Speaker 2 (00:11):
Do my mum's from Blackpool? It's nice black Ball, fourteen
in Belfast.

Ireland podcast, presented by Gallagher.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I'm Jay Lawrence, no relation.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
He's Kira Am Suran Key. It's another victory podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Did you just say it's nice in Blackpool?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I like Blackpool. Okay, let's move on. Yes, another victory podcast.
Absolutely fantastic. What a great couple of weeks. Man Like, unbelievable.
I can get used to this. I'm not gonna lie
to you this time.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
The Jags triumphant in the divisional game with the Cls.
I saw so many people, by the way, Key saying
that this is and to quote, this is the biggest
let's put this in context, the biggest probably regular season
game ever for the Jags. I heard people say everything
in the Jags hands now thirty six nineteen over Indianapolis,

(01:01):
top of the AFC South. We're going to talk about
all of that in a moment with Jason Bell. But
first we will see you on Sunday. We're getting together
for our Christmas d at the Greenwood Pub in Victoria
in London, where we'll be recording an episode of Till
Talk whilst also watching the Jets Jags game December fourteenth.

(01:21):
So just to be clear that this upcoming Sunday you
are invite, would love to see you there, love for
you to come on down if you fancy, you know,
a festive get together with some of your mates.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
The Greenwood has tables available that.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
You can book via the Sports London website at Sport
London dot com under Greenwood. Those details are also on
Janguars dot co dot UK. We'd love to see you there.
We're gonna watch hopefully the Jags win against the Jets
and key this. There's some stuff going on, there's some
stuff that's going to be available to win, so.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I'm just gonna say right. Sarah from Jags UK has
just been showing us a few options of what might
be given away on Sunday and I said I'd take
any one of those things.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
The one thing that we can say is definitely going
to be up for grabs is a signed Travon Walker jersey,
which is amazing and I am not eligible to get it, so.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Worth the trip alone. Just for that thing.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
In my opinion, yeah, absolutely, And look, I'll tell you what,
more than anything else, it'd be really nice to have
a get together and just talk Jags whilst watching Jags.
We'd never get to talk and you j do we Yeah, yeah,
I know exactly. It's not as if we have a
weekly time set in the diary. But I'm really looking
forward to this anyway. I'm just going to repeat how

(02:43):
you can you know, book a table. It's at the
Greenwood Pub in Victoria in London if you go to
the Sport London website that's Sport London dot com under Greenwood.
Those details as well are on Jaguars dot co dot UK.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
All right, let's onto that victory then, shall we.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
And you know, it's just great going into this game
against the Jets actually with that huge victory over the.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Colts and this is fun. This is fun.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I mean I saw that coach Cohen said, I don't
know if we will ever get any respect, but that's fine,
and I.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Kind of think, do you know what, I don't need respect.
I don't need respect, do you know what?

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Aside?

Speaker 1 (03:20):
We just need w's just need those victories, just need
those victories and It's been a great few weeks, and
let's just quickly start with what you said before. We
started key about the Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
So we've talked about it when coach Cohen came in,
we talked about it with Jason and one of the
questions we asked was do we think we are yet
to see the best of Trevor Lawrence. We got a
definitive answer to that on Sunday, which is yes, because
that is the best I have seen Trevor Lawrence play

(03:55):
as a Jacksonville Jaguar. That is the Trevor Lawrence that
we have been waiting to see since college. He was
phenomenal on Sunday. He did so. He did the stuff
that he usually does, which is short, sharp passes, using
his legs when he needs to, et cetera, et cetera.
But the deep balls, the vision and the amount of time. Okay,

(04:16):
let's also give credit to the offensive line because that
they were on fire on Sunday. The amount of time
that Trevor Lawrence had, he's looking up his vision, he's
scanning the field.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Those deep balls.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Honestly, I think that's the best we've seen him play
as the Jacksonville Jaguar. What do you think?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I definitely agree.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
And there was there was there was a brilliant throw
where he rolled out to his left and he just
you know, just it was a dart right down the line.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I can't remember who was this.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
It was to Tim Portrick for the touch, Tim Patrick,
and it was it was a really great throw. And
that's the sort of throw that you see quarterbacks do
and you think that's not good because you're sort of.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Against your body.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
To do that.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
So look at so it made me think of Patrick Mahomes.
When Patrick Mahomes is at his best. Some of the
stuff that he's doing is what you're taught not to do,
but it's so like instinctive to do it. And when
you like, honestly, probably three months ago, if you watch
Trevor Lawrence do that, that that that doesn't work out.
But at the moment it's working out. He's got confidence,

(05:18):
he's trusting in his body and his instincts are firing,
and so he's getting away with plays like that because
he's now performing at the level that we all thought
that he could.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I want to shout out a few receivers as well,
because it feels like that the receiver group is getting
back to full health.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Obviously, please tell the top of your list.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, Jacoby Mayer's is top of the list because I
think you know, not only has he been a great
option for Trevor Lawrence over the last few weeks, but
what the most important thing that Jacoby Mayas has done
is he's created this focus that the defense has to
think about, which of course makes it easier for these
other players. Now, let's share your spot on your spot

(06:00):
on now, he only caught for thirty nine yards in
this game, Jacoby Myers.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
He opened up the rest of the field for everyone else.
Look at the so Brian Thomas Junior is catching those
deep passes because the routes are so much cleaner and crisper,
and Jacoby Myers is like he's something has changed in
that receiver's room because of him. In my opinion, he's
made such a difference. I think credit to Brian Thomas junr.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Of course, who hasn't had the season that he would
have expected. I think that that's fair to say. Yeah,
only three receptions but for eighty seven yards, and there
were a bunch of catches. Actually, I think maybe even
all of these catches are a couple of them. At
the very least, these weren't easy, easy balls, easy catches,
So credit to Trevor Lawrence for throwing them in the
first place. Credit to Brian Thomas junior Tim Patrick with

(06:46):
the most receptions in this game with five.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
And then, and we spoke about.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Earlier on this season as well, Brenton Strange coming back
into the lineup, and I think that is I mean,
we speak about Jacoby Myers making a difference, but that
has made a massive difference as well.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
I just want to look as well, because that boy
can block well.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I just want to look at the Indianapolis Colts for
a second as well. And I know that You've got
a big opinions on this, and I'll get to those
in a second. It has to be said that despite
I want to be clear that the Jags did catch
an interception from Daniel Jones prior to him going out,
but at the same was it the same play, Actually
it might have been that same play that.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
He went out later, But he is Achilles Daniel Jones.
We you know, I know that he's in opposition and
the Cults are in ac South team, but you never
want to see that happen to anybody. You never want
to see anyone go down. But you know, as well
as beating the Colts in a divisional matchup, that him
being out for the rest of the season is huge
for the Jags.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah, I understand that. I think it's difficult, isn't it
when you talk about players.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
That are injured and whatever, and.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
You don't want to come across when you're pleased about it,
because that's not the case whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
I completely understand what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
The other thing is obviously Anthony richardson the back cup quarterback.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
He's out as.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Well Riley Leonard who came in and scored a touchdown
to his credit. I suppose he could possibly be injured
for the Indianapolis Cults as well, which is bizarre. And
this is the most bizarre storyline, bizarre addition, potential addition,
and by the time that you're listen to this, you'll
know whether this has happened or not, I imagine. But the
Colts have tried out Philip rivers At, an actual grandfather

(08:25):
who is forty four years old, who hasn't played in
the NFL for five years. This is crazy, to be clear,
he in his time is you know, he's a potential
Hall of Famer.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
He is.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
He's not that far off or is it even that
far off from being nominated for the Hall of Fame.
That's how long it's been since he's actually played, which
is crazy. But you know, it looks like that there's
a chance that he might come back into the league,
which is absolutely crazy.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
The same tryout, weren't they Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
They will.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
We'll go through the whole of the AFC South in
a little bit with Jason, but let's just finish on
Key what you said to me earlier about how the
Jags the Indianapolis did not lose this game.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
The Jags won this game.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
So yeah, I think so. A lot of the reporting
that I saw after the game was about Daniel Jones
going out and the Colts losing the game. That wasn't
the narrative that I saw. The narrative that I saw
was regardless of Daniel Jones being in the game or not,
the Jaguars absolutely dominated the Colts. The Jaguars won that game.

(09:35):
The Colts did not lose it. The Jaguars won because
they were a better team. They played incredibly well. Maybe
there's some sort of benefit to going under the radar
a little bit, and as coach said, maybe there's some
benefits for not being respected and so on and so forth.
But let's be clear. The Jaguars won that game. The
Colts did not lose it, and it had nothing to

(09:55):
do with Daniel Jones going out because they were dominating
before that happened, in my opinion, to do very well anyway,
enough for me absolute pleasure to welcome in Jason Bell
NFL pundit Jason, and to fill you in my take.
So after the game on Sunday, I had enough of
reading media talking about the Colts losing that game. The

(10:19):
Colts didn't win that game. The Colts didn't lose that game.
In my opinion, the Jaguars won that game. They were dominant.
What do you think I think?

Speaker 4 (10:27):
I under send your pain. I get it. You're a
real fan, and that's what's important. I love it.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
I will say this though, that's how you fuel the
locker room. That's how you go in with the bulletin
board material. We believe it, We put.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
It on the board.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Listen, they don't believe you did it. Look at it,
read it. Are you going to prove it next week. Man,
Any motivation you can get you lean into. As a
head coach, sometimes you got to manufacture.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
You've got to make somebody the enemy.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
But if they already are telling you things you want
to hear or don't want to hear, oh that's a
blessing in disguise.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Just post it on the wall and let it rain.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Yeah, how much of a big deal is that? Because
I remember a couple of years.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Ago or a few years ago, I think the New
England Patriots had just come off of winning a Super
Bowl and they they were picturing themselves as underdogs and
it was like, well, you're.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Not, like you just won a super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
How much of a have you ever been in this
time when you've been in the dressing room where there's
been some sort of you know, motivating or motive trying
to you know, as you say, manufactured motivation where you've
just been like this is have you been able to
recognize it's manufactured or you're just buying in all the time.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Complacency is a killer. If you're complacent, it will ruin you.
And coaches know that. So is it manufactured?

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Maybe? But we understand we're on a razor's edge.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
We can feel when we're getting over confident, and if
the head coach feels that and puts us in our place,
we understand. Hey man, people are coming out for us.
They're trying to they're trying we're at the top of
the mountain. They're trying to bring us down. If you're
in that position, you understand it. So is it false motivation? No.
I think the best head coaches understand the temperature of

(12:09):
their team and they coach them accordingly. We've talked about it.
Sometimes you got to build them up. You gotta tell them, hey,
you're not as bad as they say you are. Look
how close you are. And when you're playing good, you
got to say, look how close we were to losing.
We got to fix this. We gotta make sure this
is all right now. You can't go from bad to great.
You gotta go from bad to good and then good

(12:30):
to great. So you always have to be aware of that.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Jason is I should have told I'm thinking, is coach
coming in the conversation for Coach of the season.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Yeah, he's up there for sure. I mean, this is
a tough year. There's some really good coaches. I mean,
what Mike Rabel's doing over there. You gotta applaud him.
But yeah, the thing I like about Liam calling what
he's done is the identity that he had and that
you hired him for. Is what you see his team
and that that's what it's all about. Trevor Lawrence. Man,

(13:04):
I mean, you see these dudes on the sideline. Now,
they're boys, they're homies. It's like, hey, man, did you
see that?

Speaker 4 (13:10):
You see? I saw what you said? You know?

Speaker 5 (13:12):
Okay, all right, that's what you brought him here for.
You said, man, somebody can come in. We know we
got a talented quarterback. It's the coaching. Will you see
his identity on the team? People are rallying behind him. Uh,
They're they're tougher, they're more physical. So absolutely, this looks
like the best hire they've had.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
I'm interested.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Because obviously, just because you're a head coach doesn't mean
the all head coaches are the same and doesn't mean
that the way they handle.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Their players are the same.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
And uh, coach coach seems like quite an open guy.
Have you had experiences before with completely different head coaches
and and and the way that they operate with the
with the personnel, with the players.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Do you see uh do you do? You have you did?

Speaker 4 (14:04):
You know?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
It's a difference when you were playing, you know, depending
on how they were you know, upbringing.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
Yeah, without a doubt. I mean, you know, humans are different,
they have different personalities. I think what we would see
you had to be authentic. If you weren't yourself consistently
day and day out, how are we going to follow you?
And I think that's the hardest part of the position.
It's who you are, your identity, and we understand and

(14:29):
get used to that and know how to work around that.
But if you're changing as the wind blows, well we
don't respect you.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
You know, if you're one.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
Way, then the other way, or you treat some people
one way and then change.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Man, we're like this dude, we're not following him.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
We we'll go to work, we'll do what we gotta
do to make sure we take care of our business.
But were not following you, not to the Promised Land.
It's not happening. And that's the hardest thing you hear
these coaches say, regardless of where they came from, whatever
treat they're off of, they had to go in be
themselves and let the players in the stand who and
what they were, and that was all they could control.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
All right, let's go into the division.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Then fourth with the record of two and eleven, the
Tennessee Titans third dropping to third. I mean this is
can consider this from a few weeks ago the Indianapolis coach.
They're eight and five, though obviously not a bad record
by any means. Second, the Texans eight and five. Also
they beat the Chiefs top of the AFC South. Ye're
Jacksonville Jankuars nine and four. This is a really competitive division.

(15:31):
J Bell, what stands out for you?

Speaker 4 (15:33):
You know, I'll be honest. I just I didn't think
Jacksonville will be here.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Who did? Who did?

Speaker 3 (15:41):
That's what stands Let's be honest, Jay Bell.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Who did?

Speaker 5 (15:43):
That's what stands out for me, And that it was
this competitive. I mean, we've been talking about these teams
all year. We usually don't do that, not recently, but
you know, when I was playing, obviously Peyton Manning was
in Indianapolis, so it was all you know, here you
go walking in there, you know, can you beat Peyton Manning?

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Can you make it happen?

Speaker 5 (16:05):
But now you're looking at it, you had three good
quarterbacks playing well, you got a rookie that's gonna be,
that's gonna be. He's all right, man. I mean this
boy in Tennessee could play. They've done well. So you
look at good quarterback play, unexpected team dominance, especially how
fast Indianapolis started, and then you look at the best
defense in the league is in your divisions, in my opinion,

(16:29):
with the Texans. So all those are surprises. But no
matter what, Jacksonville found its way to the.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Top, and let's hope it stays that way.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
James will be a battle.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Let's do the big five questions.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Jay Bell, where was the game won against the Indianapolis Coats.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
I'm gonna start with the basic, boring thing, and I
believe in it.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Man.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
That offensive line, the offensive line and the protection. I
got a roll with that Trevor had. This might have
been the best game I've ever seen him play. I
just love the way he looked and all that being
said Devin.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Lloyd, Man, this dude is the man. He is the man.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
I said all that because you know, I love I
love the way the receivers are looking.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Everybody has a role. I love this.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
You got your deep guy, you got your intermediate guy.
You know you got a physical, big target. I like
all that, But my gosh, Devin Lloyd, they're gonna have
to pay him. They're gonna have to back up the
truck man. They're gonna have to back up the truck
for this dude.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
He is balling.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
And this is why we talk about coaching and understanding
your personnel. He's playing at a high level because they
understand the skill set and they're putting in a position
to win.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Now, which jack's playing, you're giving the game bow.

Speaker 5 (17:41):
I gotta give it to Devin Man. I gotta give
it to him, Bro, he gonna get he's getting. I mean,
I always look for a defensive guy, but when your
middle backer is playing like this, first of all, you're
fast defense if your middle linebacker is fast because between
the numbers, he can clean up a mess. So that
makes everybody else faster. And they're playing fast because of him.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Talk to me a little bit about the Jack's defense
and how you think that they've been playing, especially over
the last few weeks.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
Well, I like him man Kempanelli, right, I like his structure.
What I love about them is when you're in zone coverage,
when I watch you and I see you match routes,
I see the awareness of something comes in your zone.
You're not just covering grass. It lets me know a
couple of things. You've been coached up well in the

(18:26):
concepts right, you understand what's attacking you, and you have
a great field of a game. The way you look
at the quarterback, the way you read routes, all that
that's coaching. You know, these guys can play, but that's coaching.
So I love that about him. I always watch from
a passing game perspective because that's what they do. And then,
like I said, when you have when you're causing this
many turnovers and you're having people have career years, it

(18:50):
says a lot man And you know new Hire you
didn't know. But they're just they're just their awareness and
they've gotten better as the season progress, which means that
their coaches are really good chopping up tape.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
And what was the key moment on the turning point
we may have missed in the coach game.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
Well, like I said earlier about the offensive line, you know,
not giving up any sacks man when when you think
about Trevor you want him to play well, And the
key moment is the protection man over and over again.
The key moment is there wasn't key moments. He didn't
get you know what I'm saying. He didn't get blown
up in the pocket.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
You know. So for me, when you give up zero sacks,
I gotta give it to the old line.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
What needs to improve?

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Man?

Speaker 5 (19:34):
I say all this, but man, I know the weather
was a little tricky, but we can't drop anymore.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Like let's let's keep I'm gonna keep knocking on the door. Man.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
But if we can we can do that, that'll be
I mean, we'll keep climbing if that happens. And make
sure I'm telling you you have you're having success.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
It's an emotional game.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Stay focused, no let downs, man, I mean down and
down out.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
You gotta stay locked in.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
And how do the Jags beat the Jets this weekend
and get to ten and full?

Speaker 5 (20:11):
First of all, you know, I hate using that word
trap game. I don't believe in it, but man, do
not go, do not sleep, Do not sleep. And what
I think if you can win in the trenches, right
if that d line Josh Allen Hines taken over the
offensive line, if they can dominate, you can win, man

(20:32):
traves YTM man I'm loving the way he's playing and
carrying the rock man, control the trenches.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
You can make it happen.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Ten and full j bell sounds nice, don't it sounds nice?
I mean I've got ahead of myself, but it sounds nice.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Guarantee a winning record.

Speaker 5 (20:46):
I mean, you know, this was an interesting year, the
way they built this whole program, Tony Boselli in his role,
and how they kind of looked at this program as
a whole. Right, it's working, you know, it's it's the
way they set this thing up. Man, this is a
physical team. They have an identity. They're starting to believe

(21:07):
in themselves, or they do believe in themselves. I mean,
the future is looking bright for the Jacksonville Jaguars both
show and look.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
I know that I'm getting ahead of myself. I know
that I'm getting ahead of myself. But Jack's third seed
right now. Now, obviously that might change, but let's just
pretend it's not. That means that they would play as
it stands. The I'm just double checking to make sure
I get this right. The Buffalo bills.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
In Buffalo, no in Jacksonville that I want to just
let's just quickly.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
I don't know if I'm getting head myself ahead of
myself a little bit. But it looks if they stayed
the same third or fourth seed, let's say, then it'd
be charges. It would be one of these three likely
charges bills or Texans opinions.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
I know I'm getting ahead of myself. I know I'm
getting ahead of myself.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
You're asking me who I want to play over?

Speaker 1 (22:07):
I'm asking, I'm asking. I guess I'm just asking you,
like you know, this is i'd rather play. It's quite
I think it's quite difficult. I mean, it's always gonna
difficult in the planets, but sometimes you get that that
first round game in the world cold round that you think, okay,
but these three, those those three they're know easy, are they?

Speaker 5 (22:25):
So it's hard to win a game in the playoffs.
But anybody can beat anybody on any given day.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
That is for sure. That can happen. But to continue
to do.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
That, you got to get better, better and better, and
whatever your flaws are, flaws are will come out. All
those games are tough and difficult, but you never if
you can get off you can turn the ball over
and you can run the ball and be physical on offense,
you can beat anybody.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
You really can.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
It's a possession game, but you are getting ahead of yourself,
ahead of us.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Say, I spent ten minutes talking.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
About I'm trying to plumber Jenery.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Fair enough, that's fair Jason, to go back on one
thing that you said about Tony Bisselli and then on
getting better and better at the start of the season.
That's what James Gladston and Tony Biselli said. They said
that their only goal, a successful season to them, looks
like getting better and better each week. And when you
look at week one compared to week fourteen, I would argue, Mom,

(23:30):
they've done that.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
Yes, And let's be honest, everybody's gonna look at the quarterback.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
M that. I mean, all the other stuff is cool.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
I mean, we dive into this all day, but what
does your average fan who's there buying a jersey having
a good time.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
How is our quarterback playing? And that's what you've seen.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
You've seen the growth in the quarterback being familiar with
the system, with the play caller, understanding that his coach
and his play caller has faith in him. You can
see that he's like, dude, let it rip, bro throw it,
Like don't sit here, and worry about what I'm gonna say.
Don't you worry, you feel it, you do it, because

(24:12):
I don't know, I wasn't in the locker room, but
maybe the past Rezine was different.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
This right here, it's all good.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
Go for it and you see that confidence he has
and that's what matters.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
And talking about seedings and playoffs and all of this.
It is December the best month to be an NFL
fun it's my favorite.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
It's stressful. Yeah, right, you know what it is. It's
the hope.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
Man, It's the when if your team has no hope,
you just mad, You're thinking about draft and all this
kind of stuff.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
But it's the hope. But you gotta love it.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
Man. These matchups later on in the season, these games
we're gonna see all the way to the end. I mean,
the NFL knows what they're doing, let's be honest when
they build these schedules. But my goodness, it is not disappointing.
It's gonna be a fantastic stress to the Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
I mean, I often call July and August hope season
because every single team, every single supporter can be a
you know, can can hope no matter who you support,
and The truth of it is that by December so
many of these teams, that hope is gone and you're
looking forward to the next year or the draft or whatever, or.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
You have them.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
I want to but that's what I wanted to say,
is that actually maybe I should change that and say, no,
actually December is hope season because because not because you
have less teams that can possibly be hopeful, but that hope,
That hope is sky high. That hope is sky high,
and I've fallen victim to it.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Can you tell? Can you tell? Let's move on to
the predictions.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
In the tournament.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
That's what I'm saying, and then suddenly your stomach feels
like it's full of butterflies.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
This year feels very different to December last year's.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
Way stressed out.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Okay, predictions, the Mini Trevor Lawrence Figurine up for grabs.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Jason and the Jags won thirty six nine. We all
went for a win, a close game. We all said
so a point each.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
No bonus points this time around, which I'm pleased about.
I'm pretty sure that Key got some bonus points over
the last couple of weeks, which I'm feeling a bit
funny about So.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Jason's on twelve, I'm on ten. Key is on nine.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Thankfully he's still bottom of the lot this week the Jets,
Key go on, you took a couple of weeks off,
so go on, you go first.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
You got you took it, you can go first.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Absolute blowout twenty eight to three, Pooh twenty eight three.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Can I just say, by the way, that if you're
listening to the podcast right now, j Bell's face just
just felt like he just just looked like he smelt
something funky after you said that, as if.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
As if you're like, that was I don't agree with that.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Jabo, Yeah, that was that was. I mean, you know,
you're standing on something. If you don't stand for something,
you fall off everything.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
You're out with a line today, j is a good line.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
I get you. You're standing own business on that one.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
Go into a prediction, Jabo.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Twenty four to ten.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
That's not that different. I think it's difference.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Yeah, you ain't giving them a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
No, we'll say, we'll say we'll see next Sunday.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
I mean, I mean, I don't think it's going to
be a huge scoring game, Like they're not going to
score a bunch of points. Man, you know, I see
Jacksonville maybe getting in the thirties. Maybe you know, but
you know it's gonna be tight game. They think about it.
You played it, win the game. If they can't score,
don't give them the ball back, take up the clock,

(27:54):
chew it up, get in the end zone, play keep away.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
Make it hard on him.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
And I think this is.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Going to be about turnovers, and I think that this
is going to be a positive game for the Jags
in that respect against the Jets, I would not be
surprised to see other special teams turnover. Would not be
surprised to see a really good field position for Trevor
Lawrence and Code because of a defensive turnover. I do,

(28:22):
let's breach the thirties. Let's breach the thirties. Let's go
with a nice cool thirty one fourteen?

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Why not?

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Do you know what Jay? I think? Either way, the
Greenwood Pub in Victoria is going to get very loud
on Sunday, and I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
I'm feeling Gwynn hates the Jacksonville Jaguars. Remember he's a
Houston Texans, so it's going to be He's letting them know.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
But who's playing quarterback for the Jets? Jay Bell?

Speaker 1 (28:50):
I mean, like, you know, I just feel like if
you go through two quarterbacks and they're just sort of
resorting to justin Fields because it doesn't seem like they
want to play him.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
I feel like the Jags have a good a good
chance game.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
So yeah, they're gonna hunt. For sure, They're gonna hunt.
Leadership has to step up.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Man. We do not play down to our opponent. We
go dominate.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
That's what I want you all to do this week.
Don't play down to your opponent and whatever you do
in life, dominate and then we'll talk next week.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
If you don't, I'm gonna find out.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I'm gonna find out.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Just to clarify, it's it's in Jacksonville. It's in Jacksonville.
This even better, even better, even better. J Bell will
see you on the other side of a w being
way too confident, way too confident.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
I'm gonna go and dominate.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
You Gotta tell you what, You're not gonna speak to
J Bell for a while and then you're just gonna
get a text in a couple in a few years time.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Just been like, hey, Key, I've been been checking up
on you.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Don't.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
I don't see that you'll dominate the dominance dominance.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
Hey man, we haven't set the rules. We're just saying dominate.
I know what it looks like.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
That was good.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
I like, you.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Know what key new coach for the Jags, new general manager.
They probably have something to do with the fact that
the Jags have had a decent season so far.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
But do you know what the biggest factor.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
It's not the biggest factor.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
I think the biggest factor is that, well, what's the
big difference between this year and last year?

Speaker 2 (30:20):
I think we can all say it in Unison. It's
the j Bell factor.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Bell the factor, isn't it getting involved into your talk
Jay Bell's positive team talks, his monologues, and.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Suddenly the Jags seem to be doing all right? Is
it because of j Bell?

Speaker 2 (30:40):
I think it might be. I think it might be.
I don't.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
I don't, I don't think, you know, I don't think. Yeah,
I know, Jabel has turned this team around from the
from the ground up.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Well down to j Bell. Well, do you know what
I like to think?

Speaker 1 (30:56):
As well as because obviously, as you just mentioned there,
he's got he's got the older the team talks and
stuff that he does on the podcast. I do like
to think that prior to you know, like you see
all the players with the headphones on, they' getting hyped up,
they listen to music or whatever. I like to think
that there's there's one player that's like people someone can
go up to and be like, hey, what you listen
to J Bell's team talk on deal Talk. You know,

(31:18):
just like to think I like to think that that's
the case tal Talk Team Talk. How have we never
thought of something to do with that? I feel like
that's a missle feature idea, like right there. Anyway, choose
to j Bell Jets on Sunday key six pm with
us at the Greenwood. I'm very excited about this. I'm

(31:40):
excited about this game as well. I'm hopeful that we're
going to see Jags win. I'm feeling I'm feeling positive.
I'm feeling positive.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
Do you know what? December is a lot of fun
when your team is performing the way the Jacksonville Jaguars
are performing, and I am going to make the absolute
most of it. Bigger the last four weeks where the
Jaguars is it's four wins in a row, I'm fairly sure, right, Yeah,
I think it's four weeks in a row. The Jaguars

(32:09):
are one. It is a lot of fun. I'm having
a thoroughly great time. Thank you for asking.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
It's almost as if winning is fun.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
It's yes, it's certainly better than the alternative.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
I just want to be clear as well, because obviously
there was the game at Wembley Stadium against the Rams
that the Jags lost. Since then, it's been five wins
out of six, and that that one loss was that
last second loss to the Texans. Yeah, so which should
have been a victory obviously. So five wins out of six,

(32:44):
that is some good going and hopefully thank you week, yeah,
cheers by week. Hopefully it will be another victory on Sunday.
This has been a Shooting Shark production for Jacksonvill Jaguars
UK and Ireland in partnership with Gallagher.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Till talk back next week
