עדי, או כפי שנהגו לקרוא לו בבית עדידוש או עדידי, היה בחור מלא חיים, עם חיוך תמידי על הפנים, מנהיג מלידה, המסמר של החבורה. חברים נהרו אחריו, כשהוא, בנועם ובהומור משובח הוביל אותם ויצר חברויות עמוקות ורבות שנים.
ב-31 באוקטובר 2023, נפל סמ"ר עדי ליאון ז"ל באסון הנמר. לצידו נפלו עוד עשרה לוחמים מהגדוד. עדי הותיר אחריו מחברת, ושם הקדיש מכתבי פרידה למשפחתו, לחבריו ולמדינה אשר לה, בין היתר, כתב: "אין לנו ארץ אחרת ועכשיו תורי להגן עליה. זה החינוך שנתנו לי הורי, בזה אני מאמין. מקווה שתזכרו אותי, עדי".
