Doug Jarvis is a SIX TIME STANLEY CUP CHAMPION..!! He has the distinction of NEVER missing a single NHL game in his entire 13 year NHL Career. Jarvis was the long time holder of the NHL Iron Man Record for playing in 964 consecutive NHL Games – an NHL record that stood for 34 Years until being recently surpassed by Kieth Yandle and Phil Kessel. Doug he won 4 straight Stanley Cups, 1976 through 1979 as a key member of the 1970’s Montreal Canadian’s dynasty. In 1984 he won the Frank Selke Trophy Winner as the NHL’s “best defensive forward”, and in 1987 won the Bill Masterton Trophy Winner for breaking the NHL’s Ironman record for most consecutive games played. After retiring as a player, he continued his “iron man” work ethic as an Assistant Coach and became an NHL Assistant Coach for 26 seasons. He won his 5th Stanley Cup as an Assistant Coach of the 1999 Dallas Stars and then won his 6th Stanley Cup as an assistant Coach of the 2011 Boston Bruins.
