Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm a hustle.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's some morning hustle.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
Well Loreal and Kyle Simtillion. Yeah, here's some quick inspiration
starts your day.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Check you. Kyle's message of the day.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Kyle's message of the day today is mental breaks are mandatory.
Mental breaks are mandatory. Man, So much going on we've
been dealing with the last couple of days, but even
before that, you know what i mean, We're just in
a very weird time right now.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
People are stressed out.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Okay, our racial environment is trash right now. You got
school shootings and assassinations. You know, groceries and gas are
still hot, you feel me. So there's just so many
things that we're dealing with on a day to day basis. Man,
Sometimes we gotta find a way to take a mental
break from all of it. Find that thing that's going
to take you away, you know what i mean, put
(00:54):
your mind in another place. You know how people like
post like mentally I'm on the beach right now. Stuff
like that takes you to where you need to be,
to bring yourself down to a level where the stress
is not bothering you, even just for a little while.
Do what you gotta do. Go on that walk, man,
Go do that spot day. Okay, go run around in
the park, whatever that may be. Man, find something for you.
(01:16):
There's gonna be just for you. Because Kyle's message of
the day today is mental breaks are mandatory.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Yes, and mine is simple.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
Dating is like a walk in the park, Jurassic Park.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
People like Jurassic Park. If you want to die.
Speaker 6 (01:35):
Lorio has a load owns.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Let's get to it.
Speaker 7 (01:42):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
It looks like somebody's taking a big depth but from
the wrong place.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Hey, yo, and we'll.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
Talk about that and sent a second first of talk
about ice spice. She is putting her foot down on
what words should no longer.
Speaker 8 (01:55):
Be you ex ew what the xenior saying no like
zatty is weird? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, we speak with that.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Oh my god, finally something I agree with. I've never
liked that word.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
And furthermore, it's one thing when a woman says it
that I already didn't like it, but when a.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Man says zaddi, uh, it.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
Gives me the creeph.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
I do not like that word. I never have.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
But she's also opening up because she is on the
cover of Nylon magazine She's also been talking about Taylor
Swift a lot and how Taylor Swift just keeps it
so real. Do you want to hear the advice Taylor
Swift gave her to keep it so real? Yes, as
long as you keep making music, everything will be fine.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Is that how she keeps its cell real? Girl? Please?
That even ella like she is?
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Anyway, she popped out with her fiance Travis Kelcey.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
He has a brand.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
New restaurant that he opened with Patrick Mahomes, and of
course they stepped out to promote it.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Well, I mean to go on.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
A date night, same thing.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
I feel like they only step out whenever it has
something to do with media attention. I don't care when
nobody says. I still think that this is the biggest
business decision.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
For the both of them.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
I don't look at them and see love.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
And like old goals.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
I look at it like, yeah, they're getting to the bag.
Speaking a bag, it looks like this woman wanted to
put a body in a bag. Okay, Kelly Davis, she's
a former wife, Well, she's an a strange wife. A
former nfler Thomas Davis. It looks like he had some
problems on his hands. So the two of them were
married for quite some time, from two thousand and eight
(03:41):
and to twenty twenty four. Apparently they separated because of infidelity.
Clean like, she kept accusing him of cheating with like
six different women. And I guess she just wasn't having
it with this one and decided to come to her
job and Whoopy asked, okay, she put the pause on
this woman. Apparently she's a chiropractor or works at a
(04:03):
chiropractice office, and.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Well she yeah, she's a doctor.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
And it looks like Kelly decided to go up there,
hit her multiple times in the chest, knocked up her glasses,
hit her on the.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Side of the head. She said, not with my man,
You're not okay.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
The two of them have children together, and one of
them is even being recruited to Notre Dame.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yoh, he's seventeen years old.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
And she's like, no, you're gonna be at these games
beside me.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
He's gonna stick beside me.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
So how I run again?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
She went to the chiropractor and lay hands with somebody there,
but boot boom.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Well, it looks like that the lady Laura, doctor Laura
is gonna need a chiropractor her style. This is probably
the outcome the woman that was a security officer wanted
for Cardi B. She probably wanted her to get locked up.
All I know is I said the mug shot. And
she don't regret whatever they said she did. She did that.
(04:59):
She did not regret it. You could see the look
on her face. And she'll do it again. So the
other six women, you better watch your back or go
to the chiropractice.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
For your back, one or the other, okay. And it
looks like a cruise.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Passenger decided to take a dip, but in a different
kind of way. He was trying to escape a gambling
that that he had racked up on the boat's casino.
Sixteen thousand, seven hundred dollars he owes this casino. So
he was like, listen, I ain't giving him this money.
You know what i'ma do Instead, I'm gonna jump off
the boat. So he decided to jump off the boat
(05:33):
in Puerto Rico, the San Juan right and somebody seen him.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
They're like, oh, let's help him on the jet ski.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
He's like, nah, I don't want to let me, you know,
Like what the eyes of somebody on the.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Jet ski going the rest of you like that's baywatch, Maam,
I've been I did this on purpose. When they pulled
him out the water, come to find.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
Out he had like fourteen fourteen thousand dollars worth of
cash on him and now being hit with federal charges.
So not only because you supposed to report anything over
ten thousand dollars, So not only is he in trouble federally,
he jumped off the cruise ship. I'm pretty sure he's
in trouble that way. And he still owes that sixteen
thousand dollars that money was.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Well, I don't even know why people gamble on them cruisers.
You ain't win. I ain't never seen nobody.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Win them never, Never did he You think he just
didn't have an extra two thousand or he was.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
I ain't giving this up. He ain't giving it up.
He ain't want to give it up.
Speaker 5 (06:31):
Well, he gonna have to give it up anyway. Like
you ever owed a large amount of money for gambling?
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Hell no, I said earlier. Man, I'm glad that I'm
I'm a low budget gambler. Like I lose one hundred
and fifty dollars, I'm done.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
Yeah, Like I bet somebody a large amount of money
and he never gave me the money, like and I
felt like it was only because I was a woman.
And still to this day, I don't like you, Dwight Freeeny.
I'm therry, y'all that's out.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
You never following me.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
I signed Larry yu Illo iri out or went out.
So it was over a Super Bowl game. Man, I
don't know if he thought I ain't had the money,
but he lost and he never gave me that money.
And like even like, yo, you know you're wrong, give
her that money and he never did.
Speaker 3 (07:14):

Speaker 1 (16:31):

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Listen this thing. It came down to the buzzer. It
came down to a search and at the end of
the day, I.
Speaker 5 (16:59):

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Time, right, congratulations, you get the money, baby, thousand dollars.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
You can't even celebrate in peace with this hater.

Louiso has a loan down here you go, take.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
On the hustle.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Let's get to it.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Looks like somebody shooting this shot, but they might have
the wrong target.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
Well shots are being shot, Okay, not those kind. We'll
talk about that in the second. First, let's talk about
Real Housewives of Atlanta. Looks like our girl, Kelly Farral
from the Real Housewives of Atlanta is in a bit
of trouble now. She has a restraining order on her
from a neighbor. This is all because apparently she ran
(18:07):
in the neighbor's house and tried to put the pause
on her. It's so crazy because Kelly is like five
feet tall, but she'd be ready to go at any
given time. So apparently she's had an issue with this
neighbor quite sometime.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
It's the HLA situation. You already know that could get
a little trick.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
But apparently Kelly has been parking her car illegally in.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Like a fire lane.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
So they told her she couldn't park there, like you
can't park there as a fire hazard, and she didn't listen,
so they put a boot in her car. But this
is not the first time. So this time she was like, look,
I'm tired of it. I'm gonna go run down on
this lady. And the lady called the police, and let's
just say it didn't end so well for Kelly. So
now she has the restraining order she was on somebody
(18:50):
that lives next door to her. Now she will be
going to court Septeve and twenty second. But I feel her, y'ell, like,
especially when you're paying a lot of money to stay
in your home, like you, you spent a lot of money,
whether it's mortgage, foxes, ho wave fees, and then somebody
trying to tell you where to park by your house,
So where how short your grass is supposed to be
(19:13):
in your lawn?
Speaker 3 (19:14):
I would normally agree, except for you said it was
a fire liner. That's the only problem.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
The only person in danger is me.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Like, if it's my house, I want to park where
I want in my house. Maya business Karen?
Speaker 9 (19:27):
Yeah, Actually I could see somebody going overboard too, especially
with a shouting match like you doing too much?
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yeah, but roll up?
Speaker 4 (19:35):
No, she not roll up on it.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
She just walked up in her house running the bighter.
It's with the woman, as a legend happened. We're not
we're not really sure if that's what happened. But according
to the woman, she got that restrained in order, So
something happened.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Let's talk Neo.
Speaker 5 (19:47):
He sat down on ky Sanat's Mafia don three stream, Yes,
go support ky Sanat. Okay, and you know what, Neo
also will be on the toime join a cruise so
you could check him in his four love ladies out there,
because that's what ky Sanat wanted to know about. Who
doesn't want to know all about Neo and his women?
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Well, all these love souls. How is your love life?
My love life is phenomenal. I'm in a grave space.
Speaker 10 (20:13):
What made you want to like get into like like
is that so that you just found out within yourself that.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Is best for you? So at this point in my life,
I'm forty five years old.
Speaker 8 (20:21):
At this point in my life, everything I do is
about what's best for me, what's best for my kids,
what's best for my trial.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
And he also talked about how they all coexisted. Okay,
so some people are thinking, like, do y'all take turns
sleeping with Neo or.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
To the women? Obviously, big bab, it's one big.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
Bed and the Alaskan King bed is the only bed
he accepts. That's too California King bed side by side.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
This is a matches you need to get made.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
I'm like, and I don't like to judge people, and
I do know one of his girlfriends pretty well, but like,
I couldn't imagine. And also he said one of the
women was with him and to his divorce. That's before
his divorce. What does that mean anyway? I feel like
it's always one of their birthdays.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
Like, every time I'm.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
On social media, I see Neo posting one of their birthdays.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
I'm like, I was, on average is a birthday every
three months?
Speaker 4 (21:16):
It really is? It is a lot.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
Well, let's talk about a lot right now. A lot
has been going on with this young thug situation. But
according to Lauren Larossa, she's saying that there has been
a request for bands on the phone calls being released,
but that didn't stop somebody from releasing a phone call yesterday.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
But in the meantime, you know, I've been booked up
about you and I just can't do that direct I'll
love to come people kind of times. Did you know
it's queen treatment only?
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Who do you think?
Speaker 1 (21:46):
And guess what? Guess what I said?
Speaker 5 (21:49):
Okay, So basically what Mariah the scientists are saying, what
she's She's basically saying what Kodak slid in her d
m and said. And that's you know, I Understan saying,
your dude is going through his situation, but you could
be with.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Me until then.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
So he's interested or he was interested in dating Mariah
the scientists.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
He said queen treatment only, okay, And he.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
Wasn't really worried about the fact that she was with
young thugs. So she's telling this too young thugs on
the phone. Obviously you would think that would make somebody upset,
but he laughed it off a little bit.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
So yeah, he shot a shot, but that's not it.
Speaker 5 (22:26):
It looks like there's a lot more drama coming from
the Yasouth situation. It looks like according to wolf Pack Label,
which is Little Baby's label, not only did he push
his album leaks back but he's actually retiring from music.
According to their Instagram posts, they're saying that Baby is
done with music, and people are speculating it's behind all
(22:49):
the things that came out between P and QC Quality Control,
Little Baby, the things that was said, the things that
was heard. Do y'all really believe that we won't get
another album from Little Baby?
Speaker 4 (23:01):
Or is that just like right now?
Speaker 3 (23:02):
I think he probably feels a way right now. You
never know, like a year from now, he could be
in a better space and decide to get back to
the music.
Speaker 5 (23:08):
He's rich enough to retire for sure. And I do
believe that right now this is a mess. And if
I was involved in this situation, if you're not Gunna,
who's already out there and winning, I think sitting back
and chilling is the only answer. But Kodak is a savage.
It don't matter to him what he doing.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
He like, i'll talk to you.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
He in jail, I'll take care of you.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
I'll give you back when he gets he but he
don't want to get no money to his baby mamas.
Come on now, Riel, that's the lowdown. Still love you, Kodak.
You can follow me at don Lriell I.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Know you listening.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
L O R E.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
L or morna Hustle show.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Allright, stick around, man, we got a guest visiting us
in the studio.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
J I. D.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
We're gonna sit down and let you hear our conversation
with him coming up next.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
What's good, baby, it's the.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Morning Hustle Lrel Kyle said, Tillian, you know love when
we have guests in the building. Man, and this guy
right now is all fire doing this thing. He said,
he's the best rapper under one hundred years old.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
What's happening with you, bro?
Speaker 8 (24:14):
Man?
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Bro appreciate you all him?
Speaker 7 (24:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (24:16):
For sure? God does like ugly? Album is fire. It's
making a lot of noise right now. It's crazy. Why
does God like ugly? What about ugly? Does guy like
to see?
Speaker 6 (24:26):
It?
Speaker 8 (24:26):
Ain't even about the ugly part. It's like like one
man trash another man. It's like perspective, you know what
I'm saying. It's on something like come will you come
as you are type?
Speaker 1 (24:35):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 8 (24:36):
So it was really just my perspective. But I ain't
coming with the title. My grandma came up with it.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
You know what I'm saying you have.
Speaker 5 (24:42):
Your family involved in the music. I sell your mother
helped you with the Glory record. Wow, you just got family.
The family is well tapped in we see.
Speaker 8 (24:51):
Yeah, I got a big family, so you know what
I'm saying. There's a lot of resources.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
There is that also your child on the album talking
all right, yeah, to check for your little boys.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
I'm gonna keep that slave laborer. No, that's not that. Yeah,
bars though, I'm gonna sign them to a little three seven.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
You always been godfearing because you know the title of
the album, Glory.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
You know we're from the South. Yeah, sorry, y'all from
out y'all from No, no, No, but we've been here
long enough. From the South.
Speaker 8 (25:25):
Yeah, being from the South, it's always like Bible Belt.
You know what I'm saying belowtimating Dixon all of that
like stuff that was like implemented like slavery.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
But it's always been like that.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
We've been giving you a sneak peek with our conversation
with j I. D. We're talking all about God don't
like ugly. You had a line I believe it was
on the Never album when you said, sothern lyricists don't exist.
I guess I'm a myth, you know what I mean.
When people first heard you, they might not have associated
you with Atlanta. Yeah, and you talk about that that
eraror where there was a renaissance, like during that time
(25:57):
period you saw Hi y'all was coming out of Atlanta
with the bars and was kind of bringing a different
perspective coming out of the city of Atlanta. Did you
find that people were looking at you all like in surprise?
Speaker 8 (26:09):
No, not really could We got we got out cast, Yeah,
we got we got like Ti, We got lyricists that
like ran the game, you know what I'm saying for time,
so like me like Earth came like Sis. It's a
few other people that are still holding that torch, you
know what I'm saying. So I don't know, I don't
think they was looking weird, but it was definitely like
a different flavor. Like when you coming into an open
(26:32):
mic or something like that, you are you're gonna hear
a certain type of sounds, and then you hear some
hip hop drums come in, Like when I start performance,
it's a whole different perspective.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
So yes, and no, till I got you, we were
just having this conversation.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Remember yesterday and they were talking about people might consider
you the best lyricists out of Atlanta since Andre three thousand.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
How do you how do you receive that?
Speaker 5 (26:54):
I accepted, But you know what, Atlanta's a little mad
at you right now. Now your tour dates came out.
They a little taste of it, and they see that
Atlanta is not on there at all.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
No, we're just doing it the right way.
Speaker 8 (27:09):
Saving this specifically, we're doing State Farm, so I wanted
to specifically like put that on the admin by itself
and the city. You know what I'm saying, So be
patient and it's gonna be a bunch of like special things,
the guests that pop out, like it's gonna be like
I don't know if Atlanta seen it before, ye crazy show.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Hustlers were letting you hear our exclusive interview with jay
I d more about the man, the music and everything
else he's got going on.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
When we come right back, don't move.
Speaker 10 (27:38):
Field A five with the Morning Hustle.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
What's good, baby, it's the Morning Hustle. Loreal Kyle saying,
Tullian Alta Walker and Lo we're letting him hear this
great interview we did with jay I D.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Let's get back to it.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
You got the clip show? Yeah in La Okay, did
you run in a Kendrick? Because I know everybody wants the
two of y'all to do a feature together. Even a
Rocky said he wants to see it before he died. Yeah,
is that crazy for him to say?
Speaker 1 (28:05):
No? No, no, it makes sense.
Speaker 8 (28:06):
It's just.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Rap.
Speaker 8 (28:08):
Yeah, I want to hear the killers with the killers, right,
normal killers. They want to see what's up? But yeah,
I didn't. Uh it was it was so quick. I
didn't really come across him. But you know, anything can happen.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
As you said, it soon come. You got something coming out. Uh,
there's a lot coming up. So what's what's that? Because
everybody just automatically assumes it's the Kenjeck feature.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Yeah, I just lie and say it. I love that.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Yeah, baby, j I D Man, we had an exclusive
sit down with him. We're letting you hear all of
the details that we're not done. We are not done.
Right back with more from j I D.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
On The Morning Hustle. What's good, baby, it's the Morning Hustle.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Loreal Kyle saying, Toli and Alta Walker and Lo, we're
letting him hear this great interview we did with j I. D.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Let's get back to it.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
One of my favorite songs probably from you period across
the board system that you know what I mean when
you talk about your sisters and your sisters getting into
fights and just as a family you're all getting in
the situations and fighting for each other. It just reminds
me of me and my cousins coming up and stuff
like that. So I'm curious as to how your sisters
and your family and your brothers. You talked about having
a brother locked up, Like, how do they see you
(29:19):
now that you've been able to make it and succeed
in this game? And you know, are they a part
of I know you talk about them in the music,
but they are a part of the movement, the part
of the business. How are they interconnected with your career.
Speaker 8 (29:30):
I'm the youngest by let me say, five six years,
so it's kind of like a different dynamic now being
like the youngest and then kind of.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Like having a bit of success.
Speaker 8 (29:45):
I don't work with none of them, but they're older,
they got kids and all of that stuff. Maybe like
my brother and my cousin come in and help sometimes,
but not like super pivotal and like everything that we're doing.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
And stuff like that.
Speaker 8 (29:59):
Yeah, but everybody understands what I'm doing. They respect it
and we Yeah, they got their own lives and everybody
got kids like my grandma, my mama got like, well,
seventeen's sixteen grandkids. That's crazy, you know what I'm saying.
So it's like it's a whole lot of life going on,
and that's.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
For sure. We've been giving you a sneak peek with
our conversation with.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
J I d Q tip and you mentor correct, how
did that happen? Like how did y'all link up? Even
because I like Q Tip seems like the perfect person
to have advice.
Speaker 8 (30:35):
Time just through the music. Everything happened organically through the music.
It wasn't no like homies was like, hey, you got
to check him out. I guess he found it on
his own and we establish our own relationship. I put
up on his crib, played in the it could have
been DiCaprio two album because Leonardo DiCaprio one of his
best friends. So I put them on and played them
that album. Talked to DiCaprio on the phone and it
(30:57):
was just super cool, bro, because He's like a super geno.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
And he became a big fan to Leo. You was
telling a story about y'all going to dinner, but you
said you wasn't picking up that bill, right.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
Yeah, how do you know?
Speaker 5 (31:10):
Like when do you judge when you're going to pick
up the bill and when you're not? Because you got it,
you ain't like you got it buying no meals with that,
I mean anywhere any other time, because I'm pretty sure
he's sat now with you people.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Yeah, with the family. But you got more to me
your pain, so that work.
Speaker 5 (31:27):
Whoever got leave before the gets you.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
Like you, col is paying for sure.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
He like you got it.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
I know you got it.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
You got this. I'm out.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
I love that speaking all the money though, there was
a time period in your life when you was broke.
He was driving around delivering pizzas for Domino's Pizza, and
there was some comments made about you're not getting rid
of that car.
Speaker 8 (31:51):
Just as I stole it somebody I was about to
ask you if you I fixed it up for one
of my brothers to use, and he got stole from
the hotel. That's craziness city of course here.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
That's supposed to be a reminder like, look how.
Speaker 8 (32:07):
Far I can it's somebody else from myself crazy, And
then they discontinued at G six two thousand six twenty eight.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
Rightsh I'm so massive?
Speaker 1 (32:18):
All right? Did you feel away? When I'm sure you did?
Speaker 2 (32:22):
I was here.
Speaker 8 (32:23):
It wasn't even on my you know what I'm saying,
on my watch, It was on somebody else who when
none they could really do about.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
It, yo, And that was our sit down with j I. D.
Speaker 8 (32:30):
Man.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
Appreciate that brother so much. Make sure y'all go support
the album and catch him out on tour. If you
missed any part of the interview, you can check it
out on our Morning Hustle on YouTube page at any time.
All right, someone to hustle.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
She just watches it.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
So you don't have to.
Speaker 5 (32:48):
Here allows shows Mona had to show loyall. And today
it's such a special, amazing day because we are celebrating
twenty five years of making people laugh, talk, cry, all
that good stuff, the Girlfriend's anniversary. Okay, just with yesterday.
(33:09):
I cannot believe that this is amazing. We have Jill,
Marie Jones and Golden Brooks on the line.
Speaker 4 (33:16):
Thank you ladies for joining us this morning. How y'all
feeling wonderful?
Speaker 10 (33:20):
Hi?
Speaker 6 (33:20):
Thanks for having us.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
Absolutely, this is a big moment we're celebrating with Kleo
TV eight seasons. This is our bible show right here.
When you're a black woman, you got to watch Girlfriends Now.
Speaker 7 (33:34):
It is.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
It is a doctrine.
Speaker 10 (33:36):
It is.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
It isn't a blueprint for so many other shows that
we've got birth over the years.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
But how special is this moment to y'all? Right now?
Speaker 6 (33:46):
Oh my gosh, it is so special in a way,
I feel like it was just yesterday, but then I
mean twenty five years. My niece knows that it's been
twenty five years, but.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
It's super exciting.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
The fans still being there for us. It's just so great.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
It looks like y'all haven't even aged at all.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
Oh you's so sweet. So who would you say?
Speaker 5 (34:08):
Okay, as far as your own personalities, who did you
relate to the most out of your characters, from Tony
Maya to Joan to Lynn? Is there like personally? Did
you have another character you may have connected to?
Speaker 1 (34:19):
You know, for me, this is Jill speaking for me.
Speaker 6 (34:23):
This might just be an easy answer, but I really
do see myself in all of those women.
Speaker 12 (34:28):
Yeah, so what about you, Golden? What do you think
I have to say that of all the characters, I
definitely played the right.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
One, you know, Maya. I would see a lot of.
Speaker 12 (34:37):
Similarities, but I would also say I'm in a little
bit of everyone. You know, I am like the perennial
student like Lynn, but I'm incredibly orderly Mike Joan, I would.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
Say I'm the least like Tony.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
But but yeah, I know a lot of people online
there was some debate saying who who was the bad friend?
Was it Tony or was it Joan? They were saying
that it would be moments where y'all shaded each other,
and sometimes it was some difficulties.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
Who do y'all think is the better friend?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Jill?
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Who do you think the better friend was?
Speaker 6 (35:14):
I mean, okay, if we want to keep it all
the way one hundred right. The reason why I would
lean a little bit more towards Tony is because she
was unapologetically herself, like she was what she was. But
I'm still like I lean I'm only leaning a little
(35:34):
bit towards Tony for that reason.
Speaker 5 (35:36):
But yeah, can we see a reboot, a reunion, a movie?
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Even? What can we see from you, ladies.
Speaker 6 (35:43):
From of course we get it fans, but also to
you on the inside. Throughout the years, We've always heard talks.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
We know that we want to do it.
Speaker 6 (35:52):
It's definitely above our take grade, but it definitely seems
like there is once on this other side, on the
creative business side. So I mean, fingers crossed, it happens one.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Day, but I know that we're down to do it.
I love that.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
I love that. Well, ladies, thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (36:08):
We're celebrating with y'all twenty five year, the twenty fifth
year anniversary of Girlfriends. We are watching on CLEOTV all
weekend long. Can you please let the people know where
they can support y'all, find y'all and follow y'all.
Speaker 6 (36:23):
I am on Instagram at It's me Jill Marie and
then on Facebook I'm at miss ms Jill M Jones.
But I'm also on Thread and I'm also on whatever
Twitter is called now yeah, who knows, and I just
don't know what those are, and the.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Real Golden forty seven on all of all platforms. I
love to go on Facebook so much, but Instagram and Thread.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
I love that you, ladies are representing for us.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Always thank you so much for everything y'all do the congratulations.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
You a hustler, I'm a hustle.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
It's the hustle of the week.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
Want to hustle and building, baby, it's Lorial and Kyle
Santillan out walker with us.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
We're here with a hustle of the week? Does he banks?
Speaker 5 (37:14):
He means said none, and I'm laughing, say nothing, said.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Why would I?
Speaker 5 (37:23):
I'm excited for you. I've been seeing you all over
the city. You got big billboards.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
How do I feel like?
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Yeah, my hometown.
Speaker 5 (37:30):
So he's going on tour. Are you touching a lot
of the cities were on in Yeah?
Speaker 1 (37:34):
It's love. Yeah, appreciate it. We're part of Atlanta. You
represents side.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
I'm to tell him about the East Side man.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Man, Yeah, it's real.
Speaker 10 (37:43):
Coach over there, a lot of stars, Yes, coach over there.
We made a lot of people.
Speaker 5 (37:52):
But because it's like it has been a lot of
people from the East Side that has blown up. How
does it feel to see each other out and about
in the industry out siut of Atlanta? Knowing where y'all
came from.
Speaker 10 (38:02):
Its inspired, you know what I'm saying. Everybody had a
purpose and the goal and they stuck to it.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 10 (38:07):
They put the work in and you know, they became
the person that they were supposed to be. Yeah, so
it's dope. Bro.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
Now you're out here on an elevation tour. Yeah, you
know what I mean, elevating Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
Yeah, So when I know, you get the love in
Atlanta and we see that, and what is it like
when you go to places like you've never been before,
maybe a west coast city, a northern city, you know
what I mean, and you touch down and the people
they know you from your videos and content, like they
give you the same type of love.
Speaker 10 (38:32):
You know, there's always no place like home, but you know, yeah,
those other places are like dope, Like it's always loved everywhere.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
You know what I'm saying. It feels so good.
Speaker 5 (38:40):
You have a sitcom that you're right right now? How
what's that different for you? Writing your jokes for on
stage versus right and now a sitcom with BT right?
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Yeah, BT in paramount.
Speaker 10 (38:51):
So yeah, I got a sitcom. We'll be starting in
tip of twenty twenty six. Yes, sure is eighty percent done.
So it's I mean, we already wrote the script we're
just going through taking in, taking stuff out, taking you know,
putting stuff in that we feel like they can, you know, better,
the script. But the script is just done.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
You know.
Speaker 10 (39:08):
After that, you go into casting, and not the casting.
You go into tables and at the table reads, you
go into rehearsals, not the rehearsals we should in the
first pilot man, and y'all gonna be seeing the new
Martin on television.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Speaking of this production and the television aspect of it,
I mean just everything that it takes for you guys
to put consistent videos out and content every day. I
don't think people realize that behind the scene part of it,
Like you're consistently dropping content. That means you have consistently
have a cameraman, a producer, editing, and you built a
team about it. Can you just talk a little bit
about what it takes to be that consistent with the
(39:44):
content did you put out on social media?
Speaker 1 (39:45):
Well, you gonna have a schedule, you know.
Speaker 10 (39:46):
I know, for me, I'm gonna drive either Tuesday or Thursdays,
you know, every week. Well, of course, you gotta have
a team, man, you gotta come up with different ideas
or whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
But for me.
Speaker 10 (39:54):
Man, I just try to when to come to my videos,
you know, I just try to stay there. I just
you know, like the video I just did that, you know,
it was a part of the culture, was something that
was going on, and I feel like I need to
be a part of it because I was hitting me up.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
About it or whatever it is. But man, my stuff,
you know, it's real life stuff. Man. I got a
lot of different characters.
Speaker 10 (40:09):
I use, and I'm fielding up and it's so crazy,
like the characters that I'm using. Some of those characters
are going to be into my sitcom. So I'm kind
of like practicing what works here. So if it works here,
I know it's gonna work on a sitcom. Yeah, I
got the new character.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
How's that transition been for you, because you know, at
one point in time, and I don't know if it's
gotten better or that, but there was a conversation about
social media comedians translating on stage and stand up comics,
you know what I mean, and how a lot of times,
you know, success here doesn't equal success there, but you've
been having it.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (40:41):
Well, when it comes to like transitioning, man, it's up
to you if you want to take it serious or
really want to do it For me, I put myself
around real comedians shout out after walking and I put
my second.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
Media shot or too mad.
Speaker 9 (40:56):
I keep around so I won't get too great.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
You know, it's crazy.
Speaker 10 (41:02):
Like I remember I was getting I was starting my
my first big Atlanta show, uh uh uptown, and I
remember we was in my apartment.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
We was working on the joke.
Speaker 10 (41:13):
Like I still got some of the recordings that's on
