(02:57):
welcome to the Patriot Barbie Podcast. You've all seen this story.
It is blowing up Instagram. It is a mom, a wife,
a teacher who spoke out against the trans ideology and
was fired. Fired for believing that men are men and
women are women, Fired for saying so, Fired for thinking

(03:21):
that girls should have exclusive privacy protection and security in
girls' restrooms who's outraged. I'm outraged, all right, Jess underscore
saying Jess underscore s A Y I N N. Holy smokes.
When this story broke, I had one hundred messages in

(03:42):
my inbox. Have you seen this, lady? Have you seen
this lady? I'm like, okay, I get it. I will
get her on the podcast. So she's here and we're
gonna get the details because you know, on Instagram it's
a ninety second tell your whole story real, but we're
gonna get the down and dirty because I've got Jess
on the show today.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Welcome Jess, thank you, thanks so much. Great to be here.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
You.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah, you still have a smile on your face. You
must be you must be a Jesus believer.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yep. It's an honor to be dishonored for his name.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
So great, good girl. So you know I saw the
ninety second clip. You're like bouncing a baby, going, hey, guys,
I should probably like tell the story, and it's like, yeah,
you probably should. Where did it all like for like,
I mean, pretend that no one knows anything, like what
grade you teach, where you live, how many kids, how

(04:34):
it started the whole thing?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Okay, So yeah, I will start with the fact that
I was teaching in the school district that I was
raised in, actually at the high school that I attended
and met my husband at. I was a straight a student, scholar, athlete,
like all the things, great reputation there. I went back
to that high school to substitute teach. That's when God

(04:58):
said You're meant to be teacher, and I said, okay.
And then I went back to CBU where I had
gotten my bachelor's and went ahead and got my teaching
credential and master's in education there and went back to
Rupa Valley High School, did my student teaching, started coaching,
and I was in my So that's just kind of

(05:20):
a background of where I come from and literally like
how close to home this all is for me, and
how much flip it was when this district fired me.
So I was in my sixth year of teaching, the
very end of my sixth year of teaching, and how
this all came about was really interesting. People kind of

(05:41):
think or assume that maybe I had like a situation
at work with a student that led to this whole thing,
and it wasn't that. It was about a week before
summer break, the end of May last year, and all
of a sudden I noticed on my Instagram page I
was getting some really awful comments on some of my

(06:04):
posts and the way they were like writing, they seemed
maybe like children, and I was like, uh oh, And
I clicked on a couple of their profiles, recognized their faces,
and was like, oh, man, students have decided to find
me on Instagram and they're finding things they don't like about.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Well, what did they not like? Like religious posts or biblical.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yes, that was part of it. So the first one
that I would say, like triggered the whole thing and
kind of sent them on like a further hunt on
my page. The first video was a real I had
made when I was shopping in Kohl's and I was
just seeing all of the Pride clothing that were inundated
with when we walk into these you know, mainstream big

(06:51):
box stores, and this time I saw that they are
now making this stuff for toddlers and babies, and I
took a real issue to that. I enjoy on my page,
you know, sharing things that I think other moms should
know about and stay clear from, and you know, da
da da, And so I was sharing about that, like look,
at what Cole's is making now for your toddlers and

(07:13):
your babies. I mean, children can't even wrap their mind
around this alphabet community and we're just gonna put it
on their chest. And it's just so wrong to me.
So I made a video about that, and they didn't
like that. Of course, these you know, however old maybe thirteen, fourteen,
fifteen year old high school so.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
You know everything in the world already, they're always right,
You're always wrong.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yep. They turn it into hate, and they decide to
feel all all the different things about this feel discriminated against,
you know, feel that I should not be a teacher,
and so they air drop that video around campus to
get all the other students upset that they can, and
then send it into my school district, along with several

(08:02):
other screenshots of posts of mine. And what was really
disheartening was disheartening, but also how do I say this,
It brought understanding to me when my district presented me
with this packet in my first meeting that I had

(08:23):
with them, and at the back of it it set
exhibits and I'm looking through my own posts, screenshots of
my own posts, and eighty ninety percent of them are
Bible versus our quotes about Christianity and God. Boom, it
hit me and like the Holy Spirit just spoke very clear.

(08:44):
This is spiritual warfare. You have entered into some serious
spiritual warfare. So just just just take part. Stick with me.
You know I've equipped you for this. And this is insane.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Just this part of the story has me so far
because they are acting like they're the victims. This whole
story isn't about you speaking out. It's literally your own
right to believe whatever you want, even if it's hateful.
I say this all the time, and I'm sure I
would get crap like I don't agree with racism. People
should not be racist, but people are entitled to be racist.

(09:19):
It's not the worst thing in the world. The worst
thing in the world is that Democrats are killing babies.
But okay, you can't say that because that's hateful. You
having a belief and expressing that belief on your social
media is totally a right. And even if people figured
out that Christianity is hateful, so what, you still have
a right to be hateful. They literally targeted you. They

(09:40):
went onto your page, gathered intel and information and victimized you.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Oh this makes me mad. Okay, I'm glad I have
this story.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
So furthermore, in that first meeting, I was presented with
thirteen allegations. And it's weird to say this now, but
all my life I've always been and anyone who knows
me will say, yeah, that's true. I've always been like
a rule follower, and it's so weird. It's like I
it's like I turned thirty and that's I don't I

(10:12):
don't even want to be a rule follower anymore because
the rules nowadays like it, you know, right, So it
was it was still hard and weird for me to
have allegations sat in front of me, and I was shaking,
and I have higher ups. I had my higher ups
in front of me that have always admired me and

(10:34):
think very highly of me. And now I'm just like,
what are they thinking of me? What are these allegations?
What is going on? But then I start reading them
and again it this sounds a little weird as well,
but like a sense of peace came over me because
again I saw exactly what was happening here. Students took
my beliefs, my opinions, my personal views, you know, my Christian,

(10:59):
Christian conservative and beliefs, and made allegations or claims about
how I do my job. So there, and some of
them are bizarre. So one of them is that I
broadcast sermons to my classes. Even my union rep said,
what do you mean? Does she roll out speakers and

(11:21):
say like, gather around, come listen to this, And that's
exactly how it was worded. And I told my district.
I was like, you know, I'm going to do my
best to explain how I think this could have even
come about as a claim or an allegation. I'm a
pe teacher. On Mondays we go to the track and
students have a running activity, and that's the one day

(11:42):
I let them listen to, like a podcast or music
of their choosing. And I do the same. But I
can't have headphones in because I need to stay vigilant,
walk around with them, you know, make sure everything's fine.
But in my pocket, in my phone just loud enough
for me to hear. I have whatever I would like
to listen to plane which is usually you know, worship

(12:03):
music or a podcast of my choosing. And so yeah,
if a student walked by me, they might have heard
Jesus's Lord or Hallelujah.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Darn, I mean, gosh, I'm all the horrible things in
this world.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
And funny funny thing too, is anytime anytime I've noticed
that a student had had heard something coming from my phone,
they light up and they come to me and they
it strikes conversation and they say, mustapia, where do you
go to church? Or oh my gosh, I love that
song or a Bible verse, do you know? And that's so,

(12:37):
you know, heartwarming for me as a as a believer,
you know, in public education, and so it was so
disheartening to hear that. And then til later on and
I'll get more into detail in this, but then to
later on be told no more.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
And by the way, let's just say that if you
were a teacher who is trans and you were wearing
a transfer flag or you were listening to a trans
podcast and a child came up and said, well, you're trans.
I think I'm trans. What pronouns do you go by? Data,
it would be like, oh, that's fine, you're inclusive. You're
you're teaching the children inclusivity and diversity.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Right exactly.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
If it's God, it's it's completely inappropriate.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yes, I posted something the other day along the lines
of all diversity is welcome except Christianity.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Yeah, send me that, I'm sharing it.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
I will, I will. So at the end of that
first meeting, I responded to all of the allegations and
I was continued on paid administrative leave, and they were,
I guess, deciding what to do next. So they call
me in for a second meeting, and one of the

(13:51):
first things they tell me is what you've done is
so serious. You're lucky to still have a job. You
are lucky. And if if you mess up again, that's it.
So here's the plan. We're sending you back. We're going
to watch you closely for forty five days for change
of behavior, and we're going to give you a plan

(14:13):
of assistance and directives. And it's like that meeting was.
It's actually funny. I posted a video of me leaving
that meeting and I was wrecked. I was bawling in
my car all the way home. And that was the
very first video I posted after being fired. And people
actually think that that's that was my reaction to being fired.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
It wasn't.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
I didn't even know I was being fired at that point.
That was my reaction to learning that day, in that meeting,
I cannot be a Christian and in public education anymore.
That's basically what they've said. And now I'm going to
push for that to be in writing if that's the case,
because every Christian teacher out there needs to know that

(14:58):
if you want to still be in public education today,
you're going to have to drop your faith or choose
your faith and drop the public education. So in that
second meeting is when I learned of the directives. And
so the very first directive that I knew in my
heart and I wasn't. I didn't speak in this meeting.

(15:18):
I just I took it all in the first directive
was that I had to call students by their preferred
pronoun or name. And I already am just feeling like
this is going to be, this is.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Going to so you can't you can't have your own
worship music playing for you because someone might overhear it.
But they can create new verbs, a whole new freaking
dictionary definition of what male and female is not only
like want to be called it, but demand that you
call them. It's insane if you were like you're saying,

(15:55):
if you're a teacher in public schools, you cannot profess
faith or God. However, you can certainly discuss your sexuality
and sexual in windows with children.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, that's perfectly okay, yep, totally backwards. Yeah, and so
that was the first directive that I just I knew,
this is not looking good. The second one, oh, it
was not in writing at the time. And this is
really interesting, but they vocally said to me after letting
me know, you have to call students by their preferred pronouns,

(16:29):
because one of the allegations was that I wasn't doing that,
which is so interesting as well, because I never had
a student come to me and say, missus Tapia, can
you please start calling me? You know, they then never
had it, or even just maybe a biological female saying
please call me he or Bob. Yeah, never had it yet.

(16:51):
Students again found that I don't do the pronoun thing
via my Instagram, found that out and so then made
a claim that I don't do it, knowing that this
could get her in trouble. So very yeah, they took
they took time, I.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Guess, a complete silent sabotage. Yes, and we're the hateful ones.
I mean, they like coalitioned as sexual identifying children and said,
let's get this Christian. I mean, that is what is
happening exactly.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
So they vocally told me after that first directive, by
the way, you have to withhold that information from parents.
If a student ever comes to you with a new
you know, gender preference, you cannot tell parents. And I
was like, whoa, I feel like I'm hearing they're telling
me to lie. So I'm going to ask them straight out.

(17:44):
And I looked at the assistant superintendent in the eyes
and I said, are you asking me to lie to
parents right now? And he said, yes, it's for student
privacy and it's the law. Oh, And I'm just like,
why am I just now finding out about these corrupt directives?
Because I don't think I would have signed up for

(18:04):
this job had I known that I expected to do
these things. And so that was like a second, like
major red flag for me in that meeting. The next
directive was that I from from there on out, I
had to refrain from speaking to students about God or
the Bible.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
And I'm like, oh my god, you know they're treating
me and acting as though like I show up to
work and I'm I'm acting like a pastor and I'm
preaching all the time, and I told my district, when
students come to me with a question, I answer it
and and it's it's according to my faith that I
do have an answer for the hope that I have

(18:47):
if anyone comes asking.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
And so I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna tell students
when they come to me asking a question, even if
it's about God and the Bible, I'm going to give
them the best answer I have. And I learned about
how to do in college in a legal manner, not
coercing or persuading, but being but from an educational standpoint.
And so that was the third one.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Once again, it's complete hypocrisy. Right, if a child comes
up to you and asks about God, you are to
say what that is none of your business, that does
not pertage your education, That is not appropriate. But yet,
if a child were to come up to you and
say do you have a husband or a wife? Like
what what gender do you have sex with? You would
be like, oh, let's.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Talk right or or yeah. Or if a student came
up to me and wanted to talk about the fact
that maybe they're thinking they're the opposite sex. Now, not
only not only do I get to talk about that
with them, encourage it. I even get to or I'm
supposed to ask them, should we keep this from your
mom and dad?

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Yeah, and then keep it from their mom and dad.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Yes, unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
It's insane.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
So after that second meeting, that's when I was truly
in the most turmoil of this whole work trial that
I've gone through. And it's because again, that was the moment,
that was the day I found out about the fact that,
you know, this career that I've spent seven years going
to school for, I'm in my sixth year of it.

(20:17):
I'm now learning I can't I can't be in public
education and be a Christian. I'm gonna have to choose one.
And so they expected me to go back to work
that Monday, and I think that meeting was on like
a Thursday or a Friday, and I was like, I'm
gonna need some time, like I'm a mental and emotional wreck,
because I knew a decision, hard decision had to be

(20:39):
made and at that point, no matter what decision I made,
it was gonna be hard. You know, it was gonna
be hard if I did show up that Monday, Like,
how were students gonna treat me? How was that going
to feel around that? And again on the flip side,
if I chose, you know, to not go back, this
is a ninety thousand dollar salary that I'm putting on

(21:02):
the line that provides for my family. So no matter what,
the decision that was coming was hard and I was
just like not ready to make it and I just
needed time, like with the Lord and seeking counsel and praying.
So I went off on stress leave for three months
from work, and I me and my husband decide that

(21:23):
I should resign. That it was obvious that I didn't
fit in to public education anymore. But I was not
feeling full peace about that, and I could never finish
my resignation letter. I got about half done. I could
just never finish it. And it was the end of
my stress leave, and so I was starting to get

(21:44):
anxiety over the fact that I need to get this
letter sent in, but I can't finish it. I have
a five to three and one year old at home,
so it's very hard to ever sit at the computer
and type something. And my mother in law, I remember
just like I'm venting to her one day and she
was like Jess, there's a reason you haven't been able
to finish that letter. Just tru just wait a little longer.

(22:05):
I'm like okay, and I just pray God. I need
a clear answer like now, like pretty soon. And it
was that weekend I had like a divine appointment of
a phone call with a couple I connected with on
Instagram saw my story and really just wanted to help
in any way they could. And it was a two

(22:26):
hour phone call. It was totally a divine appointment, hands down,
and God gave me my answer through them that I
shouldn't resign. That would be quitting, that would be walking
away from.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
When they would bully you out of your job.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
And I would not have a case. And mm hmmm.
So I was okay, okay, and it was just clear
as day and I just felt just so like inspired
and fired up. And I was like, all right, I
know what to do. And so I emailed my school
district and so this is the end of December, so
the new semester is going to start in January. And

(23:02):
I let them know I'm ready to come back to work.
You know, my stress leaves up, I'm good. I'm ready
to come back to work. Do the best for my students,
as I always have, but I need you to know
there's a few directives that I cannot and will not
comply with. And here's what they are, and here's why.
And so I broke down those three directives explained why.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
They response, which three would you not abide by?

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Yes? So the calling students by their preferred pronoun on
her name, withholding that information from parents, so lying to
parents about it, and then refraining from speaking to students
about God or the Bible.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
And then I'm assuming you like used religious freedom as
your ability to like this goes against my religion to
do these things that you're asking.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Yes, So as I broke down why, Yeah, I mean,
you know, all of who I am is based you know,
on on the Lord and on His way, So naturally,
as I'm explaining these things, yes, my answer and explanation
is coming from my faith. So that's when they respond
and say, okay, thanks for letting us know. We are

(24:11):
going to set up a religious accommodation meeting with you
to see if and how we can accommodate your religious beliefs.
It's it likes so weird for me to still even
like say and think about. But I go into the
meeting and I'm like, okay, like let's do this. Yeah,
let's try to accommodate this so I don't have to

(24:32):
lose my job and go into that meeting and it
was one of the most intense meetings of my life.
The district's attorney, the school district's attorney had about like
three pages of questions for me, all about my faith.
Where do you go to church? How often do you go?
What do you study?

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Like I'm feeling like they don't have the authority to
ask these things either, Like do they I've.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Been told they don't. It was one of the podcasts
I did a couple of weeks ago with Joe Pegs.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with him. He was like,
uh no, that's not.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Yeah, I'm thinking, like, you don't get to sit here
and grill me about my religion. That's also part of
my religion is that I don't answer to you.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yeah, and it's interesting too. I was actually talking to
Seth Gruber about this. He was like, they have a
religion as well, but what we don't get to question it?

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah? Oh, I love Seth Kueber.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
By the way, I love it amazing. And so when
so that meeting happened and they just asked me every
question about my faith, and then they painted scenarios for me. Right,
what if you had, you know, this student wanting to
be called by this wanting it kept from their parents,
Like how would you handle it? They were trying as

(25:50):
hard as they could, asking the same question in different
ways over and over, trying to get me to just
like bend and break and change my answer, and I
was just I was holding firm and they did not
like it. I mean you could see it on their face.
They were not having it. And at the end of
the meeting, so I already knew, right like, they're not

(26:11):
going to accommodate me, Like I can already tell by
their body language that they're not having this. And so
at the end of the meeting, they go, is there
anything else that we need to know about that your
faith doesn't allow you to do in your position? And
I said, yeah, I'm in a unique position. I'm a
pe teacher. I oversee a female locker room, so I'll

(26:33):
let you know now I won't be letting a biological
male into the female locker room. And they go, we
have a whole other issue then, because if the individual
says their female, you know, presents like it's, you know,
pretty believable that they're now female, you need to let
them in.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
And I get aside, pretty believable, Like who's the authority?
How do you define pretty believable? Like, oh, that shade
of lipstick is pretty believably girly. So we're gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Like exactly, And that's one of them. That's one of
the many issues with this right right, It's so subjective,
and so you know what, there were two men in
that meeting with me. One was my union rep and
one was the assistant superintendent. And I look over at them.
I'm not kidding you. They both put their head in
their lap and sat back in their chair. You want

(27:24):
to know why, because they have daughters and because in
their heart of heart they know this is wrong. But
I'm the only one in this room of six people
that's going to speak up and say where do we
draw the line? And you're apparently not going to do it,
so I'll do it. I'm drawing the line.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Good for you. And you know what's amazing is that
entire meeting was a persecution. Whether you see it as
one or not. It's how can we get her to
compromise her faith in any way possible? How can we
get her to denounce the truth and come down to
our level, which is our truth? And you stood so firm.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I forget. Maybe it was a month or two No,
it was it was a month or two ago from today.
I was rereading Shadrack, Me Shack and a Bendigo, and
that story hits another in the fire. That story hit
to a whole other level, you know, with what I'm

(28:29):
going through, And I'm like, wow, like that I was
in the fire that day, like it and I but
I didn't burn because God was in me and with me.
And oh gosh, that story is so amazing, even just
a couple of details I picked up this time around
reading it that I had never caught before before they

(28:49):
took the three and dropped them into the fire. It
says that they turned up the pit, and I don't
know how they started up back then, but seven times
hotter So interesting right with that number, because we know
that number seven is representative of God, so it like
already shows that or foreshadows that He was going to
be in the fire with them, right so okay. So

(29:13):
at the end of that meeting, I'm just waiting now
right to hear what their decision is going to be
about my you know, position, and about this religious accommodation.
And about a week later, I got an email from
them essentially with my termination packet, and they explained why,

(29:33):
and mind you, at the end of the meeting, they said,
over the weekend, if you want to email us with
any accommodation ideas you have, go for it and we'll
consider them. And so I was like, okay, like, I'll
do that. I want to show that I'm doing all
I can to save my job, and my union reps
encouraged I do that as well. So I sent them,
you know, a few accommodation ideas that I had, and

(29:56):
so in that letter they explained why none of the
ideas I have would work, and explained why they can't
accommodate my religious beliefs because first and foremost they need
to abide by these California ed codes and these various policies.
And so they said, we we cannot accommodate your religious beliefs. Therefore,

(30:20):
we're releasing you from employment. In January thirty first of
this year.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Oh my gosh. Okay, so you do have an attorney?
I hope.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
I'm with Advocates for Faith and Freedom. They're right up
the street from me, which is really nice. With Bob Tyler,
he's represented Pastor Rob McCoy before.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Yeah. So okay, so what I don't know? Do you?
Are you comfortable saying what city.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
You're in, I'll say, like a neighboring city I'm near.
I'm near Marietta, Temecula area.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Of so okay. Okay, so I've visited Pastor Rob McCoy's
church twice. Okay, yeah, I love him and that's a
great area. So yes, Oh my gosh, So is it
are you? Are you filing a civil suit, a lawsuit
like claiming violation of your religious freedoms? Do you know?

Speaker 2 (31:13):
I so. The the last meeting I had with them,
we were kind of brainstorming a you know, a game plan.
They are drafting the complaint right now. We should be
filing this month in federal court. And I believe the
the plan of attack is yeah, based on well one,
freedom of speech as well, and then freedom of religion. Secondly,

(31:37):
so sound good.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
They're gonna burn? Remember that they turned the fire pits
up for Shadrack, Mushak and Bendigo seven times hotter, so
hot that it burned the guards.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Yes, it burned.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
It burned its own people. This is what's gonna happen.
They are going to burn because they turned the heat
up on you, and God will refuse to let you
suffer for their sins and their misrepresentations and their lies
and their untruths and their persecution. This is going to
be glorious to watch the phone call with the two

(32:14):
people that like, mm hmmm, saved your life? Was that?
Was that the representation the attorney or was that something else?

Speaker 2 (32:20):
So actually, the wife I had connected with on Instagram
in the faith like her and I just came together
really really strong believer. She's always inspired me with her posts,
and she was just like, I want to help you.
I want to help you know a sister in Christ.
Can you just call me? And also her husband was
just starting his own like law group similar to Advocates

(32:42):
for Faith in Freedom called Righteous Law up in Washington,
so he kind of had you know, some knowledge definitely
in in the area, in the legal area. So yeah,
I definitely got wisdom from them that day. And it
was in there, so.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Are are you so you're not working now or are
you working at a like private Christian school or anything
like that.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
No, you know, ever since I was fired, and I
I had prayed before getting fired because I felt it
was coming, and I let God know if that's what's coming,
I'm going to let you know now. I'll be open
and I will do whatever you call me to do

(33:26):
in taking this story as far and wide as you
want it to go. And He has just been at
it since since the day I prayed that and I
was released, I've been so busy with just like podcasts
and interviews and just sharing my story and it's been
it's been so amazing, such a blessing to watch how

(33:49):
it's you know, inspired people, emboldened people. I'm having a
lot of teachers come to me now for guidance and
feeling like, you know, Okay, she did this. I can
do this, like I can stand up in my faith
at work. And so it's just I've I've been very
busy with just God's plan with the story, and I

(34:11):
haven't even truly been able to like think about what's
next for me. I'm praying, praying about it, and it's
just a blessing to to be home with my five
three and one year old and the long drin home
with them. I'm like, oh, I don't want to go back,
go back out there if I can be with them.
But I mean, things are getting tough, you know, if
I'm being honest. You know, my salary paid our mortgage

(34:36):
and a lot of other things. And thankfully this month
our mortgage was literally paid by my gives send go
that my best friend made me and the donations that
people have sent in. So I'm so grateful for that.
But we're looking at what what are we going to sell?

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Okay, after they give to send to go runs out,
what's really next? Lord?

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Yeah, thankfully we have like a couple spare vehicles, so
we're going to be selling those. And yeah, it's so
weird because I feel like I was like more stressed
about like finances and money when I was actually like
had a salary and didn't have to be stressed about it,
and now that I have nothing, like it's just I

(35:23):
am living on faith more than I ever have in
my life. And I'm like, God's got this.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
It's so incredible. I mean, that's I mean, and that's
a beautiful, beautiful journey to be on is to you.
When people talk about revelations and end times, we talk
about persecution and how you know Peter denied Jesus three times.
I would never do that. I would never do that. Right,
And we don't look like biblical times, We don't turn
our own butter and like sleep on the ground. You know,

(35:52):
this is twenty twenty three. What does modern day persecution
look like? What would it look like to have someone
walk up to you and say deny Christ? Like that's
not going to happen. You're going to be asked what
will what will you give up if you deny Christ?
What will you not give up if you deny Christ?
And for you it was a job that you loved

(36:15):
and a ninety thousand dollars salary and financial security. They said, oh,
just deny Christ and you can keep your job and
keep your money and keep your financial security. And you
you've faced that modern day moment where you said no,
I will not. And so many people don't recognize that
when they face it, first of all, and secondly, unfortunately

(36:38):
when they do, they don't want to lose. Yeah, right,
So k you not for not being Peter?

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Thank you. Yeah, you know, I just I try to.
I try to stay focused on the moment when I
meet him face to face, right, and I want to
be I want to be proud of what I've done
here for his name's sake, and I don't want to
look back and see and realize and have to face

(37:09):
him and tell him, yeah, I kind of put my
head in the sand to keep providing for my family
when really, in reality, and this is something that greatly
helped me make the right decision in this is my
school district might pay my salary, but God's my provider, right, So.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Yeah, they don't even know this, but he runs them
like he runs it all. So you guys took away
my salary. I guess what's going to happen. He is
going to provide a new salary that is glorifying him
and beautiful and more freedom and more money. Like that's
how God works. And these people don't realize, unfortunately, what

(37:53):
it looks like for someone like you to stand up
in faith and say, you know, imagine just what your
life would look like. This will be so encouraging to you.
If you had agreed to their terms and said, fine,
I will do the pronoun crap because it is that
easy for some people. Fine, I still love the Lord,
but I'll do your pronoun crap, and I'll do the

(38:16):
gender thing, and I'll keep my mouth shut. I got
a family to provide for. This is the right thing,
you know. Not everyone can give up everything. That's what
I'm gonna do. Imagine the blessings that God would have
removed from you for denying them, and you'd be working
for these demons.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
No, You're exactly right, and that's honestly. I've been a
believer in my whole life, but you know, you're constantly
growing in the faith. And something that I just maybe
in the last couple of years feel like I learned,
is that we can block a blessing. We can block
a blessing by you know, not being obedient, by not

(38:54):
taking that step out in faith when we have the
opportunity to, you know, be fully reliant and trust in
and have faith in the Lord. And we have to
remember what is what is faith? It's trusting and hoping
and believing in what we cannot see. I could not
see how we were gonna get by, if you know,

(39:16):
I put my job on the line and I lost it.
But that didn't matter. It's not the what that matters,
it's the who.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
And now it's here. Your job was on the line.
You did not deny Christ. You lost it, and it's
going to be I want people to pay attention to
what your life looks like, because it's not gonna happen.
Is you're not going to crumble. Your life is not
going to fall apart, and you are not going to
be in poverty and broke. People can follow your story
and go, I'm watching God literally provide for this woman.

(39:47):
It's like such a beautiful testimony.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
That literally gives me chills. I just posted yesterday troubled,
not distressed, perplexed, not in despair, secuted, not forsaken, cast
down not destroyed in that Second Corinthians for eight through nine,
and it's like, yeah, we're we're gonna experience all of

(40:10):
those things, but it doesn't mean that we're we're being
you know, destroyed. It doesn't mean God is leaving us.
We're not going to be in despair, you know, And
we don't have to be distressed because we know in
the trouble in the persecution, when we're canceled or cast down,
that's exactly where we're gonna find him and he's gonna

(40:33):
he's gonna work miracles and he has been already.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
So cool, this is gonna be like the journey of
a lifetime. There's a weird, probably worldly saying that's like,
you know, man plans God laughs, but it's so true.
Like you and I are both women who planned our
whole life. You know, I was doing hair successfully and
thought I will do hair the rest of my life
and then clearly I'm not. And you went and got

(41:00):
your master's degree and said I'm going to be a
teacher and that is not going to happen. And from
this moment on, doing not what we planned but what
God planned is going to be so much more exciting
to watch and is going to inspire and encourage so
many more people.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Yes, I love you, I love your story, and yeah,
I'm honored to just be used by him.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
So where can people go support you and donate to
your gifts and go and follow you and all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
So definitely follow me on Instagram just underscore say in
three ends at the end, I actually just just posted
a giveaway because I've been just been in awe. I
what two months ago had like three thousand followers and
I just hit thirty thousand. Just people are just coming
out of the woodworks to support and it's just amazing.

(41:54):
So I just posted a giveaway on Instagram and in
the link in my bio might give send go as
well there on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Perfect. Yeah, all right, and then we are going to cheers.
I know you have a little glass of water there.
I saw you drink it, so I know.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
I'm so. I'm such a mom and I rarely drink water,
so I was like, okay, I'm gonna make myself cheers water.

Speaker 1 (42:16):
All right, what are we cheersing to? My dear.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Let's cheers to not fearing man, but only fearing the Lord.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
