Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hustler a Hustle. It's the Morning Hustle with Loriel and
Kyles and Tilia.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Put up, y'all, welcome to another edition of the Morning
Hustle Show. Loriel, good morning, Good morning, alter Walker was good?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
What's going on? Say Antillion? I'm here man.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
We back at it once again. We're gonna have a
good time today. Yo, we're reminiscing a little bit.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Man.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Remember some of those amazing TV shows used to watching,
like MTV and other networks back in the day. We're
gonna go back and make a nice little list of
some of the ones that stood out during our childhood
and our young adolescens, if you will, all right.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Plus, Load's gonna hold us down with the LoDown. What
you got?
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Well, it looks like jay Z is stepping out with
another lady. I cannot believe this. We'll talk about that. Plus,
who's the best rapper from La Game is weighing in
on that. The best album of the year, according to
Roland Stones, is this and do Blueface and his Mama
got something going on like a little more than what
(00:59):
we think.
Speaker 5 (00:59):
We'll talk all about it coming up in the Lowdown.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Plus we're gonna do some HBCU news in the news
you could use the lots going on and some of
these schools are gonna go ahead to head. We'll break
down all of the details a little bit later on
in the show. Right now, it's all about Kyle's message
of today a mine.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Here's some quick inspiration. It starts your day. I'll check
you Kyle's message of the day.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Kyle's message today today is take pride in pushing forward.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Take pride in it.
Speaker 6 (01:28):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
A lot of times, yes, we all are in a
situation where we're trying to make things happen. But depending
on how prideful you are, a lot of times it
depends on how much effort you're gonna put into it.
You have to take pride into doing certain things. They say,
do everything to the best of your ability, whether it's
cleaning out the bathroom or running a multimillion dollar company.
You know what I'm saying. Whatever the case may be,
(01:49):
whether it's cooking a meal or you know, reheating some
food out the microwave, whatever, it doesn't really matter what
it is. The point is you have to attack everything
with a mindset of I'm gonna do the best that
I can with the situation that I got. You gotta
take pride in it right without pride, And I'm not
talking about foolish pride.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Some people have foolish pride. They knowing too much and they're.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Over evaluating situations and making it more than what it
is when I'm just talking about making it important to
you to make your work the best that it can be.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
And that's all were talking about.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
So Kyle's message of the day today, on this Thursday morning,
take pride in pushing forward.
Speaker 6 (02:25):
Man.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
I can't believe somebody broke it to my garage and
stole the limbo steak.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
I mean, seriously, how low can you go?
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Oh my god, it was Lorio Hassle. Loan own here
you go take it down.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
On the morning Hustle.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Looks like Beyonce is doing it big once again. Let's
get to it dress party with the unsaid.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
He We'll talk about that in just a second. First,
let's talk about the arrest that was made involving the
shooting of the Jets cornerback Chris Boyd. So, a twenty
year old man from the Bronx was arrested involving in
that shooting that happened with that Jets cornerback Chris Boyd.
That happened outside of a populist spot in New York,
(03:14):
and let's just say, the reasoning behind.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
It all is absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Now, what they're saying is it had something to do
with them saying you think you're better than us, and
it was referring to their clothes. But to my understanding,
they were waiting in line to go into the spot.
These guys played for the Jets, and they already had
their situation situated, so they went ahead of these people.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
And that's when the guys got a little bit.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Yeah. Oh so they think because they such and such,
they could, you know, So they got.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
A little angry.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
An argument started, it subsided, then when they came out
they got back into the argument. A pushing and shoven
match happened, and the twenty year old took the gun
out and decided to shoot the Jets player. Now he
has been charged with it, tempted murder, assault and criminal
possession of a weapon, and obviously he's going to be
(04:05):
spending some time in jail and he won't be twenty when.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
He gets out.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Stupid, that's what he is.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
It's dumb over like who goes first, right, you get an.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Argument over that and shoot a body, you dumb as hell.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
It's so crazy, But now he risked his life. His
picture was everywhere in the news, so that's how they
was able to find him. Now let's talk about Danity Kine.
It looks like they are making a return the twentieth
anniversary tour and what I love about this shout out
to Jeremiah for putting me on.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
That's our digital producer.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
They actually didn't announce which women was going to be
on the tour because all of them are not there.
It's five original members, but only three of them were
going on the tour, so they just had like an
outline of bodies and it's like, come to the tour
and find out who's performing. Would you haven't mad if
it was the three members that you hate, but you know,
everybody got a favorite one, you know what I mean.
(04:57):
You're hoping it's them, And if it wasn't Aubrey, I
probably would have been odepassed off because she clearly was
a star. So she is one of the trio. Also
Rodrina and Dee Woods. Now you won't be seeing Don
Richards or Rashard however, she tried it was Richard when
she started on Danny King, and she tried to put
accent on it and then she and she don't even
(05:18):
want to sing no more. But Don Richard has been
involved a lot in the whole Diddy situation, the Diddy case.
She has a lawsuit pending against him right now. She
probably just doesn't want to even relive those memories of
that time.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
She's just supposed to separate herself from everything.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Yeah, and with this twentieth anniversary, you know, obviously that's
the time they could come out and make a couple
of dollars. Like they didn't make a lot being a
bad boy. They made that clear. They made almost none.
So if you can and your fans of Danity can't
go out and support them as a mini tour La Detroit, Philly,
New York. It's not a mini show, so you're gonna
only get to catch them at a limited time.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
Now.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
One thing I do want to go to though, please,
just to be on the carpet and do some innerview.
This something the met Gala. Now, last year I didn't
get to go. I almost had the opportunity. I'm so mad.
Dandyism was last year's theme, This year's scene will be
costume art. Okay, I'm excited about this. It's basically an
interplay between fashion and art.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Somebody going to walk in there with a picture frame
on the head.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
That's funny.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
But it is like based around body type, so the
naked body, the pregnant body, the aging body.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
So I will say, you said they'll walk around with it.
There's gonna be a lot of bodies.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yeah, and if you know what I mean, naked bodies,
So we're gonna see a lot of skin and probably
less fashion.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Meg Gala always goes too far.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Wha, No, they didn't because they went super big. Beyonce
it's actually one of the co chairs this year, which
Beyonce hasn't been to a met Gala in ten years,
so I can't wait to see what she has on.
Nicole Kittman is also named the colchair and Venus Williams,
which I'm surprised about this. Who I love Venus as
(06:57):
a person, but I don't look at her much to fashion,
So I'm venis Venus ou Serena To be honest, you think.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Outfits she could come? Oh well that's different.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Like if we're talking with the beads back in the day.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
They they made some outstanding.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Movies that you're talking about now, I'm talking about they
made fashion trends like all throughout their career, even with
her doing getting in trouble for wearing those little.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Off white outfits.
Speaker 6 (07:25):
You know.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Okay, now you are lost a little. Here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
There will be our hosting committee. The hosting committee has
Zoe Kravis, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Missy Copeland, Sam Smith,
Tiana Taylor, who I loved her outfit last year, and
Asia Wilson, who also has been named Time's Athlete of
the Year. We did talk about Leonardo DiCaprio being Entertainer
of the Year. I feel like that's well deserved. Asia
(07:52):
Wilson Athlete of the Year.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
What the out think? I mean, she's did a thing, man,
Why not let her get that recognition.
Speaker 7 (07:57):
Oh, she's been killing the game, but she threw some shots, man, Caitlyn.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
I can't wait for this. This is going down. May fourth,
twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Six, Come my mama's birthday.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
Oh really yeah? Okay, I'm Lori, y'all. That's the lowdown.
You can follow me at Starn Lauri y'all l R
E l or one as a show.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
And I told y'all, Destiny Shall is going on to her.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
If Beyonce is stepping out for something she ain't done
ten years and ten years, what does that tell.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
You she bored? Right, She's Beyonce. She can't be bored.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Listen, man speaking of things changing up, Man, looks like
some things are changing for MTV.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Yes, I'm very excited about this. It's coming to an end, MTV.
This is my childhood all wrapped up and a channel.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
So we're gonna talk about some of those shows that
used to kind of make your childhood when we come here.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Yet twenty twenty six, we ain't gonna see it no more.
We're talking about that when we come back Field a.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
Fab with the Morning Hustle Lorio.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
And Kyle Santillan Elton Walker's here. It's the Morning Hustle Show.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
And send the Capricorn fifteen hundred dollars today because their
birthday is coming up.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
They're probably shut.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Well.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Look, one thing we used to do back in the
day to relieve stress is watch some of our favorite
TV shows, especially on a channel like MTV.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
But it looks like that could be changing.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Yes, Lo, when I tell you, I am so upset
and I couldn't believe my eyes when I heard MTV
is coming to an end. They will no longer have
a channel in our television. Like you'll go and you
and you're gonna press it and you're gonna go to
a channel and it's gonna be off. Okay, I'm talking
about all the shows will be done loving hip hop. Yay,
(09:36):
it's finally gonna be over, y'all. That's the only thing
I could celebrate from this whole thing. But MTV, Like,
to me, I look at MTV like that was my childhood.
I learned everything by sitting down and watching MTV. Everything
about music, coach, and hip hop, all kind of stuff
was there.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
So that's interesting, right because I asked you'll earlier what
year y'all graduated high school? So no need to put
any that out there. But for me, I think my
relationship with MTV is a little different. Like I remember
being looking at MTV like, yo, stop playing y'all, just
copy of bet whether it was Rahap City versus MTV raps.
So I remember the days when it wasn't playing like.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Pre the reality show.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
But I watched be ET two.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, but even like before the reality shows,
before they were big, when it really was a music
channel and we wasn't really seeing all our favorite artists,
black artists, black artist.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
But I do feel like when I think.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
About like our actual culture, yes it would be be ET,
But when I think about like the entertainment side of things.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Like.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
Sixteen, my Super sixteen, and then when it came to
those data down you know what I'm saying, Like that
was what real reality television was to me.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Real World, well, MTV. I was about to say that
MTV started reality TV. Real World was the first one.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
That's what I was interested in at the time, so
much to the point that I thought I wanted to
be on Real World exactly. I mean even Tammy, what's
a Tammy Roman? She even started on Real World, but
she had an incident there, pants off, he pulled the blanket.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
I remember. There's so much.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Real World moments. I remember Sweet sixteen, Cribs, Remember when
Redman brought them to the trap.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
I think I think maybe my three favorite shows might
have been MTV raps h, MTV Diary, Remember Diary, Diary
was Diary. That's my favorite Fire and MTV Unplugged when
I used to do the performance.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Okay, oh, I'm plugged with real. I used to like next,
next is my joint. I used to like they I do.
I don't think we're just gonna have to keep it
at MTV because there's other shows like that all right,
Hell Date.
Speaker 7 (12:06):
Hell Date that was on b E T actually the
Springs and the beach Balls being hit and I'm.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
One of my favorite was Boiling Points. I wanted them
to find me in the street. And because remember they
used to do stuff to you till you get mad,
and if you cursed that you didn't get the.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Hound out, you gotta we got good. So let's talk
about it.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Man, What were some of your favorite shows, whether it
was MTV or not, some of your favorite shows that
you grew up on. We want to hear from you man.
Eight six six Hustle eight eight six six four eight
seven eight five three eight. Let's come on, let's get
to it. You'll know what it is to morning hustle.
Loreal Kyle said Tillian Elton Walker in the building.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
And if you're trying to be in a Beldre, all
you gotta do is go download that morning. Hustlevailable in
your app store for free.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Since we're talking about shows, I want to be in
a building at the price is Right's shit?
Speaker 1 (13:06):
That show is still on?
Speaker 4 (13:07):
I want to go it just got you want to
just bring Bob Barker back from the dead. No, you
know what show on MTV that was good jackass. But
in the beginning though, because then they started getting carried away,
like when it just started out and it was band
Margra and Steve O. When they started like really doing
crazy stuff then, know, yeah, for sure?
Speaker 5 (13:29):
You know what else? I liked Blind Dates and Element Date.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Like Row Rules Ruse was good. Okay, listen, listen. This
is what I proposed.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Since they said they're ending Love and hip Hop, what
I was thinking is that they do a real world
verse road Rules type style show with love and hip
hop Atlanta and Miami. And I think that first of all,
y'all better pay me because I know y'all going to
use this, and they should make them challenge each other
in those little kind of challenges physical.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Right, who's quicker at throwing or drinking somebody's face? I
want to see some relay races something wrong?
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Yeah, but I mean thing and drink could be part
of one of the relay races and like you gotta
throw it tell it gets far enough? Like yeah, who
could get engaged in? How many seasons?
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Fake Baby? What marriages? What y'all got for us?
Speaker 8 (14:21):
Man?
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Add to the list?
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Man eight sixty sixth Hustle eight eight six six eight
five three eight Tarina and Cincy.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
What was that show for you? Remember that college heel show? Yes?
And I don't remember the name of the show, but
the guy who used to walk around milk and Milky
move move That is that hits from the streets? Here
talking about it? Man, I think man or something like that.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Hits from the hits from the street, hits from the streets.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
What you sain? What are you saying? Wolkeep saying wolf sip?
Speaker 6 (14:58):
Yes, thank you?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
That one got you. What's up? Brittany? All right? Take
us back with one of those shows. What you got
for us?
Speaker 4 (15:11):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (15:11):
Because when y'all mentioned this, I definitely got excited on
an eighties baby with a nineties soul.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
So Jimmy McCarthy started on the show.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
I think it was called.
Speaker 8 (15:20):
Dingled Out, Yes, and then they had say what karaoke?
Oh see, I remember that my room, you know, making
it happen, and then they had the Spring for the
Spring Spring Break, and.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Then they ended up coming up with it.
Speaker 8 (15:38):
Like I said, they really need to bring some of
these shows back because they also had Silent Library.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Remember that.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
I do remember that one where you had to do
things to make somebody laugh or something.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Like in the library.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
Yep. Yeah, Well, you know what, they might bring some
of those shows back because they are actually going to
just focus on reality television.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
So maybe something they'll come back to.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
Maybe we need like more Team summits and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Could be a kid.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
It was good out of control, like the Teen Summit
used to inform you something like, all right, what y'all
got for us? Man eight six six, Hustle eight eight
sixty six four eight seven eight five three eight back
one o six in part? And it doesn't just have
to be MTV. It carry any show you used to watch.
We want to hear what you got for.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
Us without the countdown. Just put random video.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Count of up in the Morning, the Hustle, Hustle, Lorio
and Kyle say it, Tillian el Ta Walkers, Here's the
Morning Hustle Show.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
And if you need some cash, oh, you got to
do is text cash the as h to seven ones.
Speaker 5 (16:41):
There there are seven.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
I were talking about those shows that you grew up
with back in the day.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
We want to hear what you got eight six six
Hustle eight eight six six four eight seven eighty five
three eight My mom.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
That was a good show. That was a good show.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
And you know what out flavor alive?
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Why we didn't say that that was the first dating
celebrities that flavor?
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Please Deian from Fort Washington, what you got for us?
Speaker 1 (17:09):
The fifth will and when somebody extra was on a date?
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Yeah, I remember that the fifth Whie, Like, Yo, get
this extra person out of here.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
They trying to figure out who's gonna get left off
right hard?
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Sometimes they went home.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Right all right, man, keep it going eight six six
us so eight eight six six four eight seven eight
five three eight. We're talking about those TV shows back
in the day that you might miss nowadays. Let's talk
about it.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Get we are the Morning Hustle.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yo, it's the Morning Hustle, Lo Real, Kyle Santilian out
and Walker here. We're all trying to come up with
old sools we used to.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Watch, and I can't believe nobody mentioned ren and stimpy
like that was on empty because.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
It started on MTV. That was my show. Yeah, that
was a good one.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
What about Double there?
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Double? There was amazing family Double What would you do
you remember that?
Speaker 7 (18:00):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (18:00):
No, I thought you what I doing? Double Day?
Speaker 7 (18:02):
No?
Speaker 8 (18:03):
No?
Speaker 3 (18:03):
What we do?
Speaker 1 (18:03):
The show No Legends?
Speaker 4 (18:05):
Do you remember Legends of the Hidden Temple? Who was
that other show where that, like you was a gladiator?
American black Gladiator?
Speaker 7 (18:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (18:16):
I love it everyone every Saturday running. Oh love that show.
What y'all got Man? One of those shows used to
watch back in the day.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
I let us eight six six eight eight six six
forty seven eight five three eight Jeff and Cincinnati, What.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
You Got Fast? MTV?
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Alfonzo in the d give us that show? Bawn Heels
all when hell?
Speaker 7 (18:49):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Damn? Whether you know that wasn't one of my favorites.
I don't think I ever watched that one. What made
you like that show?
Speaker 6 (18:55):
It was just different? It was like so it was
it was kind of like I want to say, love
and hip hop, but it was like a different scenery
of college kids, you know, like it was like.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
The Hills, but it was bougie. Well some of it.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
It was like a mix because it's like in the
middle of like upper class neighborhood and then the hood
man TV is trash now.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Nothing good rights. It's so many options. There's nothing to watch,
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
It's not I just think everything is like on streaming services,
like there's no real game shows like it used to
be like this.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
The reality shows are just lame.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
It's everybody fighting like.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Fun oversaturated man, very over.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
You just need the fun reality shows.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
If you didn't get through on the full lize man
voice was whacked.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
It was only good when it was real world like
that was when they was on that bucket like this
one like this one morning, next bus, next when they
come up the stairs.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Come on, be my baby tonight, y'all without real world.
Come on, be my baby tonight, real world with us.
I see the way you treated other thugs. Ry sure.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Like wow okay, as so many shows shoot his voice.
Note on that morning hustle, We're gonna.
Speaker 8 (20:24):
Keep it moving lorryll hassle, loan own here you go,
take it low ding hustle.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
What looks like jay Z might have had another woman
under his arm. Let's find out who that is.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
Unbelievable. We'll talk about that in just a second.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
First, it looks like this Blue Face situation with his
mom is just getting super cringey and weird.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
Now, the other day he got everybody upset, all his
baby mamas because he said, you know, all my baby
moms are mid.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
I think that I need to get some bad ones pregnant.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
Ill Okay, So Chrishan, it looks like she wasn't even
really too mad about the whole thing, and she actually
backed Blue Face and was like, you know, he made
a lot of sacrifices for me, so I'm not going
to speak down on him. And I'm like, you've spoken
down on him or was stop now? Either way, he
was dating Hazel E for like two weeks. Last week
(21:20):
he has this other side check that apparently is pregnant
right now, and his mother just has a lot to
say about all these women. The two of them got
into a discussion back and forth and he kind of
had to shut her down.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Not a networker, not a little battye squawk.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
Like you got to think about it, like imagine if
your mother was on Batties and had a podcast on
Zeus Network and was fighting with your girlfriend's in the club, Like, how.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
Would y'all feel about that?
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Embarrassed exactly, Well, it looks like he embarrassed him and
her even further and went to social media and said, mom,
we can never have sex. I'm not into that. Please
stop being so invested. And the women I'm laying down with,
it's kind of weird. You're like jealous or something. We
can never lay down together. You are not my type.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
As weird as hell. That's just mess. It is even
have that thought is just crazy.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
I think his intention is to say you're being weird,
but it still don't explain it, no, because it's weird.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
For her to be acting like that, Like he's like, yo,
you're trying to act like you want to be one
of my girls. No, we can't be that. I have wed.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
I have seen a lot of women treat their sons
like their husbands. They cast them up to match them.
And it's not like, you know, you could do something
cute like that, but it's more so a grown man
dressed that like, especially some of these scammer girl I'd.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Be like, why you can't got on an her bag
that match with you?
Speaker 4 (22:43):
And and I'm just like it's weird. So I get
what he's saying. It's just not Yeah, but to even
say you're not my type, that's when I was just like,
all right, both of them are a little shit.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
That is kind of crazy. Though I found myself, OK,
I'm got you a new homeboy. What happened? Bad boys?
Link up?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Yo?
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Anyway, let's talk about Joy Reid. She is speaking out
about Stephen A. Smith apparently in to it. I've got
a little issue because he made comments back in twenty
twenty four basically saying that she was fired from MSNBC
because of her poor ratings.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Well, she had some things to say back. How you
said I got fired for ratings?
Speaker 7 (23:30):
And I'm like, uh, excuse me, sir, you got one
hundred million dollars for a.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Show with half my ratings at my worst. I had
to literally google his numbers. I'm like, how many people
listen to the show? Is it like four million people
a weight? It's like what five hundred thousand people? Dude,
that's like average CNN.
Speaker 8 (23:49):
They're paying you because you are willing to say the
nasty things about black people.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Well I don't think that's fair, And like, I you know,
I rock with joy Read. But he says nasty things
about everybody.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
There's a lot of black people he do talk about.
Got white people too.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Yeah, But I know me and my alumni from Winston
Centel State have been very disappointed in steven A. We've
been talking about this for a while now because I
think he's intentionally riding the fence because of this whole
maybe he'll run for political seat thing. So when he does,
he does talk about everybody, But when he does say
stuff about black people, we do at it.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Like, bro, what are you talking about? I mean, I do.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
Absolutely think that he sometimes might go a little harder.
But to say he's getting paid to tear down black people,
I think is a little crazy. He's getting paid to
report on sports if he decides to go on and
go on rants on certain people. I love joy Reed,
you know what I mean. And maybe it's just that's
them having something against each other. But I feel like
(24:47):
we need to be careful when we say things like
that because it's even like the situation I'm going through
right now. I have a viral moment where people are
misconstruying my words and all I said was, you know
a lot of black men did not back, Kamala Harrison.
I'm saying that because the callers we had in I'm
saying that because of Snoop Nelly Kodak black and people
saying she was a prosecutor and put a lot of
(25:09):
black men in jail, and then it just turned into
she says she don't like black men and black men
don't support black women, and I'm like, WHOA Like, once
you start saying narratives like that, people just run with
them without even doing their own homework.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
So I want to make it clear, like we got
to be careful when we're.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Talking about each other too, because at the end of
the day, he is still a black man in a
platform where we need to be, where we need to
be represented, and you rather him not be there.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
I just need him to be more careful, like the
stuff you're saying about Jasmine Krocket and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
And I agree, but we all say things that he
apologized as well, and I even had things to say
about him. But there are certain things that I've said
that I was wrong about, and I apologize.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
We all make mistakes and we're all human.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
I think Joy needs to focus on getting another show,
getting back on television or getting her show popping, because
I would like to see more joy breed in front
of us and not just bashing and tearing down a
black man because you're kind of doing the same thing
you're saying he's doing, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
But love both of y'all. Let's move on and talk
about the little lady.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
How dare he?
Speaker 4 (26:14):
He bought another woman to the game? Jay Z brought
another little woman to the game. But it was Blue Ivy. Oh,
it was Blue Ivy. They were at the Lakers Bird
Spirits games and just looks so adorable, the spitting image
of her mama, David. She was a little woman and
you know what she I thought the funny thing because
(26:35):
it's all over social media right now because she's just
grown up so lovely, thirteen years old. She was sitting
next to ya Ya Mayweather, and I was like, Jay,
you could tell. Jay was like, turn your head this way,
don't even look that well because she had a little
NBA young boy.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Junior on her lap. But what about the other twins.
It's a little girl, Yeah, but he can't go. I'm
larry out. That's the lot.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
You follow me ri l o ari e out or
morning hustle shall all.
Speaker 2 (27:05):

in the day, man, the ones that really kind of
shaped your childhood. What you got for us man eight
six six hustle eight eight sixty six four eight seven

Speaker 1 (27:15):

ain't gonna say nothing. I'm I'm he said, hold on
if you're just.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
Doing this because he's a guy, because I feel like
when it's a woman, you really.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Go I'm sorry, I gotta say something. Yeah, I'm gonna
be quiet. All right, Devin, let's get into it.
Speaker 3 (27:54):

one of our judges, big men, they do not play
about that.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Okay, Oh yeah, I'm already knowing. He already knows about
the judges. That's what's up.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Dean said. We want to see you win, man, We
want to see you do well. Loreoal's got a free
answer for you.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
That's right, Devin from money Making Manhattan. Your answer is
going to be mammo, mammo, just like Alton. Okay, did

Speaker 6 (28:39):

Speaker 7 (28:41):
You know, you think he gonna win the If he
don't win the whole thing on this one, then who

Speaker 5 (28:48):
I mean I am looking at the favoritism I favorite

Speaker 7 (28:51):
I mean I'm looking at these because he didn't make
these questions hard. All right, Let's see what he could do, Devin.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
You ready to go?
Speaker 6 (28:57):

Speaker 2 (28:58):

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Yes, lad? What does a compass show you your position
where you are?
Speaker 6 (29:38):

Speaker 2 (29:39):

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Archaeologist?
Speaker 2 (29:51):
What is the plural of the word mouse? What is

Speaker 3 (30:02):

Speaker 1 (30:03):

Speaker 5 (30:10):

going to be so mad.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
You got through all the questions and you got everything
right except for one.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Oh yeah, I knew you want to go.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
You almost had a thousand dollars almost if you knew.
What do you call a scientist who studies rocks? We

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Geologist, Yes, geo rocks with the gym, Yes, you.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Said, with archaeologists. What is what the study of bones

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yeah, I just thought about that. Archaeologist is your store

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Actually?
Speaker 6 (30:49):
Both and mountains as well.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
As mountains use that how is it bones and mountains
all time?
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Go ahead, educators, man, they don't know bones thousands.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
Bones and mountains are pretty wide range.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
You fight for your Are the judges considering pontologist is
done for dinosaurs?
Speaker 6 (31:15):
Right?
Speaker 1 (31:15):
An archaeologis and archaeologist and a scientists who studies past
human life and culture by excavating and analyzing material remains
like artifact structures, environmental data. No, we're not doing that.
I'm studying rocks. I told you them. Judges, don't play
you don't pull up the damn definition. Usually I'm with
you and I will fight for you.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
But that would have been an extra shad Okay, like
go go gadget stress by bro, Well, Devin, that means

Speaker 3 (32:33):
On the Morning Hustle.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Well, it looks like fifty is not finished yet.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
What he got up his sleeve, and we will talk
about that in just a second.
Speaker 4 (32:41):
The first, let's talk about the coach, or should I
say now former coach of the University of Michigan.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
Now, this is a messy ass story. So he was
detained after he.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Got fired, and a lot of things are coming out
as to why he is not only fired, but also
guys locked up. Now, apparently he was messing with somebody
who was his assistant. He got fired behind the whole thing,
he went to go confront the woman over it, which
is crazy.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
What is it her fault?
Speaker 4 (33:12):
And he ended up getting arrested because he was like
harassing her and all kinds of things.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
Well, now this guy will be home with his legs crossed.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Or I guess in jail because they also said he
was stocking her in some more stuff. He thought she
was pregnant, so he wanted her to take this plan. B.
And this man also has a family. I'm talking about
a wife and kid, three kids to be exact. And
now how he gonna pay for their food child, I'm
not sure.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Damn Christmas.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
Time to let's move on and talk about Rolling Stones.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
They are actually on point with this one, and big
shout out to the Clips because they earned the number
one spot on Rolling Stones twenty twenty five Best Hip Hop.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
House that I was just listening to the album again
yesterday I.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
Went I never stopped, so like, I have a rotation
of albums that I listened to. Leon Thomas is in there,
Summer Walker Sissus stays in there, but Clips is always
in my rotation. So I definitely think they got this
one right. And the Grammys are right around the corner.
February's right around the corner, and you know that they
are up for Best Hip Hop Album. Also Kendrick Lamar
(34:20):
a few other people, and I really did like that
Kendrick album, but I think that the Clips really deserved
this one. So I'm gonna say they're gonna take that
Grammy home and I can't wait to, you know, celebrate
that with y'all on the radio. Okay, we'll talk about that,
but it's obviously I spoke about Kendrick Lamar. Who's that
because according to the game, he's actually the best rapper
(34:42):
when it comes to Cali.
Speaker 7 (34:43):
I'm definitely the best rapper from Golfin definitely definitely who's
the best rap on the West Coast today?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Game, ain't nobody getting at You can't nobody all rap me? Man, Like,
no one can do what I can do, sir.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
Now, now, don't get it twisted.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
The game Carrat, the game Carrat when he shouting out
everybody name and Masu, Okay, he is out.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
He is the name of shout outer.
Speaker 4 (35:07):
Okay, but Ken Drake, you will rap. Circle was a
round game and he's literally doing this a clickbait. I
can't think it's nothing or you know what else do
you expect him to say? No rapper over says somebody's
better than him, So he's going to say himself. I mean,
but you know what, how about you show props to
the younger generation that actually is holding it down.
Speaker 5 (35:24):
You're not real, you know, but to big up your people.
I think there's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
I think thatthing's wrong with people thinking that when you
light somebody else's flame, it takes away from your you
know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Like, of course you could be like you. We know
you think you good.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
That's why you know, Shawn the light on somebody else.
I think that's cool, But it is what it is.
The game is just going to keep messing with these
young women. Right, Let's move on and talk about fifty cent.
Fifty Cent sat down with Sherry Shepherd. I actually checked
out this episode, and there was funny because one of
(36:00):
the first things she asked him about Vivca. I know,
he is so tired of talking about Vivica. Like, imagine
dating somebody for three months. In every single interview you're in,
you got to talk about it. He looked kind of
uncomfortable when she brought it up. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
How about this.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
We stopped asking fifty about Vivca. Let's just let that
go now.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
I don't mind y'all asking him about Diddy though, because
that's still clock, that's stilty, that's doughty, and apparently there's
more tea that we don't know about.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, well everything couldn't make that. It's only four episodes.
Speaker 9 (36:30):
You had to pick and choose things like even in
an area where he chooses to date people he knows
previously dated someone. He has a baby by a woman
that was tating Tupac. But we had to cut it
down so time.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Yes, it is crazy. He is absolutely right.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
He dated Eric Sherman's ax and that was Misa I'll
be Sure's ax and that was Kim. He hires Shug's baby,
Mom's best friend and that was Capricorn. He dated fifties
acts and that's daffy. He dated Ryan Leslie's axe, that's cash.
Speaker 6 (37:00):
See.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
He dated Justin's access Lorie Harvey. Wrong with you? What
is wrong with this man?
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Like, clearly there needs to be a part two because
we ain't need touch on this man's life at all.
I'm murry y'all. That's the lowdown. You can follow me
at starn lurry y'all. Hella are out or one out
up shall.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Use.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
I'm a more to hustle.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
I just a lot going on in the world with
the US, but I don't want to talk about it.
I'm tired to Trump. So today is the news. You
can use HBCU audition. Before we get to paying college
and all of that, I do want to address something
that's a little bit somber before we start moving on
to some of the other things. Oh No, Kentucky State
(37:44):
University had a shooting yesterday afternoon where one of the
students ended up passing away, a nineteen year old to
John Darryl Fox, Junior, And there's another student in critical condition.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
Now.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
There saying that suspect of the shooting Jacob Lee Barnes
from Evansville, Indiana, And that suspect that did the shooting
is a parent of another student.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
So this is a crazy situation.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
It's not one of those situations where somebody came on
the yard shooting it up. This seems to be an
individual islated argument. Somebody's parent shot a student and killed them.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Nah, that is crazy.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
I know we're going to hear more details on that,
Like what was it bullying situation?
Speaker 2 (38:22):
I don't know, man, they didn't they didn't really give
any more details in terms of what led to the
disagreement that led to the shooting, but they canceled classes, exams,
and activities for the rest of this week, and that's
at Kentucky State University, the only HBCU in the state
of Kentucky. All right, God, all right, so let's move
on to happier things, better things. Tuesday night. Shout out
(38:43):
to Duke University. They're not an HBCU, but they hosted
the one hundred and fourth meeting between North Carolina A
and T and Howard at Cameron Indoor Stadium on the
campus of Duke University. Howard wants walks away with the
win seventy three to sixty nine over North Carolina A
and T State Universe City.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
But that was iconic right there for that game.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Now, wsshue, my school got a shot out, my guy.
Tory Woodbury. Tory Woodbury played quarterback for Winston Salem State
University in the early two thousands, got drafted to the
New York Jets, spent years in the league as a player,
transition to a coach in an NFL one ring with
the Los Angeles Rams when they won a Super Bowl.
This past season, he coached alongside Mike Vick with Norfolk
(39:24):
State and that was iconic. And now he's returning to
Winston Salem State University as the head coach of the
Rams football teams to shout out to my Yeah, that's
a big deal. It's a big deal for him to
come home and coach at his alma mater. But he's
also from Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
So he grew up there.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
So he gets to get back to the community he
grew up in and the HBCU that he graduated from.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Every time I hear Windondlla, that's hilarious. All right, mackenzie,
Scott's back at it.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Yeah, you just donated twenty five million dollars too.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Where Lincoln univers that's my guy, mother in Pennsylvania. What's
wrong outter? This is a good thing.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
She donated twenty five million dollars to Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.
Thank you, thank you, McKenzie.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
Yeah, you're still waiting on paying coach. I'm just saying
it spread the love.
Speaker 7 (40:18):
Man.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
How much? How much did she get at school? Twenty
five million? Why do they need that much?
Speaker 4 (40:24):
Don'tly donating to universities? Not community with college university? We
we we pushed on the university, Lincoln University.
Speaker 7 (40:35):
Well she got no Spellman College, more House College. Yeah,
they calls out in college.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Yeah, go home all right, mkid got pay in college
as you think she's gonna get to us.
Speaker 4 (40:47):
Not with you.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Complaining, I wouldn't give y'all a red cent all right, Last,
but not lease, we just want a million. Take a
holy down one hundred thousand.
Speaker 7 (40:57):
Don't cut us a check.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Last, but not least, speaking of Lincoln University. Speaking of
Lincoln University, they are one of eight schools that are
going to be participating in Chris Paul's HBCU Classic in
Atlanta next week. Okay, you got Clark Atlanta, Jackson State,
Fable State, Lincoln University, Grambling State, Moorhouse, Hampton University, and
(41:19):
Norfolk will all be playing basketball and Chris Paul's HBCU
Classic in Atlanta at the Gateway Center Arena December eighteenth
and nineteenth, which is next Thursday and Friday. So HBCU
schools coming to Atlanta to put on a nice little
tournament courtesy at Chris Paul and a Chris Paul Family foundation.
Still salty, all right, man, shout out to all the

HBCUs around the country, including.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
We got a basketball team? Man, I heard it, would
you asking you got a basketball team?
Speaker 8 (41:51):
