If you’re considering cosmetic surgery – whether that’s a breast augmentation, a face lift, or body contouring – you’d want to ensure your surgeon has the right qualifications, training and experience to do the job properly. With so much information available on the internet, it can be difficult to know where to even start to look.

For answers, we speak to Prof Mark Ashton, Clinical Professor of Surgery and Honorary Professor of Anatomy at the University of Melbourne. Prof Ashton explains how all members of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) are certified by The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and have completed specialist surgeon training in plastic surgery.
