Meanwhile, the Cowboys and Chiefs face off in a brand matchup with little playoff implication but big bragging rights. Dallas has been inconsistent, while the Chiefs are struggling to recapture their championship magic. The final game features the Ravens and Bengals, with Baltimore surging behind Lamar Jackson and Cincinnati unraveling under injuries and inconsistency. Speaker 1 (00:00):
And it seems as though Baltimore is progressing and the
Bengals are regressing. But funny enough, Joe Flacco and Lamar
Jackson have very similar stat lines.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Don't do this, don't do this.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
I don't know. I'm just saying.

Speaker 4 (00:12):
I'm just saying, happy things giving to all out there
who celebrate the things, all the food, the mashed potatoes,
the stuff in the turkey, Tomorrio, what's your favorite part
of things?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
What's your favorite favorite part of the meal? Man?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Oh, the greens, but I eat grays.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
You put green?

Speaker 3 (00:37):
No, I'm turkey. You know you can't. You can't. We
gotta let the hamhocks go. What about you?

Speaker 5 (00:43):
You know, if the turkey is fried, I'm all on
board with that, you know what I'm saying, like injected
with seasoning over hours and hours, pumped full of just
oil and grease.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
My whole family's coming up. They're all here.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
So okay, we will be doing our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow
because you will be at the game today, That is right.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
So on that note, let's get into some football.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Man. Yes, you know it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
The first game we're going to talk about is the
very first game to start doing this.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
I didn't even realize how long Detroit has.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Been doing Thanksgiving Day games, dating all the way back
to nineteen thirty four.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
That's crazy, and finally didn't good enough to watch because
for years it was miserable watching them jokers on TV,
like get these.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
What the hell?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I was about to ask you that because I know
for a fact last year we had a debate about
whether or not Detroit should still be playing on Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Do you think that they should before we get.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Into the matchup.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
If they're good enough to watch, then yes, they can
be on TV.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I'm all with it.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
I love the city of Detroit, got a lot of
cousins out there. But as long as they playing decent football,
because in the past it's been disgusting, disgusting having a
watched the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving just ruin my whole meal.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
All right, So the Lions are taking on the Green
Bay Packers. That is a one o'clock Eastern matchup, a
huge matchup in the NFC North right now, that division
is completely wide open. I don't know how Chicago is
at the top. That's crazy. Okay, lob Magic, that's neither
here nor there. Rodney, your thoughts. Initial thoughts on this matchup,

(02:15):
especially because we saw what happened Week one at Lambeles.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
Yeah, you know, Jordan Love has been It's interesting watching
Jordan Love this season, right, because he has some games
some weeks where you're like, okay, I seen Jordan Love,
and then you have some weeks where it's like, is
there anybody else that they can put out there on
the field, And so the Green Bay Packers kind of
go as far as Jordan Love, I feel like carries
them all.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Love.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
That defense is phenomenal obviously, you know, they got a
top five defense and they played really well.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
They've had some interesting losses.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
You know, I feel like it's hard to gauge how
good the Packers are because they have these losses where
historically you'd be like, what's the Panthers to see? Don't
do that because the Panthers are actually playing good football.
So you can't say that because the Panthers are on
the rise, that defense is playing great, and the Panthers
are They're a formidable team at the very least this year.

(03:06):
You can't look at years past football on those sports
where and then give me your team. A team gets better.
But I like the Lions in this game. I think, Yeah,
I think there's something about the Lions that's clicking right now.
And if I had to put it to be a
betting man, I would take the Lions by a full touchdown.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Yeah, I'm gonna take the Lions too.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I don't know, surprise.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Well, I mean, they're at home, right and I think
that they do this good thing where they they have
a chip on their shoulder, especially when they lose a
game in the way that they lost to Green Bay
Week one, Like they're still thinking about that. So they're
not gonna let Green Bay come into Ford Field and
do whatever they want to do. Like I just don't think,
especially what happened with Minnesota a couple of weeks ago,

(03:53):
I just don't think that they're going to do that.
But but the Lions defensively, they look solid. We just
saw that a couple of weeks ago against the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
But the offense is still figuring it out.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
We know that Ben Johnson is in Chicago now shout
out to Bean and they're just like Dan Campbell's now
calling the plays. So they got to they have to
figure it out on the offensive side of the ball.
And I think Once they can do that, then they'll
be a real contender. But until then, it's still kind
of up in the air.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Yeah, joy love shows against the league defenses. We saw
a couple of weeks ago with the Eagles. You know,
when I score it was ten to seven, and he
was like, I don't know, twenty for thirty six or
whatever he was, which is terrible. So yeah, I feel
like Thanksgiving Day, you know, I'm saying that good.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
And trust does Jared Goff. We talked about green Bay.
I mean, if you can make Jared Goff uncomfortable.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
He is useless for you.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
It's I'm serious, because he's not He's not the quarterbacks
that we see that can extend plays.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
He's not doing that.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
He's gonna sit in the pocket, he's gonna get hit,
He's gonna throw the ball to your feet, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
So, like, the offensive line has to do a better
job at protecting him.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
But you're going up against Michael Parsons, who who ready
to He's he ready, He's ready to.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Cut Green Bay and Detroit. Game of the day for
me by far. Now, this next game is the toilet Bowl.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
This is when you take your poop break from eating
at first Thanksgiving meal because the Chiefs and Cowboys. Man, wow,
just h you know, from a name from a brand
cachet standpoint cool, But these are two teams who have
been playing.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Been playing bad football all year long. I don't know.
The Chiefs are interesting.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
You know, while their record isn't terrible, when you watch
them play, they're clearly not the Chiefs of the past.
But I want to get your opinion on this game
before I get mon.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah, like the other two games that we've talked to
or we're gonna talk about today, this has no implications
on anything, right, I mean, it's just a bragging rights
matchup essentially. We know that Dallas has been playing this
game since the sixties. I didn't even realize that they're
one of them ones that you could question too, because
they haven't really been playing the best either. But like

(06:04):
you mentioned, the Chiefs don't look like themselves. Something seems off,
even though they have steal all of this talent. It's
like them losing in the Super Bowl just like kill
whatever confidence they have. But I will say though, that
the Chiefs still know how to win, though it's like
they just don't want to. It's the weirdest thing. They

(06:25):
can still win, they just don't want to. And they
didn't do it against the Broncos, which was very odd.
And the Cowboys have these spurts where some games they
look great. We saw them just on Monday night beating
the Raiders down to the ground.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Now the Raiders aren't that good either, but.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I'm just saying they have like these these you know.
So I just don't know what. I don't even know
where this game is gonna go to, be honest, I
just remember that the Dallas Cowboys do have. They had
three defensive players returned from injury, and so that could
be something that they've been missing. Because offensively, Dak has
some star receivers he's throwing to, he has CD, he

(07:07):
has George Pickens. So maybe them getting those defensive weapons
back will be kind of the what they need to
at least win a few more games to close out
the season.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
The Chiefs are interesting because the Chiefs are a top
ten defense, top six defense, right, and they're a top
ten offense. But in the win column, it just it
doesn't it's not translating. Yeah, when you look at Patrick Mahomes,
out of that magic that you know, he's known for
seems to have faded. And I'm not saying that Patrick
Mahomes has turned into a pumpkin by any stretch. They

(07:40):
don't run the ball particularly well. I think that's probably
a huge reason why their offense doesn't move the ball
as well as it should. But there's something about Patrick
Mahomes this year that just doesn't look quite as magical.
And we saw signs of this last year as well.
We saw some slippage and it's carried over into the season.
But fortunately he is going against the Dallas Cowboys, who

(08:02):
if you're ever looking to get your magic back, if
you ever looking for an opponent to get your juice
back from, it is the Dallas Cowboys because they have
these games, especially like in big moments, where they just
give it up so easy to quarterbacks, like we've had
quarterbacks have the biggest games of their careers against the
Dallas Cowboys this year. And so I look for Patrick

(08:22):
Mahomes actually be back on track and have one of
those vintage Patrick Mahomes games.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I think the Chiefs come away with this victorious.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Yeah, I just I a steel like the way Dak
has been playing this year, So I'm not even gonna
take too many shots to the Cowboys. I just think
there's something about that that jersey and that logo that just,
I don't know, you you just walk all over it
in big moments.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Just a thing.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
I think that any of their home games feel like
home games.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
That's another thing like Kansas City to be in AD
and T Stadium. Also, this is the first time these
two teams have played each other in Dallas since twenty seventeen,
so it's been a long time coming for this matchup
in Dallas.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
But I see the Chiefs winning this one as well.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah for sure.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, Okay, so this one I think is going to
be really interesting too.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
We got the Ravens versus the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Okay, interesting why.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
They're both in the AFC North right, and it seems
as though Baltimore is progressing and the Bengals are regressing.
But funny enough, Joe Flacco and Lamar Jackson have very
similar stat lines.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
I don't know, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm
just saying.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Now he has been gone and I don't know where
flat Flacco has been kind of all over the place,
but they do. I like Baltimore in this matchup, because,
like I said, they seem to be kind of finding
their footing now we know that they had the I
think after that loss to Detroit early in the season,
Lamar got hurt.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
It was just they were down there.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
But it seems as though they're they're coming back around
to the Baltimore Ravens team that we know and that
we root for.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
The Ravens still have a chance.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
To win this division, and I think that they are
playing with Yeah, they're playing with a level of vigor
right now since Lamar came back. And even though the
Browns had they had any other quarterback than Shador who
just clearly was not ready to be in that game,
we could have seen the Ravens lose to the Browns
a couple of weeks back.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
But I know that that's a fact.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
But I think Baltimore is trending upward, and I think
that they recognized they have an opportunity to sneak into
the playoffs despite how they started this season off. And
so I think that confidence, or that hope rather is
what they're riding and they'll go in and they'll they'll
crush the Bengals, who, Yeah, I just the magic whatever

(10:42):
magic Flacco has left, not even magic, whatever ability Flacco
has left in his arm. I think we start to
see deterior rate throughout the rest of the season. Joe Flacco,
Jersey legend, you know, had a phenomenal career, But I
can't see him going into Baltimore coming out with a
dub over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens barn some catastrophic
injury of some sort, and uh, actually for Zay Flowers

(11:03):
to be a game breaker in this game. I see
Zay having a big game. I think it's I think
it's about time he's about to do.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Yeah, because I'm sitting here thinking about all of the
weapons that they do have on offense, and that is
such a talented team actually on both sides of the ball.
They have so much talent, and I just don't know
what's been hindering them in the past.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Not having not having their quarterback. It was a big.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Injurance, but well well yeah, but even still, I mean,
even with him, we've seen some instances where maybe they
could have been better than they than they were now
for the Bengals, Jamar Chase will be back after a
one game suspension. That was crazy because you lied.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
You gotta lie, you gotta lie.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
No comment like I mean in the honk of.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
I don't like bodily spitting is crazy.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
It's really bad, Like that is the most business separate
thing that you could do in the honk of spit
and shout out to Jaylen Ramsey because he was like, no,
he's been on me, and why are you acting like
there's not twenty cameras on you.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
Yeah, the Bengals just having a really rough season, man,
And so at the beginning of the season, I think
we talked about this when I was talking about Joe Burrow,
like the best ability is availability, and this is we've
seen some some years now where Joe Burrow just flat
out is not available to this team. And it's freak
incidents and accidents, you know, but but it's not uncommon

(12:25):
for us to see Joe Burrow miss so much time.
And I don't know what this team does going forward.
You continue to pay, you know, big time receivers if
the guy who's you know, supposed to get him the
ball isn't always available, Like what do the Bengals do
after this season? Yeah, at the beginning of the season,
we talked about this. I don't know if you're the Bengals,
where you invest your coins going forward because the guy

(12:46):
who you who you believe in is isn't always available man,
and so like, do you start investing in the defensive
side of the ball a little bit more and you know,
maybe trade one of your star receivers and figure out
how to offset these moments when when Burrow isn't around, Like, what.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Do you do? What do you do?

Speaker 1 (13:02):
That is very interesting And I thought it was interesting
for them to go and get Joe.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Flacco, these retread quarterbacks. I mean, yeah, they.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Let me tell you something, the Bengals front office has
been very questionable.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Obviously.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I gave Fumble the Week to Shamar Stewart a couple
of weeks ago. I mean, you drafted him, I think
he was seventh overall and he sat out all of
the off season.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Because the money.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
And now you are garbage and he's trash.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Damna, Maria Rodney.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
You can't let no line and push you ten yards
back like that. That's embarrassing. That's embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
He had sprained ankleest you a first.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Round pick, That's what I'm saying. I think that some
of the stuff that they're doing is real questionable over there.
Y'all got to figure out what y'all like.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Front office has to do some stuff over there first
before anything. Because we're talking about talent. Y'all got one
of the best receiving cords.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
In the NFL.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Yeah, and there's times where we see them, like what
was that game that the Bengals had that was it
was the it was the old man ball against the Steels, Okay, okay,
And I think they won that matchup thirty three thirty
one at home, and that's where we kind of I mean,
they were playing the Steelers, who leaves a division though,
that was a really good matchup where we saw okay,

(14:22):
like Joe Flacco, Jamar Chase, like, y'all look great. They
have lost three straight games after that. They lost three
straight games after that.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, okay, well, uh the Jets. Yeah, that's I can't
lose to the Jets now.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
See, you can't lose to the Jets. Now, that's the
team that you shouldn't be losing to. Okay, I'm taking
the Ravens by at least a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
If not more.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, at least at the very least.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
So yeah, So this week, we got who are you taking?
Just to make sure that we are we in alignment
in all three games? I believe so, yes, dang now
I want to switch up a pick just so I
can be I could be the ops packers put on
your head.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yeah, I'll take the pack Let's go. Michael Parson's turn up,
Let's go, Georgan. Nothing about to go crazy out there.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
You don't sound confident, but all right, yeah, man.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Y'all let us know your thoughts on what's gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
Well, actually I don't know, man, because by the time
y'all get through this, the games might be over.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
We want to know what your favorite food is on Thanksgiving?

Speaker 5 (15:22):
Okay, let me know if you have retired turkey, and
y'all a lot of people out there switching their hands
now and duck. You know, turkey for some people is
no longer the meat of choice on Thingsgiving. But let
us know your favorite and least favorite sides on Thanksgiving.
I want to know how your grandmama made her banana putting.
Uh does she put the vanilla wafers in there? Does
she add the wafers now? And what's the ratio from

(15:44):
wafers to bananas? That's important.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
And if you still eating chitlins, going and.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Free yourself, free my people from chitlings.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
