This series is inspired by 'Start Up' the story of Gimlet Media told through the voice of Alex Blumberg. Alex's podcast being a huge success as he chronicled the rise of his Podcast Company to its acquisition by Spotify for a reported 200 million dollars.
Alex and I have uncanny similarities
- Both come from extensive radio and production backgrounds
- Both Fathers
- Both knew/know nothing about business
- Both had dreams of changing the landscape of video/audio
I listen to the 'Start Up 'podcast to give me hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel, that I'm not crazy for thinking I have the ability to move the meter with my knowledge and skills, and that there is a need and want, more than ever, to tell real stories in a world of artificial lives and technology.
