Welcome to Talking High Performance with Bel! Today, we’re discussing rejection—something everyone faces. So, what’s the high performance difference? The difference is that high performers use "no" as fuel instead of a barrier.
A colleague once told me to use more humour in my workshops. I feared it wasn’t professional, but embracing it made my sessions more engaging and authentic. Rejection isn't an end, it's a redirection. When you're denied a promotion or opportunity, ask, "What can I learn?" High performers see rejection as growth, not failure.
Picture your goals as a bridge: visualising gives belief, planning maps the way, and action takes you across. Even against rejection, high performers keep going. A CEO I know faced resistance but refined their vision and achieved growth and there are plenty of examples of this being used everyday. Rejection is a chance to grow and strengthen your resolve. Say yes to yourself and your dreams.
