Speaker 1 (00:11):
I'm still on a speeding bullet, more powerful on a locomotive. Hey,
well believe tall buildings at a single down.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Okay, I'm under cried.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
It's a fairy Lincoln.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Lincoln, Lincoln bbingas banana being gun feed by holing gun Lincoln.
They cat Lincoln is a bad mother. I'm just talking
about Lincoln. Good morning, Cincinnati. Welcome to twelve thirty WDBZ.

(00:51):
We are the buzz of Cincinnati, your talk station. The
Lincoln were show till one o'clock this afternoon. There's a
lot going on around the tri State, the nation, and
the world, and uh we'll get you there. We're going
around the world. Yes, all right.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Cincinnati and Hamilton County have settled a class action lawsuit
claiming people's First Amendment rights were violated when they had
the remember the George Floyd Breonna Taylor demonstrations they had,
And so the people who were arrested and made to

(01:34):
stand around in a facility with just walls and no
ceiling or whatever, they gotta get eight point one million. Yeah,
so there you go. They Mayor Cranley was the mayor.

(01:57):
Then it was unconstitutional, unlawful imprisonment of protesters. It's what happened.
They had to curfew out and they were arresting people
like crazy, didn't have anywhere to put them. So there
you go. Lawsuits settled. People get a little change, lawyers
get a little change, and everybody's happy except the city

(02:21):
and the county because they're the ones that have to pay.
The Supreme Court is hearing a case that could give
Donald Trump even more powers than he thinks he has
right now. And man, I hope they don't grant him
those powers to fire fire people who work for agencies

(02:45):
outside of the administration, you know, like I guess the
Federal Trade Commission and things like that. Trump feels like
he can put his fire people who are there and
put his own people in there, and uh, they say

(03:06):
that's not constitutional. And the Supreme Court is going to
hear that case starting today. But lately here the Supreme
Court pretty much been sighting with Trump nine times out
of ten, so we'll they'll probably side with him on
this one. So we'll see five, one, three, seven, twelve, thirty.

(03:30):
I want to get your comments on that. Want to
get your comments on the settlement of the protesters here
in Cincinnati and Hamilton, County, get your comments on that. Uh,
Doctor Oz has warned the Minnesota governor about medicaid fraud
and the Somalians up there, and man, it's going crazy.

(03:50):
There's a lot of stuff going on in Minnesota over that, uh,
Somalis and all the fraud going on. Man, now they
send some of the money, it's gone back to terrorists
and all kind of stuff. So we haven't heard the
end of that, I'm sure. And we're gonna hear from
Somali's today who voted for Trump? And now he's talking

(04:13):
about y'all like a dog and you voted for Yeah,
we'll let you hear some cuts from that a little
bit later. But it's just like Twin and these guys.
They vote for Trump and then he comes back to
hurt him, comes back to hurt him. Unbelievable. And what

(04:36):
in the hell was Trump doing? M seeing the Kennedy
Center honors, I didn't see it. I didn't even know
he was supposed to MC the Dog one thing I
would have tuned in just to see what type of
MC job he was doing. But he is totally taken
over the Kennedy Center, everything, he's taken over. Hem. I

(05:00):
didn't know he was gonna MC the dogone event. Yeah boy,
all right, Netflix making an attempt. They are planning on
buying Warner Brothers and that could be huge when it

(05:22):
comes to movies and motion pictures and all kind of stuff.
And Trump says he's gonna be a part of it,
of the decision, whether it happens or not. He has
inserted himself in that. He kills me doing that. And
when have you heard of a president inserting himself in

(05:43):
a merger like this. They'll let the government agencies that
handle that insert themselves, but not the president directly. That's
just he's out of control. Out of control. Don't forget
this week. In this coming Saturday, the Big Power Community

(06:03):
Power Lunch, all the power brokers will be there at
the Holloman Center over at the Avondale Town Center. Jan
Michelle lemon Kearney, Scottie Johnson, Greg Lansman, Kathy Ingram, Rachel Baker,
Cecil Thomas Ashley Bryant Bailey, CPS Board President, Kareem Moffatt,

(06:29):
Carrie Bloom Juvenile Court and the newest council member elect,
Ryan James. They'll all be there at this community power Lunch.
And there We'll be some food there too. That's what
they say. That's what they say. Food. Yeah, it's a
power lunch, so it's got to be some food. So
make sure you show up. It's free. It starts at

(06:50):
eleven am, goes to one pm. That is this coming
Saturday over at the Holloman Center for Social Justice. So
everyone should show up there, let your voices be heard,
and you'll be good to go. Yeah, so all the

(07:14):
power people elected officials will be in the house. That's
this coming Saturday, eleven to one, Holloman Center. Before you
call Terrence Howard, Now what did he say that was
gonna take place? At? What time was it? I don't
know if they sound like that, but I can just

(07:37):
imagine how they sound when they call after I've said
it five times. If they call and still ask, they
have to sound like that. This coming Saturday, eleven to
one the Holloman Center for Justice. Be there. All right,

(08:00):
let's move along. We have some other stuff going on. Oh.
Carrie Combes is now going to coach for the University
of Michigan. He's coached at u See at at Ohio State.
He's coached in Tennessee, co Raine High School, and now
he's going to Michigan. Carrie Combes, all right, and it'll

(08:28):
probably lure some high schoolers from Cincinnati up to Michigan.
I'm sure that's probably why they hired him, to get
some of this talent here that the UC Bearcats can
never seem to get. They don't get any local talent.
It seems like that's really some good around here. It's

(08:49):
a lot of good local talent. You see, never goes
after him anymore. Hey, Luke Fickle went after him, But
this guy's h Saturfield does not do that. I don't know.
But you see, we'll go to a bowl this year.
They're going bowling. Yeah, so we'll talk about that later.
But Kerry Combs, of course his co Raine team won.

(09:15):
They were the two thousand and four state champions two
thousand and four. Kelsey Grammar, you know who. Kelsey Grammar
is frasier. He says Trump is maybe the greatest president ever.
Maybe he needs to see a psychiatrist, that's what he says. Uh,

(09:38):
he's just praising Trump and all kinds of stuff. So
Kelsey Grammar speaking of Kelsey anybody see Kelsey Mitchell on
Star sixty four yesterday morning, just a delightful young lady
plays for the WNBA Indiana Fever and she was on
the show this yesterday on Star sixty four. If you

(09:59):
need to see online, just go to Star sixty four
dot TV. I think it's up already, give it till noon.
It should be up by noon. If it's up, not
up yet, Star sixty four dot TV, and you can
see all the Cincinnati issues uh on there on the
webpage Star sixty four s t a R sixty four

(10:22):
dot TV. Have to spell star yeah because you might
hit the star on you know how you hit the
star instead of yeah, So yeah, you got to spell
it out though. He just hit yeah anyway, Uh boy

(10:43):
T Higgins, I think maybe he should have. I'm glad
he didn't, but for his health's sake, he probably should
have stayed out another week. Every time he hit the
ground his head hit, he'd get up holding his head
like he didn't know what was going on. He was
seeing star. But that one hand to catch he made
was unbelievable. Jeez, that the guy had his other arm.

(11:06):
It should have been a flag. Anyway. The guy had
to he couldn't bring his other arm up to catch
the ball. He just brought it in with one arm,
brought it into his chest, and uh, he was good
to go. But every time he was holding his head
like it was really hurting bad. One time, the first
time he hit his head, he couldn't even get up.
He just had to sit there holding his head for

(11:29):
a while. Then he went down again and he started
grabbing at his head. It was I was like, man,
you messing yourself up. You messing up. When you turn sixty,
you be jumping off buildings and stuff, going crazy, telling
you that stuff is no joke? All right? What else

(11:51):
we have here? Uh? Well, and speaking of the Bengals,
once again, we're in a situation where we gotta can't
lose and you gotta depend on everybody else. We were
in the same situation last year and it didn't work out,
And here we are once again, same situation. Bengals had

(12:14):
that game yesterday and they just boy the defense. I
didn't see maybe two or three actually actual contested passes.
Most of the time when they throw, these guys are
wide open. These guys are wide open, nobody's near them.
What is going on with the defense when they don't

(12:36):
know who to cover? And why didn't the Bengals. Put
a scout on Kelly. Just put one player or a
linebacker or somebody to follow this guy. He ran over
the Bengals like he was a running back. Oh man,
I tell you, geez, what can you say? What can

(12:59):
you say? Man? Oh yeah, I forgot to tell Pharroh
there will be a white person singing the national anthem?
Did I tell him that? Yet? There will be a
white person singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl,
but there will be a black person singing lift every voice.
But Parroh says, they always tried out the black folks

(13:22):
when it's the national scene scene around the world. You
want to make sure make people think black folks are
having such a great life here in America. But he's
wrong this time. Yeah, let's see where Oh man, can
you believe Indiana beat the buck Eyes? What's up with that?

(13:45):
First time? And I don't know how many years but
Indiana beat Ohio State and that field goal kicker for
Ole State he could have tied the game but just
didn't make it. And man, I know he's got to
be feeling like crap. I know he's not going to
class at all today if he can help it.

Speaker 6 (14:07):
He's gonna be facing one of those blanket parties.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Yes, I'm sure they have those in college football. I'm sure.
And Jermaine Burton, why don't the Bengals just cut this
guy and stop messing around with him? He was suspended
again for Sunday's game, something that he's done. And how
many times, how many chances are they giving this guy,

(14:32):
Jermaine Burton, cut your losses and get him out of here.
I just don't understand. Two teenagers was shot in Avondale
the other night, and it started off as a fight
and it ended up both students, both the teenagers getting shot.

(14:56):
One was a male, one was a female. They said
some kind of on that street they've been they've had
for weeks now, some kind of beef going on, and
it was a guy and a girl fighting and both
of them ended up getting shot. Unbelievable, unbelievable. There's a

(15:18):
guy who threatened an Amazon driver. I don't know what
the driver did to him. Then the guy took the
Amazon driver's truck and led police on a high speed chase. Yeah,
led him on a high speed chase, and they finally

(15:38):
caught him. And uh, I think he'll be coming back
to Hamilton County for his court hearing. Unbelievable. Saw that
the Amazon driver took the truck. Cheese took the truck.

Speaker 7 (15:55):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Speaking of the Buffalo Bills, you saw the snow on
the field yesterday. Last time I was in Buffalo, it
snowed just like that when the Bengals played. Last time.
I was in Buffalo for the game. But the Bengals
won that game. Anyway, the Bills are getting a new stadium,
and they're not gonna get a dome, but they're gonna

(16:17):
get a stadium with heated with a heated field. The
grass will be heated, it'll stay around sixty degrees and
it'll be grass turf. It won't be artificial turf. It'll
be grass. But they're gonna keep it heated and everything.
And the state is paying six hundred million, and the

(16:41):
county is paying like four hundred million, and the Bills
will pay the rest pretty much. I guess almost half
of it that the taxpayers are paying for fifty percent,
and then they pay the other fifty unlike the ninety
eight percent we paid, and then the Browns the other

(17:03):
two percent. It was ninety seven ninety eight, and then
the Brown. But anyway, they got a fifty to fifty deal,
which is not bad, not bad all right where else?

Speaker 8 (17:17):
Am I.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Okay, I think it's time to take a break, and
we'll do that and we'll come back. We've got a
lot more for you right here on the Lincoln Wear
Show twelve thirty the Buzz. And yeah, I went to
the UC Xavier game Friday night, and I told you,
I predicted. I told you Xavier would win because you see,
does not have the defense the U SEE basketball used to.

(17:42):
They used to pride themselves in defense. And they just
couldn't stop this. They were at got drive right in
and making shots under the basket and driving it. That
used to didn't happen with U See. But that number twelve,
they couldn't stop it. And there's always one player from
Xavier that shows out every time they play the Bearcats.

(18:03):
And I remember one guy got forty points one night.
This guy got thirty points on Friday. But it was
a good game, a great crowd, boy, I tell you,
it was loud in there. And those Xavier Musketeer fans
they don't play, they don't play. But yeah, the Bearcats,

(18:26):
I didn't think they would hold them like they did.
I thought that they were gonna let it get away
from them, but they were able to hang in there
to the very end, to the very end. All right,
let's go downtown to the Crime Stopper headquarters and check
in with my good friend Detective Tiffany Green who stopped
by to pick her lost hat up the other day.

(18:49):
And you're gonna need that hat because it's cold outside.

Speaker 7 (18:52):
It's freezing today.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Yes, yes it is. And yes the Sentinels can come
in to talk about their Martin Luther King day event.

Speaker 9 (19:02):
Well great, what day?

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Well, I'll give you a call after we get out
there and we can set it up.

Speaker 7 (19:08):
Okay, that works for me, and thank you.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
No problem, no problem. See, when you're part of the show,
you get certain privileges, and that's one of them. Okay,
all right, who are we looking for today?

Speaker 7 (19:22):

originally charged with dangerous drugs. Joseph Birch Hope is a

money for your clues, and I'll talk to you later
on today. Like Wise, by the way, the president of
the Sentinels, Isaac was, came right after you left the
other day the other morning, right after you left Friday,
he stopped buying.

Speaker 7 (20:50):
Okay, and he's okay.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Yeah, you missed him by maybe fifteen minutes, all right.

Speaker 7 (20:56):
And he didn't say anything about it.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Yes, he didn't say anything about He didn't get on
the air because he was working on duty. He had
his uniform on. He didn't get on the air. But
he's supposed to call me and we'll get it together.
But I'll call you after the show and we'll we'll
work it out right, all right. That's Detective Tiffany Green
from Crime Stoppers. You had the Sentinels and the the

(21:21):
Sentinels and the fire Department usually have their joint MLK
banquet or something on. Yeah, it used to be a
really big event. You haven't heard much about it lately
in the in the past few years, haven't heard a
lot of talk about it. But I think it's still
going on. Yeah, maybe Jeral Prophet can tell us a

(21:41):
little bit about it. He's on there. Oh that that's
a Raphael Prophet that would know, not Jerald. I get
my profits mixed up every now and then. All right,
we're going to take a break and then we'll come back.
Five one, three, seven, four, nine, twelve thirty. It's Lincoln
where twelve thirty. The buzz, see the buzz of Cincinnati.

(22:04):
I'd rather be with you on Christmas night. Yes, that's
a bootsy and zap. That's a pretty good one. I
like that. Five one, three, seven, four, nine, twelve thirty
Lincoln were with you. And let's see. We've got Mustafa, sister,
Kelly Fayroh Gerald, Prophet Mike McCoy all holding on, we'll
get to you. We've got the superintendent coming in at eleven.

(22:27):
We'll talk to her about the upcoming school Well, the
school year is already underway, Bud. What's in store in
twenty twenty six at Cincinnati Public and looking for March
for that homeless parking lot that everybody's been talking about. Yeah,
that's coming up. All right, let's go to Mustafa. Mustafa,

(22:50):
how are you doing doing well?

Speaker 10 (22:52):
I'm just deeply troubled by how Donald Trump is recent.
Don't want to make three days.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Oh yeah, doctor King's birthday. No more free days at
the parks. Yeah, at America's parks.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
But his birthday is free.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Wow, are you kidding me? His birthday is free?

Speaker 3 (23:17):
I know his birthday is free, but not on doctor
king birthday, which is well that's.

Speaker 8 (23:23):
Who he is.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
He told you who he was. He told you who
he was. We knew who he was?

Speaker 3 (23:30):
No, yes, we did not.

Speaker 10 (23:33):
Many people didn't. Many people had not really known who
this character is.

Speaker 11 (23:38):
New voters, old.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Voters, particularly the people who don't vote, you know. Nonetheless,
did you watch that, R Kelly, I'm sorry, the P
Diddy piece on net?

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Oh yeah, I watched his last week. I watched his
last week. Yeah, uh he did. He is a horrible
person after watching that, He's a horrible person.

Speaker 10 (24:00):
Oh my god, that's like Sabid and R.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
Kelly. I mean he may not get he may not
never get out of jail following that.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Well, I mean he's been sentenced. He's gonna get out.

Speaker 8 (24:12):
Uh what I'm saying.

Speaker 10 (24:13):
What I'm saying is he may be indicted.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
On charge on new charges. Yeah. Well, you know the
way he treated some of those people who work for him,
and uh, the guy who owned twenty five percent of
the company, how he forced him to sign it over
to him and then paying that guy end up homeless
and stuff. It's just horrible.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
One guy, Yeah, that was that was bad. The one
guy little ride. He kept getting promises. At some point
you have to say, hey, look, you have to come
in the door, say look right, I need off the
south and.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
Yeah, you just do all this stuff and never get paid.
Then expect after it's over, waiting on him to pay you.
And he never paid him. That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
That's the oldest game in the book. In the streets.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Yeah, yeah, especially in the music in the street. They
should know better, but.

Speaker 10 (25:02):
I guess they get around some luxury items on the yacht,
in the penthouse, big studio. You get some people may
get mesmerized by that and the promise of and they
remain silent because they don't want to hurt the relationship.
But you got the good, so you pressure him and say, look,
I'm coming in. You got to bring me fifty percent,

(25:23):
Yeah at the beginning, another twenty five percent in the middle,
and the remainder at the end. Before we get started.
I gotta have fifty percent flood out. Yep, all right, man,
I catch it later.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Hey, thanks for your call. Yeah, and did he was jealous.
He was a jealous type guy too. Don't you mouth
off to me or I'm gonna slap you right in
your penish. Oh boy, unbelievable. He was jealous. He hated
the friendship of Tupac and Biggie Smalls. He hated that relationship.

(25:59):
He was just something. He was just something. He was
just a horrible person, A horrible, horrible person. All right.
Five one, three, seven, four, nine, twelve thirty. Looks like
sister Kelly, Sister Kelly, how you doing?

Speaker 8 (26:16):
Hey?

Speaker 12 (26:16):
Pretty good? Mister Lincoln, how are you.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
I'm hanging in there. What's up?

Speaker 5 (26:19):
Hey?

Speaker 12 (26:20):
I have two announcements. First off, thank you. I heard
at the beginning of the show where you talked about
the community Power Lunch coming right here from the office
of Vice Mayor jam Michelle lemon Kearney along with council
member Scottie Johnson. Yes, and we want everybody to come out,

(26:42):
but mister Lincoln, is one important thing. Yes, we need
a head count, so we need people to call and register.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Oh lord here.

Speaker 12 (26:54):
Because we don't want to over a hunder order.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Yeah yeah, food, Yeah, Okay, what number do they need?

Speaker 12 (27:00):
Okay, so they can call five one three, three five
two five two zero five, which is here at our office,
and just let them know, Hey, we plan on coming,
or we're gonna come as a group. It's going to
be ten of us. We want to get it all
counted up.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
So we can order enough, ran out of food.

Speaker 12 (27:24):
And you know this, so we want to take care
of you, Cincinnati, So call and register. The second thing
I want to say last week I mentioned about the
Kwanza that's gonna We're gonna be doing that Kwanta celebration
this Wednesday on the front steps of City Hall eleven thirty.

(27:45):
But what I didn't get to say that I want
to say the Cincinnati Kwanza Committee is working in conjunction
with the Office of Vice Mayor on this event, and
how wonderful they have been to work with. You know,
they are hard workers. They are keeping community principles and

(28:08):
pulling unity together as well as they have it where
everybody can be invited. So you know, we want to
say big ups and shout out to the Cincinnati Kwanza Committee.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
All right, and let's give that number again up to
for the headcount of the Community Power Lunch. The number
is three five three three.

Speaker 12 (28:31):
Five two five.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Two zero five five to.

Speaker 12 (28:35):
Zero five, and please call, please call, please register, but
most importantly, please come out to the Community Power Lunch
and find out what's going on in your community, your state,
and your nation.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
All right, sister Kelly, thanks for colling. Appreciate it. Thank you,
Sister Kelly. With the church messages right there, it doesn't
get any better than that. All right, let's go to
Gerald Prophet and then Fayroh and Mike McCoy. Jerild Prophet,
how you doing?

Speaker 8 (29:07):
Hey?

Speaker 13 (29:07):
How you doing? Lincoln? And I could say, you know,
as a brother of the African American fire Fighters, I
have supported that banquet to my mom and probably ten
or fifteen people every year. Yes, we go out there,
so it's like a family event, you know, because my
brother was president of African American Firefighters. But what I
called you about is that Indiana win. If you understand this,

(29:32):
almost guaranteed the buck Eyes are going to be that
national championship. The team we got to play, I don't
know if you want to did this, Okay, I had
to pull it out. Okay. The buck Eyes played on
the thirty first, the winner of the Miami Texas A
and M game. Now Indiana they played a winner of

(29:52):
Alabama in Oklahoma. So of course you know you gotta
wait till that those two teams play. But if Indiana
can do what they did against US, I predict a
rematch Big Ten National Championship game Indiana Ohio State. Oh boy,
And I'm afraid to pick us, okay, because I think

(30:15):
our quarterback is scared this past week. Really, so if
we played a team scared, I think you're gonna be
scared again. So I'm hoping Indiana loss, then we're gonna
win National championship guaranteed.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
Okay, we'll see.

Speaker 13 (30:26):
I'm just I'm saying I think Indiana is the only
team that but we've already seen that they're the only
team that can beat the buck out.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
All right, all right, that's all I had.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Thanks for your Thanks for your Kyle. All right, and
I'm looking at Facebook live. Now what date is the luncheon?
I didn't hear it? Okay, once again, it's this coming Saturday,
December thirteenth, twenty twenty five, This Saturday, December thirteenth at

(30:55):
the Holloman Center for Social Justice. It's called the Community
Power Lunch. And Jan Michelle Lemon, Kearney, Scottie Johnson put
this whole thing together. Greg Lansman will be there. Kathy Ingram,
Rachel Baker, Cecil Thomas, Ashley, Bryant Bailey, uh, doctor Kareem

(31:21):
Moffatt Carrie Bloom and council Member elect Ryan James, they'll
all be there. You got the federal you got the state,
you got the city, and you got the school board,
and you got the courts. They covered all the ground. Yeah,

(31:42):
they didn't have anybody from the prosecutor's office there, but
we got the court there. Okay, So that's this coming Saturday.
The number to call one more time five to one,
three three five, two, five to zero five. All right,

(32:05):
I hope you got that information. Oh boy, all right,
proh how you doing.

Speaker 11 (32:11):
I'm all right, Lincoln, Lincoln, what you said about the
national anthem and what I said, I didn't say every time.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
Well you said most of the time when it's a
big when it's a big game and it's seen nationwide
or around the world.

Speaker 11 (32:29):
But what I'm saying is that if a black sings
it once, that's one time too many. Okay, any black
who sings it is one time too many. Lincoln, define
for me what is a commercial?

Speaker 4 (32:45):
What is a commercial? I mean it's an advertising to
give information about event somebody's having, with the daytime, place
and how much it costs.

Speaker 11 (32:57):
It's about making money.

Speaker 13 (32:58):
In other words, Well, yeah, if you want to make money.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
You probably need just like these people bringing in uh
what's this guy? King George? And no advertising and only
a few seats have been sold.

Speaker 11 (33:13):
So I don't know why the bottom line is making money.
If you look, if you look at the whole concept
of Christmas in that same light, if you see commercials
on TV about Christmas, look at it in that same light.
It's nothing but a way to make money. There has
nothing to do with nothing spiritual, nothing religious. It's all about.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
Well you make a good points about So why do
our people buy into that European foolishness?

Speaker 11 (33:47):
Lincoln, have you ever wondered what does December twenty third,
December twenty second the winter solstice? What relevance does the
winter solstice have the Christmas?

Speaker 4 (34:06):
Nothing that I can see. It just changes from fall
to winter, one season, changing one season, the.

Speaker 11 (34:15):
New as the new Sun okay, as the new Son. Okay,
but Europeans they've changed it. And then they threw their
Jesus in Mary he was born on this day. See
I told you it's nothing but fantasy. It's nothing but
a big commercial to make money.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Relevancy, Well, that's what makes the whole world go around.
It keeps people employed because people are out buying. You
gotta have people.

Speaker 11 (34:45):
Working in the store about making money.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Advertising, people working in TV and radio.

Speaker 11 (34:51):
I told you to keep your money in your pocket.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
And then the world will stop.

Speaker 11 (34:56):
Everything start into all of that Europeans foolishness. The last
thing I want to say that did you uh? Have
you followed up on that? Uh uh? And it happened
maybe a few years ago out in California about that
teenager who the police shot and killed accidentally.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
I'm not sure if I heard that one.

Speaker 11 (35:22):
Anyway, they settled it. I think last week.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
I think okay.

Speaker 11 (35:27):
Anyway, the situation involved this young boy. He was sixteen
years old. He had been jumped on and he ended
up in the hospital by some gang out there. So
he started carrying a gun on him and he was
walking down the street. They showed it on the videotape

(35:48):
they had on the street. These four or five guys
saw him, I was gonna jump on him again or whatever,
So he broke out running. Just so happened a police
was the block of two away and happened to hear gunfire.
So he went to investigate the gunfire that he heard,
and just after a while these boys chasing this sixteen

(36:11):
year old boy gonna beat him up. He ran around
the corner and so the police assumed that he you know,
he shot the gun. The police shot and killed him,
and he running away from these these gang members who
were chasing him.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
That's great. So they found it.

Speaker 11 (36:30):
They had filed a big loss. Who his parents did?
They settled it, I think a few days ago. They
really they wanted one hundred million, but they all they
got out of it was thirty million. But they shot
and killed this boy. He running from these gang members

(36:50):
and this police investigating the gun shots heard, you know,
saw the boys could running from around the corner and
soon to hear fire the gun. They shot and killed him.
But he's family guys thirty million, but the thirty million
doesn't compensate really, no, no, all.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Right, gotta run, Thanks for your call. Let's take a break.
Twelve thirty the buzz And I'm trying to read and talk,
and that never works. When I'm trying to read something
and then talking, you're not trying to read it in
my mind and then talking, It never works out that way.
All right, I'm trying to read these Facebook live messages
while I'm talking about other stuff and it never works

(37:29):
out right, never works out All right, Sister Kelly's got
an easier way for you to register and let people
know you coming to the power lunch so they'll have
enough food. What's the other way they can register, sister Kelly.

Speaker 12 (37:44):
Yes, sir, so they can go to event right dot
com and that's online and search for Community Power Lunch
and right there they can register. We've been getting the
calls of people coming in. Thank you all for call.
Thank you all for listening to mister Lincoln and calling
in the register. But we can make this much easier

(38:06):
for the city. Go on and go to event bright
dot com online and search for Community Power launch a register.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
All right, there you go, Thank you, sister Kelly. And
once again you can go there or you can call
five one three three five two five to two zero five.
I don't know, but for me it's easy to call.
Then go on that. You're clicking here, you're clicking that,
Just pick up the phone. Call I'll be there. Get

(38:38):
your name, give them your name and you all you
God for me. Now, people who are I guess real
savvy with the network and the phones and all that stuff,
they can do that stuff real quick. For me, I'm
old school. Give me a phone and I'll make the
call and that'll be the end of it. All Right,
let's go to my good friend Mike McCoy doing today.

Speaker 9 (39:01):
Good Lincoln, good, good, hege Lincoln. Will you get the
world out there and tell these people that the Bengals
will not make the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Well, I mean, as long as there's a percentage that
they can make it, you gotta say, hey, there's hope.
You never the strange things always happen. I mean, there
is a chance things can work out that they could
make it. But the chances of that happening is only
one percent, is what I'm saying. There's still the door
is still open, but you got a one percent chance

(39:33):
all those pieces of the puzzle could fall into place.
This person gotta win. This person gotta lose. That person's
gotta beat that person. This person needs to lose three
games in a row. It's so many things there that, yeah,
chances are it won't happen. We don't need to be
in this situation anyway.

Speaker 9 (39:49):
They can't get their foot in the door. Let's long
get through the window. Lincoln, Come on, now, I see
what you're saying. But I got people yesterday. But oh man,
we still got a chance. I don't even want to
hear that no more. But anyway, I'm gonna move on
right quick. Hey, Lincoln, how tall are you?

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Five eight and a half?

Speaker 9 (40:06):
Now, Chelsea Mitchell is taller than you, Lincoln, I caught
this show man, Chelsea, she's taller than you.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Well she when I stood next tour we're about the
same height and we were the same height.

Speaker 9 (40:19):
To look up at her, Lincoln, how do I got
to pick Wayne?

Speaker 4 (40:22):
You got the picture of me standing next to her? Yes,
I do, and I'm looking up.

Speaker 8 (40:29):
Well, you looking at us?

Speaker 9 (40:31):
Ask Kirk Mitchell to show you the pall.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
You know how they do with those press release They
always want the other team to think that you're taller
than what you are. You know when they do that.

Speaker 9 (40:42):
In this you in the studio with it, you side
by side, y'all hug up against each other, you're looking
up better, sent me. I love you. But yeah, she's
taller than you.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
Okay, so about well she maybe five nine? Yeah, it
sounds better to the press if you say I was
starting guard, it's five to nine instead of five days.
You know, what I mean.

Speaker 9 (41:07):
Okay, well you still was looking up to him. That
was a good picture that y'all took together, you know.
And the way he sent me that picture. You know,
if you touch on the picture, it moves.

Speaker 5 (41:19):
You know.

Speaker 9 (41:19):
He was off that day, but they took pictures while
you guys are in the studio, so he sent me
copies of them, you know, and I have to look.
I'm like, can look at that girl? Must be about
five nine five because you was looking up at her.
But anyway, I just wanted to find out, you know,
you know, how tall you was. But yeah, that was
just a joke I was doing there. But anyway, making
thanks taking my call, all.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
Right, all right, Mike McCurry, thanks for your call. Unbelievable. Yeah.
Kelsey Mitchell was on the show this past Saturday. I
mean it's past Sunday yesterday. She was on there. Very
nice young lady. Loves her town of Wyoming, grew up
in while we went to Princeton High School, went to

(42:03):
Ohiose State and now plays for the Indiana Fever and
she carried that team on her back the last part
of the season. When Caitlyn Cark went down. Kelsey Mitchell
stepped up to the plate and carried the team. All right, LG, No,

(42:25):
let me go to news first. We'll come back and
talk to LG and then Agail and others right here
on the Lincoln Wear Show twelve thirty the Buzz Square
Show till one o'clock this afternoon, and we've got the
superintendent coming in a little bit later on. She'll be
here in a few minutes. Talked to her about what's

(42:45):
going on in the Cincinnati Public schools, Seanna Murphy. We'll
be right in here, so stick around for that and
you'll take some calls. We got questions for the superintendent
of the Cincinnati Public Schools. Feel free to call in
when she arrives. LG. What's up?

Speaker 8 (43:03):
They can where what's going on? Not a thing we
ready to fire? Zac Tilly say, what are we ready
to fire? Zacht Tailor?

Speaker 4 (43:12):
You am I ready?

Speaker 3 (43:14):
You know.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
I didn't like some of the calls. They should have
been running the ball while they were passing, and I
hate them. They gotta be more predictable since they had
snow on the ground. Do some misdirection plays and stuff
like that. But they just never do what I want
him to do.

Speaker 8 (43:31):
For the offense did what they're supposed to do. Now,
Joe Burrow. Look, he's never gonna be perfect, all right,
you know, like even yesterday with the two picks. I'm
not even looking at that, okay, I'm looking at the
defense where they go for it on fourth down like
three or four times and get it every time. Yeah, yeah,
like fourth and fifteen.

Speaker 4 (43:50):
I know, I know, it's just you know, you think
a fourth and fifteen or third and fifteen, you're gonna
stop them and they're gonna have to get They always
seem to get that first down.

Speaker 8 (44:03):
I mean four to fifteen. Josh Allen running too the
end zone. For me, I was like, I'm done with
Jack Taylor. Like everybody in the building know that Josh
Allen is potentially the MVP, and you know he run
the ball. He's probably the most productive offensive player that
got beside James Cook who was running on him crazy too.
Oh yeah, fifteen, Josh Allen just took off and wasn't
Nobody was even looking for him to run the boot legs. No,

(44:24):
I know, he just walked in.

Speaker 4 (44:26):
There was a daylight. There was nobody even you know,
around him. I still say, I think the Bengals had
on the wrong cleats yesterday because they just couldn't seem
to get the same kind of traction that the Bills had.

Speaker 14 (44:40):
Root though, that's what that goes out the coach, y'all,
y'all bring both pairs of y'all. Cleach, Yeah, bring some
longer screws for your shoes. Yeah, yeah, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 8 (44:52):
Like it's just basic stuff like that that makes me
know now it is the coaching. At first, I was
in the down. I was like, Nah, I ain't Jack
Tayler's all about the players. Now you look at the scheme,
it's like, nah, this is the coaching. They're always out
of position on defense. They never get a stop where
they need to get a stop. I mean Buffalo got
in the fourth quarter. Yeah, that was it. That's all coaching. Man,

(45:14):
he gotta go. He could take Al Golden back to
know the Dame with him. You know what I mean?
You God got it.

Speaker 7 (45:19):
Well.

Speaker 4 (45:20):
I mean I'm gonna give Al Golden maybe another year
or two because he was giving these players that don't
know what the hell they're doing, and I don't know
if you can coach some of these guys. He needs
to be able to look at a person say, I
want this guy on my team. He does the things
I want my players to do. And let gold and
bring in some people that he wants and we'll see

(45:42):
what happens.

Speaker 8 (45:43):
But but what you're saying is basically you want zacte
of the state because you know the head coach.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
I don't want, you know, I don't want Burrow to
get switched up and all of a sudden, I believe
it like it is for another year anyway, one morning he.

Speaker 8 (45:59):
Only got one where you're up on the deal. Anyway,
we just pay him out, man, you know.

Speaker 15 (46:04):
Don't like to do that.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
They don't like to pay players that are not actually
playing or coaching. So you won't see them get rid
of Zach until next year.

Speaker 8 (46:14):
If he goes, I mean the windows going to close
another year then. And now Joe Rose twenty.

Speaker 4 (46:20):
Year, another injury old, Yeah, I got right.

Speaker 8 (46:22):
T Higgas might get another concussion, he might not play again,
you know what I mean, all types of stuff. Trey
Henderson is out of there. He's not playing again this.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
Year now, I don't think so that was a waste
of money. They could have got two great defensive people
for the price they paid him. That was a waste
of money.

Speaker 8 (46:38):
Gave him sixteen million up front to play this year.
He get hurt. He said, no, I'm coolcause I ain't
give him no contract next year. Yeah, he played them. Yep,
sounds like that's crazy, man. But hey, hey that Xavier Xaviers.
You'll see. Hey, you was at the Santa Clara game too,
because I was at that game and I said, you
want to Yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (46:56):
Was at the Santa Claire game. They looked horrible, he looks.

Speaker 8 (46:59):
But you know what, Claire won twenty games like the
last four or five years. So there were game competition.
And you know they got a guy from the G
League that played for him too. Yeah, well they smoked David.
But like we's Butler gotta get fired. I want all
this to snake coaches fire.

Speaker 4 (47:14):
Well, let's see if we can get into the tournament
this year.

Speaker 8 (47:17):
Let's see what No, no, no shot in hell.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
You fire people too quick for me. You don't know
what Donald Trump, I always want to fire somebody.

Speaker 8 (47:29):
Hey, what's Buller been there? Like this is fifth year?

Speaker 4 (47:31):
All right, look I gotta go.

Speaker 8 (47:33):
LG. I asked that question for me.

Speaker 4 (47:36):
What was the question? What was the question?

Speaker 9 (47:38):
You a text, you read it, asked it.

Speaker 4 (47:40):
Now, just ask that question there.

Speaker 8 (47:42):
Okay, So the question is going to be this, what
are the standards that the superintendent is going to be
held to in terms of reading and math because there's
a percentage that she has to hit. Where is she
at now halfway through the school year and does she
put on hitting her goals?

Speaker 4 (47:57):
Okay, all right, there you go. She's listen right now
and welcome to the show. Seana Murphy, Superintendent of Cincinnati
Public Schools.

Speaker 16 (48:05):
Thank you, mister Lincoln. How are you today? I'm doing
that is awesome.

Speaker 4 (48:11):
Now you heard that question, might as well go ahead
and answer the question.

Speaker 16 (48:15):
Yeah, So the school board has held me to five
goals in particular. One is around third grade reading, another
is algebra one, third is sixth grade gap closing, a
fourth is on adding more credentials around career and technical education,
and the fifth one is creating a new strategic plan
for the school district. Our current strategic plan is sunsetting

(48:38):
the twenty six twenty seven school year. Many of the
goals that we have already met, and so starting in January,
will be starting to launch our new strategic plan process
for the next four years, moving the district forward as
it relates to where are we So the third grade
goal and the algebra goal are related to the state
report card. That testing is done in the spring at

(49:01):
our elementary and high schools, and so we are working
really hard monitoring instruction to make sure we're going to
hit those goals as well as the third one, the
sixth grade gap closing credentialing.

Speaker 17 (49:14):
We are excited about that.

Speaker 16 (49:15):
That is a body of work that I'm extremely proud
of having served as principal at Woodwork Career Technical High
School for eleven years. So we're looking at adding some credentials.
We're looking at expanding some of our credentials in terms
of what the kids are asking for. This year, we
did add an entrepreneurship program at Woodwork Career Technical High School.
We want to look at how we can make that

(49:35):
district wide, similar to what we did with the Zoo
Academy this current school year.

Speaker 4 (49:40):
Okay, now, how's the third grade reading going? People always
watch that. Yeah, that's a good indicator.

Speaker 16 (49:47):
So we are looking for volunteer tutors to tutor for
an eight to ten week period of time starting about
mid January leading up into the spring testing. About an
hour a day, an hour week. If there are people
who are interested in doing that, we will train you,
We will provide you the materials, we will give you
the space. You will have a consistent student to work with.

(50:09):
We would love to have support from the community. If
someone is willing to be a volunteer third grade reading to.

Speaker 4 (50:16):
You, there you go. If you want to be a tutor? Okay,
how do they do it? Where do they go?

Speaker 18 (50:20):
Again?

Speaker 16 (50:20):
You can reach out to sin Say Public Schools on
our website www dot cpssh K twelve dot org. It
will take you to how do you volunteer? You can
reach out directly by calling five one three three six
three zero zero zero zero okay.

Speaker 4 (50:38):
And you know it's always great when people they lot
to complain. They love to complain, but when you ask
them to step up and volunteer and help yes, so
they won't have to complain, then you gotta you know,
kind of.

Speaker 17 (50:48):
Like what you do every year you start the school
year out.

Speaker 16 (50:50):
With us visiting the schools, and we definitely appreciate that.
So if there are people who do, sincerely you want
to help us, there is space available.

Speaker 4 (51:00):
The renewal levee passed and I know, you got to
be happy about that, So how does that change the
scope book?

Speaker 16 (51:06):
Very happy about that, Very happy about that, Lincoln, and
very grateful to the voters of Cincinnati. My understanding is
we passed that levee by a record margin, and so
we're definitely appreciative. We have ten years, fifty eight million
dollars that is really focused in on our youngest learners,
our preschoolers, and we do that in partnership with Cincinnati

(51:29):
Preschool Promise. So again, Cincinni Public Schools cannot do this
without the community. The community support and ten more years
and that Levey is good to go.

Speaker 4 (51:39):
Are you looking at this student from the Preschool Promise?
How many years ago was that when that started?

Speaker 16 (51:45):
I believe in twenty sixteen, So this was the third renewal.
And so yes, we do monitor the young people who
are a part of preschool and we can show that
there is evidence and data that supports they do better
instructionally if they are attending preschool. We do encourage families

(52:05):
to enroll their child three four years old into a
preschool program.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
Yes, yes, it always helps at the kindergarten teacher don't
have to start from scratch with these kids, it slows
down the whole class. Absolutely have to do that. So
what else are we in store for any changes in
the twenty twenty six that's coming forward.

Speaker 16 (52:24):
Well, so we are entering our budget season and you
just mentioned our renewal levee. Keeping in mind that is
a renewal and so it's not new money generated, and
so we will be working through We've already started, w'en
we're working through what our budget will be of this
upcoming school year.

Speaker 17 (52:40):
The good news is we don't have to.

Speaker 16 (52:41):
Wait for the state because their budgets are done on
a two year basis. We're not sure what the Feds
may do or may not do, so that'll be.

Speaker 17 (52:51):
Interesting to watch.

Speaker 16 (52:52):
We usually get those title dollar allocations July one, and
so all of that will play a part into building
the bud for the twenty six twenty seventh school year.

Speaker 4 (53:02):
Man, I tell you I wouldn't keep my fingers I
mean I would keep my fingers crossed on what's going
to happen on the federal level.

Speaker 17 (53:08):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (53:09):
It's on shaky ground.

Speaker 17 (53:10):
That's right.

Speaker 16 (53:11):
And it's not even a Department of Education. There are
several departments that we watch because they do have an
impact on our schools and our children and our families
as a whole.

Speaker 4 (53:22):
Now, how do do you ever, how the parent teacher
I guess meetings going to people still? Are they do
you have to beg them to come in and talk
to the teacher or are they getting good numbers when
they have the parent teacher conference.

Speaker 16 (53:36):
We continue to encourage parents and their involvement and engagement
participation in since public schools, specifically school by school, but
also on the district wide level. So we do have
a parent Champion, mss Lronda Thomas, who helps to coordinate
and make sure all of our schools have parent teacher
organizations because we do know parent involvement makes all the

(53:56):
difference in the world to the success of a young person.
And we're partners in this work. We can't do it alone.
We appreciate and we need the support of the parents,
and we want to know how they feel good, bad
and ugly when things are going on and give us
an opportunity to make any course corrections that.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
May be needed. Okay, well, I mean yeah, parents can
get involved. That's fifty percent of the battle right there.
The parents are involved and the teacher knows that they
can call the parents at any point, and that's right.
You know, the parents say, hate call me if there's
anything parents need to do that. I just don't see
enough of that nowadays. Like back in the day we
used to. You know, your parents would definitely be there

(54:35):
at every parent teacher conference. But I see a lot
of parents. Maybe they're working and stuff and just can't
make it, but I don't know, they need to try
to get off to come to those men.

Speaker 16 (54:44):
And some have multiple kids in different schools for a
variety of reasons, and parent engagement looks different in twenty
twenty five. And so we encourage parent engagement by making
sure there's a place for their child to do their
homework at night, ensuring that project are done in a
timely manner, checking their focus accounts to make sure that
their grades are good, their attendances as the parent thinks

(55:07):
it should be. In the same it's true for behaviors.

Speaker 4 (55:09):
Okay. Now, the Taff High School, Indian Hill in the
situation with the damage, and they found out there was
some damage before Taft arrived, but there was extra damage
that you ever did the investigation ever proved that Taft
actually did something or nothing at all.

Speaker 16 (55:25):
What I would like to tell you is I am
extremely proud of the Taft Senators. They had an amazing
football season, and I'm appreciative to that, the coach and
his entire staff. And so where I would like to
keep the focus is on celebrating what an amazing season
they had.

Speaker 17 (55:44):
Those student athletes performed well on and off.

Speaker 19 (55:47):
Of that the year.

Speaker 17 (55:48):
Feel they had a great year.

Speaker 16 (55:50):
We are done with our investigation and we're moving forward.

Speaker 4 (55:53):
Okay, that's good to hear. Okay, it's still out an investigation, then, okay,
I'll take that.

Speaker 17 (56:00):
We're done with the investigation.

Speaker 16 (56:01):
We're done with the investigation is over, and we're moving
forward encouraging those young people.

Speaker 17 (56:08):
You know they some of them.

Speaker 16 (56:09):
When I spoke to the players, We're concerned about what
miss Murphie, what will this mean for my college admission?
I've been accepted to colleges. It's going to be a problem. No,
it will not be a problem. It will not be
a problem. We want to keep them encouraged, we want
to keep them lifted up, and we want to keep
them moving forward.

Speaker 4 (56:27):
All right, now, what about teachers. You're going to have
a teacher recruiting period, Yes.

Speaker 16 (56:33):
Yes, yes, absolutely, so we'll be coming upon our teaching
recruitment season. We also look on an ongoing base if
people are interested in being pair of professionals in Cincinnati
public schools that used to be known as a classroom aid.
We always look for security assistance. We also always look
for a student dining services personnel. That's an ongoing basis.

(56:57):
If people are looking for full time employment, we do
have something available. But the teacher piec Yes will be
recruiting and probably looking very highly for math science special
education teachers in particular.

Speaker 4 (57:10):
Okay, all right, and I mean you always have a
big event every spring. I think it's normally done in
the spring.

Speaker 16 (57:16):
Done normally done in the spring. I appreciate your remembering that,
and so usually we do it out at Woodwork Come
Here Technical High School. I do not have the date
for that with me, but I definitely will send it
your way, and I appreciate you promoting that.

Speaker 4 (57:30):
Yeah, yeah, I think it's a good event. And you
always need more teachers. It's like police departments need more police.
Everybody's looking for everybody. You can't find people to work nowadays,
and that's a big complain for everybody. But I'm glad
to see you put on a big recruiting campaign to
get good teachers into the school SYS.

Speaker 17 (57:48):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (57:49):
All right, so let's see anything else. I'm trying to
think that we miss anything this time around.

Speaker 16 (57:55):
Well, we definitely have our winter break coming up, and
we encourage everyone to take a positive advantage of our
winter break. From our faculty and staff to our students,
please take time for yourselves to be around friends and
family and caregivers. We come back to school Tuesday, January

(58:15):
the sixth. The last day is December the nineteenth. That's
also the end of the second quarter, so students, make
sure you're checking focus and make sure you have all
your assignments in on time.

Speaker 17 (58:26):
Have a good solid end too the quarter.

Speaker 4 (58:28):
And that's Tuesday, January sixth, that's when you return.

Speaker 17 (58:31):
That is correct.

Speaker 4 (58:32):
Nice little vacation, nice vacation. Yes, now, house thing going
down on down at the Fountain Square, at the Government Square.

Speaker 17 (58:39):
I mean, I think things have been pretty peaceful.

Speaker 16 (58:41):
As you know, there is a lot of community support
rallied around making sure that our downtown area and other
transit areas are safe, not only for our students but
for Cincinnatians in general. We are very happy with the
work that is being done, and a pre she ate
the work that's being done. And I think the last

(59:04):
year or so, I don't know that there's been a
lot of noise and so that is because there is
adult presence there and carrying adult presence there for the
young people.

Speaker 4 (59:14):
All Right, I know I have to ask you. I
know you can't answer, but I have to ask you. Anyway,
the kid who was tied up and transported from one
school to another, Yeah, what what's going on with that?

Speaker 19 (59:26):
Now?

Speaker 16 (59:27):
That one I will continue to tell you at this
point it is still being investigated, not just by c
in that public schools, but I can't tell you by
CPS that that is continuing unfortunately.

Speaker 4 (59:37):
Okay, all right, unbelievable. And please when you hear of
any bullying, tell your principles to check into that because
they always say the parents always say, well, we told
him that he was being bullied, but they didn't listen.
I hear that more than I want to hear.

Speaker 16 (59:51):
Yeah, so you know, Also, families can go to our
website and report bullying that it will go directly to
a school social worker who is an expert in helping
to handle and work through bully situations. It's not tolerated
in sincen public schools, and there are mechanisms for young
people to get support with it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
All right, sounds good to me, as usual. We'll see
you again next month.

Speaker 17 (01:00:14):
Thanks for having us, Thank you for coming.

Speaker 4 (01:00:16):
We appreciate you coming talking to the people, absolutely appreciate it.
All right, let's take a break and then we'll come back.
Twelve thirty. The buzz this summer. Yes, I haven't seen
that band perform, and I don't know when. Yeah, all right,
five one, three, seven, four nine, twelve thirty. I know

(01:00:37):
Farroh called for the guests, but we didn't have time
to get to him. So Pharaohs, we'll get you in
there next to test. You'll be back next month, and
I'm sure your question will be the same. She'll be
back next month, so you can get it in then,
I promise you. All right, let's go to uh miss Nettie.
Oh you know what. We we've got to call miss

(01:00:57):
Luise to today, Terrence. I think she can't dial out
on her phone for some reason, and she's been trying
to call but she can't get in for some reason.
Miss Nettie, how are you?

Speaker 20 (01:01:10):
I am doing great. Greeties to you, Oh god, I
just want to say this to you, Lincoln, the man
of power.

Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Hi.

Speaker 20 (01:01:20):
And to sharing where the lady of walk and talk
our first lady.

Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
Yes.

Speaker 20 (01:01:24):
And to the real tearance hot on the ones and twos.
And to my people out there, if you take Miss
Nettie anywhere on Miss Melvin. Please, if we got something
to give you, we'll give it to you. I want
to Hey, I don't want to ride for free, but

(01:01:44):
if you're going my way, please please please accept whatever
we have to give you.

Speaker 11 (01:01:52):
Okay.

Speaker 20 (01:01:53):
And to the Bengals, you win something, you lose some baby,
Now get up.

Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
All right, tough coach, You're tough coach, Get.

Speaker 11 (01:02:04):
Up all right.

Speaker 20 (01:02:05):
Lincoln and Melvine said hello to you, okay, all right,
all right, and you have a blessing.

Speaker 4 (01:02:11):
Frog, I said, go ahead and jump jump to it,
all right, all right, thanks for your counting, all right,
Frog needs to jump jump jump to it. Oh boy, unbelievable.
All right. Five one, three, seven, nine, twelve thirty. We

(01:02:32):
were talking about the county and the city has to
pay eight million dollars to the people who were arrested
during the curfew back in what year was that Oh,

(01:02:52):
what year was that? Twenty the twenty twenty one maybe
I'm not sure what year was Brionna Taylor, that whole
event and the George Floyd situation, and they got to

(01:03:16):
junk out the cash. Four hundred think about four hundred
people who were arrested, and they settled in court. I
guess settled in court. It was a class action lawsuit

(01:03:43):
and they eventually settled. I don't know how much that
will be. I didn't break it down, but how much
would that be? For eight you got eight point one million,
and I think the lawyers get some money, but about
an average of what each person will get. I don't know.
Somebody will figure that one out, but they have to

(01:04:06):
be happy a little pocket change just before Christmas. Yes,
all right, let's go to uh.

Speaker 15 (01:04:17):
Mike, what's up, bulldog? How you doing?

Speaker 4 (01:04:20):
I'm doing great now. You know the buzz and the
and the wiz and one on the boy. We have
our own toy drive, so we can't let you put
a damper on our toy drive. With your toy drive.
You do understand that, don't you.

Speaker 15 (01:04:34):
Well, you know ours is not it's a nonprofit, okay,
so it's our We allowed nonprofit.

Speaker 13 (01:04:40):
We don't get.

Speaker 4 (01:04:42):
We don't get we don't get a profit on the
toys that people bring me. Go ahead, let's real quick,
let's hear it real quick.

Speaker 15 (01:04:50):
My kids just having a toy drive this Saturday, and
so at thirty four to twelve Clifton Avenue at the
Clifton Wrec Center. And this is our fifteenth year, Lincoln,
and we represent we represent eight schools in the district.
So you know, our toy drives go directly to the students. Okay.

(01:05:13):
And I told you last year when we talked about this,
I said, the more we have toy drives and schools
supply drives, the better it is for our kids. Because
they're hurting out here.

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Man.

Speaker 15 (01:05:26):
We have to have a lot now for homeless kids. Yes, yes,
I remember we talked about that. Yes, you know our
kids are suffering, man. But you know we're all trying
to do the same thing, Lincoln, all right, and you
know how that goes. You know, we're going to have
food and drink and all that. But every year we

(01:05:48):
collect over four thousand toys.

Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
All right, give us a time and date. When is
it again? Real quick?

Speaker 15 (01:05:55):
It's at thirty four to twelve Clifton Avenue, Clifton Recreation
Center from six to ten. It's Saturday.

Speaker 4 (01:06:03):
All right, thanks for your colls. Ok, all right, okay,
there you go. We'll let you hit it and quit it,
you know. But I'll be down in the lobby on
Wednesday collecting toys, so you can drop them by here
at the lobby. Come in, say hi, give you a
shout out. You got a business, you're donating toys. Bring

(01:06:23):
them down. I'll give your business a shout.

Speaker 6 (01:06:25):
Out, and I will not be down in the lobby. No,
you won't be up here.

Speaker 4 (01:06:30):
We'd have to have extra security if you were down there,
because there's some people on Facebook lide that get so
upset when you hit that boy until after you.

Speaker 6 (01:06:39):
Really like that?

Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
Yeah, like that. Let's take a break. We'll come back
twelve thirty the buzz walk station. It's Link and where
till one o'clock this afternoon, coming up in one riven
hole sharpening, keeping it real and yeah, don't forget get
your toys ready to bring down here on Wednesday. Wednesday.

(01:07:08):
This is coming Wednesday. I'll be downstairs, so you just
pull your car out there in one of the vacant
spots and run right in and run right back out
and you'll be good to go. We'll give you a
shout out. I'll be there from ten to one. We've

(01:07:28):
got a big area that you'll be able to just
put the toys in, and then I'll be right inside
the door on the lob in the lobby and make
sure you do that. You got between now and Wednesday
that go buy Walmart or somewhere and get a toy.
I won't say Target, I'll say Walmart Target. Yeah, you

(01:07:51):
know the deal there. But yeah, so folks looking forward
to seeing you. You've got a bit business. This will
be a great time to advertise your business. Just bring
the toy down and we'll let you give you business
a shout out. Yes, all right, let's go to Lady C.

(01:08:17):
How you doing. I'm fine, I'm hanging in there. What's
on your mind?

Speaker 5 (01:08:22):
First things First, when you were talking about the class
action lawsuit being settled, Yes, that's a good thing. Those
people were definitely in need of a settlement because they
did go through some torment. Yeah, from the city outside

(01:08:47):
in the cold.

Speaker 4 (01:08:48):
Well I don't know whether it was cold. I mean
this happened it was during the summer, so I don't
know how cold it was.

Speaker 5 (01:08:58):
Well, I'm glad it's did he settle with that? But
first I want to pay homage to Yeah, miss Sonia Massey.
That was settled. The guy got sentenced. He's going to prison,
and I was just glad to hear that for her, Yes,
she deserved that. I mean to just shoot her in

(01:09:21):
the face is unconscionable. Just to even watching it is hard.
But and then I want to also say just remembering
giving how much to mister James Baldwin and MegaR Evers
and Tamir Rice just some people that need to be remembered,

(01:09:41):
never forgotten. So yes, I have a question. Were you
impressed with the expense of downtown?

Speaker 4 (01:09:50):
Uh what do you mean? What events?

Speaker 5 (01:09:52):
I mean the way that the city is looking and
oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:09:57):
Yeah it's nice. Everything is nice down there.

Speaker 8 (01:10:00):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:10:01):
And I have a question now, I think before you
answer this. Is it impossible to move the Black Walk
of Fame to down to the convention area where all
guests visitors will be able to see that?

Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
Is that in a word? No, So it's impossible. It
won't happen.

Speaker 13 (01:10:25):
I mean, is it?

Speaker 5 (01:10:26):
Is it just.

Speaker 15 (01:10:31):
Do it?

Speaker 5 (01:10:32):
Or is it just the cost.

Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
Of Yes, the cost, and it's just nowhere. It just
wouldn't work anywhere else other than where it is now.
It's just got to stay there, simple as that.

Speaker 5 (01:10:45):
Okay, yeah, right. I would love to see it move
to about Benson Center. We're all visitors and people coming
to the city and that would be nice.

Speaker 4 (01:10:55):
I mean, I think the Banks is a good spot.
A lot of people come through that area there, and uh,
I think it's okay there. I think it's perfect where
it is.

Speaker 5 (01:11:04):
Yes, Okay, I don't, but.

Speaker 4 (01:11:06):
Okay, okay, it would be a perfect spot for somebody
to take you on a date.

Speaker 5 (01:11:15):
You are stuck on that.

Speaker 4 (01:11:17):
We're gonna get you a date.

Speaker 5 (01:11:19):
Why do I need a date?

Speaker 4 (01:11:22):
Well, you don't. I guess you don't.

Speaker 5 (01:11:24):
I really don't. I mean, I meet guys all the time,
so it's always up to me if I want to
pursue that, and chances are I'm just I don't have
time for that, you know, all that old silly stuff
that people want to do, and I don't have time. Exactly.

Speaker 12 (01:11:48):
I'm boring.

Speaker 5 (01:11:48):
I'm very I'm very boring. So I just don't have
manage to put into.

Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
Maybe that's the problem. Then maybe you're just too boring for.

Speaker 5 (01:11:58):
The Yeah, I just don't have time to listen to
all their nonsense.

Speaker 4 (01:12:05):
All their aches and pains.

Speaker 5 (01:12:06):
Yes, the guys out, I.

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
Got out and all this stuff.

Speaker 8 (01:12:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:12:14):
Relation, don't be shaming that relation is beautiful.

Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
There's cracked yeah, over, I know. Relations is a beautiful thing. Yes,
when you have the time to put into this, I
just don't want to put into that. I just, you know,
just trying to take care of my business.

Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
But I'm gonna make it my business to have you
a good date. Somebody's gonna be a good date. You're
gonna come back and say, oh, I loved it. Everything
was great the last when you set me on.

Speaker 5 (01:12:48):
We know how that ended, Yeah, don't. I don't know
if I'm would take your You couldn't get any worse, right, right, man,
I tell you you can only get better because that
I mean, that was your friend though.

Speaker 4 (01:13:05):
So well, he's a member of the Lincoln Ware Walking Club.
So I just wanted to hook him up. I wanted
to hook him up.

Speaker 5 (01:13:12):
I think he was already hooked up. I think he
just thought I was an easy lad, you know, so
he found out different.

Speaker 4 (01:13:20):
All right, it's getting cold out there. You need somebody
to spoon with, Lady S.

Speaker 21 (01:13:24):
I do.

Speaker 8 (01:13:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:13:28):
Oh why can't I just have the covers. It's just
rustler cover around a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:13:33):
There's nothing better than a warm body. Then you got
to have a warm body to spoon up to you.

Speaker 5 (01:13:40):
Well, you work on that for me, and I don't talk.

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
To you, all right, Lady C. Thanks for your called. Unbelievable,
unbelievable all right? Five one, three, seven, four, nine, twelve thirty.
Uh we right, Miss Louise is here. Miss Louise, I
hear you. Your phone is not working. You couldn't die
out or something.

Speaker 9 (01:14:01):
I don't know what time.

Speaker 22 (01:14:03):
I'm just want you know I'm not doing well. We'll
getting someone to come in.

Speaker 12 (01:14:08):
To help me.

Speaker 22 (01:14:09):
Well, I want you to know that I've been trying
to call you, but sharing calls by every day. Yes,
And she said, well, I'm gonna get linked in to call.

Speaker 4 (01:14:18):
Yes, and uh so, what's wrong with your phone?

Speaker 22 (01:14:24):
I don't know even I called your on the cell
phone the other day. It just said you cannot get
through and do that and do that on my other phone.

Speaker 4 (01:14:33):
Oh boy, I don't know somebody, I don't know what's
going on.

Speaker 22 (01:14:36):
And guess what the other day, I got a bill.
They said my phone bill was four hundred some down.

Speaker 4 (01:14:44):
See something going on there. I don't know. Your son
needs to look at your finances there and see what's
going on.

Speaker 22 (01:14:52):
Well, we we make shure it, my daughter. I'll make
sure that it's great.

Speaker 8 (01:14:57):
But you don't.

Speaker 4 (01:14:58):
There's no way you're supposed to have a four hundred
dollar her cell phone bill.

Speaker 11 (01:15:02):
I know it was.

Speaker 22 (01:15:04):
It was my home phone.

Speaker 4 (01:15:07):
Your home phone shouldn't be four hundred dollars.

Speaker 22 (01:15:10):
No, I know it, but I know we got They
said it was where I had you know where somebody
went into my checking account? Yes, yes, yeah, but you
know what. Now, there's a minister with my church, Minisac.
She always called and pray for me all the time
and to tell me how much she missed me. But

(01:15:30):
nobody else do, no, boy, but I but I always
see that at my tie get there and whatever they are,
I do.

Speaker 4 (01:15:37):
All right, there you go.

Speaker 22 (01:15:38):
But that's okay. There are other minister's a lot of
other ministers that call.

Speaker 4 (01:15:43):
And pray for Okay, well, I know, uh, missus Lynch
and Damon Lynch there they're on the case. They're always
on the case.

Speaker 5 (01:15:51):
I hope.

Speaker 4 (01:15:52):
So yes, all right, okay, missus Louise, I hadn't heard
from you. And then they said, well, she says she
tried to cover her phone won't work, and so I
figured we would call you, miss Louise.

Speaker 22 (01:16:04):
Okay, Lincoln out now, there's some slush shover here. I
gotta get it out of the box. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:16:10):
I think I'm stocked up pretty good so far. I
haven't had any lately, so I have to go in there.
I open my freeze up and let it throw out
a little bit and dig into it. All right, ok okay,
by all, thanks for your call.

Speaker 22 (01:16:24):
Okay, brother, all right?

Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
Eating her slushes, well, it'll give you a buzz pretty much.
Let me tell you she pours a whole lot of
liquor in there. Let me tell you you have more
liquor than ice. Let's move along. Five one, three, seven, four, nine,
twelve thirty. I want to get your comments on the

(01:16:49):
Hamlin County Cincinnati City of Cincinnati settlement, uh, the Breonna
Taylor George Floyd demonstrations in twenty twenty. That was the year.
Two twenty was a year and John Cranleigh was the president.

(01:17:10):
He put a curfew out throughout the city, and a
whole lot happened. There was a class action lawsuit they
settled out of court eight million, and I think the

(01:17:31):
plaintiffs get around what was it, twelve k, twelve thousand.
So it all all ended okay for everybody. I guess
they had a taken it to court. The city may
have had to pay a lot more. So let's just
cut our losses and move on, all right. Oh yeah.

(01:17:57):
It also came with some recommendations for the sheriffs and
the Cincinnati police to do if ever something like this
happens again or something like that. So there you have it.
Let's take a break, we'll come back. Twelve thirty, The
Buzz thirty Lincoln, weear with you. Let's go to rain Ray.
How you doing.

Speaker 11 (01:18:15):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (01:18:16):
What's up?

Speaker 11 (01:18:16):
Lincoln?

Speaker 4 (01:18:17):
Nothing much?

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
You know you killed me. You more obsessed with Lady
C's love life than the republichers are with Epstein.

Speaker 4 (01:18:24):
I just want to see Lady C go out on
a date and have a good time. That's our well.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Link a couple of things. Let me let me straighten
my stop out.

Speaker 4 (01:18:33):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
He called in and said, people don't know who Donald
Trump was. You know, people who don't vote. I think
everybody knows that Donald Trump is a racist, a racist,
uh and an insurrectionist and he don't pay taxes. Don't
everybody pretty much know that?

Speaker 4 (01:18:48):
Well apparently they don't. They voted for him, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
But they voted for him knowing that he was that, So,
I mean they knew who he was, they still voted
for him. But Mostafa said a lot of people don't
know who he is, and I'm telling the Mustafa, everybody
know who Trump is. Who Trump is, you know, that's
that's no secret. He's a liar. You know, he cheated
on all his wives with porn stars.

Speaker 11 (01:19:12):
I mean, that's who he is.

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
And so my thing is is the people that support him.
And watching Marthori Taylor Green on sixty Minutes, you know
she cut ties Woodie because she got she got death threats, right,
And it was okay when other people were getting death
threats because she was still supporting me. Now that she's

(01:19:35):
getting it, you know, it's not okay. So these Republicans
who who's were pretty much tired of Trump and is
leaving him, they're such hypocrits, you know when it happens
to them, right, you know now the right.

Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
Yep, that's true, you know, And the same with the Somalians,
saying with the Somalians and matter of fact, hold on, ray,
we gonna let you hear from which one we're gonna
hear from first? With Somalian? Is this one?

Speaker 19 (01:20:01):
This the guy who.

Speaker 4 (01:20:02):
Voted for Trump?

Speaker 6 (01:20:04):
Well, I just got the whole thing in one clip. Okay,
let's let's listen before we go. It is over three minutes,
So do you want to keep on home?

Speaker 4 (01:20:11):
We'll keep him on home and we'll have two minutes
left with him when we come back.

Speaker 6 (01:20:15):
Trump is not going to agree with everything that I
have to say, nor do I agree with everything he
has to say, but I fundamentally believe he is.

Speaker 11 (01:20:22):
The safest bet for our country moving forward.

Speaker 4 (01:20:25):
That's a smiling Democrats. But you left us because the
left left us.

Speaker 21 (01:20:32):
Join the right. Vote for Trump twenty twenty four, and
please go out and vote, because voting for Trump without
soldiers is giving him a failure. So please vote, and
please go vote for the Republican Party this time. Thank
you so much.

Speaker 19 (01:20:54):
I hear they ripped off Somalians ripped off that state
for billions of dollars billions every year billions of dollars.

Speaker 18 (01:21:07):
And they contribute nothing. The welfare is like eighty eight percent.
They contribute nothing. I don't want them in our country.
I'll be honest with you, Okay, So.

Speaker 19 (01:21:17):
We would say, oh, that's not politically correct.

Speaker 4 (01:21:19):
I don't care.

Speaker 18 (01:21:20):
I don't want them in our country. Their country is
no good for a reason. Their country stakes, and we
don't want them in our country. We're going to go
the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage into
our country. Elan Omar is garbage. She's garbage, Her friends
are garbage. These are people that work. These are people
that say, let's go, come on, let's make this place great.

(01:21:41):
These are people that do nothing but complain. They complain,
and from where they came from, they got nothing. You know,
if they came from paradise and they said this isn't paradise,
but when they come from hell and.

Speaker 4 (01:21:56):
They complain and do nothing. But we don't want them
in our contract. Let them go back to where they
came from.

Speaker 16 (01:22:04):
And fiction.

Speaker 23 (01:22:10):
Trump is calling for the deportation for Somali people, and
he is sending ice into the Somali community. Black people,
you might want to sit this one out, even though
you can look at the Somali people and see that
they have black brown skin. You cannot tell them that.
They say they don't look like black people. The culture
is different. They don't want anything to do with blackness
in black culture. They do not with black people and

(01:22:32):
they get mad if you call them black. And the
sad part is this is deeply rooted. They are taught
in the churches in their communities. Just take a listen
to how they talk about black people.

Speaker 4 (01:22:44):
Most of the people that we meet, specially African Americans,
they don't even know their fathers. They don't even know
their fathers. It was all of them were most of
them were the product of one night stole, one night stime.
They will tell you, I don't know my father.

Speaker 15 (01:23:01):
Well, who named you? Whose naming you carry?

Speaker 21 (01:23:03):
What my mother chose his name for me?

Speaker 23 (01:23:05):
I don't know?

Speaker 8 (01:23:06):
Is that what we want for our oma?

Speaker 21 (01:23:09):
Some of these are not black.

Speaker 4 (01:23:11):
Let me explain why.

Speaker 23 (01:23:12):
Looking at me right now, am I black?

Speaker 4 (01:23:13):
I'm literally brown? I'm literally proud.

Speaker 21 (01:23:15):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (01:23:18):
Are you guys black? Are having some people back? I
would concern we are Somali's not black.

Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
There I said it.

Speaker 4 (01:23:28):
Somalis are not black. There's difference between African and black.

Speaker 23 (01:23:32):
Now, I'm not saying all Somalis feel like this, and
I'm not saying that what Trump is doing is right.
All I'm saying is I'm gonna just sit this one out.

Speaker 15 (01:23:39):
What would you say to the president if you were
standing here right now.

Speaker 21 (01:23:42):
Mister president, we campaign for you, We are hoping you,
we'll see hoping you. Please differentiate between good, bad.

Speaker 4 (01:23:49):
And even Yeah, boy so man so, and now they're
they're crying now, But are we feeling sorry for should
we feel sorry for the Somalis? I don't think they
would feel sorry for us, Not the way that guy
was talking. I don't know he I don't think he
speaks for every Somalia out there. But still I don't

(01:24:16):
feel sorry for her. That's just my point.

Speaker 6 (01:24:19):
I've worked with a lot of those folks, not here
but at other jobs, and yes, they're very arrogant and
they don't think that we are they They definitely try
to think that they're better than we are, you know, And.

Speaker 4 (01:24:35):
It's sad, but hey, it is.

Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
What it is.

Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Yeah, Ray, look at the first clip at that he
played was before the elections, because I think the guy
said in the twenty four elections before. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
so and then Trump Trump's speech was recently right, yes,
so the two didn't correlate, Well.

Speaker 1 (01:24:56):
Yes they did.

Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
I mean that was now he's they try to get
people to vote for Trump, and now look he turned
his back on him.

Speaker 2 (01:25:05):
So so so the first clip from Amalian telling you
to vote for Trump, it was the that was the
same guy that said voth for Trump. Yes, okay, the
same guy, yes, okay, But Lincoln, it still doesn't matter
because society, white folks, mainstream sees you as black. They

(01:25:27):
don't get No, they're not going to get any special
treatment because there's Somalians. You know, the people still consider
them black.

Speaker 4 (01:25:36):
The white American Yeah, would consider them that, but they
don't consider themselves that though.

Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
Yeah yeah, but they don't have a say so in life.
You know, let me ask you this. You never heard
in sports from football terms a spy.

Speaker 4 (01:25:51):
Yeah, they needed a spy on Kelly for that game yesterday.
They didn't have one on him.

Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
They didn't have one the whole damn game.

Speaker 22 (01:25:58):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Yeah, there's no said why the Bengals can't tackle. And
at some point you gotta blame Joe Burrows throwing two
straight and well, I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:26:06):
It happens to quarterbacks all the time. But yeah, I mean, yeah,
he'll take blame. But still, the defense couldn't make the
stops when they needed to.

Speaker 2 (01:26:17):
No, no, they and they can't tackle the offense.

Speaker 4 (01:26:21):
Rolled up thirty four point? Was it thirty four? I
think I'm not sure. Thirty thirty four points and the
defense couldn't stop the Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:26:32):
Yeah, And it's the first time I agree with LG.
LG is more informed than sports than he is in politics,
you know, and I agree when he at some point
you just gotta let the coaches go and start over,
because I actually think that when Burrow's contract run out,
he's gone.

Speaker 4 (01:26:50):
Well we'll wait, you know, see, I gotta go. Ray,
thanks for you call. Let's break the news. We'll come
back on the other side. Twelve thirty The Buzz
