Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, he's putting down the weights as we speak
to talk to you, guys.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I didn't put down no weights. I don't spend I
don't spend every waking moment in the gym.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Sam.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Only seventeen hours out of the day, I got to.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Sleep only only seventeen hours.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Only seventeen hours. I gotta sleep, I got I gotta get.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Some rest sometimes, yes, sir, yes, sir.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
How you feeling today.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Man, I'm all right, man, got my energy. Man, i'm'a
sleep going and I had to make some changes, and
so far, so good.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
I'm not excited about us finally getting the spring in August,
though this.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Is but let's say for eight days.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yeah, man, sixty degree weather and rain in August. I'm
not excited about this at all.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
This one is supposed to be hot.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I woke up this morning. It changed my whole move
when I heard the way that rain was hitting the roof.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I got a hoodiey'all, me too, And you know, I don't.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Even like you can't can be talking about me because
I turned the heat and see the uh and the
heated steering wheel up right?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Like what is this?

Speaker 4 (01:13):
You know?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Sixty degrees in the fall feel way worse than sixty
degrees in the spring.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
It just feels so much colder. Yeah, man, it just
feels so much colder. But look, let's get after it.
The gyms are starting to fill up again. The people
that was off for the summers, that said sum are
gonna get the body it's gonna gets. It's almost like January.
The parking lots is getting packed again. People coming back

(01:38):
to the gym again. So for my veteran gym people,
please be patient with the people.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
That's only gonna being your way for about the next
month or two before they give up again.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
What's the truth, It goes.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
And so it goes in cycles, or I always say this,
be helpful to those people, Be kind to those people,
Be open to showing those people things, because a lot
of the people, the reason they'll stop going to the
gym is because they're intimidated by everything that's going in
the gym and they don't really know what to do.

(02:16):
If a hundred people showed up at your gym this
week and one or two of them stay because you
were kind, because you showed them how to do something,
because you were welcoming to them in the space you
wouldn't look at them like.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
How long are you gonna be? You in my way?
You could be saving a life.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
So I see it all the time, you know, people
posting on social media with certain things that people are
doing in the gym. If you see somebody doing something
that could potentially injure them and you're not comfortable saying
something to them, let one of the trainers at the
gym tho, hey, you know they was over there doing something.
I don't want them to get hurt, because everybody don't
want to be approached by a stranger. Let somebody at

(02:56):
the gym know. But let's invite people and be welcome
to new people being in the space, even if you
know it adds an extra five or ten minutes to
our workout, or we can't necessarily get our favorite machine
this day. We got to do something different that works
the same body part. But let's be open to these people,
because you could really be saving a life by not

(03:18):
bullying these.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
People out of the jymney. Yeah, man, because even know
they're going to be there two months.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
These people, right, what you mean, these people's welcome.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
In when I first when I first got going though, right,
you would want to go and ask somebody, hey, how
do you you'd be afraid? What do you mean right
to use something like you stay? Yeah, that's back where
Balle's was around human see.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
But yeah, man, I used to work at Ballets. That
that's for me and Philly. We go back twenty five
years in this game.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
That's where we first met at We worked out at
Balle's U back in the day. And now I used
to be able to just go to the gym, put
my hood on, put my headphones on, but now my
social media them blew up. I'm on the Sam Silk
Show every Wednesday. People don't care if I got a
hood on, if I got my headphones on. They're gonna
come up to me and they gonna ask me for
some advice in the gym. And I'm welcoming and I

(04:17):
give them a little bit of my time and I
talk to them. You know, hey, let me finish this set.
And then you got a question, I answer it. But
I'm only giving you one or two questions. You're not
getting free.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Personal right, not the whole right, the whole workout.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Playing here. Here's two things you can do to help this,
and then we keep it moving and people be like
you just give it away free advice.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Man.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Look, I might just say that person's like, well, I
might have just helped that person keep coming to the gym.
So you know, just be again, be welcoming to those
people that are gonna be in the gym for the
next two to three months, and then they're gonna disappear
around mid October and they'll be back in January. Off,
right now, they gotta work. They gotta so they're gonna

(04:58):
work through. They're gonna work through up to about Halloween,
and then they gonna be like, well, this Halloween, I'm
about to eat all this candy. And then they not
gonna come back in and be hit in November because
they're gonna be like, well Thanksgiving is in three weeks
and then see the Thanksgiving it over, they're gonna say,
well I might as well wait till after Christmas.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
So they.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
That's how that goes.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
But they going though, I'm sorry, they tried, They're going
they tried.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
If you come four times a year for one month,
you're still doing better than the person that don't come.
It off.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
There you go, and how could they follow you so
they can get up with you?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Get some training, everything is two one six months old
and we only got three weeks left.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Three weeks. It is September twenty first.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
It is at Faul the Sam Summer Sizzle Personal Training
special hit me Up. I got three days a week
of personal training for two months only two hundred dollars
