And I'm gonna tell you why.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
All right, we'll get into that. And it's Friday. You're
gonna hold this day.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
With the LoDown, that's right. And today is the day
did he get sentenced. We're gonna talk about that and
who's helping him out. But Kim Kate says she had
a hit on her. Plus ray J is really serious
for once, and I think I believe him.
Speaker 6 (00:58):
Let's talk all about it coming up and low down.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
How are people supposed to know what to watch this week?
Speaker 7 (01:03):
Is?
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (01:03):
You know, I'm gonna hold them down with low shows
and let you know what new shows are out on.
Speaker 6 (01:09):
Especially Netflix. Y'all know that's my favorite.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
But a show that is going away, a show we
all love, I can't believe this, say it ain't. So
I'm gonna let you know all the shows you need
to know according to who.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Me low Let's kick everything off right now with a
good word. It's time for Kyle's message to today.
Speaker 6 (01:24):
Woni do it? Yeah, here's some quick inspirations start your day.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
No checkut Kyles message today. Kyle's message to the day
today is respect the journey. Respect the journey. Things build
over time. I was having a conver you know, a
lot of these messages come from just my life. I
was having a conversation with my daughter right just kind
of worried about the future and making sure things are
happening properly. And I said, listen, you're doing the things
(01:52):
to build the pathway to where you want to go.
It's not just gonna happen today till tomorrow. You understand
what I'm saying. Everything that's happening right now, it's working
towards the future. Every day there is a brick in
the wall that you're building in life. It's a page
written for the book.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Okay, you have to just keep stacking these moments and
work towards the outcome. That's how things work. It's not
just an escalator ride, an elevator ride to the top
the next day. That's just not how things go down.
So if you're feeling a little, you know, frustrated that
things haven't happened for you yet, Yo, you just keep
working towards the goal.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
You're on your way. You're closer today than you were yesterday.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
You're building your resume more today than you had yesterday.
Then you're doing all of the things to put you
in the right direction. Just keep going, all right. Kyle's
message of to day today is respect.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
The journey, and mine is you know you're getting old
when the candles cost more than the cake. It's almost
Alton's birthday, and yeah, you're old. O. My voice is
your voice is old, and your cake.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
Is going to be old too.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
If I put a candle for every year.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
We ain't gonn have no cake.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Oh yeah, a stick around.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Many were go into those full lines, So you can
tell those things that are not acceptable today, but they
were back then.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
I got one better for you. Here, you go out.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
An age is something that doesn't matter unless you're achieved, ye.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Or wine.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
Lorio has a LoDown.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Here you load down, hustle. You know what they say.
The Kardashians are keeping up the lines.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
And if you think your house is clean, I'm about
to burst yet bubble. But as you said, let's talk
about the Kardashians. Okay, it looks like Kim Kardashian is
seeking out and she is claiming that somebody close to
her put a hit on her.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Someone extremely close to me put a hit out on
my life. Everybody's kind of on edge. I heard Bookstup
walking into my room. I am terrified, out of my mind.
I'm happy it's over. You are such a lie. I
hope it is right now, but it's at absolutely not.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
I mean, they say anything for ratings, they do anything
for ratings, and that's why I a thousand percent believe
what ray J is saying now.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
Usually we talked about this the other day.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
Usually he's always joking around, he's always being on some
clown stuff. But when he got his serious voice on
is when I believe him. But he is opening up
about that case that he has pending. He said that
there is a reco case that will be set against
Kim Kardashian and her mother.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
They're suing him for defamation. But he's doubling down.
Speaker 8 (04:34):
It's just all about telling the truth, man, Like, I
can't keep getting paid to tell a lie. Bro Like,
just paying me to lie and then acting like like
it's okay to tell me whatever you want to tell
me and treat me like I'm your slaves.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Yeah, I feel like they've paid many of people to lie,
like they seem like all the stories that have come
out just against other people that have been in their
lives that they no longer deal with and then how
all like once they don't deal with them anymore, all
these hateful stories, all these negative stories about these people.
It's giving your paying off the media. It's giving Donald Trump, okay.
(05:07):
And when I look at this situation, I think ray
J should give his day in Core if that's what
he wants, you know what I mean, Like clearly he's
been effected by these people. He's been saying it for
twenty years. He's never went back to mess with them.
Porscha won't be talking to nobody in Africa though, according
to Simon got Boa Boa, he is saying that he
(05:28):
is going to work to cancel her Nigerian residency.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
Hermit okay.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Now apparently he is trying to revoke her sponsorship and
she's like, go ahead.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
And try it. She went to social media.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
She said sixteen office for a passport slash sponsor and
counting you at deasy December. So I don't know, a
lot of people is like she's playing with fire here
because they're like Nigerians stick together. They stand by their
people and they're not gonna let you just disrespt back
to him, violate him, fraud him and then call him
a fraud and then come to Nigeria and just party
(06:05):
during the money.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Have a point.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Yeah, I don't feel like that's somewhere you would place.
She said, I'm American, I could go where I want
except for his stomping ground.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah, that sounds crazy. That's that American arrogance they talk about.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
You know what it is already now when you were
in Atlanta. You may have ran things for Simon Garboo Boa,
but he when he's in his own stomping ground and
he got all that money like that, But she's still
kind of leaning on him to take care of her
because he's paying for that that house, or he paid
for that house. Last, but not least, speaking of a house,
(06:36):
your house may not be as clean as you think
it is. Okay, Now, according to Wealth, they are putting
out these reports that there are some items in your
house that you probably had way too long. Let's start
with this. I already know I'm gonna get y'all on this.

change it? When it looks like it's raggedy, it needs
to be.
Speaker 5 (07:09):
Changed, So that must be quite some time. Once a
month is a little excessive. I feel like that's I mean.

Speaker 5 (07:19):

probably never changed this.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
Every six months?
Speaker 5 (08:21):
About this pillow? Your pillow, change the pillow, you're about
to change the whole entire years one year. Every year
you're supposed to get brand new pillows.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
And how about this. Do you get a new frying pan, y'all?
Or do you just it's time for me?
Speaker 1 (08:36):
I need some new pair.
Speaker 5 (08:37):
Every three years, you're supposed to switch out your and
every How about your mattress? Have you ever changed out
your mattress?
Speaker 1 (08:44):

How did you have to correct somebody between Mario and
Mario Yo.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
At least once I'm be in a gym working out.
Sometimes I don't even have the patience to do it.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
I just keep it.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
I could see you get aggravated with it. That's why
I like, I practiced all night. I promise for everyone else.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
I'm like, I literally was like, mar Rio, you're you're
you're engaged.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Now the baby's on the Like, how many ya didn't
hear that announcement?
Speaker 6 (20:54):
Okay, right, I.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Thought I saw that be.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
But what I'm saying is that, like a lot of
artists that have been in in the industry as long
as you were, like how many kids do they have
by different women and stuff like that, you held it down.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
I mean you know that's just called just being being
top of your business.
Speaker 10 (21:08):
Man.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
I just I don't move frough, move with intentions. So
that's that's all it is.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Talk to you about that before you had kids, Like
even you wasn't thinking about having kids at the time,
so you referred to your child's mom.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Yeah, my girl, girl.
Speaker 6 (21:27):
Your woman out of your safe place.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
So when did you realize, Like, this is where I
felt comfortable, where I could let my guard down.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
You know, we were friends for like years, like nine years,
so we knew each other. We knew about each other's
lives and beliefs, you know, spirituality, all of that, you know.
So once we started dating each other, it was very
easy going and just very transparent. So that's what that's
I think that's what created the space for that type
(21:56):
of comfort for God to eat. Like everything in my
life was crazy because I've had super crazy, disruptive, dark
parts of my life. Then I've had things that has
just happened beautifully and and organically, and this is.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
One of them.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
So what year out of the nine did you teach
her how to now this is your words? Okay, nothing
for right right now, right? So what with that? Within year?
I'm gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
We're going.
Speaker 6 (22:33):
You got to take the off of this singer songwriter.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
There's the reason why I got one on a wave.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Listen, Hustlers, you hit a man in the building, Mario
and you know with us on the Morning Hustle Show,
don't go anywhere more with him coming up next.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
All right, it's the Morning Hustle Show.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
You know what Tom it is Loreal and Kyle saying
to Mario still hanging.
Speaker 10 (22:57):
Now?
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Is there gonna be any other features on Moves besides Kilani?
Speaker 2 (23:01):
We work, we're working on it. We're working on it.
Nothing is confirmed yet. Klannie might be on it, but
we think that's what's confirmed. We you know, we're working
through it. We're working on it. You know what I'm saying,
to release right.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Before tour.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Tickets busy. Honestly, this tour is like I didn't get
a chance to do Glad you came here in America, right.
We did UK, we did something Australia some other days,
but we didn't do America. So this was like, this
is like my gift to my fans to warm them
up for next year when we come back.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Swings.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Of course, the EPs coming out nobody but US's out
right now. The next single Home is very special R
and B Records, So we were all the way in
the R and B back on this project and excited
about it.
Speaker 6 (23:49):
Yes, my boy on his way all right.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Man, when we're rushing you the best, you continue to do,
so man, keep doing what you doing.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
The album, the EP mood.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Swings is on the way absolutely least everybody gets that
when it drops, and of course nobody else is out
right now and nobody Yes, sir, I see honor.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Yeah, well hanging out with us. Maybe you know what
it is. It's Morning Hustle show.
Speaker 9 (24:12):
Conde in the morning, Kidnaped the Hustle, Morning Hustle.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Miss Kathy Hughes, good morning. How are you?
Speaker 10 (24:23):
I'm wonderful?
Speaker 9 (24:23):
Is this Kyle?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yes, it is Miss h How are you hey, miss
a wonderful? Hey, Lareen, how you doing this morning?
Speaker 6 (24:33):
I'm great.
Speaker 10 (24:34):
My anniversary is coming up in forty eight hours, will
be forty five years.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
O cele it's a celebration man, forty five years man.
As Radio one now grown into Urban one, did you
ever envision you know where the company is is now
from the days when you first started?
Speaker 10 (24:53):
No, but I can't it in prayer. We started off
October fourth, nineteen eighty with a low power of power
one thousand and radio station in the number one market
in the country from media the nation's capital, Washington, d C. Now,
as you know, are the largest creator of black content
(25:14):
in the United States. Every week, eighty two percent of
Black America interact with one of our five platforms, whether
they watch US on TV one or CLEO, or they're
a user of any of our social media sites, or
they listen to us on the radio like they do
in the morning, to you the Morning Hustle. Yes, all
(25:34):
of Black America interacts with us in one former.
Speaker 5 (25:38):
Fashion and truly a black owned company, not just not
just a mask over it, you know, with other people
running it. How do you think the role of black
media has changed since you first started, miss Age?
Speaker 10 (25:51):
Oh well, it is almost completely disappeared. When I first started,
when I tossed my head in a room, forty five
years ago, there were over three hundred black owned radio
stations in America. Now there are only a little bit
over one hundred, and of that one hundred, about sixty
(26:14):
five of them belong to us.
Speaker 5 (26:16):
Yes, and miss h has been forty five years. Okay,
we know you had so many wins, so many great moments,
but can you just recall one of your proudest moments
to us with the company.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
Are for having this company?
Speaker 10 (26:28):
I think the proudest moment is when my son grew up,
got his MBA from Wharton and decided he was offered
a lot of jobs. Okay, a lot of opportunities came
Alfred's way, but Alfred Charles Lincoln's chose to work for
his mother were quite frankly, he probably had half the
paycheck he would have had if he had gone and
(26:49):
run one of the other major networks. He's considered the
best in the business, black white Latino agent.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
It does not matter.
Speaker 10 (26:57):
He ranks number one in the communications industry. He's an
expert on print and electronic, knows what's going on in
just about every company of any size in our industry.
But yet he chose to sacrifice money he could have
made working for other people to help his mother build
(27:18):
this company this summer. My grandson who's almost seventeen.
Speaker 6 (27:22):
We love him. We love your grandson. Message.
Speaker 10 (27:25):
Thank you, Loriel. So when you ask, my greatest moment
is to watch my business become generational. I'm tired of
every generation of black folks having to start overy. So
Alfred is the CEO, and one day Charlie will be
the CEO. And the fact that so many of you
say that to me means that he's winning your approval
(27:45):
and impressing you on his own.
Speaker 6 (27:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (27:48):
So that's the answer, Kyle.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
What do I want?
Speaker 10 (27:51):
I want to see Charlie be in charge.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Okay, God.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
Listen, thank you, So much for taking a time does
We know you're very busy, but you've done and accomplished
so much. We appreciate you celebrating with us.
Speaker 6 (28:04):
Amazing God love you, miss h Bye, love you too.
Bye bye.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Hustler.
Speaker 5 (28:13):
I'm a hustle to show LORII y'all Hustler out a week.
Speaker 6 (28:20):
We are here with a legend.
Speaker 5 (28:21):
Okay, the godfather of DC basketball is what they call you.
Speaker 6 (28:26):
Curtis Malone is in the building.
Speaker 11 (28:29):
Thank you, thanks for having me.
Speaker 6 (28:30):
How are you doing.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
It's great.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Yes, I've heard so many great things about you. I've
read some articles about you. How does that feel to
be featured in things like Sports Illustrated and have all
these athletes that you've helped, and we'll talk about how
but that you've helped over the years have become successful.
Talk about you in such a positive life.
Speaker 11 (28:51):
Well, it's a great feeling, you know, knowing you changed
and helped so many kids and changed their lives.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
But you know, you really don't know.
Speaker 11 (29:01):
How successful you know you've been until you really find
out you go through your trials and tribulations and realize
how many people admire and appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
So it was kind of the norm for me.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
Yeah, yeah, and you've changed a lot of people's lives.
Your life also changed some people say, or maybe you
might even say, you are living a double life at
a point in time, and you wrote about it in
your brand new book, Duplicity.
Speaker 6 (29:28):
This is the first book you've ever written.
Speaker 5 (29:30):
Yes, what made you decide to put your story and
write your story down?
Speaker 11 (29:34):
Well, I felt like I felt like my story could
help just change lives and get kids and families.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
I think it touched everybody.
Speaker 11 (29:44):
Yeah, So I just felt like writing my story would
be valuable and a lot of people wanted to know
the back, you know, my background and that I went through.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
And so when it came to somebody like a Katie,
who's my favorite player of all time?
Speaker 6 (29:59):
Al fa hive.
Speaker 5 (30:00):
So what is that conversation like that you had with
his mom trying to get her to bring him to
the team, And what was it that you saw in
him that you just knew he would be a breakout side?
Speaker 11 (30:11):
Well, me and Kevin dad we grew up on the
same street. You know, I seen that he could be
a good player. But for me, like anyone else, I
recruited the kids who I felt would fit my program.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Kids that I.
Speaker 11 (30:26):
Felt would be a good player. So for me, I
just went about it as the normal thing. I thought
I could get Kevin because his dad. But I found
out that Wanda Is that.
Speaker 6 (30:36):
Was the real person.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
Let the people know where they can follow. You, find
you support, you, get the buck, all that good stuff.
Speaker 11 (30:43):
Okay, I'm I'm on Instagram. The Curtis Malone the book
is is available now on Barnes and Nobles and Amazon.
So Duplicity by Curtis Malone. Yes, look forward to everybody
getting a.
