It's Group Therapy Thursday time!

Dear Ted and Amy,
My husband died unexpectedly five years ago at the age of 43. It was devastating to say the least. My kids were both teenagers and luckily he had a large life insurance policy. Both of my kids are in college now – it was such a blessing to have the money to make it happen. I can’t imagine how bad things would have been without that insurance. I’m still very close with my husband’s family, but recently there has been a problem. I started dating someone about a year ago. They have been fairly understanding about me moving on. However, they get so upset that we are planning numerous vacations with “the money from my husband dying” to go on trips with my boyfriend. They say it’s disrespectful and this is the money that I should be spending on my children. They have been vocal about it to my kids as well. Now I feel like it’s starting to affect my kid’s thoughts about our trips too. Is what I’m doing wrong? How do I handle this situation?
Signed,
Trying to Move On in Minoa

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
