Speaker 4 (00:13):
Taylor Swift is still talking. I think I've kind of
heard this story before, some similarity to his story. But
Taylor Swift, y'all, she was on a late night show
deal o the Night recently and she recalled, y'all, how
glamed up Zoe Cravis y'all destroyed her beautiful Beverly Hills
mansion when the actress left of pet Burmese Python while
she was honey with Popeye. She was standing at the

(00:35):
Pope icons guest house during the daily California wildfire. Now, Taylor,
I mean your miss Swift said quote. I just remember
getting a call from my head of security trying to
explain this story to me, and my first question was
what snake Swift said on the late show, y'all Honey,
she said, I was unaware of the presence of the snake.

(00:55):
Now Swift, y'all, who name dropped craffits Honey and her
famous mother Lisa bo'nate was a mused by the situation.
After the cosby shown a love Honey lost her very
muse python Orpheus Honey in the single's beautiful mansion, they said,
Orpheus y'all had managed to slither into a hole in
the wall and became stuck in one of the state's

(01:15):
bathroom as Lisa bon y'all was watching her face Honey.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Now the duel y'all was holding. Now, I was gonna
get there, they said.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
The duo was holding onto the slippery snake that managed
to get its body in a wall as an ex
welded man, y'all chop part of a vintage antique and
swift mansion. Y'all, now, she said, this is the shakiest
thing I've ever heard in my life.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
You want them type of people that like snakes.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
I don't like snake Damn, I don't like no snakes like.
I don't like snakes, And I don't like an amphibians,
frogs and lizards sound like none of that.

I know how to handle it, not get called up
in it.

I'm watching. I got a lot of education on it.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Have you ever left a snake at anybody's house? Lost
a snake?

on on you know in a podcast in burd Bany, California,
the other day, and she was not alone, y'all. Now,
Hazel was seen leaving the Adams studio with a twenty
five year old man. Now a forty five year older
I just started rebound quickly after her breakup. We wrap
her blue Face, who is fresh out out of the
state pen. Now they're saying, Honey, that haz saying her

(03:01):

No, we just date somebody with a good attitude and
a good mindset, no matter what the age is, you think.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
So she just wants to.

Speaker 7 (03:43):
Have fun and she doesn't want to, you know, no relationship,
just fun with the younger.

Speaker 2 (03:47):

Speaker 2 (07:06):
The morn, the show man, uh, the one and on that.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
Joe Johnson got three things you need to know man,
Happy Founders Day to you, Jill.

Speaker 8 (07:13):
Thank you, big brothers. Listen. I want to say happy anniversary,
Happy Founder's Day to all of the members of Alpha
fa Alba Fraternity Incorporated. And today Rick is actually my
Alpha versary. Uh so big up to my LB's Delta
Alta Lambda Chapter, Baltimore, Maryland. I'm just a proud member

(07:34):
of this noble fraternity. Brother, Listen, it's weird. There's the
Kaiser Family Foundation this week released a report and it
lays out I don't even know if they're shocking disparities
in maternal and infant health, but but they're consistent in

(07:57):
their shockingness, which almost just makes fit not only terrifying,
but irritating. It gave numbers to show that black mothers
are dying the rate of their white counterparts. I mean,
and I'm talking about when we look at these numbers, y'all,
it's forty nine point four deaths per one hundred thousand
lives verse compared to fourteen point nine deaths for white women.

(08:21):
And this isn't about income or education. The data shows
of disparity is the same when black women have higher income,
more education, better insurance. That means this is systemic bias
and unequal treatment, not personal choices. Number two, black moms
are more likely to experience preturn bursts, low birthweight, babies,

(08:46):
delayed prenatal care, and that leads to another heartbreaking fact.
Babies born to black mothers are more than twice as
likely to die in their first year of life. And
again that's not about biology, it's about access care and
how mothers are I listened to. And then third, there's
one black mother that put it like this. I kept

(09:06):
telling the nurse something was wrong. I said I couldn't breathe.
They told me it was anxiety. And by the time
they took me seriously, my blood pressure had spiked and
I was headed to the ICU. She survived, but she
almost didn't. And these are not irregular stories. They are
happening every day, And so the report makes it clear

(09:26):
like these outcomes come from structural inequities, racism and healthcare
and system unequal access to quality maternal care and policies
that continue to limit or cut back on support. And
we keep addressing it, but it's still not enough. And
so I think that there has to be a place
where we are literally giving people messages almost scripts that

(09:52):
you have to use when you go into see your doctor.
And if you're with black women, there's some to call
the use the ask, tell and ask again message like ask,
can you explain what's happening? Tell she is in pain
and this is not normal for her? Ask again, what
is the plan to address it? And it slows down, room,

(10:14):
it slows, it's it show, it slows, excuse me, and
forces medical staff to respond clearly that bring an advocacy card.
And this seems so unnecessary, but you got to communicate prefaces,
key health concerns, consistent language, emergency contacts. It reduces confusion

(10:34):
and keeps mom's needs front and center. And lastly, using
escalation scripts like in most cases we're trying to de escalate. Hell, no,
we need a second opinion right now. Call the attending
position immediately. We believe this is an emergency. This actually
activates hospital protocols that can save our women's lives. And

(10:54):
so I know these are alarming, y'all, but but they're consistent.
These are not new, and so I just I mean,
I know that that.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
You hear these.

Speaker 8 (11:07):
Numbers all the time. We've talked about these numbers all
the time, but they just don't change.

Speaker 7 (11:12):
Well, we talked about a woman just a month ago,
who was at the hospital in labor and they sent
her away and she had the baby in the car.
You know, I think we get we get lower quality
healthcare wherever we go. And not to mention the weathering effect.
You know, stress plays a huge role living with discrimination
in inequality. You know, over a lifetime, that wears the

(11:33):
body down. It's actually there's a there's literally a term
called the weathering effect, and it's like when when something
is in bad weather, it rust. That's what happens to
black women. And then we go in the hospital and
we say, hey, we're sick, and they're like, no, you're
not taking ask for I would.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
Love to do a whole segment on that, Jeff, But
I think I think that you and Alfreda's we should
definitely do a whole segment.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Then we get doctor Kylia on the phone. You make those.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
Points and and and let's create.

Speaker 8 (12:01):
A whole, a whole convers there's a whole I want
to high I want to highlight Black Mama's Matter Alliance.
That's an amazing place to get information. The National Black
Doula Association. They have a directory of black doulas and
trainers connecting families to the folks that are competently cultural,
culturally competent, and then the Black Women Health Imperative that

(12:22):
there are other organizations, but those are some and check
this out, y'all. The one thing that could change is
doctors listen to black women.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah, listen to them. And also more.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
Absolutely, that's what I was about to say. We're gonna
have to start going to doctors that understand black health.
This will I agree, you know, I got that.

Speaker 8 (12:43):
In the meantime, shut the hell up and listen. Yeah,
it's a simple thing. Nobody need their body more than
these women. Listen to them, and we got to roll
in with our sisters and advocate for them, y'all. So
hit me a justination, let me know your stories, let
me know what you're experiencing. Is we do a special
segment on this, we would love to hear your voice.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Jeff, I thought you were telling me to shut the
hell out. Can be jumping this day founder day.

Speaker 7 (13:09):
You did, understood, I said, I know, all right.
