Hosted by Greg Porée
Our Podcast open addresses the healing
power in music, both from a scientific perspective
and emotional perspective. It then segues into the
way Blues, as an art form, has contributed to that
healing process.
An in depth interview with the Mississippi born
Blues artist, Zac Harmon. The interview tracks Zac’s career from
his early years to 1979 when he, and
Cassandra Wilson were my students in a master class I
taught at Jackson State in Mississippi. From
there he moved to L.A. to pursue a career in R&B.
After 2000 though he decided to go back to his
Blues roots and commit totally to that art form.
That led him to many adventures around the world.
