to be anyway. And at five and four, I'm having fun.
I think Panthers fans buy and larger having fun, and

I think it's more than OK at five and four
past the midway mark to talk about the playoffs, I
just do. Because the Panthers went into lambeau Field, that
an o frigid shrine where legends play and opponents usually
go to die, and they stunned the Green Bay Packers
sixteen to thirteen with a rookie kicker and a patchwork
offensive line as a two touchdown underdog, and they left

seventy eight thousand people in Wisconsin absolutely speechless yesterday. Because
the Green Bay Packers are supposed to beat the Carolina Panthers. Right, well,
that was certainly their attitude. Your Carolina Panthers are five
and four above five hundred for the first time since
twenty nineteen. They didn't just find a way to win.
They made a statement. I believe that it was not
a blowout win, but everyone laughed and scoffed at the

possibility this team could go up there and win after
what happened against Buffalo. And then Ryan Fitzgerald, a name
that we all know now certainly a household name in
the Carolina Panthers universe. Undrafted rookie from Florida State nails
a forty nine yarder with the wind at his back
at Lambeau with the game on the line, second walk
off kick in four weeks.

That's not luck.

That might be a legend in training, like you could
feel it the moment the kid connected, the noise vanished,
you saw splitting the uprights, and the Panthers, I think,
started to believe that they might be a little bit
further along than any one thought. And of course we
cannot skip over Rico Hengel, mccringle Berry Dowdell twenty five
carries one hundred and thirty yards two touchdowns again, running angry,

running tough, running like he's tired of hearing that this
team can't do things. Every time he gets twenty or
more carries, the Panthers win. That's an identity, that's a formula.
And then there's the head coach, Dave Canalis. He outsmarted
Matt Lafleur in his own building. I think Matt, I
think Dave Canallis and a Javero knew exactly what Matt
Lafleur's offense was going to do pretty much all day yesterday.

We saw it time and time and time again. And
Dave Canallis, by the way, scrapped the two back system,
leaned on the hot hand, trusted a Vero's defense to
bend but never break, and it worked. Jordan Love threw
for two seventy three and did not sniff the end zone.
Packers hit the red zone five times, came away with
one touchdown. That's grit, that's discipline, that's coaching. That's now. Look,

nobody's handing out playoff berths in November. But when you've
got a team that's been the underdog in every single
game this year and still found its way above five

Bind you, I don't know that that's rebuilding anymore, that's
just competing. And the math nerds say that it's still
about a seventeen percent chance that the Panthers make the playoffs.

are eight games left in the season, all NFC matchups.

that they had to play in order to beat us
in regards to trying to run the football consistently throughout

Both teams were doing the same things defensively for the

out there yesterday. Try to keep everything in front, like

EJ sent some really timely blitzes yesterday. They got after
the quarterback a little bit better. But the game plan
was not to get beaten over the top, not to

give up big chunk plays, keep everything in front, force
Green Bay to have to drive the ball down the
field eight ten, twelve plays. Force them to do that
and give themselves opportunities to make mistakes. That was the
game plan. Clearly yesterday and it worked out, So I
don't know what The off coverage sometimes is really frustrating
for me too, but you have to kind of step

back and take stock of the game plan and they're
sticking to it, and they stuck with it yesterday. It's
a big reason why they I mean, they held the
Packers to thirteen points yesterday.

up on them, and usually teams like Carolina take advantage

Green Bay was playing a similar style defense to Carolina.

Panthers didn't want to get into a shootout with a
team averaging nearly twenty eight points per game. So they

As much as I might like you, it is absolutely
not time for a serious Bryce conversation. They love the guy,
his teammates do. They believe in him. He runs the
offense better than anybody on the team. He does some

past the midway mark to talk about the playoffs, I
just do. Because the Panthers went into lambeau Field, that
an o frigid shrine where legends play and opponents usually
go to die, and they stunned the Green Bay Packers
sixteen to thirteen with a rookie kicker and a patchwork
offensive line as a two touchdown underdog, and they left

seventy eight thousand people in Wisconsin absolutely speechless yesterday. Because
the Green Bay Packers are supposed to beat the Carolina Panthers. Right, well,
that was certainly their attitude. Your Carolina Panthers are five

They made a statement. I believe that it was not
a blowout win, but everyone laughed and scoffed at the

the Carolina Panthers universe. Undrafted rookie from Florida State nails
a forty nine yarder with the wind at his back
at Lambeau with the game on the line, second walk
off kick in four weeks.

That's not luck.

That might be a legend in training, like you could
feel it the moment the kid connected, the noise vanished,
you saw splitting the uprights, and the Panthers, I think,
started to believe that they might be a little bit
further along than any one thought. And of course we
cannot skip over Rico Hengel, mccringle Berry Dowdell twenty five
carries one hundred and thirty yards two touchdowns again, running angry,

running tough, running like he's tired of hearing that this
team can't do things. Every time he gets twenty or
more carries, the Panthers win. That's an identity, that's a formula.
And then there's the head coach, Dave Canalis. He outsmarted
Matt Lafleur in his own building. I think Matt, I
think Dave Canallis and a Javero knew exactly what Matt
Lafleur's offense was going to do pretty much all day yesterday.

Trayvon Marrick, Javon Holland which free agent safety should they
be pursuing. They convinced and landed on Trayvon Merrick. And
I said at the time, I thought he was the
better safety. Looks like it right now. He's made a

massive impact on the step And I think what also
helps with Trayvon is he can actually play like a
Swiss army knife. You can use him inside the box
a little bit more Holland You're never using him inside
the box. And even me, as an non expert, knows that.
And he can lay the fump on too.

but he can do a little bit of everything. And

to the running game. We thought he could be part
