Ricarda Lang, ehemalige Grünenchefin, kritisierte in extrem scharfen Worten den Charakter von CSU-Chef Markus Söder und seine Rolle in den Jamaika-Sondierungen 2021. »Ich muss sagen, der Mann ist bei mir seitdem charakterlich unten durch«, sagte sie.
»Ich kam mir vor, als ob wir auf einer Bühnenaufführung zuschauen, wie Markus Söder hier den großen Zampano spielt.« Söder habe, so erzählt Lang, jedes Mal den Raum verlassen, wenn Laschet geredet habe, um sich einen Kaffee zu holen. »Das war ein durchtriebenes, Ihre Autorität vollkommen unterlaufenes, zwischenmenschlich feixendes Verhalten«, sagte sie in Richtung Armin Laschet. Sie habe an diesem Tag »jeden Respekt vor Markus Söder verloren.«
