Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know, wine and football aren't that different. Sure they're complex,
but enjoying them should be easy. You don't need to
worry about complex formations and flavor profiles or which wine
pairs with what all that matters is together. Barefoot Wine
and the Rams are easy to enjoy, So let's enjoy ourselves.
Barefoot Wine the official wine sponsor.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Of the NFL.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
What is up, Jammies, Welcome back to another episode of
Rickey's Ramjam presented by bare Foot Wine, and the wine
is flowing. What an insane shootout win against the Buffalo
Bills forty four to forty.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Two on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
I still sound like this. It was so exciting.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
I got to watch the last half a little bit
in the bowl because I lost my voice because I
did a cool shoot in the tailgate, so I was
all over. I got to meet a lot of Rams fans.
It was really fun. But I was just so excited
on a high all day. And it was just such
an incredible game. That was the first game in NFL
history where both teams scored forty or more points and
(01:03):
had zero turnovers. It was such a crazy game. And
if on Network's calling, Wolf will be joining me shortly.
But it's a short week and the Niners are up next,
so let's get right to the coin toss. We didn't
get a two to two Tuddy, but he had some
major clutch plays. After Sunday's performance, he said a single
season career high in receiving yards.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
So I'm gonna double.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Down again this week. Option one for the coin toss
is a two to two touchdown. I want it so badly,
I'm putting it out into the ether. And Option two
that blocked punt return for a TD was fun against
the Bills. Let's add another special teams or defensive score
to the wish list for Thursday. Let me know below
option one or option two for the coin toss. Joining
(01:50):
me now is the woman, the myth, the legend, the
NFL Network, Queen Colleen Wolf aka my worst nightmare is
how she logged into this session.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Hello friend, Hi buddy, Welcome to my Christmas village.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Where I put lights on the inside and not on
the outside. It's just more festive this way.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
I did that too.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
I like wrapped lights around my trees, around my fireplace,
around everything. It's like kind of too many, like twinkle lights,
but it's acceptable. For right now, I just want to
start this show off with I want to give you
the floor, right so you pick the Bills to win
on NFL Network this past week, and I just want
to like give you that space to offer a formal
(02:35):
apology to the ramilin take it Away.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Well, I'll say I'm not sorry, but I do love
the way that the Rams won that game, because, you
know what, it's better when you prove people wrong. And
here I am sitting on the show and I have
no embarrassment and no shame, but I was wrong and
I want to apologize for it. You know, Hey, you
can't win them all Rams, No, but they did get
(03:01):
this one this week.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Right, And and it was such a such a fun win.
And you've had a lot of fun. I was like
going through some of your social media and stuff and
you were just like literally standing next to little Wayne,
like what is that?
Speaker 3 (03:16):
You know what? This year has been very interesting.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
We have low Wayne on the show to do some
game pics. The first week we had him on, I
love this He.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Wait, you've had him on multiple times?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Oh yeah, there's been Thanks for watching.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
There's been multiple segments multiple weeks that he's been on
and the first time around, it was low Wayne Rich
and Mooch. So Mooch and Low Wayne were next to
each other seem very and they did a whole segment
real g's move in silence like lasagna and that like
but but they had lasagna there for Mooch, so Mooch
(03:56):
was just like literally eating lasagna while they.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Don't even matter. Yeah, it was great. Yeah, So that's
what's happening. That's my life and I'm into it.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
That's that's so funny. I'm sorry multiple times.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
It's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, that's that's That's a nugget that
I'm gonna hold on to for for a little while.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
But yeah, that's put it in your pocket.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, I'll pull it out when I when I need it,
when I'm having a bad day.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
So yes, the Bills what what a historic matchup between
the Bills and Rams that that shootout was so much fun,
very anxiety riddling.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
That's why my voice.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Sounds like this a little bit.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
But Colin, like, what do you think we learned about
the Rams after that win?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
I think that in terms of the Rams, first of all,
when Pukaa Kua and Cooper Cup are both healthy.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
This offense is completely different.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
So I feel like this was the offense that the
Rams sort of envisioned for themselves before the season started,
this high powered offense, And it reminds me a little
bit of last year when they struggled a little bit
before the bye, then after the bye what they went
like seven and one, uh, and then this year six
and two after the bye, and it just feels like
(05:17):
they kind of have like just started to hit their stride.
But they're always a threat to just pop off for
explosive plays at any point in a game, so you
just you never know. And watching the game against the Bills,
it was like whenever they needed something to happen, whenever
they needed a play, the Rams somehow, some way found
(05:38):
a way to get it done.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
I mean the Rams are ten and one in December
when Stafford is under center.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
What is it about this guy late.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
In the season like you just alluded to, like he
just really seems to have that clutch gene.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yeah, I mean I think that he knows when it's
time for him to deliver. And Sean McVay and and
Matthew Stafford, they.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Just are such a good couple. Like what an adorable,
great couple they are.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Because Stafford made mcveigh's game plan just like absolutely saying
he slayed in this game against the Bills and it
just didn't.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Matter the situation. He just kept coming up clutch.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
And when he has all of his guys out there,
it just feels like they can do anything.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Yeah, they really can.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
And the offensive line has finally kind of become this
cohesive unit. We've been missing so many pieces throughout that line,
and so you talk about even earlier in the season,
I think people kind of fall off with the Matthew
Stafford train when they're not kind of eyes on him
all the time. But when you see him, you know,
he's got ten touchdowns, zero interceptions over the last four games.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Like, when everyone's healthy, I want to talk pooka a second.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
You know, we can't talk about this offense and not
go in a little bit more detail in the puka.
Is there anything he does that surprises you at this point?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
The cash that he had on the sideline with that
body control like just completely I don't even know how
to describe it, because it was so incredible to watch
how he was able to like catch the ball and
then completely just froze so he could just get and
stay in bounce.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
The toe tap was awesome. He's just so much fun.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
To watch and I don't know how he does it,
but it's like if the ball is even anywhere in
his vicinity, he figures out a way to catch it.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
And same with Cooper Cup.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
But Pukah's just I mean, like I love his hair,
I just love everything about him. He plays so big,
and it's like what a surprise he was last year,
so no one should be surprised this time around, but
somehow it's still shocking when he makes some of these plays.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Yeah, he's the first player in NFL history with twelve receptions,
one hundred and fifty receiving yards, a rushing touchdown, and
a receiving touchdown, So he is like lights out and
calling as the shoe connoisseur. Tell me the importance of
Puka during that catch. You were just talking about not
even increasing the JS on that toe type toe tap,
Michael Jackson.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
I mean, come on, Like I watched it over and
over again and I was like, it's almost like a ballerina,
but like I don't even know how how to like
act with Like I don't even know how to really
describe what I was feeling when I watched it, And like,
I can't imagine what he was feeling when.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
He caught that ball. And I love the.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
Fact that he and Cooper Cupp will play together for
the first time against the Niners this week. I didn't
realize that there was like never a time against the
Niners that they were both on the field together at
the same time, and this is going to be the
first time.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
That's I'm kind of crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I didn't even think I knew that. That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Yeah, yeah, there you go.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
You're just Ram Jam I'm call learning today.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
This is yeah you are.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
So the Rams and Niners are on TNF and you
know this big division showdown. Rams looking for their first
season sweep since twenty eighteen. What do they need to
do to get it done? Could it just be this
dynamic duo between Pooka and Coop.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I mean that certainly helps for sure, Like they are.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
In games the twenty games that they've played together since
Pooka was drafted, they're averaging one hundred and fifty point
five combined receiving yards per game. Like they just it's
so special when they're on the field together because it
gives them so many different options and it just stretches
the defenses and they're able to run so many different things,
which we know Sean McVay absolutely loves. And the Rams
(09:40):
now at this point they kind of control their own
destiny for the division. So it's more of a question
of like whether or not this offensive performance that we
just saw.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
They absolutely shredded the Bills.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
What was it like four hundred and fifty seven total
yards of offense against them, can they continue to power
them to a late playoff r and like that forty
four points the most they scored all season. It's just
now that they're healthy, they look they actually look like
the team that they could be.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
No, I'm excited for this game.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
I don't I don't have the statistics to back it up,
but it does feel like every time the Rams have
to like turn around with like you know, two wins
and five days and this and that like every short
week when the last couple of years, it like feels
like the momentum is riding really high. So I'm really
excited for for this game. All right, Colin, I want
to do a little you know, we used to host
(10:31):
a show together rip called split ends at NFL Network
and we would do a little headline check. So I
figured we'd do a little hotter not reunion like Rams. Addition,
if you'll indulge me, sure, okay, all right, So we'll
go through these it's been a while, rapid fire style.
(10:52):
I'll read you a headline and you let me know
if it's hot or not.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
In the postgame presser with the Bills and Rams, coach
McVeigh called Josh Allen an alien.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Hot. He's not lying at all.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
I mean, I love when a respectful coach just shows
some love for what great talent there is out there.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
That sportsmanship ricky.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yep, love it.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Pooka on the Pat McAfee show on Monday, when asked
if he knows where the Rams sit in the NFC West,
and he replied, I know we play someone in our
division Thursday night.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Oh my god, Okay, not this is not hot at all.
Don't try and confuse one of our favorite players. It
doesn't even matter where they are in the division.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Just leave Pooka alone.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Yep, yep, Pooka stays ready.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
When asked in the postgame locker room, Cooper Cup said
it pained him to admit that Puka can jump.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Oh my god, that's hot. That's super hot.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
Look that's wide receiver duo in the league also has
an amazing big brother little brother relationship.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Come on, you love to see it.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
The Bills sent former Rams David Edwards, Von Miller and
Taylor Rapp as captains for the coin.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Toss Hot Hot, Hot, Hot, Gonna spin this positive and
not petty here, show I respect for their old teammates
and home.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
I love that NFL network blonde host picked the Bills
to win and was embarrassed on Sunday by Matthew Stafford
and co.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Okay, not I already said sorry. I will only say sorry.
Actually I didn't even say sorry.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
So no, not cold cold Sofi Stadium, putting the crying
Snapchat filters on losing fans.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Oh my god, it's so hot. It's hilarious.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
I could not want to see it more than I
already do.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
I love it so much.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Kobe Turner, the conductor, being revealed as the masked singer.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Yeah, I mean, I guess this is hot.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
Actually that man, you know what he does the wicked
choreography and he can sing like that.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
And be a defensive captain. Come on, now, that is hot,
hot hot.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Tom Brady asked Pooka postgame what his name meant, and
when he replied fat, Tom responded with, you have some
Pookahs up front.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
No, no, it's bad. It's so not Tom Brady.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
I love that he's trying, but it's it's got a land, buddy.
I mean, Pukah's grandma's nickname is the best thing in
the world.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Imagine your nickname for the whole world to know is
just like fat, like Puka, but he's like the stud
that he is.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Like that is the coolest thing I've ever heard.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
All Right, last one coach, Coach McVeigh and Kyle Shanahan
great friends in real life.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
But bos on the field, oh so hot.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
We love competitive friends, like I'll take that all day long.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
That's what we are, Ricky, yep, yep, competitive friends.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
I'm excited. Yeah this rivalry competitive friends. Yeah, this rivalry
is gonna be fun and I'm excited for the showdown
on Thursday night. Okay, calling quickly before I let you go,
describe your perfect day start to finish.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Ah, wow, that is a loaded question.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
My perfect day is a day that I do not
have to put on any makeup or do my hair
or have a fun outfit. I can roll out in
sweats and really not do anything.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
That's my perfect day is mine to just chill.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
Maybe I go to the beach, maybe I walk my
dog Dasher, Maybe I go and get my nails done.
But I like to know where there is absolutely nothing
planned and listen.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
That's something that really rarely happens.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Which celebrity would you like to switch lives for with
one day?
Speaker 4 (14:58):
And why?
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Ricky Hollywood?
Speaker 4 (15:01):
For sure, because I would like to work for the
Rams one day when I grow up.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
That would be cool. That would be cool.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Iced coffee on a snowy day or a hot coffee
in a heat wave.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Oh god, this is bad both ways. I guess ice
coffee on a snowy day.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Yeah, you're a Philly girl.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Hot in a heat wave?
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Yeah? Okay good? Yeah I knew I could count on you. Colleen,
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Yeah yeah yeah, a little hold the ice, just like
just a exact coffee.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Oh my god, I love you.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
It's so great to see you. I love to watch
I love watching you and Lil Wayne every single show.
I never miss a show it's so exciting, so great
to hear. Thank you so much for stopping by and
your insight as always, and I am excited to see you.
You know for your picks this week pick the Rams
over the Niners for te up. Love you there she goes.
(15:59):
It's always fun when I am with Colleen. That made
me very happy and I hope you enjoyed it too.
It's a short week. We're on to Thursday night football.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
So you guys know what to do.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Let's rim it.
