Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm kid you Brown, and it's time for what's trending. Now.
You remember that whole situation with Warner Discovery that was
supposed to be bought up by Netflix and then well
Paramount They well Warner Brothers, they decided to reject Paramount's
one one hundred and eight billion dollar bid. Now they
(00:20):
said that the money was too shaky, and the Netflix
deal they said, listen, we're going to move on that direction.
So they're standing behind that previous announcement from Netflix. But
you know, there was a lot of politics that were
going on with that whole situation. So you know, it's
not over till it's over. Those billionaires they play a
little differently, so we'll see what all shakes out when
(00:42):
it comes to that licensing. Now, new core testimony has
added some details details we probably don't even need for
the criminal case involving former Michigan coach Chharon Moore. Now,
police statements are alleging that a prolonged pattern of domestic
by talents was tied to the secret relationship with the
(01:03):
university staff member over the two years that they were
having a relationship. So police say that the situation escalated
after the staff are cut off communication with Moore on
December eighth. Two days later, More allegedly arrived unannounced at
her home, entered without permission, and then refused to leave.
Now Moore faces one felon account of third degree home
(01:25):
invasion and two misdemeanor charges for stalking and breaking and entering,
and he has not been charged with assault. But if
he's convicted on the felon account, he could face up
to five years in prison. Now, the next hearing is
scheduled for January twenty second of twenty twenty six. And
of course he's not publicly commented on the allegations his
(01:46):
firing or the charges he was dismissed for cause resulting
in the forfeiture. This is the hard part for me Yaf.
He left twelve point three million dollars guaranteed under his
contract own the table. That's the rough part right there. Now.
Situation in India with an unlicensed doctor actually caused the
(02:09):
death of a woman after a botch surgery was performed
while the doctor while the alleged doctor was intoxicated and
following a YouTube utorial. Now, this woman's husband brought her
into this clinic with severe stomach pains and so they
offered her a discount. The original surgery to do to
(02:30):
remove a kidney stone was gonna be twenty thousand rupees,
well twenty five thousand rupees or two hundred and seventy
five dollars, but they discounted it to two hundred and
twenty dollars. But they said that the doctor was reportedly
drunk during the surgery and he was using YouTube tutorials
for guidance throughout the operation. Now, if that was my husband,
(02:53):
I would be like, why didn't you not grab me
off the table? If you see somebody as visibly drunk,
then you need to take me out of the clinic
and take me to a hospital somewhere. Well, unfortunately, this
woman's suffered severed multiple nerves in the stomach, intestine, and
esophagus which led to her death. And they were promised
(03:16):
that there were going to be more doctors that came,
but no medical professionals arrived. And when the doctor, when
the alleged doctor got busted, well him and the nephew
that was there at the clinic with them, they left
her right there at the clinics. So now there are
criminal charges that will be following. Now, if you're used
(03:38):
to seeing the Oscars, the Academy Awards, the awards they
are going to be moving from ABC to YouTube in
twenty twenty nine after the deal with ABC ends. So
this has been running on ABC since the seventies, but
the Academy Awards, they're acknowledging that the audience has actually moved.
(03:59):
This are smaller, and they said that access matters now
more than tradition. So now there's a deal between YouTube
and the Academy Awards that will begin with the one
hundred and first Oscar ceremony in twenty twenty nine and
it's going to run through twenty thirty three. And so
they're saying that the Academy is an international organization and
(04:22):
the partnership will allow them to expand the work of
the Academy to the largest worldwide audience possible with YouTube.
So I don't know, I don't know who they think
is about to be searching all over the place for
all these apps and all this stuff to find just
to find what you want to watch. You can't watch
a game nothing. But also speaking of sports, the New
York Knicks, well they took home some hardware and a
(04:44):
little money to boot after they won the NBA Cup.
Now they got a pretty nice little financial bonus because
winning the NBA Cup comes with a five hundred and
thirty thousand dollars payout for each eligible player and the coaches.
So they're saying, listen, and for some of the rookies
and some of the coaches that aren't making that much money,
this is pretty significant. And you know, if you go
(05:07):
down to second place, they earn about two hundred and
twelve thousand dollars per player, and quarterfinal teams they get
about fifty thousand dollars per player. So that's still pretty
a nice little come up. And veteran Josh Hart, he
had a lot of jokes. He had a little sense
of humor about the whole situation. Now, he lost some watches.
His house was robbed. He was robbed up one hundred
(05:29):
and eighty five thousand dollars of watches. So he said, listen,
I'm gonna buy a new watch. And he said, if
I go to Vegas, he said, I put something known
in I might double it and then I could buy
more watches. But there was also a viral moment that
was caught when they were getting the trophy and you
saw all the little ticker tape coming down Josh Hart,
he gave a nice little goose to Jalen Brunson, and
(05:50):
Jalen Brunson looked around, like, what in the world are
you doing? So I'm sure that little goose is going
to follow him for a long time. TI He is
saying that the viral video showing this big old ball
spot in the back of his head, he said it
was AI. I think that's what everybody's gonna say these days,
(06:12):
is it was photoshopped. It was Ai something like that.
But he says it wasn't me, and so he laughed
the whole thing off. But I don't know. I saw
that video. I ain't never seen an AI like that.
But I guess we'll never know, because I'm pretty sure
he'll never be caught without a hat again, not looking
like that, all right,
