Speaker 4 (00:16):
Kyle's message in the day today is have faith in
your future.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Have faith in your fure.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
No matter what's going on right now, you gotta have
faith in your future. Get rid of any and all
those thoughts that make you feel like you might be lacking,
or have you concentrating on things that you know maybe
you're not the best at or whatever. Instead, you got
to put your energy into the things that you do well.
And you have to do that with everything that you have.
Don't waste time and energy wishing that things were different.
(00:45):
It is what it is. Man own a situation the
way that it is and put all your energy into
pushing things into a positive direction. Right, No more complaints.
Don't worry about regrets, y'all. Get rid of that resentment
and all that doubt. All of that stuff will get
you nowhere. But if your intentions, then your positive actions
can do anything for you. They can do everything for you.
(01:06):
If you know what I'm saying, Yes, I know things
a messy. Life's not fair people are inconsiderate. Things happen,
but you just have to believe that at the end
of the day, if you do your part the way
that you're supposed to do it, things are going to
work out in your favor. Okay, keep that in mind.
Kyle's message of the day today is have faith in
your future.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
And mine is I drink to make other people more interesting.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
With the morning hustle.
Speaker 6 (01:33):
Hey, it was good this morning. Hustle, Loreale and Kyle
say it.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Tillian.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
We end up building, baby, we got another guest holding
it down. We talk about international world wise in the building. Domo.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yes, what's up, bro? How you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Good morning, Good morning.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
How you doing where you're traveling there from Africa today?
Speaker 7 (01:53):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah, what I'm coming from?
Speaker 8 (01:54):
Yeah? Legos actually Legos and yeah, just I was in
Atlanta last week did my wife's body But I just
dropped album. So a lot of events going on around
the album in Africa. So just really that's going. That's
touch base and stuff. It's crazy, man.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
I love that you do that, that you go out
and touch the people, you come in and come talk.
Speaker 8 (02:10):
To us back and forth. I was complaining of it.
I was like, man, this these lines getting too much.
But it's like, you know, the music is just the
attention and demand is just needed in both sides of
the world that you know, I feel, you know, need
equal to you know, kind of attention. Yeah, obviously I'm
from both sides of.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
The right, but to be an international artist. But then
also you're a family man, so they're things you have
to do.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Like you said, your wife's birthday, We see you just
got the g wagon every year. And how it works,
you know.
Speaker 8 (02:42):
Like back home, like we don't like like I bought
her years ago when it was her like twenty third birthday.
Because she don't drive, you know what I'm saying. She
really just be home and she don't go out unless
like I'm.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Going out right, so what you get out now?
Speaker 8 (02:55):
I wanted to drive, okay, take the kids to school,
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (02:59):
Now, she's in Atlanta.
Speaker 8 (03:00):
I went her lunch and drives lunch just do you
know a couple of handy stuff and just always cooking
and you know, taking care of the kids, you know,
just other stuff. I wanted to, you know, get in
the car, her and her friends go for drinks.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (03:13):
Why doesn't she like the drive?
Speaker 8 (03:16):
No, you just you just be chilling, you know with
the upgrading in night jer We don't do that, like
you have to buy your car like cash. There's no mortgage,
there's no cardinal in back over in Africa, the system
is not set up like that.
Speaker 5 (03:31):
It was interesting you said about Chris Brown when you
first started working with him and you did not have
to pay him anything. It was everything with the video.
Everything video like he put up. He got to the
video before me, like like I did. We did a
release party for the record. They tell me Chris is
there before me. I'm like what, Like he's so serious.
Speaker 8 (03:51):
That's something that's like like damn there, billionaire and like
he's focused on his crap. You know what I'm saying.
I've seen him, you know, just even without music, just
being around and being his friend and seeing how hardy works,
Like he'd be laughing with you. The next minute he's
doing ten backflips like strange, looking like man, this got
even human. But you know he's just you know, I
(04:15):
appreciated my culture so much and does it so well
as well, Like you wouldn't even tell, like he's African and.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
He's helped a lot of artists with like coming up
when they first are coming out. But what okay, so
since that was free, what was the most expensive feature
that you've ever had? Because you used to go run
down on dudes with cash.
Speaker 8 (04:35):
Yeah, yeah, honestly, like I thought, blew up and then
I wasn't on like a cash grabbing thing. I remember,
like we used to throw a bred out like crazy.
Like I remember when I wanted to get to Meek
to get to meet like me and Meek we had
a link, but then I lost the link with him,
and then he went to jail. So by the time
he came out, me even tried to get to him,
like I already spent like a hundred just not even
(04:57):
giving him nothing yet, just like get the old it's
your friend, right, all right, let's go to the club.
You know what you was got, right, I'm gonna get
you a hotel so you be around me. What do
you call you?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
You know you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (05:09):
Yeah, paying people just to make the connection.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, just like it to me, it's not paying people
where I'm from.
Speaker 6 (05:14):
Were very like it's just like generous.
Speaker 8 (05:17):
Well, generous is like if one person is eating we
all eating one person.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
So I already had that mindset.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
And at that point, I remember at the point I
was in LA for like two weeks at that time,
he was daying Nikki, so it's like he was he
was busy. I was already down the whole, like fifty bands.
I'm ass to spending on fifty bands and get the
job done. And I ended up, you know, getting to
him and then we ended up doing the records in
the video was amazing, but like just to get the dog,
like to get him on a like yeah, cause he
(05:46):
was cool by the time he got to me, and
he already heard the situation of people.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
Lying, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
He was like, yeah, like I didn't even know you
was in America.
Speaker 8 (05:54):
That's going to be with me now, Like you know
what I'm saying. But I understand that you know what
I'm saying when you get the levels. Like I'm like,
I said to my brother, like, yo, do you want
to do a regular I get that paper, Yeah, but
I do it for you. Go take you go, go
take care of your kids. So I understand that situation
because I grew up here too, So I understand.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
We appreciate you, man, can't.
Speaker 8 (06:12):
You guys, every time you come through, always supported.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
See the old interview and behind the scenes at the
Morning Hustle show.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
What's good Baby, It's the Morning Hustle with La Rio
and Kyle Say Atilian Elton Walker in the building. So
our question for you today is have you ever had
to cover for one of your niece and nephews and
not tell their parents, like your brother or your sister
or whoever that might be in your family structure.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, look at your face already hilarious. I do not
play that.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
I am the person that everybody tries to hide everything from.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I'm very strict.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
I mean they already be like, thank god you don't
have kids, they will be a chain gang. Like I
I'm very strict when it comes to like my nieces
nephew I don't care what age. Well some of them
is down there twenty five now and I'm still like
on that as Okay. So I'm the one that you
need to go to somebody for to help you with.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
You get what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (07:08):
So my sisters are usually like, nah, they didn't do
nothing too crazy, but don't come to me because I'm
telling I'm whooping out, I'm beating yeah, punishment, all that
good stuff.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
So I've been in that position, right, And for me,
I was older, so I was the older cousin. I
wasn't necessarily an uncle. But at the time when I
first went to North Carolina from Jersey, I was staying
with my uncle and their kids, and my eye hit
me early, like, yo, you gotta make a decision on
whose side you're gonna be on. You're gonna be with
the kids, and you're gonna be with us, right, So
fast forward, keeping that in mind, fast forward one time,
(07:41):
I guess, I guess my cousin went out somewhere. She
went out to a house party but didn't tell nobody.
She wasn't supposed to be there. So I just get
this call lead at night and she's like, can you
just come get us? Can you just come get us? Right?
So I kind of get her and it's just her
and her friend was so drunk she had to throw up,
like just.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
All over her.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
But she was scared because there was some other dudes
around this that and the third So I didn't tell
the parents, but I felt good that she trusted me
enough that if she felt like.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
It was some trouble.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
Oh, she called me and I'm gonna come get her,
and she's see sucker.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
That's what I call people like you.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Because what if she didn't feel comfortable enough to call
me and and she's just in danger.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
No, you shouldn't have been in that situation, of.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Course, but the situation happened, so at that point she's
already in it. Nah.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
That means get out of jail free. That means I
know that I could get drunk, and I know that
cow's gonna come save me.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
I mean, I don't know. I'm always looking out. I
just you know, that was one of my experiences with it.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
If you if I look out for you, you're never
gonna hear the end of it. It's just like I'm like,
I'm gonna choice that I'm gonna help you this one time,
but I am going to bring it up every day
in life. I'm black because you know how No, you
need a couple of dollars, well I needed a couple dollars,
but that day I had to go pick you up
with the car.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Everything that's good, that's good, that's goodsposed to do.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Thank you, don't tell me again. If you time, don't
call me, I'm.
Speaker 6 (09:12):
Gonna just make sure my people are safe. That's the
that's really.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
Make sure this one dime you my car.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
From me.
Speaker 6 (09:23):
When we come back. We gotta get out to the story.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
I know you got one loan's not going for I'm
gonna look out for my people.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
Who knows what the hell Alison is going to say something?
Speaker 2 (09:32):
They got them in the matter. We'll be right back.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
Someone with the one hustle.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
What up y'all?
Speaker 4 (09:39):
The morning hustle with Lareel and Kyle, said Tillian. And
you know, we got an open door policy around here.
The best in the brightest.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Come walking through.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
And today this young lady is no different. She's an
entrepreneur doing big things. You're seeing representing on the Real
Housewives of Atlanta and she representing out of Chicago. Come on, man,
miss Angela Oakley is in the pl.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Ready.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I mean, you gotta be you. You chose the show
where you gotta be ready at all time. I see
I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
I thought I could take my time, but no, you
got to sit on ready.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Yeah you got already.
Speaker 7 (10:22):
You can.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
You had to come swinging in front of well they
came out swinging, but you came back ready to clap back.
Like it wasn't nothing like a profession. Now flex game
is strong.
Speaker 6 (10:32):
Yeah, nothing.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
You practice your clap back so that you can't.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
You cannot practice your clap back.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
You just can't.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
You really have to be sitting on ready for sure.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
But I will say, like Angela has been so quick
with it. Like when I tell you I hear, this
is what I hear about you. They say you're bringing
back the old lead to house fogs when you're able
to roll with the punches but also be there to
snap really quick. This past episode, girl, you was ready.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
I wasn't.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Like that was a blackout moment. I really was shocked
at myself.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Oh you watch yourself back and said, I can't believe.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I said, like, how does she get me to that
Brett whore?
Speaker 1 (11:19):
I think it was a few people who did it
before me, you know in the sentiment, But you know
I didn't, you know, I didn't want to, you know,
go there with Britt. But I think she just wanted
me to go there.
Speaker 6 (11:32):
Yeah, and she.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Dumped between y'all two.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
That has been going on, Like even though you've had
head to head conversations or incidents with others, it's something
caddy between the two of you. Is it the fact
that y'all are broth first timers here and.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
No, Britt Brett is very one sided with her knees,
you know what I mean. She I didn't know she
had this energy towards me for the longest and watching
it back, I'm like, oh, girl, you never forgave me. Yeah,
I thought you forgave me when I know apologized in Nashville,
she never forgave me. So at the Bailey Cue is
when I realized, oh, she's been holding b for a
(12:08):
long time.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
Yeah, and that's something that happens on this show. We
should die Kelly here not too long ago, and we
talked about the comments that Porsche said where she said
I should sleep with her husband.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah, now you're a game.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Porsche for that, which your bigger woman than me, No,
you're a taller woman.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (12:29):
It was.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
More so of game recognized game, like I see you,
you know, first time, shame on you, Second time, shame
on me. It won't be a second time. But I
just wanted to move along, you know, give a little
bit of grace, but all the time like I see you.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
So I wouldn't know.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
I don't think it was a forgiveness of sorts.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
It was like I see you.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
Yeah situation for those that don't know, And now you know,
I say this all the time of Lorio knows she's
into reality TV much more than me.
Speaker 6 (13:02):
But the husband that you're speaking of is Charles Oakley.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
One and only.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
Right, So if anybody like you know I know about
him in basketball, and I know about his temperament in basketball,
I think, yeah, So how does that work between the
two of you? You all like, we've seen his temperament
on and off the court, you know what I mean,
We see how you can be on.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
The show at times. How do you two what's the
dynamic like between you guys?
Speaker 1 (13:28):
I think Iron Shopping's iron.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Charles has truly met his match.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Now we're not We're not disrespectful, you know what I mean. Like,
there's no name calling, there's no any of that. Charles
fights bullies. He's never want to pick on anyone smaller
than him or anything. He likes the five people bigger
than him. That's the Charles Oakley aesthetic. So but when
I tell you he holds me accountable and I hold
him accountable, I mean, it's just like nothing you ever
(13:52):
seen before.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Hustlers. You know what time it is, man, guess in
the studio today? Is Angela Oakley is here when we
come back. We got much more to talk about, y'all.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
Don't go anywhere. It's morning Hustle.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
We are the morning Hustle.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
And Yo, it's the morning Hustle, Lorell and Kyle saying,
Tillian Alton Walker is here by now you already know
we're home at that thousand dollars cash grab qualify my
texting the word cash is seven one zero zero seven
to get your shot at the money. All right, We're
talking about a time where you had to cover for
a family member, maybe a niece or nephew, but you
didn't tell nobody. You kept it low, whatever trouble they
got into, you kept it to yourself, just looked out.
(14:29):
Loreol said, she'll never do it ever. I got that
call a couple of times, had to hold it down
for a family member. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
Alti said he got in trouble trying to look out
for his nether d.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Yeah, that's how I'm playing with these kids. What about y'all?
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Man eight six six hustle eight eight sixty six four
eight seven eight five three eight key in DC.
Speaker 6 (14:47):
What about you.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
So it's crazy because me and my symblysy gang up
against all kids. But for some reason my needs of
the nephews, they still keep trusting me to keep the
little secret.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
I don't know he trusted me.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
But we're gonna fight them.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
It's us against them.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
That's what I'm saying. I'm not playing with them. I
don't do that. I ain't gonna lie. When you have
your own team, you will be a sucker, just like one.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Of my lot.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
I know, I can't tell they my damn kids as
much as I to spend.
Speaker 6 (15:22):
Yeah, let's keep it going.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Man eight six six huncil eight eight sixty six four
eight seven eight five three eight count.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Us up in the morning. The hustle, Morning hustle. What
up y'all?
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Some morning hustle with Loreale and Kyle Santillian Alton Walker
in the building.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
You know the four lines going crazy.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
We're talking about the time you might have to cover
for a family member like a niece, a nephew, you know.
Speaker 7 (15:44):
What I mean.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
But you kept it on the law. You ain't telling
nobody what they got into. You just looked out for
him eight six six Hustle eight eight sixty six four
eight seven eight five three eight Darrow in the DMV
What about you, bro?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Oh, my lastew got in trouble at school and he
asked me to to the parents teach a conference and
pretend like I'm his dad. I wanted to play in
this basketball game. But it's the crazy part I go.
So I go to it, you dad, I did it? Yeah,
So I did it. And I'm looking at the teacher
and I'm like, yo, I think I might have knocked
your teacher down back.
Speaker 9 (16:18):
Man.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
So the teacher's talking to me and in the middle
of the conversation, she clipped her phone around and it's
my mom and she's like, ain't this your boy? He
over here trying to pretend like he this boy's daddy.
I know, bro, Now we're both in trouble.
Speaker 6 (16:36):
Away from you.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
I told you don't be back with these kids. They
gonna jam you up.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
So wait, so did you ever figure out did you
knock her down back in the day or not.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
I recognized her because it was one of my mom's friends.
In my head, I'm like, I think I might have
knocked you. I knocked down a couple of old I
was back in my day, So I'm like, maybe that's
what it is. I couldn't put one on one together.
Speaker 6 (17:00):
Appreciate you bro, all right, y'all appreciate those phone calls.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
If you didn't get through on the line, man, send
us a voice note on that app the Morning Hustle app.
Speaker 6 (17:07):
Download that to your phone. Stick around someone.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
A hustle field a vib with the Morning Hustle.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Put up y'all in the Morning Hustled with Lorreale and
Kyle say it till in. You know, our door is
always open, man, guess pull up on us. And today
we have a couple who's doing it so big. They
took it from the podcast to the screen. If you will,
to represent Devell and Kadeen Ellis representing Ellis ever after
the podcast.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
We're let's do that.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Y'all are coolest man, y'all really putting a positive spin
on the idea that people say, you know, you shouldn't
work with a significant other and you should be you
know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (17:50):
How that could cause problems?
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Man?
Speaker 4 (17:52):
How do y'all work through that? And y'all stay so
positive state on the same page with everything.
Speaker 10 (17:56):
So I'm gonna be honest. I just never subscribe to
what other people thought. You know, I feel like other
people just project their ideas what happens in their life.
That doesn't mean that it's not true. It just happened
to you. So for me, I'm like, I'm going to
build what I want for myself. And K is the
same way. So we like, yo, let's just build happiness. Cool,
let's just make money. If that's your best friend and
y'all living life, it's like, yo, let's do this together, so.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Listen, big dreams.
Speaker 7 (18:19):
Since we were eighteen years old, I've been together almost
twenty three years fifteen, and it's like nothing like doing
it with a partner. But I will say, because we
both work so hard, we have to allot time to
clock out because it could be a lot sometimes when
you're just always working with your business partner, your co host.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Sometimes I just want my man. Sometimes I just want
my dad, you know what I say. So, yeah, we
try to balance it as best you can.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
But I also been through so many different stages, right because,
like you said, y'all met when y'all were super young.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Sports, you know what I mean? Acting podcast?
Speaker 5 (18:50):
What was the hardest part of the marriage when it
came cause I know, cheating even came up. Y'all talked
about that. Y'all are se transparent and a lot of stuff.
Speaker 10 (19:01):
Yeah, be honest, the hardest part for me would be
the transition from the NFL.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
I was two thousand and seven.
Speaker 10 (19:08):
That was the hardest part because just as a man,
when you don't feel like you can provide for your family,
you don't feel like you have a purpose. So for me,
and that's where a lot of the issues came in
our marriage early was when I was going through that transition.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
I didn't know who I was.
Speaker 10 (19:23):
You know, I'm like, damn, I wanted I want to
do TV film, don't know how to get there? Yeah,
I want to make more money. I don't know how, Like,
there's no prerequisite to get into TV film. So when
you're going through those insecurities, you tend to take it
out on the person who's closest to you. And that's
the person I saw every day. So everything that went wrong,
I blamed her. It was seventy two degrees outside I
wanted seventy five. I'm like, this is your face, and
(19:46):
you're like, what the hell? But for me, that was
the hardest part. And then but that was also the
part that made me realize I had somebody, because when
you're going through your worst and you can't, like you're
going to shower, you trying to shout one and you're
sitting in there crying on the toilet because you don't
want your wife to see you like this, and then
(20:07):
you come out, you wipe your face and she's just like,
what's up. She knows, and I'm just like I'm like,
nothing's wrong, and she's just like, yo, whatever, that's what
we say wrong.
Speaker 6 (20:17):
Whole thing is like whatever it is, we can do
it that.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
We're rebranding God, ma'am. That's what we're doing with Alice
ever after.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Right. So originally the podcast was dead Ass. The podcast, Yeah,
what the hell was y'all thinking?
Speaker 11 (20:37):
Let me tell you, Yes, we got to show straight
out of Brooklyn, so this is this is where you
learn business?
Speaker 7 (20:55):
What?
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Right?
Speaker 10 (20:56):
They were like, what do you think about names for
the podcast? We've come up with a whole one, right,
And I was just like that it is corny. I
was like, we need something that's real, like Brooklyn, Like
dead Ass.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
We letting go.
Speaker 7 (21:07):
Yeah, okay, we really moving out of Brooklyn was a
big freaking dealer.
Speaker 10 (21:13):
So we were sitting in this meeting with them and
then we're like, we want to do dead Ass podcast.
Speaker 6 (21:17):
They're like, that's never going to work. We can't market it.
Speaker 10 (21:19):
I said, well, then you don't want podcast. This is
a hell you want to die on. I said, it
is a hell I want to die on my people
from New York.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
So they planning to keep it dead Ass in the podcast.
Speaker 10 (21:35):
And we kept it, and they told us this is
this is a true story. They were just like, well,
in order to recoup the you know, you will give
you a fifty thousand dollars up front. Shout out to
Tyler Perry because Tyler was just like, yo, don't ever
accept the offer they give you up front. They give
you this so much more money behind it. You got
to know your value. So there was like, you know,
we get fifty k signing boneses. I don't want that.
(21:57):
I want percentage of the revenue and I want that.
And it was just like with dead Ass podcasts, you're
gonna have to do sixty thousand downloads in the first
six months in order to recoup the fifty I said,
when they keep the fifty I don't want it.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
I said, sixty thousand. This is knowing the value of
your audience.
Speaker 10 (22:13):
First week we dropped the podcast, we did two hundred
and seventy five.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
Ye how about dead Ass?
Speaker 10 (22:22):
Was like, y'all can get whatever I want. Now they
had to pay us that revenue split. But also they
was pushing dead Ass as much as they could. And
then we found out that there's certain things you can't push.
For example, you don't get no radio spots when the
name of your spot is dead ass.
Speaker 6 (22:36):
You can say dead ass.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Which is not fair because they say ask in the Bible.
You see what I'm saying about. Lauren tru Trump said
I need to do what Yeah, that's cool. I was legal.
Speaker 5 (22:50):
Cash crowd question sixty second second, jay Long?
Speaker 6 (22:56):
What's going on with you? How you feeling?
Speaker 4 (23:00):
Oh boy, jayl you're excited about getting a shot at
this thousand dollars?
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Yeah, okay, I believe her. Are you sending line out
you in college? No, not that fame.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
That's the perfect time to win this money. Perfect alright,
so we want to have it. We're gonna give you
this opportunity. Okay, Now here's the rules, Jayla. You got
sixty seconds to answer ten questions. For every correct answer,
you'll get ten dollars. You get all ten, right, you
win a thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 6 (23:31):
If you don't know an answers to one of the questions,
you can say pass.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
We'll come back to that question as long as we
have time and make sure whatever answer you give is
the one that you want, because we have our judge here,
Big Med.
Speaker 6 (23:41):
He's very strict about that. All right, okay, all right, cool,
We want.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
To hook you up with a free answer. Loreos got
something for you.
Speaker 5 (23:46):
I'm gonna give you this answer because as before, you
was born two thousand and four.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
That was the year you were born, was it?
Speaker 8 (23:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Okay, all right, so you got that. That's your free answer. Okay,
are you ready?
Speaker 4 (24:01):
I have sixty seconds on the clock. The clock begins
in three to one. Here we go. What is the
biggest bird in the world.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
You could passy.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
What's the name of the two thousand and five Category
five hurricane that devastated New Orleans? What year was Facebook created?
Two thousand and one, two thousand and four, two thousand
and five. Name a body part that keeps growing for
your whole life? What was the last state admitted to
(24:40):
the United States of America. What was the last state
that was admitted and made a part of the United
States of America? Which number does the Roman numeral X represent?
You still got more is in the tongue? What degree is.
Speaker 6 (25:03):
A right angle?
Speaker 2 (25:06):
What degree is the right Yes?
Speaker 6 (25:11):
Take back to geometry classy. All right, so tree, you know,
but I got to hear that.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Soul Trade times already, But let's go ahead. You're going No,
we got it, give it this what is it?
Speaker 4 (25:24):
Soul Train was created and hosted by which TV presenter
Montel Williams, Arsenel Hall or Don Cornelius.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Don alright, you shocked me. I thought she's gonna say
a little booty. Okay, what's the name of your high school?
You're from high school? We gotta shut that thing down.
We got it. Tell them I want them shut down immediately.
(25:55):
We mess some accreditation. Yeah, but we love you though,
and we're going to help you out a little bit. Okay.
The biggest, the biggest bird in the world. We were
looking for Ostrich, the Ostrich. I was thinking about that.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
But yeah, we would have taken that or Ambrose.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Oh no, no, no, we would have took baby bird.
Speaker 8 (26:15):
Man.
Speaker 5 (26:16):
Okay, what is the name of the two thousand and
five Category five hurricane that devastated New Orleans. We were
looking for Katrina, Hurricane Katrina. What year was Facebook created?
I gave you this answer, and you still got it wrong.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
It was two thouars.
Speaker 5 (26:32):
Yeah, I'm like, I thought for sure you would remember
since that's your birth year, right, the name of body
part that keeps growing for your whole life. You just
was overthinking or maybe you have pressure.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Guess I was nerving. Yeah, I could tell because you
know your hair will keep.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Growing, your nails, they say, even your ears, and your nose.
The last state that was admitted into the US was Hawaii,
and you got the other three right, So three is
all you got, right, thirty dollars.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Now it may sound bad, but trust me, thirty dollars.
You know you've done better than something that.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
The fact I've gotten that, we just figured that a
lot of these questions you might have just learned, right,
that's what we lost.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
This all right, Well, it won't be your last. I'm
sure we'll have you back on again and you'll redeem yourself. Okay, Okay,
thank you all, appreciate you. That's Jal on the line
from DC. She just won thirty dollars thanks on the
thousand dollars cash grab. If you feel like you want
to try and give it a shot, text cast is
seven one zero zero seven. You could be up next, right.
(27:38):
What's good Baby, Yester? Morning Hustled with Loreal and Kyle.
Say it, Tillian, you know we got that wide open
door policy, you know what I mean, guests pull up
on us and our guest today she's part of the family.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
She's part of the podcast family.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
We tell you all the time to listen to it,
and she's here in the studio The Brutally Honest Podcast
with Tory Hart.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
Tory Hart, Yeah, I feel great. I love you too. Yeah,
we got it.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
We got an opportunity to work, we got lifting a
black time.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
And did that kind of spark some interest to go
in this podcast route?
Speaker 9 (28:13):
You know, I had this idea for nine years and
I had another podcast too called Breaking Through a Toy
that was kind of like, I feel like, my introduction
and getting everything in order.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
And then I met my producer Matt and now we
are doing it.
Speaker 9 (28:28):
So yeah, I know that's what came happen, right, But
that actually gave me some more confidence too.
Speaker 5 (28:35):
Doing listening to black women. You did amazing, man. Your
views on so many things really was eye opening. And
I feel like a lot of people that wasn't like
privy to you just not being funny all the time
got to see a different side of you, like a
different audience.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
So how does that work out for you? Though?
Speaker 5 (28:52):
When it's like I know, people think like things are
fun and games. When it comes to comedians, they're always
coming to y'all like, oh remember you left right.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
You're like, nah, I'm like, I am a person.
Speaker 9 (29:04):
I'm a human being first, you know, So I don't
feel like making people laugh every single second of every
single day, you know what I mean. So I feel
like when it calls for a laugh, it just happens naturally,
unless I'm doing stand up. Like if I'm on stage
and I'm performing, that's different because people came to see me,
you them lack, so that's different. But if I'm just
walking down the street or just in a regular conversation,
(29:26):
like I'm not just gonna be cooning for you all day,
you know what.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
People always telling me a joke. No, I'm not gonna
tell you a joke.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Yeah, when you're talking about being brutally honest, like you
know what I mean, A lot of people say, Okay,
there's honest and then.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
There's brutally honest.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (29:44):
For you, what does brutally honest actually mean?
Speaker 7 (29:47):
Like?
Speaker 6 (29:47):
How hard are you going when you're giving your opinion
on things?
Speaker 9 (29:51):
I mean, I'm being very very honest and the questions
that I ask people, you know, I'm expecting them to
be brutally honest. So's it's no hold bart with the show. Yes, yeah,
it's a lot. I mean I just had man Yetta
show on to show her and her husband, and you know,
they're in an interracial relationship, and I asked you they
do race play in the bedroom and you know, so
(30:12):
that's a very very forward.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Yeah, straightforward, it's very straightforward.
Speaker 9 (30:17):
I asked her about Neo and how she feels about
him running around here with three different women and they
have kids together. So it's like, those are the types
of questions I'm really digging into.
Speaker 5 (30:27):
Yeah, stuff like co parenting and co parents as well,
and that's something that you also go through with Kevin. Obviously,
everybody knows that you were previously married to Kevin Harten.
I did see that you said no to marriage again
because you sacrifice. You felt as though you sacrificed your career.
Is that something you're standing on that comment?
Speaker 9 (30:50):
You know, if my mind has changed a little bit,
you know, but in that moment, I definitely felt like
it was really no.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
But I mean my mind's changed a little bit. I'm
open to it. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (31:01):
What made you feel more open now? You know, because
you meet people and you know, they change your views
on it and your perspective, and that's what's happened to me.
So yeah, I'm feeling a little different now. Yeah, because
when you say.
Speaker 5 (31:14):
Sacrifice your career, I understand may at that time, but
right now it looks like business is booming. Thanks listen.
Speaker 9 (31:20):
Right now it's they I tell people like I am
dating and I tell them, look, my career is first.
So if you're in my life, you have to understand
it's my kids, my career, and that's what it is.
And if you can't handle it, then you're not going
to stick around for a long time.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
A yall hustle is man Tory Hart comedian Torri Heart
hanging out with us on the morning Hustle show more
were her and her funny self coming up next door
moves to Morning Hustle.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Get up? You know how we doing baby? We are
here for you.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
It's the Morning Hustle with Lorial Kyle say it, Tillian
Eltson Walker running around and uh yes, Elson is a comedian.
But we had to get somebody else to come stop
buying hogh at us. Today, median Sory Heart is in
the building. Can we talk a little bit about Sore?
Could you explain that's what that is exactly you're doing that.
Speaker 9 (32:08):
So Sore I can't really take credit for Sore. Sore
is me and my sister. But Sore is starting over
again Ready. And that's a nonprofit that came about because
me and my sister both went through you know, divorce
and had to rebuild and start over. Hers was a
little bit more traumatic to minds because she was in
an abusive marriage. So it's basically you know, starting over
(32:30):
again ready, And you know, we're helping women who want
to get out of certain situations and they don't know
how to start over or they don't have the means
to start over.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
So that's where Sore came about.
Speaker 5 (32:41):
I love that Yeah, that's something that we need because
people don't think about that. I was like in a
relationship that was abusive and financially too, because when I
got out of it, I really didn't have any money
or anything. I wasn't we weren't married, but I still
was put in a situation where I had.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
To go back home. People don't know how.
Speaker 5 (32:58):
Hard that is, especially if you still I'll have the
guy bothering you, right, and you don't have your stuff
all the way together, or you run away from a situation.
So I think that that's really dope what you you
ladies are doing over there.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 9 (33:10):
And that's usually why most women stay because they don't
know how to be on their own, especially if you've
been in it for a long time. It's like and
he's taking care of all the bills, and you know,
you don't have a roof over your head anymore.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
It's kind of like, let me just deal with this,
and a lot of women deal with it, especially if.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
You have kids that like all another right exactly, So
like at what point, like who would you say, is
somebody that you leaned on at like your time when
you knew you had to get yourself back together and
put your feet back on the ground.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
I mean my mom, Yeah, yeah, my sister, my mom.
Speaker 9 (33:48):
But like I said, it wasn't like, you know, Kevin
has always been, you know, there for me, like if
I need something, I totally believe he would never see
me out on the street, you know, or out like
down bad like that, you know what I mean. So
more than anything, it was just we just weren't supposed
to be together anymore. Like I couldn't take some of
(34:09):
the things he was doing, and I got to a
point where I stopped sleeping with him. You know, That's
another thing people don't know. It wasn't just like Kevin
just left me. No, I stopped sleeping with this man because.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
I was like, I can't.
Speaker 9 (34:20):
It's just it's not there anymore. So for me, it
was like I'm okay with what happened. I just have
to you know, process it. But with processing it, I
don't think I would be the woman I am today
if I didn't go through all of that. So it's
made me a better person. And now I'm like I
have that strength, I have the courage. I'm like, okay,
now God is really I'm walking in my purpose and
(34:43):
I'm thinking yeah and shining, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Well, look, man, you've done your thing. You're here, you're
represent and you're doing well. You're on the family with
us now. You know what I'm saying, I brutally earnest
podcast to hart.
Speaker 5 (34:58):
Us that you can tell us it's coming up and
give us a little sneak peak of what we have
to look forward.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
To this season.
Speaker 9 (35:05):
I would love Dave Chappelle. I mean, if he would
I would be honored if he would come on. But
is anybody from your Mount Rushmore gonna be on the show?
(35:26):
So I want to be major right here? Are you
asking him the tough questions? Because he did come at
cave on there?
Speaker 2 (35:34):
He did chef for years? Did you ask him those two?
That's like it's like a rivalry, you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (35:41):
Really honest with Sorry Heart is the podcast. Make sure
y'all check it out. We appreciate you man, Thank you y'all,
and we wish you good luck and everything that you.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Don't get to come on?
Speaker 6 (35:51):
Come on, you know, I'm let's get it. That's someone show,
Get up, yo?
Speaker 2 (36:00):

Speaker 4 (36:01):

Speaker 5 (36:52):

the number three is still my favorite number because I
was my favorite player.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
But I mean, you got to go with the home

You don't even know what teams is in his town.
