Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Eagles will only go as far as sa Quan's greatness.
I don't care how well Jalen Hurts plays it. Does
I know they have they have great receivers out there.
I understand that, But if that run game is not
efficient and effective, then I feel like that passing offense
can't even hits its peak and pinnacle without sa Quan
being the backbone of it.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
I don't think that the Monday night football matchups have
disappointed us. I think that the one tonight is going
to be no different. The Philadelphia Eagles taking on the
Green Bay Packers at lambeau Field. I'm trying to figure
out how does Green Bay keep getting all these good
games at home?
Speaker 3 (00:39):
But anyway, Rodney, what are your initial thoughts on this matchup?
Will you be watching?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
It depends on if the Strip Club is open because
I'm being in Atlanta Magic City time. No, I'm kidding.
I did they have TVs? They may have TV's at
Magic Yo. I want to see who the Packers really are.
I kind of know who the Eagles are. Jalen Hurts
has been playing some quality ball. You know a lot
(01:07):
of people earlier on in the season were saying he
doesn't do much, you know, behind center, and he really
I feel like he stepped his game up over the
last few weeks. But the Packers I'm intrigued by Sometimes
I don't know if they are one of the elite
teams in the NFL or do they just look like
the thing?
Speaker 2 (01:25):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
It's like when you meet a beautiful woman in the
club and you can't really tell if it's makeup that's
making her look good or if.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
She just looks good.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
That's where I'm at with the Packers, and it's time
to get that baby wipe and see what's really going
on underneath with the Packers's That's where I'm at in life.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yeah, and that's very interesting because the Packers only have
two losses this season, but they are still trying to
find themselves.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
I honestly feel.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Like both of these teams are really looking to establish
that they're one of the top teams in the NFC.
To be honest, I think that this matchup is going
to really prove that we saw and that was a
horrendous loss last week to the Carolina Panthers. I mean,
they had like three hundred and sixty plus yards of
total offense.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
They could only put up thirteen points.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
I'm not really sure what was not clicking against the
Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Of all teams, hold on, they definitely hold on.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I got to give a shout out to my guy,
Jonathan Cooley. He's the dB coach out there in Carolina.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
I'm saying, I was ever that was my dog. That's
my dog. He out here playing every time. What my
boy is out here winning? You know what I'm saying,
You should shout your husband out more.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
I would do that if my boob played on the
WNBA team and she was out here getting w That's
what I would do.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
But we different anyway.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Anyways, like I said, the Carolina Panthers, of all teams,
y'all got beat by them. It was just Michael Parsons
didn't have a good game. And like you brought up
the Philadelphia Eagles on the other side of it, they
have had some question.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Marks in the season.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
There wasn't there was a situation with their offense in
Jalen Hurts getting the ball out to his receivers.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
It seems as though they have figured it out.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
But I think that this is going to be a
true test Monday Night football at Lambeo Field. So I'm
really excited about this, about both of these matchups because
Green Bay is trying to say that they're the best
team or show that they're the best team not only
in the NFC North but in the NFC and if
they could get a win over the Philadelphia Eagles. But
(03:29):
Philly also plays very well on the road, So I mean.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
It's just yeah, I think in order to go into
Lambo and in the second week in November, I think
this is going to be a have to gain, gonna
have to be a game where we see old Saquan.
This is gonna be one of those games where Saquan
is going to have to show up differently than he
showed up so far this season. He has had a
very subpar season by any standards, but of course by
(03:56):
his own and then for sure based on how he
performed last year. So I think that at Lambeau, with
that crowd, maybe this is a game where you see,
uh Saquon be the featured offensive weapon for the Philadelphia Eagles.
We got to get him back on track. The Eagles
will only go as far as Saquon's greatness. I don't
(04:18):
care how well Jalen hurts plays it does. I know
they have they have great receivers out there. I understand that,
But if that run game is not efficient and effective,
then I feel like that passing offense can't even hit
it's its peak and pinnacle without sa Quon being the
backbone of it. So I'm looking forward to seeing him
getting back on track, and that'll be a big, a
(04:39):
big part of this week's of this week's matchup for sure,
show for shop.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, And I don't know if it's necessarily Saquon on
his own. They do have a new offensive coordinator who
seems to be still looking to find his footing, and
so maybe the focus was on throwing the ball because unfortunately,
we know the Eagles have have some outspoken receivers in
aj Brown. Davante is not as outspoken, but you know,
(05:06):
you kind of know where he stands. So it seems
as though that was the focus, was trying to make
everyone happy in the receiver room. But like you just mentioned,
that is a huge part of your offense is the
run game, and so.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
You gotta figure it out.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I would hate to be the offensive coordinator for the
Philadelphi Eagles because you got too many people that that's outspoken.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
How many people like to do this?
Speaker 1 (05:31):
This is where it's so crazy, is where we are nowadays.
It's just wild, were being real, mild though very mild,
we are being so if you have to call tonight's game,
all right, who you got and give me a spread?
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Und So I think that because green Bay is coming
off of that embarrassing loss to the Panthers, of all teams,
I think they're gonna be wanting it a little bit more.
And that's always really important to think about, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
And because they did.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Lose to the Panthers, I think that Philly's gonna come
in and maybe not take them as seriously.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
So I think I'm gonna go with green Bay.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
I don't want to, obviously, you know, my loyalty lies
with the Lions, and I need green Bay to lose.
But I just think that it's really hard to play
in Lambeau Monday night football.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
It's gonna be close, though, it's gonna be.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I'm gonna take the Packers, and I think I'm I
think I'm gonna be wrong on that.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
But that's smart That's that's when I'm kind of leaning.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
That's smart money. Monday Night Football at Lambeau in November.
That that's a tough matchup for anybody. That crowd is
you know, they're the best fan base in all of football.
Am I fair in saying that? No, that's the toughest
place to play, That's the toughest home arena.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
And you play in a neighborhood.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah, that's that's Yeah, that's a good call.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Still mind boggling to me. Y'all are playing in a neighborhood, y'all.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
I think, well, I'm gonna go the other direction. If
you're taking the Packers, which is probably the smarter bet,
I'm gonna go ahead and take the Eagles. I think
this is a game where Saquon does get back on track.
I could see him having at least one hundred and
fifty on the ground, and if he's able to even
eclipse one hundred, I think that opens up the entire
passing offense for the Eagles. But at some point, you know,
if the Eagles have are gonna have any chance at
(07:25):
having a moderate level of success by their own standards
for this season, then it's gonna have to be very
Saquon centric. And if he's not back this week, and
I think that maybe this is just not the Eagles year.
I just think if if by this week we don't
see shades of old Saquan, then there's something wrong. Maybe
he's injured.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
We actually one week, one week out from his uh
backwards split leg jump last year. I don't know if
he knows like anniversary. So we'll see, man, we'll see.
But I am looking forward to since a nice game
hopefully Magic City, Uncle Magic, you know as we call them.
There's been a minute since I've been in Magic City.
But I'm looking forward to the game being on because
(08:08):
i just can't wait to see them big old football
players on the field tackle each other. And ah, you know, y'all,
let us know your thoughts on tonight's Monday night football
game between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Who do you feel like is gonna come out victorious?
(08:28):
And why do you think Saquan is having such a
terrible season to start this year by his own stands.
Let us know your thoughts in the comments section, and
then let me know. Also any other Strip clubs I
