before we go to the phones, let just check some
news items to making news this morning. Southern California is
bracing for more rain today following days of trivial rainfalls
providing a producing rather power outages and mud slides. The
(04:02):
Nigerian government is confirmed it allowed the Trump administration to
strike Islamic terrace in the northern part of that country.
And Congress and it's just been revealed a Congress only
passed thirty eight bills. It's thirty eight bills for the
entire year. That's what's making news this morning. Before after
the top of the let's take our first call. Let's
go to Toronto. Norman's waiting for us online. One Grand Rising
and Nabarigani Norman. Welcome back to the program. Your thoughts
(04:28):
Yeah Normana, not hearing Norman. Okay, Well we get to
your work on getting Norman. Let's go to line too.
Tm oh, yeah, I can hear you, now go ahead, Yes, yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
You got me.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Oh, how was everyone doing this morning? And I wanted
to talk about Trinidad and Tobago of the uh. Uh,
there's a problem with the.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
Pamela, the Prime Minister, Pamela Facade Belasar, I think her
name is I might be mispronouncing it, but she has
is supporting the UH, you know, the the the the
the the the invasions of or the or the She's
supporting Trump, believe it or not. And the Prime Minister
(05:30):
of or the former Prime Minister of of of UH,
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph uh Gonsolved is upholled
opposing her UH. And she seems to be uh one
of the few people in the carib being supporting UH.
(05:50):
You know this this situation, and UH it's causing a
lot of problems. I live in Toronto, and UH, I
come in contact with a lot of people from you know,
from many countries in the Caribbean. And it's not only
the people from from the Caribbean oppose the US. But
(06:13):
you know, I think Trump is isolated on this issue
and most of the issues. I mean, he is uh
out of pocket on on especially on this the whole
question of bombing. He's actually bombed UH Nigeria on Christmas
(06:37):
Day and that's Uh, you can't get any wilder than that.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Well, no matter if you can hear me. Let me
ask you this question though, because back to what's going
on with Trinidad and what's going on with the United
States with with she seems to be the only one
in that region. Uh, there's this underlying issue in Trinidad
and Guyana. And you have a doctor Ronoka Rashidi used
to be here and it would explain what's going on there.
(07:04):
It's because the country, the population is made up of Indians,
if you will, from East India and Africans, African Trinity,
Trinidadians and the African Guyanese and they all they split
along political parties. And right now, as you mentioned that,
the current UH Prime minister ruling turned out, it happens
to be in it Indian. Does this have anything to
(07:26):
do with what's going on?
Speaker 6 (07:29):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Well, first of all, Uh, you know, I wanted to
talk about Walter Rodney, who is from Guyana, and Walter
or Rodney who wrote the book How Europe under Developed Africa.
He attempted to put together a group called the Working
People's Alliance where he tried attempted to unite the all
of I think there's there's the amer Indians, the Africans, UH,
(07:55):
the Africans, the uh Indians, UH, the Portuguese. I think
there are five groups in and I know in Guyana
because Walter has written about wrote about that and Trinidad
is is similar. But you know that was all. That
(08:16):
division is real, but it was basically fueled by the US,
the US ruling class because Cheddi Jagan, who was an
Indo Dianese, was a socialist. In nineteen fifty three, he
(08:37):
was elected and they overthrew him and he was out
of power for decades, and he came back and you know,
became the prime minister again. And then his wife, who
was a Euro American woman from Chicago, she was prime
minister for a little bit. But that racial a situation
(09:00):
is real, but it's stilled by the UH. It's sealed
by the West.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Gotcha right now? You mentioned I guess one of the leads,
oh former leaders, was it Saint Vincent and the Granitines.
How's the rest of the Caribbean.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
Nations is he's opposing it?
Speaker 2 (09:20):
So but what about the rest of the Caribbean islands.
Are they supporting Trinidad or are they sticking together?
Speaker 7 (09:28):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (09:29):
The Caribbean is is it's split. When I say it's split,
I think, uh, Jamaica. The governments of Jamaica's right wing.
I think they are.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
They are.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
They are right wing.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
So they are they they are.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
They're taking the same position as is uh Trinidad and Tobago.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Wow. Interesting, I guess And that that group, the economic
group carric com I guess that's that's that's going to
split the character, that economic block there if they're divided.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah. But you have
a The Caribbean left was basically it's still recovery from
the you know, the assassination of Prime Minister Maurris Bishop
and the New jeww movement in Grenada. You know, the Americans,
as your listeners know, invaded Grenada. I think it was
(10:32):
nineteen eighty three. They killed Prime Minister Marris Bishop, and
I think it was twelve twelve other comrades as well,
including his Jacqueline Kreth, who was pregnant at that particular time.
And you know, Guyana is not Guyana, but Grenada has
(10:54):
a history of.
Speaker 8 (10:57):
What's the.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
Man that that's uh led grenade as the independence Uh,
Sir Eric Gary, he was he was a he was
a he was a man that believed in astrology. When
he became when Grenada became independent, he delivered his uh
uh he delivered his speech on unidentified flying objects, believe
(11:19):
it or not. And uh Maury's Bishop used to stay
in the hospital and uh Rupert Bishop, who was Maurice
Bishop's father was actually killed by the UH. I think
they called him the tom Tom uh Tom tom uh
or I've been a uh tom tom magoose.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Something like that. Yeah, yeah, let me shay this. Let
me just tell the family this because what's going on
is because Trinidaddam Tobago is real close to Venezuela. I
mean it's just a few miles apart, and that's where
the oil is. Trinidad has discussed well how many.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
How many normans seven?
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Oh, it's just seven miles apart. Okay, wow. And we've
seen what's going on, as Norman mentioned, with Trump going
after Venezuela, and he also mentioned this morning the Trump
also attacked Nigeria. Here's the commonality between both these countries.
Both these countries recently submitted their applications to join bricks.
(12:26):
Do you see any do you read anything between that
the Norman.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
Thank you you hit the nail on the head, my
brother and both and a course of oil.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah, both countries have oil, a lot of it.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
Oh yeah, wow.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Yeah. And Guyana they're talking about Guyana having so much
oil that people can't even believe it, you know.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
Oh yeah, let me share this with you. A Guyanese
friend of mine told me that everybody in Guyana got
one thousand dollars or ten thousand dollars car Remember, because
it was on my mind that every single Guyanese national
at home and abroad got that money after they discovered
the oil. The new Prime mission or president whatever it is,
the lead of the country, after they just go to
all that oil. Can you imagine that all suddeny I
(13:14):
want to say, it's ten grand or a grand. I
was like, wow, yeah, the Chinese friends shared.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
That with me.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Yeah, that's true, it's true. Well, that's definitely that is
the truth.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
And yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
The guy and the Guyanese have a reputation of being
among the very political, like very politically astute. A group
of people like I say they had a socialist government
before Fidel Castro and Chigovarra and the Cuban Revolution. The
Guyanese came to power in nineteen fifty three and they
(13:52):
were swiftly you know, I don't know how long they
were in power, but you know they were removed because
they were so far in it, so far advanced politically.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Wow, family, just waking up about Aghani. Unity is that's
the name of the response today on the first day
of Quanti's fourteen. At the top of the hour, it's
another phone Friday, the last open phone Friday for the year.
We invite you to join us this Friday, get it
off your chest for twenty twenty five. Right now we're
speaking to Norman in Toronto against an update what's going
on in the Caribbean. But you know, saying that to Norman,
(14:28):
Nicki Minaj she's from Trinidad and she got into it's
not guess the trouble, but she got into some hot
water going to this convention with Charlie Kirk's wife. What
do you know about that?
Speaker 4 (14:44):
I think she is trying to get her green card
and she's trying to get American citizenship and she is
a very very very talented artist. Uh, but yeah, she
has some issues. I think her husband has some legal issues.
(15:06):
Her her brother has some legal issues. Its news and
they could be deported or jail, pardon me. And she's
she a lot of that. A lot of the stuff
that she's doing now is for trying to save her
her family. And uh, I think she's out, she's she's
(15:29):
she's she's on the wrong side of history because Charlie
Kirk called her everything but a child of a child
of of a of a child of job or a law.
I mean he talked about her like a like a dog.
You can go in and and google google it. And uh,
(15:53):
I think she's she's trying to preserve, save, save her
her brother, her brother and her her husband or are
having legal issues. And uh, she's trying to, like I say,
become a US citizen. That's what that's all about.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Yeah, But it goes back to what doctor and Okaashidi
share us about the uh Indo Americans, the Indians in
both Guyana and Trinda, and she's Indian, you know, and
they're more conservative and the ruling class in both of
these countries in the Caribbean. Now, how do you see
what's going on there.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
I think it's a uh like the US. I shouldn't
say the US, but the ruling classes. The name of
the game is not to unite the many, to divide
a few, but it's to divide people. And they if
I was them, I would do the same thing they.
You know, they keep the keep the eye on on
(16:54):
on fighting among you know, keep the captains fighting each
other so you can maintain your h But I think
the like I said, the the the leadership of the
of the Indians at one point, uh, one of the
leadership for the Africans at one point was a Forbes Burnham.
(17:17):
I'm going to get into a lot of trouble when
I say this, but you know a lot of people
thought that Forbes Burnham was working for the for the
other side.
Speaker 9 (17:26):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
And he was. Was he black or was he Indian?
Speaker 4 (17:30):
Go ahead?
Speaker 5 (17:31):
I'm sorry, go ahead?
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Was he black or was he Indian?
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Burnham was, but he was looked like Westley Snipes he was.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
That's confirmation I thought, right there, just look at the clock.
We got to step aside for a few moments, and Norman,
I'll let you finish up when we get back seventeen
minutes at the top day our family. It's an open
one Friday, the final operone Friday for twenty twenty five.
Free your mind and reach out to us at eight
hundred four five zero seventy eight seventy six. Can we
take a phone call next.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Now back to the Carl Nelson.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Abari Gani and Grand Rising family. This is the first
day of Quanja, also the last open phone Friday for
twenty twenty five. You got to beef got it's something
you want to share with us, something you'd probably been
holding for the last three hundred and sixty five days,
so sixty whatever days. Now's a chance to do it
because next Friday is going to be a new year.
We're gonna be if we make it, it's gonna be
twenty six. So they get it off. Col Free friends
(19:43):
are telling you can sound off the dates an open
phone Friday, just free your mind and all that means
is basically just a thing for yourself. Our telephone number
is eight hundred four or five zero seventy eight seventy
six espansial for Norman callings from Toronto, and you're giving
us a connecting the Donsters. What's going on in the
Caribbean with Ricks, we talked about nick Nicki Minaj and
(20:03):
unfortunately for me, I can't I can't recall any of
the songs. I don't know any of songs that she
does normally, So help us out being a music cologist,
maybe Joy she's on the boards, can help us out.
These young folks know her music. Is she pretty good?
That's my question, is she does? Does she have a
large following? Do you know?
Speaker 10 (20:20):
You definitely definitely have a large.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
Large, huge, huge huge, But uh.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Hold on second, normal, let's let's go. Let's go to
the Let's go to the youngest, the younger one. Joys, Yes, sir,
can you hear me? Yeah, we can hear you?
Speaker 10 (20:37):
Now, go ahead, Okay, yes, yes, sir. So she she
is definitely, she has her own radio station. She is
definitely she has a whole they're called they called you
know the how Collie B and her they have their
own like you know how Beyonce have their beehives. Nicki
Minaj definitely has a big following, just like Collie B
and Beyonce as well. She's just as big as Beyonce
(20:59):
and the in the community with especially with the young kids.
So it's just it's just like that. They will definitely
follow and and everything. You know how people keep their
word like hey, you buy my anyway, let me just
move on. But anyway, Yeah, she's very, very very popular
with the young Is.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
She popular among the young men as or just young
women or both?
Speaker 11 (21:20):
Well?
Speaker 10 (21:20):
I think it's both because you hear the young men
raping her raps as well, so yeah, it's kind of
like both ways.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Wow, thanks Jonny.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
She came in, you know, usually kind of a pairing
herself with with the biggest male rappers.
Speaker 10 (21:42):
Because she did a lot of features with a lot
of rappers. The Lil Wayne is definitely one of them
because he brought her onto the label. Drake is definitely
one because she has a lot of features with them
because all of them are on one label, and then
she signed the deal with the title which is Nation,
so all of them have like their own like Spotify
(22:04):
with rock Nation, like it's their stream music through title
which is rock Nation. Jay Z and Beyonce.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
That's interesting, you guys means you Little Waye because Little Wyne'
is also Trumpster as well, so she I guess she
just certified herself as being part of that club.
Speaker 10 (22:20):
Right, because they're just basically they call theirselfs, you know, family,
so they where one person does everybody follow? So it's
kind of like that. It's like I'm gonna jump on
the badwagon.
Speaker 12 (22:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
So, Norman, do you think this move that she's made
do you think of as John She's got a lot
of she's got a lot of fans. You think they're
gonna follow her and go into the Trump camp because
of what she's doing.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
Uh nope, no, no, no, no, I mean Trump is
a uh, I mean trump bomb in Africa and uh
talking about African people, talking about poor people like a dog.
I don't know. I'm I'm I'm I'm. I was born, conceived,
(23:11):
born and raised and and I got Southern roots. But
I don't think the people I grew up with, I
don't think. I don't think Trump is. I think Trump
is is uh losing a lot among African people.
Speaker 13 (23:33):
I hope, I'm I hope.
Speaker 10 (23:34):
I'm desperate. I feel like they're just desperate and that
you know, our community is looking at her and they're like, girl,
you just lost your you just lost your card. There's
no coming back from this.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Oh wow, I heard she shut down to several social
media accounts as well because of this. In the backlashes,
anticipated backlash year.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
From this, I've heard that, also heard that, uh, she
she she's got more followers now than she had. But
what AI you know, you don't know what, you don't
know what to believe right now. I guess you you
were telling me or everybody, there's a way to check,
but you know that it's it's a mixed mixed messages
(24:16):
of being sent. But I tend to think she's I
think she's probably losing.
Speaker 10 (24:21):
She's definitely losing. Uh, she's actually she has she has
so many threats. In mind you it's not even us,
it's the people and they're like, why you're coming on
outside now, and it's just it's just the Yeah, it's
very controversial. She's just she has a lot of coming
back to do and it's not going to be good
for her career for I think.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
A dayly dollar short.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Yes, sir, Johnny, she mentioned she's getting threats, and the
threshs on the right or the left.
Speaker 10 (24:54):
I believe they're both sides because it's like they're they're like,
why do we need this such and such person we
don't represent? That's ghetto calling her ghetto. She's trash and
all this other stuff because she went after the clerk
is his wife, so yes, yeah, Erica. So she's getting
(25:14):
she's getting threats by those people, and then she's getting
threats by you know, the society, the black people.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
US.
Speaker 10 (25:22):
We're just mad at her for just even sulling low
and going short. But she, like he said before, she's
doing this because the brother and the husband they have
criminal records. And then I didn't even know she was
from Toronto. But yes, she can't get American citizens and meanings,
she can't do certain things here in America, so she
needs that that card.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Wow, Norman, as a music guy, do you think she
can launch a comeback because you've seen, guys, you've seen
what happened when we had the blockade or the boycott
of South Africa's and some people, well known folks went
to South Africa, broke the blockade, the boycott and went
and they still survived. Their career is still, you know, thrive.
Do you think that's gonna happen for the Nicki Minaje.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
She might be able to I really hate to sound
I want to be positive, but she might be able
to survive. She might be able to survive because the
industry is on her side, you know, and they're gonna
(26:29):
put money behind her, and she might be able to survive.
Let me put it that way.
Speaker 10 (26:34):
Of course, you know they're gonna cost their new beef
and that's you know, they're gonna use Carly B. And
watch they're gonna use carly B because carly B was
against everything that he was doing before. Because I don't
want to mention his name, but she was doing everything.
They're gonna cause a beef and her and Carly are
gonna go back at it and they're going to release
(26:55):
another album and it's just going to be a revolving door.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
So what you're saying is just all about making money.
Speaker 10 (27:03):
Absolutely, haven't they.
Speaker 14 (27:07):
It's all about the money, that's what it's all about.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
That's right. Thanks Norman, Thanks for checking out from Toronto.
All right, family, gonna keep moving on. It's an open
phone Friday, fore your mind to reach out to. It's
TMS online too. He's going from Washington, d C. Grand
Rising TM. Your thoughts on this open phone Friday.
Speaker 8 (27:27):
Yes, he has Good morning, Good more man. It's always
great to hear the previous coming Terry and all I
can say is I learned a lot from the discussion,
and all I can say is, Wow, you all know
how to do it. Ladies, zolemen, Happy holidays see you.
I hope you've been enjoy it with your friends, families
(27:51):
and encouraging others to be responsible during this holiday season.
You know how to do it. Grandma's great and pausans, uncles, parents,
certain parents, teachers, sons, daughters, neighbors, saying, doctors, lawyer's scholars, activists, educators.
I love jet have the quantity to you. In short,
(28:16):
I just want to tell people that folks boats swing
or associate with those who encourage others to participate in
crime or insane behavior and engage in lawful arrest, which
is one of his You know, military and you know
(28:39):
policemen are doing all across these cities in America, all right. Also,
don't encourage people to bomb VOTs, all right and countries
around the world.
Speaker 15 (28:55):
That just ain't right.
Speaker 5 (28:57):
All right?
Speaker 8 (28:59):
Now, you know why I was steadfast and saying, and
I'm gonna say it again that Kamala Harris should be
president of the United States. As a matter of fact,
last week I talked about in a book it's called
a one O seven, one hundred and seven days, okay.
And I told you that I was going to distribute
that to several ladies in my family. And I did that,
(29:20):
and my copy will be read after I get over
these airways along with a bowl of oatmeal. The me
end is by simply saying, engage in healthy activities. Ladies
and gentlemen.
Speaker 15 (29:33):
Support individuals who ride the same bus, drive, cautiously, walk
with a clear sense of direction, and engage in the
frightful conversations. All right, what people will make sense and
short don't what uh? Participating crime, unlawful activities in American cities.
(29:53):
I do the right thing, take care of ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 16 (29:57):
Tea here here fault before you.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
I gotta have a question for you, Tim, Tim hold On,
I got a question for you at the end of
the year. So what grade would you give your mayor?
Man Bowser? What grade?
Speaker 15 (30:14):
I know her? Okay, I'm at the boas I'm a
man honest in my biasness. I remember when she was
a vager neighborhood commissioned person called great question, okay, and
she didn't get paid. They gave her a stipend. She
went around talking with people all around the community and
(30:34):
neighborhoods and things of that nature. And then all of
a sudden she would look up and she was a
mayor of Washington, said, oh, does that all right?
Speaker 16 (30:44):
Woman?
Speaker 15 (30:45):
Also, because you know, you know a lot of cities
weren't ready for women, she took the mantle and ran
with it. Now, this is how it happened. When she
was seven eight years of age, she told us at
this in DC, I want to be like you one day.
Don't want to be mad everybody laughing, and you know,
(31:07):
the things of that nature. But she kept coming to
meetings at the libraries with her mother and grandparents and
father and so forth, and learn huh, how to do
things from a finical standpoint. At ten eleven twelve went
on to college. I came back, I said, I think
(31:29):
I want to get into this winitical game here. I'm
mys lady and gentlemen, all right, why don't others who
also have got that same mindset do the same thing.
Don't hate, don't just come and latter case, hey, up
and move and you'll do the same thing. And that's
what she did. Three terms she caught what Molly and died, folks,
(31:53):
and probably ton run again and may win again. But
she said, I'm out of here. I'm not worried about
no state, no stadium. I care about people helping people.
She does that and along with others who don't run
for office in Washington, d C. Who fall into that
certain category of making the city where the greatest cities
(32:15):
in the world. I'm biased. It is the best city
in the world. I'm thinking about blasts.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
So give us the grade though you've given us a resume.
And I want to see if other folks are in
the district listening, if they agree with you, if you
if this is the end of her time, end.
Speaker 15 (32:33):
Of the year, and I'm gonna throw at you plus
A plus, A plus.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
All right? And the reason why why you give her
an a plus? We're talking about this year now what
she did previously? TM, Why are you giving her a
plus this year?
Speaker 16 (32:50):
Yes, I'm gonna give her.
Speaker 15 (32:51):
I ain't plus for her for for being brilliant recognized
the one.
Speaker 11 (32:54):
Is time to get out.
Speaker 15 (32:57):
From the play. That's how you do that. You share
with people. You give them what the baton and tell
them to run with it, and then you'll go home
and get your old men like me, or sit back
and smile when they do the right thing, not the
wrong thing, like bombing cities.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
All right.
Speaker 15 (33:21):
The National Guard over there in DC, I told you
a couple of weeks ago. They know, we all know
each other. We went to school with each other, then
we joined the Guard. Okay, all right, but we went
to high school and in elementary school and together Wassingtonians.
And but they saw people wanted to go to the
military too, So what do they do call They still
(33:44):
work in DC as teachers, fire and construction people things
they had nature right, okay, but then when it's time
for war, all right, they get called up and they
get sick all around the world. I got friends like
that that I grew up with. When we were a
five six seven, we had ideas, I'm going to be
a baller, the best basketball player was then work out
(34:05):
that way, all right.
Speaker 17 (34:07):
I just know those things, and I'm.
Speaker 15 (34:08):
Grateful now was able to do those things. Called just
wanted to share that with you. A plus A plus
A plus. But there are people who also, all right
in DC? Do they plus two?
Speaker 2 (34:21):
I just wanted to share that, and you give that
to you give that other people. I guess you're referring
to the city council. The rest of the city council.
You give them a plus as well, TM, some of
them folks.
Speaker 15 (34:34):
Yeah, and we got a couple of guys. He's the
key of them folks who ran, didn't want to run,
and they knew they couldn't do this. And then they
got some folks who actually ran and lost to her.
All right, so now they can make a comeback.
Speaker 8 (34:49):
As they say, there's time coming back.
Speaker 14 (34:52):
All right?
Speaker 15 (34:53):
Are your hat and a ring? Some people have already
done that, but we're gonna find out what and about
said I've made more us all right? Way is that
man a sight? That's booky?
Speaker 2 (35:05):
All right? And Tim, we're gonna let you go, so
we gotta check the news. But thank you, and we'll
see if anybody else in the GMP agrees with you.
All right. That's TM from Washington, d C. He just
gave Marion Bowser a AAA plus for this year. What
are your thoughts? Did you agree? It's an open form
Friday family free of mine and reach out to us
at eight hundred four or five zero seventy eight seventy
six and we'll take your phone calls.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Next fourteen fifty wol Good.
Speaker 18 (36:20):
Morning, folks. I'm Earl Kirk. Here's the latest from newswe
dot com. President Trump says the US has launched attacks
on ISIS targets in Nigeria.
Speaker 19 (36:28):
In a truth social posts, Trump said the strike's targeted
terrorists who were involved in the killing of Christians. A
president went on saying there would be many more DAN
terrorists if the killing of Christians continues. In a post
on ex US Africa Command, he said it conducted to
strike that killed multiple terrorists at the request of Nigerian officials.
I'm Marknefield.
Speaker 18 (36:45):
Rain and sleet are in today's forecast for the DC region.
Forecasters say the precip will be on and off all
day and in till late tonight, and we'll stay around
thirty five degrees all day. Drivers are being told to
watch their speeds, especially if you're traveling north and west
of DC. A DC police officer is still in critical
condition after being hit by a vehicle this week. The
(37:06):
wife of officer Terry Bennett says there's been no change
in his condition since Tuesday nights crash on I six
ninety five. Then it was helping a broken down motorist
near South Capitol Street when a passing vehicle struck him.
Fairfax County is now recycling books. A green book drop
off bin has been set up at the I sixty
six transfer station in Fairfax. That's where you can leave paperbacks,
(37:27):
hardbacks and textbooks, but they have to be clean, dry
and have ISBN codes that can be scanned for information.
Some will be resold while the others will be recycled.
DC will begin picking up live Christmas trees for recycling
on January second. The DPW says you need to strip
all decorations from the live trees before leaving them on
(37:48):
the curb for pickup. Trees will be collected until the
end of February. Residents also have the option to take
their trees to one of three collection locations. It was
another loss for the Commanders on Christmas Days. They fell
to the Visiting Cowboys thirty twenty three. Jacory Crosskey Merritt
ran for one hundred five yards and two tds and
the setback is Washington fell to four and twelve. Elsewhere
(38:10):
in the NFL, Lions over the Vikings twenty three to ten,
Broncos down the Chiefs twenty thirteen. I'm Earl Kirk. When
you're looking for news for Black America, go to newswe
dot com.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Now back to the Carl Nelson Show.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Tabarigani and Grand Rising Family. This is the first day
of Kwansa. Bargani means it's a question what's going on,
what's happening if you will, in and out of Vernaka
and your response on this the first day of Quanta
when you light that first candle is emosa, which means unity.
It's an open phone Friday, the last open phone Friday
for twenty twenty five. This is a chance to free
your mind and all that means is to think for yourself.
(39:11):
You can reach us an eight hundred four or five
zero seventy eight seventy six. Got back to the calls.
Let me just mention some of some football scores that
heard in the news moments ago. The Cowboys beat the
Commanders thirty twenty three, the Vikings of the Lions twenty
three ten, and the Broncos beat the Chiefs twenty thirteen,
and those games. Some of the people complained about watching
(39:31):
those games. The Netflix have basically dropped the ball. They
were complaining about all the production of those games that
were on Netflix. On Christmas Day. Also tomorrow night, the
Ravens are going to play the Packers, and the big
question over that game is whether Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson
is going to play, because there's some talk about him
now want to get out of Baltimore. The teams are
already bidding on him, So we'll see what happens if
(39:53):
he shows up tomorrow because they are two more games
to play for the season. For the end of the season,
they're already out of the playoffs coming up next week.
So I guests include Grill Professor James Small, also a
critical thinking expert, doctor David Horn. Also, Professor Amin Rodd
is going to be with us, and doctor James Taylor,
black politics exer join us as well. So if you
(40:14):
are in Baltimore, make sure you keep your radio locked
into ten ten WLB or if you're a DMV, run
fourteen fifty WOL. All right to go back to our phones,
Line three, Marshall reaching out to us from Baltimore, Grand Rising,
mark your thoughts on this open for on Friday, Hey.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
Grant, Roger cal Lebar dining Man. The reason I'm laughing
so much, Man, I turned I turned seventy one December
the sixteenth, call beat Up, beat down, dab nine times
and Robbie lost my house, my car, and my job.
Came a balm on Harp Road in Baltimore in my
late twenties, not that way today. Guard France, Fitch and
(40:49):
Footwork retired from BA where I went out ticking off
and on for eight years most of the Marks the
radio show here in Baltimore, fifteen years co host when
I Young right after you on Monday mornings at ten
a m. And Man, I was talking. Uh, she said
I could call her niece. She was right on it.
Speaker 4 (41:07):
Man.
Speaker 5 (41:08):
She I hope you and her talk some more because
he was right on it.
Speaker 20 (41:11):
Man.
Speaker 5 (41:12):
These women are Nicki Minaj and they in their forties. Man,
both of them multimillionaires.
Speaker 7 (41:19):
You know.
Speaker 5 (41:20):
Uh, they talented, but but but it's mostly negative stuff.
And and like Ni said, it's time for both of
them to go to down and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
And let me let me ask her then that Mark,
I'm glad you pointed that out. Okay, Johnny's what do
you think they think she should retire? This is your
this is your age group. What she's doing is that
appealing to you?
Speaker 4 (41:42):
Guys?
Speaker 5 (41:43):
It is not.
Speaker 13 (41:44):
It is not.
Speaker 10 (41:45):
It is not is the disgrace. I feel like, at
one point in time, when are you gonna say, because
you guys have they have little girls, So I'm not understanding.
Mind you, she doesn't even allow Carly B doesn't even
allow allow her kids to know what she does. They
don't even know that she's a rapper.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
So why why did they? Why are so many of
your your generation follow these these young ladies with the
music they put out.
Speaker 10 (42:13):
Correct because they think it's an opportunity. They're saying, Hey,
if I can get and look and do what she's doing,
I can make that money. I can be like that.
I can be a carly B.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Mark Mark.
Speaker 10 (42:28):
These are their icons. They don't have any uh you know,
they say, oh, well, if I have somebody to look
up to, why are we looking up to these women
that they do? They have a script they have to
keep up with. Why would I follow someone that is
not giving me a good path to go to and say, hey,
(42:48):
you could do this and be and be and be
a doctor or but you're asking me to do something
to degrade myself.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
And mark as you know, doctor Welson warned us about this.
Speaker 21 (43:02):
Didn't she I'm so you know what, I am so
glad you brought that up call. We on the same page.
I always pray before our call. I wanted to, and
I'll do it next week.
Speaker 5 (43:15):
I wanted to dedicate something to her because Nasie no excuses,
she said, were the ones that have to practice the
the the non uh uh what is it? What what
you call it? Called the the racism that.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
She talked about, uh, white supremacy, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (43:36):
White supremacy. She said, we have to uh she said,
we have to practice non uh uh you know, counter
behavior to that. We gotta stop killing each other, we
gotta stop telling drugs to each other. We gotta stop
calling our women out about out of their names.
Speaker 7 (43:54):
You know.
Speaker 10 (43:54):
Well, let's call facts facts, and I believe that is facts.
She did stay some really good facts. But at what
point do you You can't tell me anything, ma'am? You're
good lyricists. You can't tell me anything. This is what
you want us to do, but you're you're doing something else.
It's contradicting. You can't do it.
Speaker 5 (44:17):
Sol Mark called, they have people listening to you all
over the world. I want all of Cardi b and
all of uh uh Nicki Minaj's fans to go over
to Nithe's cage and follow her uh into some positivity.
I got a daughter around her age. Contrary to popular belief,
(44:38):
most of our young people and most of our millennials
are doing the right thing. A lot of them in
politics in Baltimore and Maryland. They want to be a celebrity,
so they're not doing the right things by us. So
I'm gonna unpack that all next year. I'm gonna unpack.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
His interest is because you mentioned the people around the
world listening. It was just true. The people around the
world also seen Cardi b and Nicki Minaj and see
the and I just call it straight up the filth
that they put out in as far as missions concerned.
And then they get away with that. They think that
that's how most of our young women act, that's how
(45:19):
we are. And and so when they come here, they cheat,
treat us with disdain. So how do we how are
we going to break that chain? How we're going to
break that cycle?
Speaker 5 (45:28):
So so so how we break it? Call Facebook and
all that kind of stuff. They have a lot of
positive things, you know, on end, and how we how
we break it? We gotta start pointing out to each
other that that, you know, killing each other and all
that kind of stuff is not the way to go.
(45:48):
Little Wayne to Lil Wayne. I heard him say, and
you can't make this up, Carl. He said on a
national show one time when they had this athlete show,
he say, my best friend is the ag.
Speaker 20 (46:00):
Hey.
Speaker 5 (46:01):
You know, we say my business partner is an ak
and we're doing a lot of business. You know, he
said stuff like that. So what we gotta do is,
like he said, cala uh calen the racist behavior, stop
backstabbing each other. Uh. We got black politicians, young black
politicians throwing h other black politicians under the bus and
(46:21):
all that kind of stuff. So we we gotta we gotta,
like uh Malcolm said, we gotta stop being so just
not disorganized other than being out members. And we gotta
start we out usmovement dot org. We're hearing Baltimore Muslim Brothers,
Christian Brothers. They're not letting us to buy us no
(46:44):
more Muslim brothers Christian brothers. Uh taking partner with everybody,
taking boots on the ground and all that kind of stuff.
And uh, that's how we do it. Carl. You pointed
out you had uh a man on there. Uh about
the boys school, Nathi. They're trying to close a boys
school in Baltimore. And it's not because Paul don't listen
(47:06):
to that bullcrap because they want to lock our children up.
It's because they try to close boys school. And the
number one killer, Measy of our young people in Baltimore
City is murdered by their peers. We've lost two thousand,
mostly young young men to their peers here in Baltimore
(47:27):
since twenty fifteen. They want to close a boys school.
So we want everybody to go on Collegiate Baltimore Collegiate
School for Boys dot com. We want everybody to show
up in person January eighth on North Avenue, two hundred
North Avenue to the meeting. That's the last meeting before
(47:49):
they make the decision to fourteenth whether they're gonna close
the school or down. So we showed up and we
showed out, and we're gonna continue to do that. And
it's us. Everybody looked like us that's against us right
now in Baltimore and other city. They trying to throw
our black government under the bus. I ain't having that,
So Carl, we got to get the rest. Oh, Carl,
(48:12):
let me say this before I go, I gotta set
this up. Remember I told you that the young man
that was that won the local forty four president union
of the DPW. You know, we had a DPW work
with NISI that died because he didn't have water. He
(48:33):
died didn't have water. Yeah, he got five children and
all that. Well, one of his coworkers won the presidency
and he's been speaking out. He's saying they mismanaged a
million dollars. H And let me tell you this. The
comptroller had a comprehensive plan because the guy didn't have
(48:57):
insurance to have insurance walls DPW. The mayor went against that.
But you know what the mayor did. He took a
staff up in his UH five box, you know, at
the raibus game. But it ain't gonna work, partner, because
we've taken off all I recovered in twenty twenty six.
And I love my city and Ez thanks love be blood.
Speaker 2 (49:23):
Mark, before you go, Mark, real quick, before you go.
You know, sand of the year. So give us a
grade for the for the mayor and a grade for
the governor. What what grade would you give him?
Speaker 5 (49:32):
I'll give the mayor. I'm gonna give him a C.
And I'm reading I'm gonna give him a seed because
we got millions of dollars with opiate money. I'll be
talking about that. I'm monitoring open it opiate moneys in
Baltimore leaves the nation and overdoses. So I'm giving them ce.
He got a chance to use that money, uh to
open up family community centers and stuff here in Baltimore.
(49:54):
So let's see what he do. I'm gonna give him
a sea right now and going forward. But Mayor, that's
not gonna work. Brother, trying to bring Stanto over to
your side. When he beat your boy, let's let he
beat the man's boy, right, he beat the man's.
Speaker 15 (50:09):
Guy that he back.
Speaker 5 (50:10):
So while you got stands who up in your.
Speaker 22 (50:12):
Come on, man, come on, bro, we ain't going for
that is the governor.
Speaker 15 (50:19):
The governor.
Speaker 5 (50:19):
I'm gonna get a governor A. I'm gonna get a
governor A. And the reason, you know, call reparation. We
talk about reparation. Listen to this niece.
Speaker 3 (50:31):
We talked.
Speaker 5 (50:32):
Reparations is a low hanging fruit. They throw reparations out
there whenever we got a black leader, you know, and
and if he if he say like he can't stay
us with reparations. Then you know he's a bad guy,
but he's out against reparations. He says, he's he what
he is is a leader. He say let's do something
(50:54):
right now, you know. And the Muslim brothers never talk
about reparations. They talk about people black people that have
money helped, you know, organizations and spoots on the ground
and all that kind of stuff, and him self better
than yourself and all that. Just like Francis cres Welsley did,
(51:15):
it's us no excuses. Look in the mirror. This us
no excuses, you know. And I'm gonna leave you with
this because we can vote Trump out five times, draft
thousand cowards, thirty four count convicted fellas who said today
Nicki minaj I hope Nicky is listening. He said on
(51:35):
the news today they bomb sent some bombs over Nigeria overnight.
But this this is the part. This the part right here,
Carl dies. He said, we send a lot of subsidies
to Nigeria and we're gonna have to stop if that
keeps and just keeps on. So that part, so you guys,
(51:56):
you know, y'all, y'all have a great holiday and call
I'll be talking to you next week. Bro.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
All right, thanks Mark. All right, that's Mark calling us
from Mark. He loves his city, calling us from Baltimore.
He keeps his fingers on the pulse of what's going
in Baltimore. Thank you, Mark, Thank you for sharing that
with us. Is three minutes away from the top day
I found. We got to check the trafficing weather our
different cities. It's an open phone Friday, free of mind,
and reach out to us at eight hundred four or
five zero seventy eight seventy six and we'll take your
(52:22):
phone calls. After the traffic and weather that's next.
Speaker 23 (53:15):
Travel around the DMV lighter than normal. We look good
around the Capitol Beltway Maryland and Virginia. No reported incidents
and traveling at speed as well. Heading onto two ninety
five each direction between Chevrolet and the Beltway that runs
smooth toward the eleventh Street bridge. We're good onto the freeway.
Keep in mind reversible roadways are running with two way
(53:35):
traffic today. Canal Road between Chainbridge and Foxhall Road, Rock
Creek Parkway, Sixteenth Street between Irving Street and Arkansas Avenue Northwest,
and Clara Barton Parkway again operating on a two way
traffic mode all day today, three ninety five northbound before
the fourteenth Street bridge. That's where we have a broken
down tractor trailer that blocks the left lane. Now look
(53:57):
at your forecast, cloudy, colder today, afternoon rain as possible
that could be mixed with some sleet. Today's high forty,
overnight low thirty six. Our current temperature is thirty four degrees.

You're fucking with the most submissive, right.
Speaker 2 (55:22):
With us on this first day of Kwansa Abari Ghani,
And that's the question we are asked on the first day,
well each day of Quansa, though abari Ghani means what's
the news or now vernakla, what's going on? What's happening?
I just thought of something that doctor Wilson's explained. Why
we always say what's going on? Hey man, what's happening?
What's happening? Because she said something we don't know what's
(55:42):
really going on? Those are you guys? Were Welson and
I if you can recall, just call us up and
tell us what she what she said. We were always
asking that question, what's going on? Well, that's the question
in Swahili this morning and the quansa and the first
day of Kwanza, and the response, by the way, isa,
which means unity. If there was a topic that you
think we should have discussed all year and we didn't
(56:03):
even if we did, and somehow you think we come
up a little short, hit us up. Or if there's
something going down in your corner of the world and
you think the rest of the universe would benefit from

that are going on a young black woman. So sister
NIE's with us this morning. Eight hundred four or five

your thoughts on this open.
Speaker 25 (56:39):

Speaker 4 (56:42):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 2 (56:43):
Sure?
Speaker 5 (56:45):
Okay?
Speaker 25 (56:45):
Hey, First of all, the man that I'm apologized, I
was on your show about two three months ago. I
don't call and I got emotional. Man, I ain't want
my emotions to come through on the radio, and I
hung up with some comments made that I was acting
like a kid.
Speaker 26 (57:02):
It wasn't that, bro.
Speaker 25 (57:03):
My emotions was getting the best of me. And let
me explain why to you briefly. So again, I hope
you accept my apology. We see so many of this
police brutality, of them gunning down brothers, and that's what
makes me so mad. And I just want to point
out two things. When you look at the guy that
killed the healthcare worker, the healthcare CEO. When you look
(57:24):
at the guy that killed Charlie Kirk even I'm sure
a lot of you seen the video of the white
boy in Walmart and ken Ohi about forty five minutes
an hour outside of Cleveland, down seventy seven. He pulled
a girl and tried to shoot the cop right there
in Walmart when they're resting, when they was a reciting
for shop business, but the cop being killing. And this
(57:45):
is what I'm saying. When these white dudes kill people
in cold blood and can be taken alive, can negotiate
everything else, there should be no reason to be killing
these young brothers. And I leave that there. But what
I want to talk about is several I also want
to talk about a lot of times crazy and listeners.
(58:06):
We talk about black unity, and I know that's what
everybody want, but it ain't happening, and some things have
to be figured out. I'm gonna tell you some crimes
that happened with young folks here in the city of Cleveland.
You may have saw this own national news where you
had an eight year old, eleven year old and the
twelve year old still a car. They learned how to
(58:28):
do it from YouTube. The eleven year old was driving
when they caught her and the cops pulled gooverns on him.
The young kid, eight year old, was crying. He was
he was worried about whether Santa Claus is gonna bring
you something for Christmas. I want to talk about and
I want to talk about how how these things a
black folks are traumatizing each other. There was another situation
(58:49):
where a young sister in her mid twenties to late
twenties took her daughter, dropped her daughter off her family
member's house so she can go to work. Somehow, the
five year old daughter got out out of the house.
Still don't know how that happened, and they found her
in the field. So when they found her, she was man.
(59:09):
She was in bad shape. So they charged people with
attempted murder, several counts of rape, strangulation, assault, and guess
who they charged in that crime? Crazy all, just guess
who they charged? A ten year old black girl and
a nine year old black boy. That's who they charged.
(59:31):
I tell you about a crime that just happened yesterday.
They just killed an eighteen year old brother. Man, we
didn't have so much chilling here as crazy. They just
killed an eighteen year old brother in the store. He
went in the store on Christmas Eve, right went into
the store. Man the seven say young catch came in
in all hooded and masked up, probably all under eighteen.
(59:54):
They say some of them was under eighteen. They cornered
that young brother, shoddy man thirty gun shots and more
him about eight times. Killed the man. These black folks
doing this, the black folks, And what I'm saying is
so much that now we don't even need white folks
to traumatize us, man, because we constantly traumatize at each other.
(01:00:17):
That being said, I'm gonna switch gears to harsh we
go any further.
Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Truth, tell let's talk about that, because that's important. What
you just said, that we don't need them to do
it because we're doing it to ourselves. And that's just
what the doctor Wilson preaches, and she's been telling us
that that's how the system of racism and white supremacy works.
They can sit back, they don't have to do that
because they gave one of us to attack each other,
to fight each other, put us down at some sort
of level, or compete against each other. Doctor Fox mentioned
(01:00:42):
that yesterday. So we've we've got to come beyond that.
As you mentioned, I don't even remember what you said
the last time you were here, so and even if
I did, I would not hold it against you. I'm not.
I'm not holding it against any black people. Well that's
okay that but the apologies for you. But because I
I don't have any grudges against any black person on
(01:01:02):
the planet. And so that's everybody's about.
Speaker 5 (01:01:05):
At me.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
You're wasting your emotions because it doesn't bother me, right, So.
Speaker 25 (01:01:11):
But that bothers because what's happening. And then we switched
gears and I to take you see why these things happen.
And I'm gonna come back to that briefly, but I'm
gonna talk about how our cities ran man right now.
Speaker 5 (01:01:23):
Now.
Speaker 25 (01:01:23):
First of all, I'm gonna start off with the Browns.
Y'all know the Baltimore Ravens was once the Browns. So
the Browns are leaving the city again, but they're not
leaving the entire area. They just move into a suburb
of Cleveland, right. So, they had passed the law when
Modell took the Browns to Baltimore. They called it Modell's law,
where you had to do all these things. If you
(01:01:45):
wanted to move a team from the from the city, again,
you had to pay them, You had to do all
this stuff. Anyway, make a long story short. Uh, they
got the approval. Uh, and they overturned the law in
Ohio so the Browns can move from the city of Cleveland.
Ben what they did, man, They actually the unclaimed funds
which got about six hundred million in it, don't you know.
(01:02:06):
They designated that unclaimed fund money of the people's money,
and they're gonna give it to the Cleveland brown to
build that stadium. There's some lass rooms frightening at this point.
But this is how dirt ball these people are. But
that's the state. Now I'm gonna talk about the city
and army before you move on.
Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Now, let me just add this true teller. You know
the Browns are out there in the Browns Cleveland team
is not the only one moving out of the city.
You've got Kansas City. Just say they moved leaving the
Arrowhead Stadium. They're going to cross the state, the Kansas
State of Kansas. You've got and also you have the
Chicago Bears. They're moving out of Chicago. They've been hunting
around trying to get a spot in suburban Chicago. They're
(01:02:43):
taking these teams out of the cities because these other
the suburbs where the folks who live with got the money.
You know what I'm talking about. I don't have to
go deep into that. That's what they don't want to
come into the inner cities. That's the problem. But they
ahead and finished your thought right.
Speaker 25 (01:02:56):
And that's gonna but that's gonna mess up businesses. It's
gonna mess up for the workers. It takes a lot
of money from everybody, especially poor working class black folks.
Speaker 7 (01:03:04):
Let me.
Speaker 25 (01:03:05):
But I understand why he's doing it too, because the
city is run down.
Speaker 17 (01:03:09):
Man.
Speaker 25 (01:03:09):
The city they talk about violent crime is down. Okay,
tell that young brother who just had forty shots shot
at him and ate that hitting tenable violent crime in
his family. The violent crime is down. But here's the problem.
Our city has been ran so poorly for the last
forty or fifty years. What they've had to do in
the last ten to twenty thirty years, they constantly had
(01:03:30):
to reduce the wards. So we went down from about
twenty some wards now I think we about fifteen or
sixteen wards. They had to consolid them right. So over
these years, the Cleveland public schools man population, the kids
in the populate school population has decreased by more than half.
At one point in time, we had eighty thousand some
(01:03:53):
kids in the school system. Now we only got thirty
five thousand. So now they got the closed schools and
all this kind of crap. It's because the city has
ran so poorly. The people left the city can't.
Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
Hould the thought again, they're true telling how much of
that though, is it connected to the immigration issue, because
I understand a lot of those cities la uh Miami,
in DC the schools are closing, and the declining and
enrollment in Baltimore as well. Some say it's because of
the immigration race and of the immigrants.
Speaker 25 (01:04:24):
Have taking Listen, our population been declining for years. It
ain't even got nothing to do with immigrations. As matter
of fact, we may we have some immigrants up here,
but we don't have like the immigrants like Columbus. If
you want to see, like Columbus had the second largest
Somali population. I used to kick it with the brothers
when I was down there, a contract with some brothers
(01:04:46):
and the Somalians.
Speaker 6 (01:04:47):
Man.
Speaker 25 (01:04:47):
I would go to the Somalian club with a not
a club, but like a gragling spot for the men.
Then wasn't nothing but me. They sit down handle business,
discussed business, eat. I don't even think it was no
alcohol or anything. And the young brothers will be cooking
the food. Actually, some of the somebody brothers tried to
get me to try a camel burger. I told him
I couldn't do it. Bro that should acquired taste. I
(01:05:10):
just couldn't do it. But no, immigration has nothing to
do with that. It's how bad the city is run.
It's how bad these politicians and we talking about black
folks have screwed up the city that people left. They've
left so you take tax basis, you take money, you
take jobs, you take talent, all that stuff, and you leave.
(01:05:31):
It's the people, man, it's the people that's been running
this city for years. And because they're black, we try
to protect them. They don't care, man, they don't care
at all. And this is what happened. It took you
thirty years to figure out that you was losing population.
I mean, think about this and I'm I'm gonna end
with this. Every year, how many times or even several
(01:05:56):
times a year, what do sports teams do? Got trained deadlines?
They're always looking to improve their roster. They do it
at the end of the year. They evaluate the culture,
his staff, all those things. Somehow we don't seem to
do that. These people messed up this city for the
last forty or fifty years. It's dead, man, and it's
(01:06:16):
gonna continue to die. But that's why you have so
much violent crime. Man, bro, it's so and then brothers
like me who want to help him get out there.
They want to make us criminals. I told you I've
been fighting the case for two years, mister, men the
case for nothing. They had another brother and Twine Tolder.
You can read about him. They got an organization called
New Aeric Cleveland, New Era Detroit. Man the way this
(01:06:40):
brother he beat them twice in court. They tried to
use this brother everything. When you try to do something positive,
these folks come at you. And that's the sad part.
Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
Man.
Speaker 25 (01:06:51):
So I want to have this hope and it's like
that black folks gonna come together. But I see so
much death, so much backstabbing, so much chill, black folks
walking over each other. And at some point in time,
you can't sit up here and keep blaming these white folks,
because when you got to walk through a gauntlet or
joe ball black folks, whether it's street catch, politicians or whatever,
(01:07:14):
it just ain't gonna work. Man. I mean, I'm angry. Man.
I'm not gonna sell the properties that I do have,
but you know what, I'm not gonna continue to live
in the city. I got to go. I got to
get out of here.
Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
Man.
Speaker 25 (01:07:25):
I can't we traumatize, man.
Speaker 3 (01:07:29):
I'm traumatic.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Hold that thought right there. I got a tweet for you.
One of our listeners just tweeted this. He says, hebor
A Ghani with all these about the football teams in
the tweet. By the way, he says, Habari Ghani, with
all these NFL teams leaving the cities, it opens up
enormous opportunities for forward thinking black people to scoop up
that land and build our own stadiums. He goes on
to say, sadly, politicians aren't gonna help our destiny. Your
(01:07:50):
response is too.
Speaker 25 (01:07:51):
For you or what they're doing here in Cleveland. They
saying they're gonna rebuild the waterfront, they gonna do this,
They're gonna do that. Now they reached an agreement for
the Browns to pay the city one hundred million dollars.
But that's dropping a bucket to what they got from
the taxpayers. And I'm gonna tell you, man, this stuff
(01:08:12):
was so low ball. Even the white some of the
white city council members called the black mayor a setout.
We already been knew that they would sellouse, but what
it was now they're selling the white folks of the
city at Cleveland now, and they don't like that. So
they already got DIBs. They own that land unless you
got big money. And then they got to close down
(01:08:33):
a major not a major airport, but a major airport
for the rich, and the famous Burke Lake Front Airport.
When Lebron used to come in for the games, they
had an All Star Games. You see private jets flying
right into Burke Lake Airport, which sits right on the lake,
right by the stadium. So now they got to be
able for them to develop that. They got to get
permission from the federal government to close that airport down.
(01:08:56):
It's a small airport, but it's for the rich. But
the bottom line is, I understand what everybody's saying, but
I'm just being real, man, until you see some movement
on black people. Stop traumatizing man. Man, I'm hurting this morning. Man.
I got to somehow I've have to try to reach
out to that young brother and his family. Man. I'm devastated.
Don't even know that young brother. Man, But can you
(01:09:17):
imagine the horror of the terror that young brother phil
when you got seven eight of his own folks coming
in the store, trap him in a corner around low
forty or fifty shots on him. Hit that young brother
eight times. They wanted to make sure he was dead.
These young brothers, man, these young cats. But anyway, I digress, man.
I hope everybody have a beautiful rest of your year,
(01:09:38):
of beautiful new year, man, and hopefully things get better.
Have a great one. And I appreciate you taking my call, Poys.
Speaker 8 (01:09:44):
You think you all right?
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
True telling, thank you for sharing. I hear you. I
feel your emotion coming through that. With our young people,
we've got to do better. We've got to reach our
young people. The other folks don't care. It's been straight up.
They don't care. So when we see one that's going
down the wrong direction, put your home around him and
wrap them. Say hey, man, this is this is you
should be doing. This is what you should be doing,
and show him the which way to go because because
(01:10:06):
again the other people are not going to do They
like when they hear stories like the truth tells that
what's going on in Cleveland a lot of and you
mentioned the children were driving the car that made national
news as well. They stole the car. They figured it
out on the Internet and decided, dude or one of
the games that they were playing, we have to do
better and truth to tell. Thank you for sharing this.
That was some unvarnished truth right there. Seventeen minutes after
(01:10:29):
the top day, I found I got to take a
short break. We come back, We come back. Move one
of your phone calls. You can reach us at eight
hundred four or five zero seventy eight seventy six and
we'll take your phone calls.
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Next fourteen fifty wol Now back to the Karl Nelson show.
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Thana Baragani family. That means what's going on, what's happening,
what's the news is on this first day of Kwanza
Grand Rising as well, and the response is omoja which
means unity. For a second of the call, let me
bringing a sister niece in here. Sister niece's at the
controls this morning. She's a young sister, so she has
a different perspective of what's going on. Sister niece, you
(01:12:20):
heard what the truth tell us that this is your
generation he's talking about. I just want to get your
response when you hear stuff like that.
Speaker 10 (01:12:27):
I mean, it's it's really really disheartening to hear that
our young people. I feel like we're just not being
guided in the right direction. I remember when we had
when I was growing up, we had mentors and they
would give us the game. Nowadays, it's just like they
have to figure it out theirselves. They don't care about anything.
(01:12:50):
All they want to do is be influencers. That really
it's really like, uh, it's the lost generation, and how
can we get the kids to even listen? And and
they're they're just in their own they're in their own way.
Sometimes I feel like, but.
Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
Here's the point too that he mentioned. The responsibility is out.
He says, at some point we have to take self responsibility.
We just can't blame the man. Blame the man, the man,
this man's this cross. Do you agree with that?
Speaker 10 (01:13:19):
I definitely agree. I think we make so many excuses, Uh,
and we have so many people we can blame, but
we can't. We don't blame ourselves. It's just like, okay,
where do we where do we start? And it has
in the neighborhood is we have to start building back
out neighborhoods. We don't even go outside and clean out
the side of it with the front yards. It's just
(01:13:42):
it's just like we don't we don't appreciate any life
that meaning each other.
Speaker 7 (01:13:48):
We don't.
Speaker 10 (01:13:49):
There's no compassion anymore. We just it's just really sad
times nowadays.
Speaker 2 (01:13:56):
Yeah, we gotta do better. Family. I just like to
get this young female perspective. What's going on in the world.
She's at the controls of some one of your name
is Jones's calling NISI twenty three minutes after top of
Leo's checking in from Baltimore City's online too Grand Rising, Leo.
Your thoughts is on this open phone, Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
Nelson, How you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
I'm still learning?
Speaker 19 (01:14:16):
Leo?
Speaker 3 (01:14:17):
All right, Well, all I can say is habarmakani.
Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Omoja.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
All right, Well, I want to make an announcement, make
a comment. The there's a Quansa celebration tonight. It's the
eighteenth annual Quans of Celebration hosted by Roots of Scouting Incorporated.
(01:14:46):
I am the president and founder. We're in our forty
fifth year of service to African people. We could consider
ourselves to be a Pan African organization. Roots of Scouting
Tonight in partnership with the sankofa Emma and the Baltimore
(01:15:07):
Writes a Passage Initiatives. This quanza will be held at
nine hundred each thirty third Street in Baltimore City, Maryland,
ziptoe two one two one eight. It starts at six
point thirty six thirty pm to nine six thirty to
(01:15:27):
nine thirty pm. Come one, come on. We request you
get free tickets from event right, but if you have questions.
Speaker 15 (01:15:37):
We ask you to call our.
Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
Our coordinator for this event, Brother ol Amina Stephenson. Brother
ol Amina Stephenson's number is as follows four four three
five two seven five five two seven. I'll read that again,
four four five to seven, five five two seven. He's
(01:16:05):
one of our board members. I am blessed to have
been involved as a volunteer and civil rights leader and
activists for sixty five years, having started at Morgan State College.
He was a college then in Baltimore City, Maryland and
(01:16:26):
going on to Eastern Shore, Maryland and Virginia, Chicago, Illinois,
et cetera. So I'm mightily blessed.
Speaker 5 (01:16:36):
I just want to say that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
There's no easy dynamic with respect to fighting for justice,
except that we have to continue to be consistent in
our efforts to liberate ourselves, understanding that the family, the community,
and culture are the primary underpinnings of what Kwanza and
(01:17:04):
what the Mnguzo Saba represent. Baltimore is no different than
many other cities. It's unique, but it's no different insofar
as too many of us are still allowing ourselves to
serve as puppets for the white, racist, billionaire class political establishment.
(01:17:30):
And that is why we're having trouble with getting support
for the Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys from some many
folks in positions of power have allowed.
Speaker 5 (01:17:46):
Themselves to be manipulated. When we look at.
Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
The bombing that occurred in Nigeria, was it last night?
Bombing was the result of an extreme Christian, white nationalist agenda.
And if we don't premier ourselves as do our football players,
(01:18:15):
you know we love football and football players are willing
to die on the football field for a million dollars.
I understand that, but if we don't have the tenacity
and the pushback, the aggressiveness to save ourselves, we will
(01:18:39):
not be saved. And I'm convinced we can't overcome. I'm
going to invite you out to our meetings. We meet
on the third Monday of every month in Baltimore in
the evenings at seven pm. May I leave my phone
number with you, brother, talk sure.
Speaker 2 (01:18:55):
If you feel free and leave it with the family.
And I got a question for.
Speaker 3 (01:19:01):
Four four, three, six, five one kill five seventy eight.
My name is Leo Burrows b U double R O
U g HS, Leo Burr Junior and our president and
founder Russo Scouting Incorporated. We focus on the survival of
(01:19:22):
our people and understanding that if we should I'm gonna
say again and that I'm gonna hang out because I
know you've got other callers.
Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
But yeah, but I've got a question for you, Lee.
Before before you've run, uh, you've been on You've been
in the front line of fighting for us for so
many years decades in Baltimore. Have you seen a change
and you feel inspired because you know we just heard
from what's brother the truth telecom from Cleveland. There's no
difference in our cities. We're all one.
Speaker 5 (01:19:49):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
Black folks in Cleveland are different than black folks in Baltimore, Detroit,
or Chicago, La Miami. We're all one and we have
the same issues, the same problems. You've seen it in
provement from when you started out in the front line. Today.
Speaker 5 (01:20:06):
Well, let me just.
Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
Say, brother Carl, I'm encouraged and heartened by the fact
that for many years I was a Scout leader, a
Scout master also here and roots of Scouting represents a
fusion of civil rights and scouting when we come talk
about survival, and several of the leaders on my board
(01:20:29):
of directors were little boys when I was a Scout leader.
Now they're men with their own children and families, and
they stayed the course. They stayed in the course, and
it makes me proud.
Speaker 21 (01:20:42):
But what makes me.
Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
Blink sometimes is the reality that we some of us
drank the kool aid in the seventies and eighties and
sometimes nineties. When I say drank the kool aid, what
I'm saying is we let our guard down and we
said we were integrated, We thought and we had it
(01:21:05):
made no we don't because our enemy is coming back
on us. The enemy is never left. Or I realize
every individual white person is not a racist, but that
doesn't change the fact the institutional racism at the behest
of the billionaires is alive. And well, they own the
(01:21:29):
professional football teams that we cheer for every week, and
they as seventy five percent of the players are more black,
but they're doing the bidding on the football plantation of
the white establishment. So again I'm not blaming white people
(01:21:49):
for everything, but they still hold the cards because we're
unwilling by any means necessary, to fight and die for
our existence. And I don't want you to think for
a moment that this eighty three year old and I'm
eighty three now wants to be a martyr. I never had.
(01:22:10):
But the reality is we've got that has the same
intestinal fortitude tis texula tis texula fortitude necessary to win
the fight. And sometimes it requires us to give of
ourselves to the point that we may have to surrender
(01:22:31):
our lives, but so be it. By any means necessary.
Means education, it means music, it means culture, it means slaves, rebelling.
We are being re enslaves and slaves must continue to
rebel and be organized in pulling off those rebellions. And
(01:22:56):
what I see in front of us gives me I
feel I'm excited about the prospects that we can't overcome.
But I don't see enough of us working harder to
establish Saturday schools or or weekly after school programs that
(01:23:20):
ensure that we not only just know how to drum,
but we know how to do math, we know how
to read. We have to volunteer our time. Yes, I say,
volunteer our time and give time to our children, whether
they are our biological children or not. If we are
(01:23:42):
Pan African, our children are our community, crazy for whom
all blessings flow. Let's stay on the battlefield, my brothers
and sisters, and never lead do whatever we have to do.
Can be just that this administration in Washington is trying
(01:24:04):
to destroy us. Literally, some of us call don't understand
that this administration, the Magna folks, the make amicare great again,
devils are trying to destroy us and we must not
allow that to happen by any means necessary.
Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
Praise God, Alshay, brother Leo, thank you, thank you for
all the fights that you've been in for us. And
still doing it. So we really just want to know
that we appreciate it. If they don't tell you that
we appreciate what you do for the family in Baltimore.
Thank you to you.
Speaker 3 (01:24:40):
Give me my number.
Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
Yeah, please give you a number again for folks who
wanted to attend the concert event.

Going on and this is as a Result Of brother
burls was talking. About it but you talk about it all.
The time the systemic processes that are implemented and have

it that the avoid is even deeper and wider in

All Right doctor patterson'll let you finish.
Speaker 5 (01:33:50):
Your thoughts thank you, So. Much clazie we were talking
about these young folks and you know what the, issues
WERE and i was talking about the great device that
has been, created systemically, you know and this is one
of the things that the young people themselves need to
understand and we need to. Educate them the young ladies,
stated earlier there's, no mentors and as you very, well
(01:34:12):
know that's one of the major Programs that i'm involved
in on a, regular basis and that was always an
integral part of our communities that we always. Had mentors
we had this group back in the sixties Called The
roven leaders and they would rove around IN the dc
community and they see a young person on the block
and they would approach them and talk, with them just like,
(01:34:33):
you stated to grab, a kid grab a, young person
and begin to work. With them but this system has
been so devious and so, you know, you know systemic
in what they, were doing the plan that they implemented
to create this divide so that people. WOULD know i
(01:34:54):
talked to one of my mentors the other day and
she was Just, in OKLAHOMA and, i, said, oh wow
did you? Get it asked to go to the reservations and,
she Said, doctor patterson it was, so depressing, you know
so forth and our people in this country don't even
know that reservations still exist and that they Are poor
indigenous brothers. And sisters they call it engines on. The
(01:35:15):
reservations and she stated very very clearly that the young
people there. Were alcoholics they. Were drinking and she got
a chance to Go to tulsa and, she, said doctor
you taught US. About tusa and, SHE said i was
talking to one of the residents there and she said
she was forty five years old and she had been
(01:35:35):
living her entire life and she didn't know about what
had happened in her, own city the murder and the
complete decimation of that city in the black population there
until she was thirty five, years old growing up in
the town where this. Actually happened and this is how
good they are keeping the information away from. Young people
(01:36:00):
you got a young people who don't even Know WHO
malcolm x, is now and this is how good. They've
been so we have to avoid. That gap we have
to deal with that and begin to educate young people
about what's. GOING on i was at a meeting and
one young, person stated we got to get the old
people out the way so we can get to the.
Young people and, you know there's a bunch of old
(01:36:20):
veteran street soldiers that were. In there we all turn around,
and say, young man you're a little. Bit confused we
have to continue to do. This together so that's even
Been in planet in some of the young warriors minds
that out there that they don't even need the old
warriors to guide and. Direct them but that's why you
have generals in, The army so when the privates, come in,
et cetera they have to gain relate to the sergeants and,
(01:36:44):
the captains who of course still get their orders from,
the elders the generals in. The army so that's one
of THE issues i think that we need, to address
or the. Major issue the OTHER thing i wanted to.
Speaker 2 (01:36:57):
Doctor let's Bring a nisi family just saying he's the
young lady That doctor, patterson said niece said the controls,
this morning a, young woman young. Black woman so nis
you heard What doctor. Patterson said it's something you.
Speaker 10 (01:37:11):
AGREE with. I don't, i AGREE but i. DON'T agree
i think it's not that it's there in the way
that elderlys are in. The way it's, just hey past,
the baton because. We're here let because this is, our
generation so we get we know how to to interact,
with them we know how to. Reach them it's just
(01:37:32):
let us. Reach them, they're, like okay this this the.
Older person. He does BUT if i See sister nisi
coming down, THE street I know i can relate to
her because she understands what's. Going on SO if i
go to Sister Nis sister nisi can tell, me, oh, yeah,
yeah sister this is what you. Gotta do you gotta
go this this story or go into. This listen it's
(01:37:53):
a it's just an. EASY fix i feel like. We
don't we have so much to say about, the situation
but we don't listen to. Each other we listen at.
Speaker 1 (01:38:03):
Each other that's just.
Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
A Nacy doctor pattery says that the many of you
don't listen to the elders.
Speaker 10 (01:38:08):
Like, us, WHY well i listen to. MY elders i
believe that that is out. OF respect i feel like you're.
ABSOLUTELY right i feel like ego and pride sometimes gets
in the way because they were used to just being.
So outspoken BUT like, i said as a respecting we're
talking at each other and we're not listening to. Each
(01:38:31):
other we're all saying the, same thing but We're not
we're not doing it in the way we should be.
Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
Doing, It Gotcha doctor?
Speaker 5 (01:38:39):
Patterson, AGREE yeah i would agree wholeheartily that.
Speaker 25 (01:38:43):
We have to.
Speaker 5 (01:38:44):
Come together and that's my that's my, point that as,
he stated passing. The baton passing the baton comes from
the elders passing the batons down to the, young people
and when they pass, that baton they do let. It
GO so i agree with A. WHOLE hartley i have
mentors all over, the COUNTRY and i passed the baton.
To them they're running these projects and stuff doing free
(01:39:06):
acupuncture and various cities at the. Same time the young
people and the, old people as, she states have to
open up and have to be able to communicate with.
Each Other and i'm saying that that too is something
that's been induced by the power system so that we
don't listen to. Each, other so like, she stated we
are all saying the. Same thing and sometimes when both people,
(01:39:28):
are talking you. Can't hear so that too is a,
part of, you know the respect process that she talked
about listening to. One Another so i'm right with on that,
process yet.
Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
All right and the other thoughts in a couple of,
you know a couple of.
Speaker 5 (01:39:43):
Other THINGS called i have on the line With Me
doctor umbellami better Known AS, doctor u who runs an
organization Called G Incorporated Collective health initiative along With The
African Holdest skups ASSOCIATION The. Ads collective we're PLANNING a nia.

of maintaining and improving our health in terms of our,

Speaker 5 (01:41:58):
Doctors that four sixty. Nine.
Speaker 13 (01:42:01):
Number yeah if you want more information or have questions,
about it or if you even want to participate in,
some way yeah to zero two four six nine zero
two six four and then you can contact me at
(01:42:21):
two zero two four six nine zero two.
Speaker 5 (01:42:26):
Six four, Thank. You doc. You know the Other thing
quasi is that With these, QUANSA programs i remember when
we first started going to quans that we had. To
bring it was mandatory that we bring somebody. With us, they,
said man don't come to this new program and what,
we're doing introducing these principles so that we can better
(01:42:47):
the conditions in. Our community this Is what kwansa is
all about unless you brought somebody. With you so EVERY
time i Came to kwanda all through, the seventies we
would bring one or two people with us to, that
poke and we need to bring that same. Spirit back
the LAST thing i wanted to share with the community
and thank everybody so far who has been supporting our
(01:43:09):
near winter clothes drive for infants. And children we're asking
folks to donate. Gift cards if, they can't donate a
small snowsuit or an infant, or child some boots, and gloves.
Some hats we got a nice little supply, so far
and we're taking these products into. The hood we're taking
(01:43:32):
them into the, Housing projects we're taking them Into the
Teenage and. Children's program these are teenage mothers who have
babies and we're taking them to youth institutions where young
people are being held, or incarcerated and that they are
teenagers and they have babies. Out there so we want
to make sure that, these mothers these teenage mothers and
(01:43:55):
these teenage fathers who are currently incarcerated or held down
or involved in programs where they're trying to get their,
acts together we want to make sure that we supply
them with some snowsuits and some gloves and hats and
things for our. Young people the information number that people
(01:44:16):
can call is three four seven five nine four three zero.
Seven six that's three four seven five nine four three zero.
Seven six and, just, remember Family that kwanza was put
together not for us to just drum and dance and
sing for. Seven days that's definitely an integral part, of
(01:44:40):
it because we have to reintroduce our culture and keep our.
Culture alive but that culture is based on people being
able to practice it and live, it out, You know
so we have to make sure that we're teaching. Survival
Skills as Maulana land karna put, this together, he, said
hey there's some things that are going on in the.
Black community we have, drug abuse we have, domestic violence we,
(01:45:05):
have unemployment we have misguided and misdirected young people in.
Our community we have to come together with. Some emoja
we have to do it ourselves with a concept of
Self determination. Kuji chagaliyah we have to come together collectively
and be responsible for that work and use their approach.
(01:45:27):
Of ujima then we have to make sure that when
we do all of this that we're clear why we're.
Doing it we have to, have nia we have to
have a purpose and, with that we have to come
up with ways in which to. Do this how do
we carry? This out which is always the discussions on,
your Shows, Brother quasi so we have to Have. That
koumba we have to come up with. Some ideas we
(01:45:49):
have to come up with. Some strategies as you, talk
about we have to come up with, a code, you
know that we would use on a, consistent basis and
then we have to believe that we can, do it
because struggle is a. Hard thing people, get down they,
get depressed they get, you know kind, of, like oh
we cannot, do this we can't. Accomplish this so we
have to keep. Our faith we have to believe in.
(01:46:11):
Our culture we have to believe in, our leaders we
have to believe in, our families. Our community we have
to believe in ourselves that.
Speaker 2 (01:46:19):
We can Doctor passion amber cuts you right there because
we've got to step asud and get caught up with

Taking my Call happy quantita to you and both. The

Powerful spirit so much respect, to. That sister but also
let me, tell You, brother carl thank you So much
brouh for keeping us, in tune keeping our consciousness and
our frequency uplifted because you're putting the Emphasis on kwanza
(01:50:42):
when so many of our black media Has patronized christmas
the whole nine Yards and i'm, going here you had
elevated our consciousness and so for those that, are listening
hopefully they can catch, the frequency catch the vibration and
then uplift and hire. Their consciousness so what that, BEING
(01:51:03):
said i want to go back to, the system, your
PRODUCER if, i may without, your permission, serve, sure Okay Sins.
A niezi i've talked to some guests and hopefully we
have brother power back. On again that's THE former, Fbi
AGENT and i oppose, a question are we the only
one that exists in? This universe and so right now since,
(01:51:24):
the niece there are government hearings that are taking place
with military personnel also law enforcement throughout the country have
given testimonies, that now according To this. American society these are.
Credible people so you have military personnel and you also
have law enforcement officers in addition to citizens that are
(01:51:46):
witnessing the existence of APUs. Or UFOs so my question,
to you, my sister do you believe that we're the
only ones? That exist, and also let me add the
Audible minister Lewis ara con speaks of the. Mother shit
You Had george clinton in his song speak of the.
Mother shit then you had the, Fifth dimension earth when.
(01:52:09):
And fire they're all speaking of something. Extra, terrestrial so,
my sister did you think that we're the only ones
that exist in?
Speaker 5 (01:52:17):
This universe.
Speaker 10 (01:52:20):
Absolutely not but at the, same token where these findings
and if it's in, the sky it's in. The SKY
but i say they never looked in, the water and
how come they can't go all the? WAY down i
mean they find everything else and dig everything. Else up,
BUT yes i agree. With you we, aren't alone but.
We're here so let's deal with what we have here
(01:52:44):
instead of outside of what you know that's not, affecting
us because right now the aliens aren't, affecting us it's us.
Speaker 16 (01:52:51):
Affecting Us right my, last point thanks you for responding
much of my. Last point they are here and that's
the issue that we're dealing with it because they. Have
brainwashes they have control, over us particularly In our, black
community where we are destructive and. Self destructive so from a,
religious standpoint we call, them demons but the white man calls.
(01:53:14):
Them aliens and this is the reason why they have
not disclosed this because they are in coahout with these
so called beings To destroy, god's people which are.
Speaker 5 (01:53:24):
Black people.
Speaker 10 (01:53:26):
I'm sorry to cut. You off so you're, Basically, saying
hey they're using them to come, after us to use
us as whatever ploy that they. Want us but do we?
Know this what are we gonna do? About?
Speaker 16 (01:53:37):
It no that's why it's so important that we get
out of that mindset and understand who, you are Find,
our god and then develop, our culture not Adopting the.
American culture perfect case In, point christmas we as, black
people spend so much money on a, pagan holiday we
(01:54:00):
get Involved in. Halloween system we need to put more
emphasis and this Is what, i'm saying, be observant see
how many black people Will embrace kwanta Opposed.
Speaker 10 (01:54:10):
To, CHRISTMAS listen i already know where this is GOING
because i fought this fight for SO long. I, believe,
listen listen they are not. Gonna listen They, celebrate crumpus
and that's who.
Speaker 17 (01:54:23):
He Is.
Speaker 10 (01:54:24):
It's crumpus crumpus is. That entity crumpus is. That person,
but listen they don't even understand that what, they celebrate
they only celebrated because what. They're told they don't go
and study and do the research. For themselves and this
is why we. Are lacking this is why we wait
till the, Last, minute, LIKE oh i didn't know this was. Going,
on yeah because your nose, was busy, you, know uh
(01:54:48):
packing gifts and baking cookies and making sure some guy
has some milk from breaking into. Your house, right.
Speaker 16 (01:54:57):
Exactly this Is what i'm saying in terms of being under.
Mind control So, doctor sidiki this is a very a,
frequent guest, very powerful and he speaks about being under
mind control by. Powerful forces this is exactly what. We're
experiencing so, thank you my sister for. Your response much love.
And respect, You.
Speaker 2 (01:55:17):
Welcome thank you, all right thanks time the, top day
our sister and he's at the controls this Morning, for
kevin and you'd like to speak to you can reach her.
As well it's an Open. On fridays she's a. Young
sister that's why we have her here because it brings a.
Different perspective because you know us as as, older heads
we think differently from the, young people and usually we
don't get a chance to have a conversation. With him
(01:55:39):
we're just talking at, each other not talking with. Each
other that's why she's joined us this morning eight hundred
and four or five zero seventy eight. Seventy six carls
calling Us From, Palm. Beach florida. He's online three grand

Speaker 5 (01:55:53):

Speaker 9 (01:55:54):
And CARL if, I can i would like to go
back to that QUESTION that i have posed to you
last week and know IMMEDIATELY after i finished given, MY
concept i got to you got to call that kind
of one. Against IT but i wanted to share with
the brother into the FAMILY because i do believe that
the most important thing for us is the perspective that
we have when we say we Believe. In god and
(01:56:18):
if you established person Who, is god they'll tell you
all of, his attributes but they can't tell you who,
he is and they don't have a concept of sharing
with you who, he is and the creates a major
problem for us all because that's the REASON why i
believe all of us. Stay CONFUSED and i just wanted
to share with. That brother he didn't like the IDEA
(01:56:39):
that i said that a law appeared in the person
the Master, for muhammad and he didn't understand the mathematics
that goes. Into that and usually you only begin to
understand that is when you enter into the military of
the ranks of, the nation and you go into your
student enrollment and you start on the trail uh to
learning more and hire. You THINGS and i think many
(01:57:00):
times we talk and like what, sisters say we talk
at each other and we don't talk to. Each OTHER
and i think we talk to, each other we'll find
some clearest. S FAITH and i would like for our
family to check. It out it's Called the Minister far
con does on YouTube but electure call Who? Is god
and he Challenges, the islamic Challenges, The christian he, challenges
(01:57:23):
everything and then he gives you a concept that you
could do what, sisters said go and explore and check
it out, for yourself because it is history that it
is best used to reward. All HISTORY and i don't
think we really hold our self account BECAUSE when i come,
ON here i come on here as a Brother, in
FLORIDA and i do Believe that i'm one of the
(01:57:43):
champions for our children in. Public education AND when I
come i'm not just coming just. To talk i'm really
trying to hope and pray that we could find some
solutions to the problems that are PLAGUING. In Us and
i'm hoping that the mindset in this classroom is developing
those kind of students for the future of. Our PEOPLE
and i just hope and pray that we would stay
(01:58:04):
together and listen to each other so that we can
understand each other a little, bit better because we do.
Need accountability THAT'S what i did Here In palm beach
and we we leased the CITY that i. LIVED in
i went to the city MANAGER and i asked for
accountability Report For, african AMERICANS and i asked for it from,
our mayor our city council and. Everybody ELSE and i
(01:58:27):
think it's appropriate because the majority of a black we
only Have one europeion and look like, to me they
should be willing to give. An accountability BUT because i
know that we've been selling each other out to developers.
And stuff it's going to be kind, of DIFFICULT but
i think this is the approach that we need in
all of our cities. And municipalities you got the right
(01:58:49):
to ask for, accountability report so they could tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:58:53):
Right right let me jump in here for, A. Sacon
carl so what was the response you made? The request did? They, respond.
Speaker 5 (01:59:00):
Yes, they responded.
Speaker 9 (01:59:00):
They're accumulating it's supposed to be their facts. And EVERYTHING
but i already know what it's going to. Be CALLED
but i still say we have to ask for it
because you need, a tangent but you need uh the
receipts in. Your hands SO when i GO to i
could tell them. Something DIFFERENT like i went TO the
cra building and Here In, south florida you know the
development that's, going on and all of these buildings are.
(01:59:22):
Popping UP and i asked the, cr director which is a,
black guy, asked him did we own? One building just
one after the? Build out and we don't own one
building in. The city you just start getting owned as the.
Colored city and it's just shameful the way that our
brothers and sisters sold. US out uh and many of,
(01:59:44):
them transition but they left us in a pickle uh
hell of a way by making some of the decisions that.
They make and that's what you KNOW why i was
even telling you earlier about the mayor down Here with
Trump at uh that brother came in and Raked The
african american terror TOUR until i might put all those
big buildings and just demolished the idea of us having something.
(02:00:08):
For ourself and it's the only parcel of LAND that
i know of in the State of florida that is
On The, florida register registered as a. Historical territory but
they removed the white woman and put the, black man
and he the one that raked. The community and it's
just we're.
Speaker 12 (02:00:25):
In me to ask.
Speaker 2 (02:00:26):
You This the carls stayed with us for. A second
let me ask you this question fourteen minutes after toamvey.
Our family it's an Open, form friday free of mine
and reach out. To us at eight hundred four five
zero seventy eight, seventy six we speaking With carl is
Calls From, Palm. Beach florida That's Where donald trump is in,
my Question Since donald trump at the camp To the
florida were all these, billionaire friends has that changed. The
neighborhood does that change the landscape educationally or otherwise for
(02:00:50):
black folks in, That.
Speaker 9 (02:00:51):
Area carl, not educationally but as it relates to land.
And territory, you know if anybody know the HISTORY of i,
ninety five when they ran through our, black communities that
we always landed on the east SIDE of eh, ninety
five and they discovered that that was where the real.
Land was everything else in the middle Of the florida
most of that is marsh land where they had to
(02:01:12):
do a lot of landfills and stuff. Like that and
if you come down here in, that car it Looked Like.
New york i'm talking about it with all of the
big buildings and they're still. CONTINUOUSLY building, i know eventually
we're gonna have some problems because we were having problems with,
the water with the with the with the toilets and
all that kind, of stuff people dropping medications in the
(02:01:34):
in the water and all that kind. Of stuff and
with these new buildings that, they're building it's really funny,
get bad and it's getting bad because it seemed like
everybody coming from up north moving down south Here, in
florida and you get, more people so all our FISH
gone i mean you used to you could go walk
to the water and drop the line in catch. Some,
(02:01:54):
fish now if you catch, the fish you got to
watch what you're eating because he might be full. Of
toxins it's IT'S just i. DON'T know i just say
what everybody else. Is saying it's time for us to
turn within and show some love to ourself and spend
some resources instead of waiting on other people and making
bills and thinking That the democrats gonna do it Or.
THE republicans i think we need to do it ourselves and.
(02:02:17):
Show OURSELF and i think today is starting today. WITH emosia,
i THINK and i pray and sure that everybody would
take that to heart and really take it to heart
and really mean it and then do something simple, practice
it because it's gonna take more than just saying that
you're gonna have to practice what. You PREACH and i
think if we were, start practicing then possibly we might
(02:02:39):
be able to get some players on the field instead
of everybody staying in to stand and talking about everybody on.
The FIELD and i just just have my prayer for,
the day CARD and i thank you always man for
allowing me to break bread with you all right, Till
brother i'm not trying to be blacker. THAN him i
just want us To. Find god and it's Who says
(02:03:01):

Speaker 2 (02:03:04):

Speaker 14 (02:05:45):
Unclear quay let me extend my good courtesy and my
manners and just put it out there and give you
thanks for being, so consistent for being such, a professional and,
you know for your long long activity in this in
this in this. MEDIA business i want to thank you
(02:06:06):
for giving me the opportunity to speak to such greats
as fast As quest wilson The Great, neelie fuller The Great,
water williams and some of these people were, my favorites
and all these. Great people, you KNOW when i say
to People that i've spoke to, THESE people i don't
know if they believe me. Or not most of them
(02:06:27):
have read. Their books i've read. Their literature you've given
me that opportunity to, do That and i've learned a
lot in. That TIME and i can't believe how how
quick the time. Has GONE and i need to put
it out there because you've done a. Good job you're
attempt you're you're outstanding individual As, an african certainly in.
(02:06:48):
My eyes you say what, you mean and you mean what,
you say and. You're consistent AND what i mean, by
that no. You don't you're not out there like many,
of us and you've got too big to speak to some.
Of us, you know you keep, it consistent and it's a.
Beautiful thing it's a.
Speaker 12 (02:07:04):
Beautiful thing.
Speaker 5 (02:07:07):
OVER crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:07:09):
I just want to let me just SAY that i
appreciate what you, Just, said paul because AND what, i
DO because i can talk to, THESE folks i can
pick up the phone and have a conversation. With THEM
but i try to give you the listen in the
audience a chance to speak. To THEM and i had
a let me just share This When reverend jackson was running,
for office so we had him on. The air this
is in la and this was back in the eighties
(02:07:30):
or something. Like THAT and i was out there. Last,
year yeah. Last year this guy ran up. To me, he,
SAYS man, i think. THANK you i got a chance
to Speak To. Jesse jackson you KNOW when i actually
why does he wanted to? Be PRESIDENT and i thought.
ABOUT it, I, said wow this is this is how.
This is this is so meaning for him because this
is back in the eighties When when jesse was running,
eighty two. Eighty three and this guy he REMEMBERS that
(02:07:52):
i don't remember him or, the conversation but that stuck stuck.
With HIM and i say THAT when, i said when
we overed the phone lines and we, Have Guests tony
browner at now are you here From, doctor fox you
have a conversation with. These, guys so like You Mentioned,
Dr Welson, Neelie Fuller. Walter williams because we don't know
how long these dollars are going to, be here at
(02:08:14):
least you get. A chance i give you a chance
to ask them, a question BECAUSE sometimes i don't have all.
The questions i'm not, that smart so you may have
a QUESTION that i. Don't KNOW but i just want
to thank you for pointing, that out because that's the
essence of what this program is. All about this is
a difference between many, radio stations many radio shows like
this because the host just wants. To talk it's all.
About him it's not about me. At all i'm. The
(02:08:36):
least it's, about you, the listener and then. The guests but, Go,
ahead paul and finish your.
Speaker 14 (02:08:41):
THOUGHTS well i, WOULD say i know you don't want to,
be BASHED or i, would, say respectfully is, about you
because if it wasn't, TO you i wouldn't have been
able to do THE things. I DO and i don't
need to say to You that i've spoken to many
presenters and they haven't got what.
Speaker 5 (02:08:57):
You've got and it's. JUST real i.
Speaker 14 (02:08:59):
Can't lie.
Speaker 5 (02:09:00):
It's REAL and i.
Speaker 14 (02:09:01):
Wish more of us would adopt that type of template
because you are. That template. You know it's just to,
show humility to, show kindness to showwithstanding, you, UNDERSTAND bubaquasy
i have to be honest. With you a lot of
us have lost. Our way we don't show. Those things
sometimes we get a bit, of money and then we
(02:09:22):
think we're so special that we can't. Bow down we
can't show, those humility we can't show. Respect anymore we
wear that.
Speaker 8 (02:09:29):
Big hat and we feel we're better than.
Speaker 14 (02:09:31):
Anyone else, that's real and that's why a lot of
us have lost.
Speaker 12 (02:09:34):
Our way and that's.
Speaker 14 (02:09:35):
THE truth i have to speak, the truth. You know
i'm not going to dress it up for the sake
of it can people happy or to. GET likes i
have to, be real. But quazy, you know there's CERTAIN
things I want i just want to put it. Out there,
you know Certain matches i've, heard Of what, i've learned.
Certain things you should challenge me and cause me to
use my elytical thinking and correct. Certain things, for instance
(02:10:01):
a lot of us.
Speaker 5 (02:10:01):
Say we are.
Speaker 14 (02:10:02):
At war i'm going to say we are not. At
war and for those who say we, are war just
want them to. Tell me and whatever you, DESCRIBE yourself
i like to Call. Myself african, you, know however you
more whatever.
Speaker 7 (02:10:16):
You want to.
Speaker 14 (02:10:16):
Call yourself how many prisons have you built your adversaries or,
Your enemies and just tell me how many prisons you've
built if you are? At WAR because i know our adversaries.
At war the first thing they did when they Came
into africa they built something which you call, a castle
which is not. A castle it's a dungeon and. A,
(02:10:37):
prison okay that's the first thing. They did and they
did that to put You in and ever since that
they've been building. The prisons and who are the majority
of people they put in? Them prisons, now again For
the i'm going, to reiterate for the sake of clarity and,
good order how many prisons have? You built those who
claim we are, AT war i don't know where or
(02:10:58):
war what. We are we're, under attack, under attack and
a great deal of us have not realized nature of.
The attack we don't fully understand the nature of. The
attack and that brings me to something you. Said earlier
we're crazy about. THE problem a lot of us say we're.
(02:11:19):
Seeking solutions we've talked too much about. The problem in,
my observation many of, us talk but we don't really
know what the. Problem is and the mere fact that
you think it's a problem the beginning of. The problem
because there are, many problems, many many, many problems and
until you can articulate the problem or, the problems you
(02:11:40):
aren't find a solution because usually the solution is found
within the. Problem itself and sometimes that problem is that
person looking in.
Speaker 4 (02:11:50):
The mirror.
Speaker 3 (02:11:52):
That's the.
Speaker 14 (02:11:52):
Biggest Problem bub EQUASY and i have to say that
just listening over, the years because often when, we talk
we're pointing fingers and not looking at the fingers pointing back,
at us not realizing sometimes we are. The problems now
there's a radiow holes on your side of, the pond
an elder who are humbly and respectfully Respect to max
(02:12:15):
as an elder and the things. We are one of
the things we. Disagree with he says that we are not,
the problem and SOME and. I can't. I can't i
can't accept THAT because i see the evidence too, many
times and if the evidence is point steering in, The
face i'm not going to go. INTO denial i. See
it one of those problems of us being the problem.
(02:12:35):
Is ignorance ignorance means to ignore the facts will, for
ignorance meaning that you are choosing to. Be ignorant the
facts are there and they're steering you in. The face
yet you are choosing to. Be ignorant why because it
suits his suits, your remit it suits, your gender it
suits your, pay packet it suits the money for you off.
(02:12:57):
His cable do you choose to?
Speaker 4 (02:13:00):
Be ignorant work?
Speaker 14 (02:13:01):
For ignorance it takes me to, Another point. Barbara crazy, you,
See look i'm, you know we're going around. In circles
we're going around. In circles.
Speaker 15 (02:13:14):
The Only thing.
Speaker 14 (02:13:17):
I've come to the point in, my life the only
way we are going to move forward.
Speaker 15 (02:13:23):
Annihilate.
Speaker 14 (02:13:23):
The, SYSTEM now i know this, sounds CRAZY and i know.
Speaker 5 (02:13:26):
THEY'RE listening i have to speak.
Speaker 14 (02:13:28):
The truth all the things we are trying, to do
we've been doing for nearly six. Hundred years according to, a,
great great, Great Historian chancellor williams from your side Of,
the pond, a, great great. Great historian he wrote, A
book disruption Of The, black CIVILIZATION and i think everybody
(02:13:51):
should pick up and, Read It the obstruction Of The. Black,
civilization now, he says we've been under attack for six
for a. Thousand, Years now i'm telling you people need
to read that to overstand we were at because, to
me we're making the same mistakes over and. Over again,
(02:14:12):
you know that's, advocating yourself not, educating yourself because we've
got a lot of. Educating people people have been, to university,
got degrees. Masters degrees if you watch, them.
Speaker 5 (02:14:23):
Carefully how they.
Speaker 14 (02:14:25):
Are behaving are they behaving like our saviors coming back
to rescue us or coming back To help some of
them become our traitors are. Worst enemies it means to
themselves telling us down, the swany showing. Us out how
many of them are. Doing that, YOU know i just
have to point out some things And things i've learned
(02:14:46):
from listening to programs like this and. From yourself sometimes
we don't want to speak the Truth or i'm not
going to carry. On forever i'm just gonna just cut
it short now, and say, You know i'm grateful for.
The information i'm grateful for you giving the opportunity. To
speak i've tried to, invite OTHERS but i think a
lot of. Us fear we're in fear of learning from.
(02:15:08):
Each other we're in fear of stepping out of our.
Comfort zone so the LAST thing i want to talk
about is aditional. Religions say And what i'm going to
say most people are going. To Like but i'm just going,
to say.
Speaker 16 (02:15:18):
Because THAT'S how i feel.
Speaker 14 (02:15:19):
About it by both my Parents, ARE christians i do
not identify myself As. A christian and the REASON why
i Don't because i've. Grown up i've. Affricated myself i've
moved myself from THE education i got From my, english
Education and i've, affricated myself MEANING that I made africa
the court of. My PHILOSOPHY now i had to say
(02:15:40):
covit and go back to.
Speaker 18 (02:15:41):
The.
Speaker 14 (02:15:41):
Source okay and the source, is energy not kind in
The sky Jesus or mohammed. Is energy energy, motivates everything
and it comes from. The sun but the son of
man son in. The, sky okay you can. See it
it's not some hulks folker's. Fairy tales something you can see.
Right now your guests, said yesterday he, said religious if
(02:16:03):
you talk, about reason. It divides the purpose of religion is.
To divide that's, the purpose and that's what it does.
In practice how many wars have been created just down.
To religion how many women have been under the whole?
Fat women a second class citizen is down to the concept.
Of aids it was made a second class city because
you talked to A Snake.
Speaker 15 (02:16:24):
Barbara crazy have you ever talked to?
Speaker 14 (02:16:26):
A snake have you ever seen a talking snake in?
Speaker 15 (02:16:30):
Your life because.
Speaker 5 (02:16:31):
It, exists listen you see.
Speaker 14 (02:16:33):
This is we're Still in la, la land most. OF
us i have to be honest appearance. My family You.
Are christians in, THAT family i don't identify as of
as Such because i've, grown up. You see so the
bottom line is this right, you know and many people
in the life is we don't want to talk, about
it but it's a problem. For us it's a problem on,
the continent it's a problem all around. The world and
(02:16:55):
it was something which was imposed. On Us barba crazy imposed.
On us it turned right rob and murdered. Into us
and that's why we. Accept it that's why most of
us don't want to get out, of it because you
don't know. No Better so i'm not going to take it.
Any further i'm just going to say thank you for
giving me the opportunity, to SPEAK and i just a
quest of the ancestors to speak to the truth and
(02:17:16):
who offense made a, cat fit made you wear it.
Speaker 15 (02:17:18):
Take here thank you.
Speaker 4 (02:17:19):
Very.
Speaker 2 (02:17:20):
Much paul before, you go let me just thank you
because because, of you we've got so many Listeners, In London,
North London. SOUTH london i know You're In. EAST london
i got all folks FROM the Uk, in Manchester, mars
Side my manchester or even a Sister, from WALES and
i can't pronounce that because the city that, she's in
and they all ask, for you and they all wonder
(02:17:40):
when you when you were missing for, a while what's Happening.
To Paul? Where's paul because somehow they feel like you
were speaking. FOR them i guess it's the conscious community IN,
the uk so they embraced. YOUR thoughts i just would
like you to let you, know, that well we're.
Speaker 14 (02:17:53):
BOB crazy i thank YOU and i give the maximum
respect for you to. Acknowledge that and for the sake of,
this conversation acknowledge means to be in the act, of
knowing which. Opposes belief i'm not, about believing to be
in the light. Of eve i'm not. About that to
claim that women are responsible for all the sins, Of
mankind i'm not. About that that's the liar we were
(02:18:15):
told and that's why we've got, these problems because we've
been said nothing. But lies and by, the way these
lies are what causing these people to tell us we
have the highest rate of, heart attack we have the
highest rate, of incommortality we have the highest rate. Of
diabetes why because we are lying. To ourselves if you
keep lying, to yourself if it's in the, line machine
(02:18:38):
who will strap yourself to the line machine and?
Speaker 1 (02:18:40):
You lie?
Speaker 14 (02:18:41):
What happens the. Needle jumps why is the needle jumping
because you're out? Of sync why the. Needle jumps it's
a change in. Your frequency that's why the. Needle moves so.
The electricity you recognize that. You're, Lying okay so if
you're lying to yourself every day By, buck quasy lying,
to yourself telling you back from hope was focusing, on
service sink's going to be the? End result are you're
(02:19:04):
not going to be your buddy's not going to be?
At ease is it not going to be? Out sync
so we're going to start learn.
Speaker 5 (02:19:09):
To ourselves so thank you for.
Speaker 14 (02:19:10):
Acknowledging that it just Means that i'm doing the, ancestors
work the. Ancestors work thank you.
Speaker 3 (02:19:15):
Very much, take care, all right, Thank.
Speaker 2 (02:19:17):

i want to just add a couple. Of things one
tooth color touched to. My heart today we have to
continue you remembering what they are doing with particularly our
(02:20:05):
black males and. Killing them but we also know they
kill our black Females like brianna and THE sister i
can't call her name, right now but the one they
arrested and she ended up hanging.
Speaker 5 (02:20:21):
In jail.
Speaker 20 (02:20:23):
But we had a, Brother Here. Stephen mason i'm sending
out invites For our kawanza program and his name is
On the. Scian list and he also helped to build
the thirty, foot canara which is the largest canara that's ever.
Speaker 4 (02:20:42):
Been built.
Speaker 2 (02:20:44):
And tell the folks what the, Canara.

Warrior Elder, melina karga, Who uh i'll tell her hold.

Speaker 20 (02:30:11):
I will and somebody was Talking about, CLEVELAND earlier i
think on, YOUR program I believe mason Is. From cleveland
but he's been with Us in detroit for many, many.
Speaker 2 (02:30:21):
Years right and he's on he's on let me, see
see He's on Sheer s ExHAM With With smokey channel
with uh four tops. Least singer, Uh wow i'm gonna.
Blank here, well yeah they host With. With smoky he

(02:30:45):
yeah mason a.
Speaker 20 (02:30:46):
Good, guy, Yeah well mason is a good guy and
we love. Him HERE so i had one. OTHER item
i wanted to bring up The, steps okay, you know other,
than that, you know, tooth color he was speaking about.
The murders we have to remember that and all of
this distraction with the evil man In The. White house
(02:31:11):
we have to understand that these police are continuing to
do what, they do a lot of them and killing,
our people, You know so please everyone keep that in
mind and.
Speaker 22 (02:31:24):
We have to work.
Speaker 20 (02:31:25):
On that AND then i just had a. LITTLE bit
i wanted to applaud the young sister that, was ON
and i have a little bit of advice.
Speaker 11 (02:31:35):
For her is she?
Speaker 16 (02:31:36):
STILL?
Speaker 5 (02:31:36):
On?
Speaker 20 (02:31:37):
Nisi, OKAY, SO nisi i agree with the others and
yourself that we are maybe talking at each other while
not talking to, each other but we also have to
be very respectful and humble of how we're going to
(02:32:01):
make this. Communication happen BECAUSE what i heard you say
at one point you said that we need to pass,
the BATIME and i thought you said move out. THE
way i hope you did not.
Speaker 12 (02:32:15):
Say THAT.
Speaker 17 (02:32:17):
And i.
Speaker 20 (02:32:18):
Do understand i've been out there for over fifty years in,
the MOVEMENT and i understand that as we age and,
get older we do need to pass the batime and
let young people take lead roles and more participation in.
(02:32:38):
The organization but there was there is a group of
young people Here in detroit who did a. Tremendous Job
When george floyd, was killed but one of, his sisters
representing the group who did a, tremendous job she made
(02:32:58):
a commentary about their group had done more than any
other group to Reach doctor, king's dream and a lot
of her folks were going to the. Young people they
were being beaten up by the. Police here they were going.
To jail but what the sister didn't realize is that
(02:33:20):
that was an offensive statement to activists who has been
out here and lost, their lives were spent fifty seventy
to sixty years, in prison Like A, matulusha kua Like,
A jamil, i Mean like Mama, abul jamal like the
people who lost, their jobs who lost, their homes. Their
(02:33:41):
lives so sometimes us older people are stubborn and may
not want to move out. The way but sometimes younger
people behave as if they know more than what, we
know and that becomes. A problem so we're going to
(02:34:04):
have to respect each other and. Come together and like,
RIGHT now i FEEL that i can pass the the
time to someone passed it. To Me but i'm still
doing good work. OUT there i work With Doctor. Kakai
patterson he's one of my comrades on accupuncture here in.
THE city i Work With, brother blair who was in
(02:34:27):
the House When Brother fred hampton Of The Black panther
party was Killed. In chicago so, us elders we still
have a lot of input and we do need to.
Work together we need, to communicate. Take together, BUT please i,
don't want, you know a message coming out that we
(02:34:49):
need to, you know pass the time and.
Speaker 10 (02:34:52):
Move on, OH yeah i think the gentleman was saying
that my statement was we just have to listen to.
EACH other i feel like we aren't listening to. Each
other we're talking at. EACH other i feel like ALSO
that i WOULD never i would always give my flowers
for my olders because you guys have paved. Your way
i've watched my mom pay the WAY, with unbc, a
(02:35:15):
building a black student getting there at. Her college we
literally had to be taken by because it was back
in the DAY. Around unbc that's where WE'RE the. Kkk
WERE so, i UNDERSTAND and i stand. With you i'm
not standing. AGAINST you i think we're standing. With you
it's just some. Young people they don't know what, respect
(02:35:36):
is they don't know what. Manners is and this is
where we had the elders had to come in and.
TEACH them i want our elders to come in and
grab us, and, say here this is what you have.
To do this IS what i went through to. Get
here THAT'S what. I want i think that's what. We're
missing we can't divide. EACH other i feel like we're
dividing each other in this conversations and we're just dividing
(02:35:57):
us that are coming together or where we need. To,
be yeah it's not against young and old and who
In this, and look, come, on guys we got we
gotta figure. This out what is the problem and what
is the solution and how do we handle the solution
and get it over because we keep going back and
forth of who is, doing what let's do.
Speaker 20 (02:36:15):
It, TOGETHER well i, appreciate YOU and i will Give
brother carl he has, my number and if we can
have a conversation offline at, SOME point i would, love that,
young sister and you keep doing the work that you're
doing for, our people because you are.
Speaker 4 (02:36:32):
Our, future.
Speaker 20 (02:36:33):
Yes, ma'am okay, All Right, brother carl thank you for
allowing me, to speak.
Speaker 2 (02:36:39):
Of course and thank you for that conversation you Have With,
sister nisi because this is how we have to do
it if, a family because you know we say it all,
the time we're just talking at, each other not talking to.
Each other and that conversation you Have With sister nisi
amplifies that. We go both can benefit and both we're.
In agreement we're on the. Same page so you don't
let anybody try to divide us with age or city
(02:37:02):
or a country. You're from we're all want, you know
that's what scares them. The most so thank you for
sharing your nause.
Speaker 20 (02:37:09):
With us Since, as shashana, all right happy colms and free,

Speaker 5 (02:40:08):
Still because raining now you're still.
Speaker 2 (02:40:12):
It's still Raining In, la wow because you know, the folks,
YOU know i understand what's going on With In, Los Angeles,
southern california because it's saying never range In, southern california
and when it, does rain. It rains, it's like, you,
know YEAH but i Got the dodgers were, for example
(02:40:32):
were rained Out the dodge, been there moved there in
fifty seven or fifty six or something. Like that when
When the, dodgers moved they've been only rained out by
three or. Four times so that's that's what we're. Talking,
About rain and now they're getting inundated with all. These
showers and then you got the folks we talked To
In alta dina where where they got these mud slides
where our people live out In Al to dinna because of.
The rain and it's just relentless being. Going on so
(02:40:53):
has it affected any of the black communities Other Than, Alta,
dina johnny do, you.
Speaker 4 (02:40:57):
Know, YOU know i am not out in.
Speaker 22 (02:41:00):
THE rain i choose not to go out in it because,
it's like, you know the last time it rained a
few months and about really about a, month ago the ground.
Was saturated so everywhere, you went, you know you know
you're gonna run the, you, know uh, YOU know i hear.
The drainage the drainage out here is there's knowing. For it,
you know it's like the drains out here. Is bad
(02:41:21):
so you, run it, you know always run the puddles.
And stuff so and you so you got to be
careful where.
Speaker 2 (02:41:26):
You go and that's on top of that that folks
don't know how to drive in. The rain and that's
another issue that, you know hydro planning in. The rain
one of, the things one of the interesting things in being,
in radio we get all these these these total guys
that start advertising saying as soon as you start, to
rain because they know there's people gonna be hydroplane is
gonna be a lot of accidents on. The freeways, so
yeah that's one of the one of the. Rare currencies
(02:41:48):
and all this. Heavy RAINS when i was.
Speaker 22 (02:41:51):
In the BACK and i was, GOING back i don't.
Remember hydroplane, YOU know i don't, remember. That MAN so
i came Out, to california, you.
Speaker 2 (02:41:58):
Know because you use you're, driving skills so you need
to know. About it you could. Handle it it's just
been a in a place where it doesn't rain it quite,
a bit so there's no need to employ. Those skills but, Go. Ahead,
johnny yeah.
Speaker 22 (02:42:11):
You know because when you run around, the freeway you
can hit. Those, spots man it's like, next thing, you
know it's like, you know it's like you're almost, like flying,
you know and you you call it going faster through
the speed and it breaks, you, out man, You KNOW
and I don't i. DON'T know i don't remember the
CURRY when i was, back east, you KNOW when i was,
you know, YOU know i little. BACK east i don't
remember that even, even well let me just.
Speaker 2 (02:42:31):
Share this real quick with you and the family that
happened to be on the ten going to the station
On a saturday morning and the car. HIT up i don't.
It's skinty it went right across to the. Other side
it went right across all the lanes on, the freeway
talking about freaking. Me out if there was a lot,
OF traffic i wouldn't be. Here today so, you know
There's something i'll. Never forget but.
Speaker 22 (02:42:54):
On high, do plane you know what happened IS but
I gets i guess you can appeared like the black ice,
back there, you know when it's like black ice BACK
at uh And On east coast when it's when, it's
cold YOU can, i mean can, you know relate to
that like like it being like? Black ice You know
that's THAT'S why i would see it, like that.
Speaker 6 (02:43:13):
You, Know so, BUT no.
Speaker 22 (02:43:16):
I cheers i cheers NOT to u go out in,
the rain, you, know UH because i know the driving
out here is horrible when it's rain and so so
WHY would i put myself in?
Speaker 5 (02:43:26):
That?
Speaker 22 (02:43:26):
Situation ma you know youre's people can't, do it, you
know because it doesn't rain that. Often here so when
people are in, the rain because, they say like maybe
like all the, after rains the streets, Are OKAY but
i don't buy, that still, you know because it's, still crazy.
Speaker 12 (02:43:41):
You know, so yeah so what else?
Speaker 2 (02:43:45):
IS happening i was, Underwhether, report johnny, you know, You.
Speaker 22 (02:43:49):
Know i've been running across to think this.
Speaker 5 (02:43:52):
Thing lately some of my.
Speaker 22 (02:43:55):
Fee anonochies have you ever heard of? The anonochis you,
know before.
Speaker 5 (02:44:02):
There's there they were.
Speaker 22 (02:44:03):
Here before and it's like because LIKE when I when
i WHEN what i know? About THEM when I when i,
The stuff i'm, you know trying to, look up look
about find out about them EXACT when i think about,
the pyramids, you know you think about, the pyramids the pyramids,
of them, you know how how did they actually build?
The pyramids, you know and and the pyramids they're still
(02:44:26):
they They're not they're not corroding or anything, like that.
You KNOW and, i think, you know when people talk
about uh things being outside of, this planet, you know,
you know other beings being in this in, THIS environment
i think.
Speaker 8 (02:44:46):
That there's to make me some truth to, that man.
Speaker 22 (02:44:49):
You know but then naskis is there's something you know that, you.
Know concerns i'm looking. Into It I'm i'm i'm doing
some research on it, right now, You know So maybe
i'll come on next, you know maybe Next year i'll
be able to talk talk to you more.
Speaker 5 (02:45:04):
About It but.
Speaker 22 (02:45:08):
I'm interested.
Speaker 12 (02:45:09):
In it, you know do?
Speaker 22 (02:45:11):
They exist, YOU know i don't think that we're the
only people in, in this in this in. This atmosphere,
YOU know i mean when you think, about technology, you
know how do how do how do we know about all?
Speaker 12 (02:45:23):
This stuff, you know, you know.
Speaker 22 (02:45:26):
How how do we how did they come?
Speaker 5 (02:45:28):
In existence you KNOW what? I MEAN so i look
at that stuff.
Speaker 18 (02:45:32):
Like that but, you.
Speaker 22 (02:45:35):
KNOW but I want i wanted to say Something About nicki.
Mina's man, it's like, you know, you know IT'S LIKE
i i think she's trying to get her brother out, of,
jail okay, you know because he got. A case but,
it's like, you know and Then And CHARLIE kirk, I seen,
(02:45:57):
i've seen, you know when he talked about her. Bad man,
you know it's like you're gonna and you think that
these people are gonna. Accept you, you know, you know, it's,
like oh and then you know when she had.
Speaker 2 (02:46:10):
To say you, Say that But, but johnny you know
that her, streams skyrockety so they SAY so i guess
that she she made those overtures To the, maga movement
and they did not know, about her so they were
downloading their music to see what she's, all about because,
you know they said she lost a lot, of followers
the people who, knew her, her fans but the new
people that she's trying to ingratiate, herself with they started
(02:46:33):
downloading her music to see if what was. All ABOUT
so i think His brother norman. Mentioned this streamings made
a lot of money just over that with. Her streams
but go ahead and finish.
Speaker 22 (02:46:43):
YOUR thought I can't i CAN'T see i can't see
them excepting. Her, music man not not not not the
one of them on. THE right I can't i see
them except in, their MUSIC because, i Mean Even charlie
kirk said that she was she was a poor well off.
Speaker 5 (02:47:01):
For, women okay but you got to, understand that, you
know when they take.
Speaker 10 (02:47:07):
Because now, it's, like okay well who is? This person
let me look? Her up meaning mentioning her name just
made her more famous than than what she, is before,
you know.
Speaker 22 (02:47:20):
And then when they really find out, about her, it's like,
you know that's that's she's gonna be a rude way
thing when they find when they asked me find out, about,
her okay, you know and then where she's gonna turn in, you,
Know yeah, i'm, Sorry man I'm not i'm not accepting
people when when they when they go to the other side,
of man you can't come. Back, here yeah, you know
(02:47:44):
you know it's, like this it's not. A mistake, you
know this is what, you chose you chose. To due
It's Like Francis chris wolves, and said, it's like, you
know it's like you know that thing about silver. And
gold you know that she does his truth up with
silver and gold and And And nicki mina like she's
valuating you. A, Lot okay well let me tell me.
Speaker 2 (02:48:07):
Here for, A, second johnny Because because NIE's telling me
that the rappers are now are talking about f, the
streets the. Street movement they don't want to rap about the.
Streets anymore are we seeing a, Change, here nissi with our?
Young people is this all part?
Speaker 25 (02:48:19):
Of?
Speaker 10 (02:48:19):
It, were definitely we're definitely seeing the change. The kids
the rappers are now even bootsy because you have these
conscious rappers actually going up to these other rappers, and
saying are you tired are you Tired of you're seeing
your young, brothers dying but you're up here, Telling, them oh,
don't shoot, don't kill it's only. For entertainment they. Are
(02:48:39):
tired they are ready, to, say hey we're gonna hold
up this towel. Of rate you have Twenty one savage,
to say he actually was the one that came up with.
This concept it was a. Conscious rapper Twenty one savage
went along, with it so he, launched it launched the
movement with. The rappers and now he's getting the rappers, together,
(02:49:00):
saying hey we got. To stop this is. Too much we,
gotta yeah. Stand together.
Speaker 22 (02:49:05):
YOU know, i, HOPE so i.
Speaker 5 (02:49:07):
REALLY do.
Speaker 22 (02:49:07):
I hope. I hope i hope they find them and,
just see, you know because see that they're doing a disservice.
To themselves, it's like, you know and as we're thinking,
about it, you know living out here In, SOUTHERN california
i don't Hear about mexican gangs doing tuning each other like.
Speaker 6 (02:49:22):
That.
Speaker 22 (02:49:22):
Anymore man so it's, just, us okay. You know and when,
you know when you were living, out Here the mexican
names they, were killing killing. ONE another i don't. HEAR
that i don't hear about them doing that that much out.
Speaker 2 (02:49:34):
Here, anymore well they're probably, Woke, up johnny because that's
how the system of racism life. Supremacy works it makes
you fighting against, each other so, you know and they
sit back and laugh while we take each other out
because we're doing the job. For them oh when we
criticize it or come after one of our brothers and
sisters at, any level whether it be in, the church in,
the mosque, at school whether it be violence or just
(02:49:57):
be just tweet or, something negative then you're caught up
in the system, of racism. White supremacy so that's maybe
some Of those mexican gangs of. Waking, up well.
Speaker 22 (02:50:08):
They know They're not they have, The, hierarchy yeah hierarchy
the changes, like hey when we say enough, is enough enoughing,
is enough we don't. Have that and it's LIKE and,
I don't, I don't. I don't i don't believe we
can get it now because it's, you know don't we
don't have the, you know the soldiers, you know and,
you know uh that can control, this man like Like the.
(02:50:30):
MEXICAN mafia i mean you got you Got the. Mexican
mafia you Got THE. Italian MafA you got all these
other places where they were controlling the hierarchy in, those
groups and when we when we, had it we let.
Speaker 10 (02:50:43):
IT go i think we still. Have it it's just
that it's not being seen and it's not being told
until it. ACTUALLY happens i feel like we. Are there
it's just that we have to stop coming against each
other and have faith in. Each other we're losing a lot,
of FAITH and i feel like that is. Our problem
we're losing a lot of faith in each, other, because
(02:51:06):
oh you can't. See it but if if, you say
remember the thing is if you write your vision down
and you make. A plane so if you have, that
vision you keep saying that that is what we're going to.
Keep producing, That's.
Speaker 3 (02:51:19):
True johnny, You know i'm but, you know, young lady
you give.
Speaker 22 (02:51:24):
US promise i am so proud. Of you, it's like,
YOU know i would still a. WHOLE lot i know
that there are a lot more, of, you okay but
it's like they need to be seen in. Her NOW
and i really, appreciate, you okay, you know and thank
thanks to taking my CALL to i know you know
well feeing this left in the show and thanks shaking
(02:51:47):
my CALL and i would talk to you.
Speaker 5 (02:51:49):
Next, year man, all Right.
Speaker 2 (02:51:50):
Thanks johnny johnny Calls From long beach Out. In california
let's keep going at thirteen at the top of Air
on it's up And from Friday's Go New, york city
raised waiting. For us he's online one grand rising your
thoughts on the shop And. Phone, friday yeah, Good.
Speaker 26 (02:52:02):
Morning carl how you doing? This morning and good Morning
to his NAME, is, dc right, young, lady yes, sir, right,
yeah yeah, We, spoke YEAH like i TOLD like i,
TOLD him i. Was, waiting yeah it's good to here
for someone young person to, talk about, you know what's
going on with, young people, You know so. It's good and,
(02:52:24):
you know just looking. At things, you know we got
this new mayor, coming in, you, know socialist, martist whatever so,
YOU know, I look, I look i didn't vote for
The guy i'm just gonna be up for AND honest
i didn't vote, for him BUT but i wish. HIM
well i hope he succeeded some of the stuff he's going.
TO do, i mean it's a lot of this though
he wants, to do he can't do because he's. A
(02:52:44):
mayor he's not. A governor he doesn't run the, CITY
council i mean, the state the. State legislature but if
he works with, the people he might get some. Things
done so we'll, just see.
Speaker 2 (02:52:56):
Let me tell me ask you this way at the
city councilor they getting behind him so far they just
sort of hands off and to wait.
Speaker 26 (02:53:02):
And see well right now they're waiting. To see but,
you know like if, he looked if people around him
will sit down with him in the city council and
they'll try to.
Speaker 5 (02:53:13):
Have some sort.
Speaker 26 (02:53:13):
Of consensus but the thing is a lot of things
he wants to do it has to go through the,
state legislature and some of those things is not going
to happen because the state legislare here and the government's
already said to get about, free buses that's not going.
To happen the governor CONTROLS, the mta and you just, can't,
(02:53:36):
Say well i'm going to have. Free, buses, well okay
sure you could. Say it is it going? To, happen
no it's not going.
Speaker 6 (02:53:42):
To.
Speaker 26 (02:53:43):
Happen now as far as The Rec control board freezing
the prices on the rents, Going Up may adams he he,
you know he threw a monkey wrench in the words
he let he appointed four more people to the board before,
he left who has his ideas and, you know would raise,
(02:54:05):
the percentage.
Speaker 17 (02:54:07):
You know.
Speaker 26 (02:54:07):
Each year but the, Thing is i'm not sure if
they have. To stay If then american, you know dismissed
them and reappoint. His own so that's ONE that i
would have to look up and see what the rules
of the city counts the rick gyboard has. To be
but in, any, event look he's going to have. His
problem he's going to have to deal, with people and
(02:54:28):
different people are saying things, about him like, you know
you had You had baron who came on and he gave.
His opinion but one Thing that baron. Didn't mention anyone
who becomes Mayor Of New york city you have to
deal with at least three power groups in. This city
you have. No choice you have to deal with the real,
estate interests you have to Deal With, wall street and
(02:54:49):
you have to deal With the jewish community because they're
better organized than other communities in, the city and they're
economics is better organized and. Is focused and if they
feel or any one threatened for, any reason real or
imaginary in, many cases. It's imaginary they want to. Oppose
you so that's what you have to. Deal with but
(02:55:12):
so whether you're on the right or, the left you
have to deal with these people in.
Speaker 2 (02:55:17):
These groups but to a hold, up though, Right, there
ray we got to take a short break and when we,
come back tell us how he's doing with those three,
groups though because we know that some of The group
jewish groups. Were Offended wall street was kind of concerned
as well some of these other groups that, you mentioned
but even the unions, you got he's got to deal.
Speaker 5 (02:55:34):
With that so?
Speaker 2 (02:55:34):
How's it? You know and it's kind of early because
he hasn't even been sworn, In yet but how do
You think mandane's? Gonna do i'll let you respond to
that when we. Get back family YouTube can join us
on This Open. Phone friday free your mind and reach
out to us at eight hundred four five zero seventy
eight seventy six and we'll take your. Phone calls next.
Speaker 1 (02:56:40):
Fourteen Fifty wol blacom s now back To The Karl
nelson Show.
Speaker 2 (02:57:13):
And Grand. Rising family thanks you staying with us On
This Open, phone friday And fanc sting was all these
years on Our Open phone. Friday program this is the
final one for twenty, twenty five and this is where
we give you a chance to free. Your mind before
we left to Speaking with Ragn In New york city
talking about the incoming, INCOMING mayor i Should, mention Mondammie
and i've got a tweet from one of, Our listeners,
Rates said mondommie already has relationships with The city council And.
(02:57:35):
The assembly he was one of them at one point
also and earned an endorsement from one of The Influential
orthodox jewish community leaders in. The city, your thoughts.
Speaker 26 (02:57:46):
Let's just say it's not the. City council he was
a state, assembly person so that that's the really stre.
He has but he has worked with people in the. City,
council well the, thing is, you know he's going to
have to, you know developed relationships with them, better religion
and he is. Doing that, he is, you know putting
feelers out and he's and he's. Doing that as far
(02:58:08):
as With the, jewish community he has decided to keep
justice contition the present Police. Commenage, MISSIONER now i remember No.
Tell barry he mentioned that he felt that was a
raw move in his part and he Was a neil
this and he said whatever. He said but the thing,
is right, that's good. That's good i'm just just telling
(02:58:29):
my home attendant who's helping me get my. Breakfast together
he he, did that and that was a bone To the.
Jewish community but on the, other hand some people have
suggested just the condition is there to keep an eyeball
on him For the, jewish community which is probably. The
truth so the thing is that those are ones there
(02:58:51):
he has no choice. In making it's just like some
people are angry. At him but going DOWN to dc
and Meeting, with, trump well if you are the Mayor
Of New, york city you have to Work, with WASHINGTON.
D c regardless who, the man who the. President is
you have to have reasonable relationships with Them Because New
(02:59:13):
york city needs Help from, washington funds But also washington
Needs New. York city is a sym beyond. A relationship
you can't get away. From that so he has to. Do,
That now i'm. Not down i'm not gonna disrespect him
or condemned, with that because those are things he has,
to do JUST like i didn't disrespect Or condemned adams
(02:59:38):
for speaking. WITH him I disrespected adam because he disrespected
himself and the way he RAN to dc to get
a pardon because he didn't want to go, to JAIL which,
i understand but it's the way he. Did it and,
you know, the man he didn't have to totally, disrespect
himself and, you know and but. He did so we
don't even have to get. Into that that's over and.
(03:00:00):
Done With but i'm gonna wish the man well and
getting off of, this TOPIC if, I may i'm trying
to get me together for. Next. Year now i've listened
to a number of. YOUR guests i was gonna call
a few. Weeks ago you might have hung up on
me because you had tyrone. Powers on that, was okay
(03:00:24):
and you know who called UP who i can't stand
well for.
Speaker 2 (03:00:28):
A gun i mean. PUT in i don't hang up
ON anybody i. Don't control is the cause. RIGHT now
i don't want ANYBODY think i hang up. ON people
i DON'T because.
Speaker 26 (03:00:40):
I might have got a bit on the. Hot SIDE
so i called some friends to calm. Me DOWN.
Speaker 5 (03:00:45):
So i.
Speaker 26 (03:00:46):
DID that i calmed me DOWN so i wouldn't do
that because, YOU know i really Can't Stand. Rick Ross
and i'm not even gonna go too far. Into, That
okay so that that. WAS that i listened to some
other guests that you had that really made me go
off the. Deep en i'm listening to some of the
things they. WOULD say, I said i can't Freaking believe
i'm here this person. Say THIS so i, Just, said,
(03:01:09):
okay look people are going to, say wacky crazy things in,
my Opinion and i'm just gonna have to deal. With
it coming into, twenty six this IS what i have
to do.
Speaker 5 (03:01:19):
For me.
Speaker 26 (03:01:21):
You had a guest on hero and he has some
products to help with your blood pressure and things. Like,
that OKAY since i got six back in, Twenty one
i'm on blood pressure medicine and things. LIKE that i
want to get off. OF that i want to give
off of these different medications because, YOU know i know
they have. Side Effects so i'm going to try to.
Do THAT what i want to do is get my health.
Finally better for, Next year i'm trying to get my
(03:01:44):
spiritual house. Back together so one of The things i've
already started doing IS researching i Want to i'm Researching
traditional african Religions. In, africa now my my RELIGION that
i embrace is comedical SPECIALITY but i want to Know about.
AFRICAN religions i want to know About different. African cultures
(03:02:04):
now my culture is. A call i Am An. AFRICAN american,
I mean i know you have a problem sometimes when
people say.
Speaker 2 (03:02:10):
That CALL when I know, i don't let me just
put a pin. In, THERE no i DON'T if, I, wait,
no no not, at.
Speaker 4 (03:02:19):
All, you know not at all that you like.
Speaker 26 (03:02:23):
To, push well You're. An african i'm Not. An african,
that's you but.
Speaker 2 (03:02:27):
THAT'S you i KNOW what I am, african ISSUES but
i DON'T have i don't have anything against people Say
That african american Or the negro. Call it it doesn't matter.
Speaker 26 (03:02:36):
TO me i, Don't really BUT sometimes i get that
IMPRESSION when i. Hear, you now maybe because you got
this THING and i didn't even know ANYTHING about ads
and the other, group foundation AND so i listened to your.
Your program i've never heard about those, people BEFORE but
i Wanted, These africans like, people, say well why do
you want to? Say, you WELL when i explain To
(03:02:57):
People I'm, african, AMERICANS why, i, SAID well i have
A name American, booblic, oh yeah You're, a negro YOU got, i,
SAID yes I do i had, the PHOTOGRAPHS and i
had a photographs on my mother's side and on my.
Father's side my father's great great grandmother was a Sure
blooded cherokee And. THE asthma i had a photograph and
she was, in feathers and if you know what, that means,
(03:03:17):
in feathers she was in. Full regalia she had, the
headdresser he had the feathers on and she was. In
FEATHERS and i don't have those pictures anymore because my
mother took them away from me because she had a
deep resentment towards, my father and anything my father gave
me she would steal. From ME so i don't have those.
Pictures anymore but but the, THING is i want to
(03:03:40):
get me together for next year and do different THINGS
that i need to do, for me and as far
as i'm, you know the whole thing, WITH culture i
want to get my whole. THING together i hear so
much stuff on different black talk shows, out here it's it's.
Just OUTRAGEOUS do i think Black, PEOPLE no i think
(03:04:01):
black people are still trying to find themselves and ourselves
and get. THINGS together i think more of black people
in twenty six are going to. Do it because we
don't be forced to, do it mainly because of this
dude In The. White house now we have this, whole
thing with This Whole charlie kirk thing and try to
turn him Into A Caucasian Martin, luther king which. He's
(03:04:22):
NOT and i hope they fail, at that but they're
trying as hard as hell to do it.
Speaker 5 (03:04:29):
With other.
Speaker 26 (03:04:30):
Things happening, so me, you Know like i'm trying to
not get too deep in things that aren't in my,
best interests and that that's the that's The way. I'm, Going, now.
Speaker 2 (03:04:45):
Well good good, For, you ray and good, for you
and thank you for. Your Call and i'm just saying
this family BECAUSE clear i don't have no hate, for
ANYBODY but i just dislike people who attack, our people.
Black people whether, you're black, purple green. Or white if
you attack, black people you're not a friend. Of mine
that's that's. Straight up even if you. ARE black i
(03:05:05):

i was working At The urban League And Flint harold
jones was the, project MANAGER and i Went To general
motors with the understanding of, black unity, black militancy. Black
decation all that was PARAMOUNT because i was taught and
trained by. BLACK people i wasn't trained by white Society or.
(03:08:09):
AMERICAN education i got my education from black people who
went TO the HBCUs back in, the day and they
brought it back to. The community let me, Say, this

my years, of struggle and my family. Is successful i've
learned that it's not. About color it's about good. And
evil it's about right. And wrong if a white man
is a, good person he's. My brother if a white
man is a, bad person he's. My enemy if a
black person is a, good person he's. My brother if

to gather to remember and to celebrate who.
Speaker 5 (03:11:36):
We are and who.
Speaker 29 (03:11:37):
We are and, this year this, particular year we gather
with a different urgency and a time when our culture
has been questioned from, every direction when voices from across,
the ocean even Our own, african brethren have declared to
the world That we africans Of the americans have, no
culture that we are culturally empty and we're. Ultrually balren
(03:12:01):
but let me.
Speaker 14 (03:12:01):
Tell you something.
Speaker 1 (03:12:02):
About culture culture is not just what.
Speaker 29 (03:12:05):
Survives unchanged culture is, what transforms, what adapts what refuses
to die even when everything is. Taken, PLACE well, i, mean.
Speaker 2 (03:12:12):
Len put a cavea on Your, sister Yugima, just africans
because Not. All africans you don't Know. All africans you
may Heard one africans or two. Or three africans are,
a continent so, don't, please please, you know just say
some Or. An, african no hold on, A second hold on,
a second because you got to change your. Thought process
don't Pant all africans in the same brush because if
(03:12:33):
if one you, heard one, say it or two, Or
ten africa is a. Huge content you don't Know. All
africans so please don't say all because you go away
from this program with the. Same thought but go ahead
and finish.
Speaker 29 (03:12:44):
Your, THOUGHT okay i was trying to say that It's.
All africans it's just a thought that was out there
on the internet about we not having. Any CULTURE so
i was just let me go back to saying we
have we who have our, names stolen our, language forbidden our,
drum silence our families. Torn apart we, created jazz we created,
(03:13:05):
The blues we created a language of survival that the
whole world. Now speaks we turned pain, into poetry of pressure,
into art and somehow and possibly we. Created joy So
on december, twenty seventh the second Day of kuans that
we gather At now zion you only church Thirty Fifty
Liberty heights avenue at. One PM and i want you
(03:13:25):
to look FOR the rbg flag standing as proof that
we define ourselves and we always have and and we.
Always live and in, TWENTY seventeen i Traveled, to DONNA
and i stood at the place that they Called the
Door Of. No RETURN and i looked through, that window,
that terrible sacred window where our ancestors cast their final
gaze upon the continent that. Burns them and, STANDING there,
(03:13:47):
i wept not just for what, we lost but for
what we. Was created because they may have left through
a dwor of, no return but we met. The magnificence

of you. Are Broadcast when i've, finished it hopefully i'll

THINK and i have caught THIS since i was a,
(03:27:37):
little boy called we complain about our treatment in. This
country we don't control anything in this country or. This
culture and that's part of the problem is because we
have adopted much of white. People's culture it's. Not them,
in fact even the clothes, we wear all of those
(03:27:59):
things that are contributed, to us they're not things that we.
PRODUCE usually, i mean there are some things that we
do that, are traditional but the majority of what we
do is, an IMITATION or i should say a concluding with.
Their culture we got to. Stop that there's a part
in my book and this is just a previous where
(03:28:22):
we were able to make every conscious black Person in
america stop going. To work but just, one Week and
i'll tell you it destroyed what was Left of. AMERICAN
culture i think we have powers that we never visit
upon because of what we see, in media what we hear.
Speaker 9 (03:28:44):
In media you know what we.
Speaker 5 (03:28:46):
Read in history that was rewritten to not show our
contributions but to show. Our oppression we, you know we
can tell, every president but they don't Know any they
don't even know that the first president was a. Black
Man and i'm not even going to get. Into that
i'll tell people if they don't BELIEVE what i just to,
study it. Research it then you'll. Find Out but i'm
(03:29:09):
just saying that to say that PLACES like wl are
few and. Far BETWEEN and i just want to give
my Salute To kathy hughes for what she has produced
and her family and all of the people will Contributed
From Sonny jim kelsey going up.

a while but not, very OFTEN and i probably don't
even call less if people like to hang up. On
Me but i'm just saying that, To say i'll just,
you know people Talk. About kwanza if we could incorporate
that into our daily living and not have, the celebration
let those principles be what we, live by we could
(03:30:11):
solve this. Issue overnight but that's. The problem that's what
commercialism has done to, our mentality because that's the mentality
of the society that we. Live in everything, Is sold
everything that we do call is done for.

this radio station on, the air because, you know they
could have put anything. On there they don't have to do.
Black talk they can put a computer here and play
(03:30:47):
music and many of you probably wouldn't even know. The
difference but they decided this is what they, wanted radio
and they decided to put black information on because they
know that our our community. Needs IT but i thank

that we all should just really understand that we have
to come together and not, you know come against. Each
other don't be each. Other's, enemies now if you know
that out here doing, this work don't do help them
and do. Their work we have to come together and
realize that we Stand at we got to stand together and.
