The Ricky Smiley Money Show, Come most funny and mon.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
It's Smiley Money Show.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Just another day that the Lord has made. Let us
rejoice and be glad in it, Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
The Senior pass A Friendship West Missionary Baptis Shirt Dallas
Texas Passer, Frederick Douglas Haynes. That's Hans.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Good morning, Hey, Good morning, Ricky Smiley and The Ricky
Smiley Morning Show. Family. You know I love you, I
pray for you, I praise God for you. And how
you get our days off to the best start with
a smile on our face, enjoy in our hearts. Listen
today I want to deal with Travis Greens made o Way.

(00:43):
This is so powerful and so appropriate because in one
line in the song he talks about how our back's
off and against the wall, where we find ourselves in
situations that seem to be impossible, too much for us
to handle. And yet it's in those situations that Travis
Green testifies and praises God, Lord, you made away. And listen.

(01:08):
That's the word I'm given to everyone listening right now,
because someone is tuned in and you know what it's
like to feel that your back is against the wall.
You don't know how you're going to get out of
what you find yourself in that is unhealthy for you,
that is draining you, that is hurting you and hindering you. Listen,

(01:30):
we serve a God who can make a way. This
message goes out to someone who finds themselves in an
insufferable situation that is so bad that you really don't
know how this is going to turn out. Listen, here's
the good word. God is in the waymaking business. What
does it mean. It means at least these things. Number one.

(01:51):
When you know God is a waymaker, you know that
whatever is too much for you, it's tailor made for God.
I like that right there, because there are some situations
listen where they are just too big for us. But
anything too big for you, it's tailor made for God.
God can handle it. God can deal with it. God

(02:13):
is greater than your haters. God is greater than your disease.
God is greater than that situation that is trying to
hold you back and keep you down. God is bigger
than all of that. God is in the waymaking business.
And the good news is, whatever is too much for you,

(02:36):
it's just right for God. I got to tell you
one more thing, and that is God as weymaker, lets
me know that every now and then, what I need
to do is learn how to wait with the expectation
while I wait, God is making away. I love that
right there. Weight is not some passive endurance of what's

(02:57):
going on. No, Wait is in your rich with expectation
that God is moving in your situation. Wait is expectation
that God is bringing good out of what appears to
be bad. Wait. It's expectation that God is going to
have the last word here. It is, y'all. I know

(03:19):
it may feel impossible to you, but it is down
life possible for Almighty God. And the testibility is Lord,
you made away.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
It's the compete on the freaking smiling morning shots.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Hoddy, y'all, Afrida's good.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Morning, Good morning, Ricky.

Speaker 7 (03:39):
It's Tuesday, August twenty sixth. Here's what's going on in
the Newsville Police say there were no confirmed shots fired
at the University of Arkansas after calls about an active
shooter near the campus library yesterday. This comes as schools
across the country deal with a wave of fake swatting threats.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
I always stay confirmed.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
It got one yesterday is well, it's still unclear if
the Arkansas calls were part of that hoax trend. And
while campuses are dealing with false alarms, Washington is dealing
with crime policy. Ships Trump is flipping the script yet again,
saying his administration will now wait until cities ask before
sending in the National Guard. He thinks if he sends

(04:20):
troops first, opponents would just take credit when crime goes down.
Then he talked dictatorship and had nothing nice to say
about Chicago. As you all know, Chicago's a killing field
right now, and they don't acknowledge it, and they say
we don't need them.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Freedom.

Speaker 8 (04:36):
Freedom. He's a dictator.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
He's a dictator. A lot of people are saying, maybe
we like a dictator.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I don't like a dictator.

Speaker 7 (04:44):
Who said maybe we'd like a dictator. I'd love to
know that who That quote was from. Chicago Governor JB.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
Pritzkert shot back.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Mister President, do not come to Chicago.

Speaker 9 (04:56):
There is no emergency in Chicago that calls for arm
the military intervention.

Speaker 7 (05:02):
Meanwhile, about two thousand Guard troops are still posted in
DC from Washington's crime fights. In New York's minoral race,
Zaron Mamdannie, the front runner for mayor, says police should
stop enforcing misdemeanor crimes. Mam Donnie says cops should focus
on real crime, not petty offenses like shoplifting, minor assaults,
or drug possession. He's also campaigning to legalize prostitution. For

Speaker 9 (05:38):
The Cleveland Browns trade quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Las
Vegas Raiders for a fifth round draft pick. What does
that mean? That means that they have dwindled down their
final quarterbacks on their roster. Joe Flacco's number one, Dylan
Gabriel number two, the backup, and Shador Sanders will be
the third string quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. They release Tyler.

(06:00):
So that's how we're gonna start the season. Let's see
how long it lasts. Venus Williams, at the age of
forty five, she shines in the first round at the
US Open. She didn't win the match, but she looked
really good. She took the match all the way to
the finals right there. So big up to Venus steven A. Smith.

Speaker 10 (06:15):

A driver in a vehicle that was recorded Toolen literally
stopped to get gas while leading law enforcement on a whole.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
High speech chase through l A Listen to this.

Speaker 7 (11:00):
He traveled at speeds around one hundred and ten miles
per hour at times. Now, eventually officers on the ground
and the police helicopter overhead pulled off the chase.

Speaker 6 (11:09):
You know, for safety reasons.

Speaker 7 (11:10):
Now, at that point, the suspect decided to stop at
a gas station. The police weren't following him at that point,
but the chopper was, and the suspect looked.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Right into the camera while pumping gas.

Speaker 7 (11:22):
Hobson tried to catch back up with him, but he
hopped out of the car and was nowhere in sight.
Police think he was picked up by another driver. So, Ricky,
do you keep your cars like full? If somebody stole
your car, would they be able to get far?

Speaker 6 (11:35):
Or would they be out of there?

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Now?

Speaker 2 (11:37):
They're gonna get too far. They're gonna have to go
get some gas now. We ain't gonna do a lot
of a whole lot of gas now. Now, sometimes I'll
fill up just because I'm scared to go to the
gas station. Like if I go to a good gas station,
I feel safe. Yeah I would, if I'll go ahead
and fill up so I don't have to go so
but yeah, you know, sometimes i'd be like, okay, just

(11:59):
in case they heal it.

Speaker 9 (12:02):
They say nineteen miles to empty.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
Like right now, wow, full, you're riding off fumes. Oh
my gosh. And I have an electric car. I really
can barely go anywhere, Like, I just can't. I want
to plug it up. Really, I just forget. It's nothing.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
You just plug it up when you go to bed
and you're fine the next morning.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
But I just forget. It takes like two seconds.

Speaker 10 (12:24):
Right, Somebody still want car? I want them to be
able to drive a long way. Want to retord it
for about three weeks. You still you still got that?
What is that?

Speaker 6 (12:37):
I got rid of that him, Pella, I wish I
still had it.

Speaker 5 (12:39):

Speaker 5 (14:16):
I had no idea it would have to.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
They would have to.

Speaker 5 (14:20):
Yeah, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
You got to give me some good insurance. Honey, you
