you didn't know, she was on the Senate's Senate Intelligence Committee,
and this is what she had to say about the
safety and transparency of bluetooth headphones.

So I know I've been teased about this, but I
like these kinds of air ear pods that have the thing.
Because I've served on the Senate Intelligence Committee, I have
been in classified briefings that I'm telling you, like, don't
be on the train using your ear pods and thinking
somebody can't listen to your conversation. I'm just telling you

that's a little bit more secure.

And so what she's saying is use your wire for
your headphones.

If ones you use the ones that you currently have
in your ears right now, those are the ones that
you should use, not only because people cannot hack them
and listen to your conversations as well. But if you're
looking at this, Bluetooth technology has only been around for
maybe twenty years. There is no long term scientific explanation
on how this can affect your heads, and so for

kids when they're going to school, especially kids, the skulls
scientists are saying can.

Take in more radiation.

Now, is bluetooth technology the same radiation that you see
in X rays and microwaves.

No, it's a low emitting radiation, so it's not as harmful.

But there's still no study that has been done on
long term bluetooth headphone use in your head. Adults are
completely different than kids. Kids they take in more radiation
than adults because their skulls in their heads aren't completely formed.
So something to watch, something consider, and even for you
as an adult, don't go around wearing your Bluetooth headphones

in your ears all day because we do not have
enough scientific evidence on.

Yeah, And let me preface this, this is my own

there's just not enough research. But as we also get
ready for back to school, I know doctor Tart was
talking about the effects on apps and cell phone use
and kids. So it made me, you know, want to
look into more for younger kids. What are appropriate cell phones?

You know your kids have extracurricular activities, they're writing with friends.

You want to be able to reach your kids.
Speaker 10 (11:27):
Well, a great phone for kids that has no social
media on it is the Google Pixel Phone.
Speaker 4 (11:32):

Why is this good because as a parent, you can
control the apps, you can pre set the contacts that
you want in the phone for your children. And you
know it doesn't even have the Google Chrome, so they
can't search stuff on their phone. You know, they can't

your kids.
