Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ricky's Monday morning shows each week.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
You know, we read a question from Ricky Smiley's show
DMS and Bratt you got something over there?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Well, I kind of do.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Okay, here we go.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Okay, So this young lady saying, my name is Krishanna.
I'm from Houston, Texas. So I live in what I
like to call a decent neighborhood. Recently, the family living
next door moved out and I just met my new neighbor.
She seemed nice at first, and I feel like I've
been super chill about all the changes she's been making.
She asked about cutting down a share tree, fences, et cetera.

(00:44):
But now she's installed floodlights that literally go into my
bedroom and she doesn't see an issue, and even install
the camera that is pointed towards my front door and driveway.
It feels so awkward and that she's trying to spy
on us all the time. I don't know what to
do or how I should address it to her without
becoming hostile. How do I handle this situation?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
You tell her, You tell her, You just go say, hey, man,
look these lights are shining into my house and it's
causing it a little bit of a disruption. Can we
tone the lights down or maybe point them in a
different direction?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:17):
And what about the camera?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
And this camera is pointing directly at my door?

Speaker 6 (01:22):
Why would be pointed at her door instead of like
her own, you know what I mean, why would it
be pointed It has to.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Be pointed at her door or something on her house too.
Why would you just be pointed at her neighbor's door.
That makes no sense.

Speaker 6 (01:34):
Yeah, but you know what, we got one of them cameras.
But I tell you something. Our neighbors came in and
I said about They were like, hey, did you somebody
plet could you?

Speaker 5 (01:43):
I'm like, oh, now you want to know about the cameras?

Speaker 6 (01:46):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Right?

Speaker 6 (01:47):
So I mean it could be helpful. Maybe they're not
trying to spy.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
You just got to be willing to just speak.

Speaker 7 (01:53):
Up and be an adult about it, you know, And
they get upset, they get upset, but you know, you
got to you gotta, you gotta speak up.

Speaker 6 (02:03):
I feel like maybe they won't be mean because they
didn't come ask about the fence, they didn't come ask
about the sheared tree, So maybe they can be adult
about it.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Right, And you don't want to jump to conclusions.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
But I just I mean, if it's bothering, you just
gotta have a conversation, you know, and don't start an argument.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
Just you know, I think if you started with concern, like, hey,
I'm just you know, I'm obviously your my new neighbor.
I want us to get along, but I'm just a
little bit concerned about blah blah blah.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
You got to right. And so I don't know if
you realize it or not.

Speaker 7 (02:33):
But when flood lights come on, you know, it really
brightens up our room, and you know, we don't like that.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
Yeah, I don't know if you realize it or not.
That's a great way to start the conversation, Like.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Have you seen my husband? I don't want to see
him in the light. I need the darkness in that
room and all the right continue action on the freaking
Smiling Morning Show.

Speaker 6 (03:00):
Here's what's going on in the news. Another day, another deadlock.
It's deja vu in DC. The government shut down hits
the three week mark today, tying the record set back
in the Clinton era for the second longest in US history.
For the eleventh time, the Senate failed to pass a
plan to reopen the government.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
No new votes are on the calendar.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
Today, however, Senate Republicans are heading to the White House
for lunch, where Trump is expected to thank them for
staying united. Meanwhile, around seven hundred and fifty thousand federal
workers are still furloughed, and plenty of others are showing
up to work without a paycheck. North Carolina Republicans just
pushed through a redistricting plan that.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Basically wipes out the power of black voters. Again.

Speaker 6 (03:44):
State Senate gave early approval to a new congressional map
that redraws a majority black district and conveniently adds another
seat for.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
The GOP in the House.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
Trump is cheering it on from Truth Social calling it
a new fare and Improved Congressional map. The GOP says
it's about party, not race, but critics say you don't
need racial data and know which districts are a majority black,
especially ones that have elected black leaders for decades. They're
calling it a blatant power grab dressed up as politics. Meanwhile,

(04:15):
DIMMs want Trump to pull his pick for the Office
of Special Counsel, and the reason is flat out. Viole
y'all leaked a text show nominee Paula Gracia bragging about
having a quote Nazi streak in him from time to time.
He also claimed America needs quote competent white men in
charge and that the founding fathers were wrong about all

(04:38):
men being created equal. Yeah, he said the quiet part
out loud, or at least in text. The irony is
that both the Gracia and his buddy Nick quint has
a white nationalist who's by the way, Mexican, align themselves
with an ideology that would have once and in some
cases still reject them. Italians like a Gracia were seen
as uneducated, criminal and definitely not white, and Mexicans like

(05:01):
Pwintes still face that bias today. Yet here they are
cozying up to white nationalism. Oh and Agressia is also
under a sexual harassment probe at Homeland Security right now.
Even Republicans like John Thune, Rick Scott and Ron Johnson
won his nomination pull this guy seems to be a
toxic cocktail of.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
Racism, sexism, and pure delusion. For info on these.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
Stories and more, attrickis only Morning show dot Com. Now
here's the look at sports Rocky.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
The sports genius is in the building right up that
starts foot race Ready threl can't get there. Touchdown Lions.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Ah music to my ears. Touchdown Detroit Lions.

Speaker 1 (05:49):

Speaker 2 (05:50):
They beat the Bucks last night twenty four to nine
on Monday Night Football. But the Buccaneers lose their star
wide receiver Mike Evans due to a broken collar bone.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
He's out for the rest of the season. Doubleheader man.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Seattle Seahawks beat the Houston Texans also last night, twenty
seven to nineteen. And the World Series is set in baseball,
the Dodgers in the Toronto Blue Jays.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
It's gonna be a matchup.

Speaker 6 (06:12):

LA Lakers super fan Andrew Garcia, who filed a lawsuit
claim against Lebron James for eight hundred and sixty five
dollars and sixty six cents, well.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
He dropped that case. Let me tell y'all what happened, man.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
He said that he was tricked by Lebron for the
second decision that le Bron made, which turned out to
be a marketing campaign that introduced a partnership that Lebron
did with a liquor brand.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
And you thought Bron.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Was going to be announcing his retirement, and he went
and purchased an eight hundred dollars ticket that would have
been Lebron's last ever matchup with his former team, the
Cleveland Cavaliers. He's like, man, I'm just gonna charge that
to the game, so but you can still go to
the game and watch it play.

Pastor Marvin win Wining Jaw is under fire after scolding
a church member for the amount of money she gave.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Oh here we go again, close the doors.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
On the day of giving a Detroit perfecting church, Winings
was outraged when a woman came up short of the
donation he asked for. The confusion happened after Winus asked
members to donate one thousand plus one. So while wins
continued to repeat the phrase, many of the members approached
the center aisle to give two separate one thousand dollars donations.

(08:25):
There was, however, one woman who came forward with one thousand,
two hundred and thirty five dollars. And here's how he reacted.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Hi, ROBERTA.

Speaker 8 (08:33):
McCoy, giving faith and stand in unity with the vision
of perfecting church or sowing this seed of one thousand
dollars plus two hundred and thirty five dollars and receiving
the black sings. Succumb to all that participating.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Now that's only twelve hundred dollars. Yes, y'all not listening
to what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
If you have a thousand plus one thousand, okay, I'm
gonna work on the other hunt.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Well, that ain't what.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
I is that real?

Speaker 7 (09:04):
Yeah, I would have told them to move that decimal
point two spots over and take this twelve hours.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
Who's not that much money.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
The congregation, they don't really be getting offended because they're
familiar with the pastor. It's like, and that's you know,
that's how I guess they may all communicate with each other,
but us on the outside looking and it sounds like
he's being you know, maybe harsh or asking for more money.
But you know, when they make these offers in the
and the church wants a certain amount or whatever, they
can communicate with their their congregation like that because.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
You know, they know each other.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
So I hate when this happens because it makes the
pastor or the preacher look kind of bad. But they're
a family, so they communicate how they communicate it when.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
I'm sure he knows this.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Woman and he was not being like, oh well I
don't want you, you know, I'm sure he wasn't being mean.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
I mean he's a man of God.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
I really don't no it don't.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
It don't look good and it don't sound good. Just
like they tried to say to close the doors thing.
You know, it was bad because he didn't say locked
the doors. He said closed the doors. And then that
got blown all out of proportion. But I don't know,
I guess what happens.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
He didn't had a problem with.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
That, but she said she was gonna come up with
the other the other eight hundred, because the donation he
was asking for it was a thousand plus one.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
I mean, honestly, I can't go to that church because but.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
I guess if you couldn't donate it, I'm sure everybody
didn't donate it because they didn't have it.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
How could you?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
How could you just got me get what you can?

Speaker 7 (10:34):
That's wow, okay, taking away foods.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
It just it don't look good and does didn't sound good.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
I wish we could have heard more of it.

Speaker 7 (10:43):
Right, he wasn't taking away foodstamping man, you would.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Have said, here, take the twelve dollars, get my money.
