This week Don Waterman, Fifth Ward councilman on the Columbia City Council, joins us to talk about the special council meeting held on February 27th to discuss possibilities of new taxes to help fund the Council priorities moving forward. The meeting, part of the planning process for the 2026 fiscal yar budget, was set in early January 2025, ahead of a report on tax revenue for the 1st Quarter of fiscal year 2025 being below expectations. Waterman gives us a great breakdown of the meeting and the topics covered. We also talk water towers, electrical grid and more.
