This week I am sharing a podcast I was interviewed on so I am in the guest seat!

Remember, we all have the power to shape the future of our food system. Let's make choices that nourish the soil, our bodies, and our planet.

Here are 3 key takeaways from our conversation on how to improve soil health and create a sustainable food system:

1️⃣ Biodiversity is crucial: I emphasized that promoting biodiversity is a key principle of regenerative farming. Monoculture soy farms harm wildlife, while regenerative farms with diverse crops and animals actually support wildlife conservation. Let's prioritize biodiversity in our agricultural practices for the benefit of both nature and ourselves.

2️⃣ Choose better food, for yourself and the environment: I pointed out that the current price system for organic food is an illusion. Paying more for higher nutritional value and quality is actually cheaper in the long run. By supporting farmers who practice regenerative farming and avoiding mass-produced, chemically-treated food, we can contribute to a healthier food system.

3️⃣ Take control of your choices: Consumers have the power to drive change in the food system. By buying directly from farmers, asking questions about the origin and production methods of your food, and supporting innovative post-COVID food access solutions, we can create a demand for healthier, sustainably-grown food. Let's make conscious buying decisions and be part of the positive change we want to see in the world.
