Hello, Welcome to the tennis for another week of madness.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Here Novak out of gas, kN Djokovic recover his best
of five Brilliants Queen Arena, who can end the Number
one's reign on the US hard courts and Crystal Bowl
On twenty twenty six, our long range predictions for the
Australian Open and beyond. That's all heped with me with
Zam muellback back from her Korean keynote. Kaper is my
regular co pilot Breday's Stewart.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Good to be back. I kind of missed it last
week a really bit. Jelly.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Oh that's good. Yeah, Well, we're thrilled to have you back.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I'm happy to be here. Krea Korea was great, though.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
South Korea.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I'm just glad you got through customs with all those
Korean cosmetics that everyone asked you to bring.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah, I did, but it was under the threshold, very full.
So if I look young, that's why.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Oh, I just assume you hadn't started using it yet.
And across the desk, a formidable combination of game analysis
and coaching prowess Analyst to the Stars at Simon.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Razor Ray is ipe Good to be back.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
Good.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
You look very sporty today and the performance brand here
at tennis. Yeah, you look like a performer, which is good.
We need that on that it's good to looker.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
That's good.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Deal with a shave.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
But aside from that and Australian Billy Jing Cup team coach,
it's Nicole Paradi Prat.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yes, I'm back. I'm back. It's been been quite a while.
It has good to be so good to have you
back on the pot as well. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah. Has it kind of been, you know, settling back
into the Oussie way of life.

Speaker 6 (01:24):
I got to say it's been a little strange when
I first got back and I came back directly from
New York and I got back to Melbourne and I'm
thinking it's.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
So sleepy here.

Speaker 6 (01:35):
It's sleepy, it is, but it's you know, it's all relative, right,
So but no, great to be back in my own house,
own bed, met the family who had flen back from
Europe as well.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
So yeah, it's terrific to be homed.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Well, we're glad to have you back in the city
that always sleeps. That's what we are.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Or I think it's relaxing. Melbourne's very relaxing in comparison
to New York, it is.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, the corner of Elizabeth Stake can get a little
edgy bid the city. Yeah, But aside from that very
snoozy simon us open run and one.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
So who are you working with in New York this year?
We had a few on there.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
We had our hands full primarily or probably our number
one customer, for want of a better term, our number one.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Partner in crime.

Speaker 7 (02:16):
She's sitting immediately at my left here, certainly our number
one in terms of discerning level of what she's after. So,
you know, Pratty with the work she's doing with all
of our Australian players over there, and I owed her
a thank you, passed it on to her in New
York because she's helped to open the door for a
number of players on the women's side.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
So clearly the work she's.

Speaker 7 (02:33):
Been doing for a period of time now with Kim
Berrel Chris Marney and the work he does with Meyer Joint.
And we know about the twelve or eighteen months that
Meyers had, Pratty's opened the door to us helping with
Destiny with Priscilla Horn who had a fantastic run there
in New York on the men's side, Gavin Van Pepperzil
and Mark Draper, who are a couple of our National
Tennis Academy coaches up in Brisbane, and their players Tristan

(02:55):
school Kate, Adam Walton, Rinky hit Jakata. They're often in touch,
probably some of our more frequent users.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
And becoming quiet household names like your school Kates and
did so well as well.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Right, one match was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, I think that was my favorite.

Speaker 7 (03:10):
Yes, it's one of those men you can you know,
you're so invested in if you can catch yourself in
the middle of it and go how cool is sport one?

Speaker 8 (03:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Absolutely, you even will watch it.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yeah, you're oh my god, this match is good.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Even you will watch, even host of a tennis podcast.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
But yeah, what's during the workday? I would like to indicate.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Very little was being done.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
It was a Wednesday, will work from home.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah. I probably walked away from that much thinking.

Speaker 7 (03:36):
I think Senega at the time was ruanked forty eight
in the world and I was thinking cheap as if
there's forty seven guys in the world better than him.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah, the levels pretty good. It's good at the top end,
isn't it. Oh? Brilliant.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Well, let's stick with the US Open just for a
little bit. Now it is all over, you know, the
Grand Slam season for the year. Plenty of tennis still
to come, but let's just have a little quick look
back and do a little recap. So Arena sa Blank
obviously took out the championship this year, defeat Anasamova six three,
seven six and set on like it now trials an
A Samova six to four head to head, but as
one two of their meetings in twenty twenty five, two

(04:08):
of the three, which is pretty exciting. And we've actually
got a little special message here from Arena ourself.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Let's have a listen.

Speaker 9 (04:16):
The emotions were incredible, you know, after after those stuff
lessons earlier this season, I was able to bring really
great level in the final.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I was able to stay focused.

Speaker 9 (04:27):
I didn't let my emotions to take control over me,
because there was like a few moments, you know in
the match where I could just you know, let it
go and do the same mistake I did in those finals.
So I was just super proud and I couldn't believe
that I was able to defend this beautiful trophy, especially
knowing that no one could do it for such a period,

(04:48):
so it just it's incredible. It's not incredible, it's crazy
to realize that I was able to achieve.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
So much amazing.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Well, big thanks to Stan Spo McKenna mccagh, our buddy
from New York giving us that piece.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
You know, we heard it there.

Speaker 6 (05:04):
Just how much it meant to her to defend her title,
and she'd gone so close in all the other slams
and to have a year without a Slam in I
guess in terms of her stature, you know, her ranking,
it would have been incredibly disappointing for her not to
win a Slam in twenty twenty five. So that's how

(05:24):
much it meant to her to be able to get
that win. She was challenged for sure, and I think
Annasamova we're going to see some big things from her
in twenty twenty six, because we'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
But the quality of player.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
She is, and even like the days off in between,
you could see what she was doing out on the
practice court and the work she was doing with her
coach to still try and get things better even for
her next match the next day, but even you know,
thinking beyond that as well. So it's pretty exciting for
her the last six months of the year for sure,
up to number four in the world.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Yeah, now, I don't think that had something to me.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah yeah, I'm really looking forward to Anisimova next year Wimbledon.
She is going to have the taste for blood. She'd
be like, I'm not doing that double bag or bullshit again.
It's happening.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
She's going to be the one to watch. It's gonna
be pretty exciting. So let's jump across the fence over
to the ATP side. Of course, good old Carlos Akarath
took out.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I was going to do an Italian accent for Yanik,
but then I realized he speaks like German Italian. It's
too hard basket. I don't want to get in trouble.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I think it's a bit racist.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
So Carlos al Karez defeated Yannick Sinner six two three
six six one sixty four, leading Sinner ten to five
in the head to head, including seven of their last
eight meetings. So it's getting a little lopsided between the
Italian staying and the Spanish bull point.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
I wouldn't have expected our cras to be that far
up on Cinner. Yeah, you just in your mind think Sinner.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Yeah, well, I think especially here with the ao they've got,
you know.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
It is it is the same as a seventy player
the Big three, did you know when they were two
years old. I think they have improved on my biggest
My biggest thing is this is yet to come. So
I'm just happy to be able to keep improving and
then let's see how far they can go.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
As congratulations, enjoy the golfing, hand partying, Thank you, thanks.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Golfing partying. Haircuts. Is there anything that man can't do well?
He's blonde now, isn't he?

Speaker 10 (07:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
I think he's dart his hair blonde from what I've seen.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah, it doesn't like a serially killer at all.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
I think the difference King for your thoughts too, Simon,
The difference in our Karaz this year for me is
like his enjoyment. He's actually even in the biggest moments,
the biggest matches, you know, there were times of smiling
and you know, playing into and with the crowd, and
so I think that's that's been the difference for him.

(07:49):
And I'm also curious Simon your thoughts on Sinner whether
or not he was carrying something in that final that.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Was there was a bit of a rumor there wasn't
they It looked like that to me.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
Yeah, I was I you know, I'm in awe of
him at his best, and it just looked like he
was missing a gear or a level. So that was
my suspicion watching it play out in real.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Time, something in the back maybe or yeah, I was wondering,
stomach or it looked like something that was really impeding
the something quite Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Well in the semi final he'd had that injury time out, Yeah,
and he just lost the set and I was thinking, oh,
this is this is interesting and then you know, managed to,
I guess, get through.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
And then for me there was a question mark going
in the final.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
I wonder if he's going to be at one hundred
percent fitness for the final, and yeah, there was something
just off like and sometimes like when players when they
carry something, it comes through in their mentality, and I'm
just not sure he was as laser focused and dialed
in as he as he normally is when he's doing
his best.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Is it in their interest to you know, a player
going into the final to actually mentally go you know what,
It's not worth over extending and doing more damage. Do
I dial it back and get through and live to
fight another day? Or is it always just on the line.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
On the line, on the line, within reason.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
They can feel it ripping, they're not going to.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
App Yeah, like if you can, if you're feeling some discomfort,
it's hard to just mentally disconnect it.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, company is far Yeah, Okay on the line. I
think there's two buckets though.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
There's the bucket of injury, where am I making this
worse by continuing to play and turning a six week
thing into a three month thing? I think there's that,
Or am I in the bucket of No? No, I've done
the damage. The damage is done. You can't make it
any word. Then it's absolutely on the line. Yeah, I
would say, yeah, and Grand Slam title to be one, Yeah,
when that's on the line, miss the rest of the

(09:43):
season for that, But just ephen.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Looking at the score line, you know, six one and
six four in the last two sets, like there was
that uptick, but yeah, he must have been hurting.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
So I mean for him to lose a set six
one just doesn't happen, sums wrong.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Yeah, So, and I don't think necessarily it was. It
was every single point.

Speaker 6 (10:01):
Carlos, Carlos, Carlos, Sinner was making unusual errors like a
regular forehand. He's missed. Not by March, but he's missed
and he doesn't normally for him.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Is out of character?

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Correct?

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Correct?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Well, from a tough story for Sinner to a fellow
Redhead with potentially a good luck story. Let's do our
US Open Fantasy Draft results.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
I'd love to see who won.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Yeah, you've been counting the cards and numbers, haven't you.
Let's have a little lucky LOOKI so team bree versus
Cock and Stevie our guests of the week when we
did these out in our preview of the US Open,
Team bree head of the pack with twenty points, all
thanks to you picking Sabalanca mainly but also Sinner. In
the final.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
We go to the girls actually had one last time me.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I guess, well, now is that true, Razor, because you
were questioning it knowledge.

Speaker 7 (10:56):
I'm HARKing back to the French O it and I
need to review the tape on that one. I need
to review the type.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
But all you need to know is Breeze claiming it
very loud certificate.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Yeah, can you make it though.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
No, well, this one certainly looks like you're mad it
because with my producers, our producers have given us another
one US Open Fantasy Draft Champions Team Bree, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Thank you.

Speaker 11 (11:16):
Hang on.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
I actually knew I won, so I thought i'd bring
my own crowd.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Oh I thought that was just a weird hand.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
It's actually a crown aw don't pretend you haven't been
trying it.

Speaker 7 (11:26):
On or.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
For those only listening, has a teeny tiny, crappy plastic tiara.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
I went to the Wonderla show shows only to get.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
That yesterday, getting their money's worth out of you.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
But I paid for it myself.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Oh, Google's four dollars. That was four dollars.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
It'll be worn again. I might put in the dog's
head tonight.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Actually it is. It is your dog's head size. Now, well, congratulations,
but I did.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Actually I was snooping through your garbage the other and.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I found your little folder of like Breeze achievements.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Look Bree Stewart.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Oh wow, and it's got some lovely well I was
expecting to open it up like participation awards for like
grade four.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Yeah, exactly, athletics.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
I did do athletics.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Now there's a lot of post it notes in here.
I'm assuming you wrote them all.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
No, this was something we did when I worked in advertising,
did the leadership thing, and we had to write nice
things about each other.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
So these are some nice things my colleagues wrote about me.
I didn't keep any of my school reports.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
No longer smells like salmon that's good, that's good, specialist
and authentic beer that's weird.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
No, that his name's brin oh right, right, unique New
York and a passion that is infectious.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
So you're like covid, Yeah, that's cool, that's cool. All right,
Well that was our US Open draft.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
The Queen Brie and I did win the French two Simons,
we can take that off.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Okay, Well, if any of that makes it into the
final cut, World on Brie, let's jump in to the
big body of the show. What's caught your eye? We're
going to start next to me over here with Queen
Brie herself. What's happening with old mate norvak so Djokovic?

Speaker 4 (13:10):
He went down to he went down to Alcaraz at
the US Open. But we need to give that man
a lot of praise because he definitely did well. Getting
there and he is years older than the people he's playing.
He then did his press conference and will play the

(13:33):
clip of it. But just the way he articulates where
he's at in life and what is next, I think
is amazing. He's so real about where he's at and
how much he can do for his play in matches
at the moment and how much he knows he can't.
And I just thought it was really amazing and gave
me a little bit of a different side of Djokovic.

(13:55):
I really liked the honesty and yeah, just how he
spoke about it.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
But we'll let the clip do. The clip runs. I've listened.

Speaker 12 (14:03):
They're just too good, you know, playing on a really
high level. Fortunately, I ran out of gas after the
second set.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
I think I had.

Speaker 12 (14:14):
Enough energy to battle him and to keep up with
his rhythm.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
For two sets.

Speaker 12 (14:18):
After that, I was just guessed out, and you know,
he kept he kept going. So that's kind of what
I felt this year also with Yannik. Yeah, best of
five makes it very very difficult for me to play them,
particularly if it's like the end stages of the Grand Slam.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
I mean, you're right, quite humble, and this must be
very humble shocking for Novak. When was the last time
a year went by when Novak didn't make a final
of a.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Major since twenty seventeen my notes and relocating here when
he had had an elbow injury, was the last time?

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Yeah, well that's it, that's amazing.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, And we didn't include it all there, but he
kind of said, my body is as good as it
can be.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
There's not much more I can do there. It's just
this is I might don't have the same body basically.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
As the kids that he doesn't have the same body
he had.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Yeah, exactly, Yeah, yeah, I mean what yeah, I mean
it was very real and I agree, and you know,
almost it's humbling, right, yeah, because normally he's the guy
holding the trophy at the end of the Grand Slam,
and now he's almost conceding that the fact that there's
two guys just better than me. So there was one

(15:34):
little thing there where he said, oh, you know, for
two sets, I can go with him, but then the
third I've got nothing. So it's kind of interesting because
this year he's played all the Slams and he hasn't
played the thousands, and the thousands are best of three sets,
so I'd actually.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Like to see a little bit of a flip next year.

Speaker 6 (15:54):
Yeah right, Like if you think physically you can't chip
for the five cents, go out there and play for the.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Some three set tournaments that we prepared for you earlier.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
So I mean listen, just incredible comes into the US
it's completely cold, hasn't played and can still make us
a phenomenon. Final just speaks to thirty nine now IQ
the brain, the will, the desire and US Open was
kind of like I remember the day before the schedule

(16:27):
came out for it was first on at eleven.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
WHOA that would have.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Never been first fifteen years. And let me tell you,
he was not happy. He was the first thing that
just popped into my mind.

Speaker 6 (16:40):
I wonder what was saying. He was not happy? And
if you talk about, you know, managing energy levels and
he's yeah, he's to the nth degree on everything right
and so calculated.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
That would have.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Thrown him, would fiery, What messages.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
To be a fly on that ball, Craig upstairs quaking
in his boots, going shit, I've got to do that.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
In January, he did go on to say in that
press conference he is not giving up on the dream
of as.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
He wants Slam twenty five.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
He wants it, so do we think he will make
it to another like winning another Grand Slam.

Speaker 7 (17:20):
I'm not willing to count him out. It looks unlikely,
but that assumes I think those those two, the big two,
the Big four has become the big two. I think
that assumes the big two are going to be there,
healthy and fit at the business end of every Grand Slam.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Yeah, something will happened. There'll be a window, and whether
he's the one to walk through it at that point
in time, it remains to be seen. But I'm not
willing to count him out.

Speaker 11 (17:40):
Now.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
I was wondering why you brought this in, Brek. I
think it's for the tennis diplomat, that is.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Simon ray.

Speaker 8 (17:47):
Laurel.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Thanks you must only while being diplomatic. Yep, okay, thank
you very much. A little bit.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
It's really good on you.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
You make that work.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
I mean it's Halo, which our data. Angel I believe
that I'm not wanting for Switzerland.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yeah, I'm not wanting to count them out, not just ship.
He'll be at the business ends. Remarkable. Pratty's right.

Speaker 7 (18:09):
The schedules remarkable, didn't play an event between the French
Open and wimbled, didn't play an event between women and
the US Open. It's ranked number four in the world.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Yeah, pretty good. A few points.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
Yeah, we'll get into it. Who we think twenty twenty six.
I do think there's another couple of contenders that's good
to hold that.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
So that's why I'm.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Saying a note, Okay, great, I think there's others that
are going to move part it.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
I've got some devil points down here too. If you
want to be all right, well we'll jump on. I
stay with you, Pratty. What caught your eye this week?
I have my notes here. She's got two, So what
have you got my?

Speaker 3 (18:45):
I two?

Speaker 6 (18:45):
And I know we were moving on from US Open,
but I was fortunate enough and Simon was there as well,
sitting courtside when Anisimova played against Kim Burrell and then
against my joint. Her backhand is best in the world.
It is off the charts. Wo her numbers.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yeah, we talk about.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
See the fastest, the highest out of men and women
were talking about couldn't backhand right, It is world class,
world class.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
We need to be more world class time and even.

Speaker 6 (19:17):
Better than what we already are because we had two
shots to beat up and we could, although we had
our game plan right and our players did as good
a job as they could. But literally, you are your
game plan consists against Ennisimova. Do not hit it to
a backhand unless you can hit there with purpose. It's

(19:37):
pretty simple, but it's very difficult to keep it.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
All the times you don't have the option. You're like, well,
I've got to go into the danger zone.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
And what does she do? She flacks it.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
It is a cannon. The sound.

Speaker 6 (19:48):
So if anyone out there straight and open twenty twenty six,
get caught side to Ennisimova because the backhand is a
thing a beauty.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
So you're talking numbers. Luckily we have a number man here.
Give us some and a Samov's stats.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Well, clearly she already knows them herself. Which will move on.

Speaker 7 (20:05):
But I think when you think about ball speed one
hundred and twenty three kilometers now on the backhand side.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
I would be running her opponents.

Speaker 7 (20:14):
When you group her seven opponents, we group them all
together on the backhand side and take an average of
those seven opponents. They average one hundred and five kilometers now,
so it's twenty k's an hour. On the back end side,
she hit the ball at the US Open harder than
Sablenka by ten k's, harder than Pagoula by ten k's,
harder than Yarnick Cinner off the back end week by
three ks. When I say harder, faster, faster than Elkarez,

(20:35):
faster than Jokovic, faster than Yoush.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
We on Tech, no one in the world of faster
than it's a bullet. By the sound, it's a back
end harder than Amanda and some mother no one.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
I saw them it on social media and it just
made me really proud, because you know, there's so much
stuff like women aren't as good as man and it's like,
hang on.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
We're going to stand here.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
This is She's going to hit some back handed your
face and then you can sell it exactly.

Speaker 7 (20:58):
And I think one way she leans into that when
you look at the couple of matches and I did
a comparison between Eager schwon tech and thisim over at Wimbledon,
which was the love and Love match and I know
you'll have it tarts on it, and how she rebounded
from that and then US Open to be able to
turn that around. So Eager won thirty three percent of
her second serve points when they played at the US Open.
At Wimbledon, it was sixty three percent of her own

(21:19):
second serve points. I went back and had a lot
where was she serving, Yeah, at Wimbledon, directing nearly every
second serve at the end, this and over foehand. Yeah,
for some reason, reason unknown to any of us, straight
into the and this sim over backhand at the US Open.
And as you just touched on save, that's where good
players go to die. And you serve second serves at
the end this and over backhand, it's over. And that

(21:39):
was for me the number one factor in reversing the
fortunes in that matchup.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
That was a really good court. Your eye, but you've
got another Wade. I see that. You've got the US
Open Mark, big fan of the event.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
I say, now, I love it, I love it, I
love it. I love the craziness.

Speaker 6 (21:51):
But I've got to say the crowds at the US
Open this year were the biggest, largest, craziest I've ever
been a part of them, being on their thirty years.
The crazy bad crazy, no good crazy, like just vibes
and you know week week, the qualifying week was free
people in and there were.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
You there for the doubles in opening week? Yes, yeah,
did that do you think, Adam?

Speaker 6 (22:17):
I think that one hundred percent brought more people in
because it was about sort of two three o'clock all
of a sudden, thousands more people on site. So yeah,
it was crazy, like trying to get from the players area,
you know, through the courts, like you're just weaving, dodging people.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
So yeah, crowd numbers just really caught my.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Honey juice probably had a bit to do with that.
This is the official candle. No Vonker in that one.
But did you have to jump over any honey juice snakes?

Speaker 6 (22:45):
There were quite a few. There was cues for the
honey juice. But the other thing that caught my eye
was the Mouei Shannon and for thirty two US dollars
you could get a gold cup and a glass of champagne.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Wow, that caught my eye, that one. Yeah that's affordable.
Yeah what fifty bucks?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Yeah one? Yeah, probably a short pour too.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
My whole bottle for that stating obvious over here.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
No that's fine, you're just there going, not yourself stuck
up you get one of those camelbacks and fill it
with Nelly. No very good.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Well let's roll on and jump over Simon. Well caught
your eye this week?

Speaker 7 (23:23):
Yeah, well, I think Felix Osier earlier scene, it's probably
the best tennis that we've seen from him in a
number of years. We know about the ability that he's got,
we know about the weapons he's got in his game.
He's a phenomenal athlete. So when I think about physicality,
serve and forehand, this guy's ticking all three of those
boxes and some of the numbers behind. What took him
back to the point end of Grand Slam Tennis again?

(23:45):
Second serve again. We spoke about it with Anisimova. On
the return side, he won sixty percent of a second
serve points. One year round he wins fifty two percent.
So when you think about the last twelve months, he's
in fifty two percent. He elevated against his own benchmark
at the USO. What a time to do it, exactly,
And then there was some difference tactically, so on the
backhand side, use of the slice backhand. His backhand is

(24:06):
not a backhand that's going to hurt you. He's trying
to hurt you with serve forehand, with physicality, use to
the slice. So he accepted, perhaps, Okay, I need to
offer up a little bit more variety courts, balls, equipment, etc.
Maybe I'm using my slice to create more opportunity to
use my forehand on the next ball. His ball speed
when he did go for the top seven back end,
his ball speed was up relative to the rest of

(24:27):
the year. He's up seven k's off backhand wing, so
the speed of the two hand was up. And then
there was more slice. And I think part of what
you asked me to look at with those you earlier
scene was looking ahead. Can he be at the really
pointing and consistently. I'm not sure, And I'll be curious
for pratty storts because for me, this is the coaching challenge.
You know, do you double down on your strengths serve forehand,

(24:47):
physicality or do you need to add other strings to
your bow? Do you need to complement those weapons in
different ways? And I'm thinking about he's not someone that's
got a huge amount of for neess, but I think
behind that power, you've got opportunity to a drop shot.
You've got opportunity to come forward more often. He's about
on par with the rest of the top hundred in
terms of how often he comes forward. But I would
argue he's got a lot more opportunity than the rest

(25:08):
of the time because he's able to hurt you in
so many ways, and when he's hurting you.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
He's backing you up.

Speaker 7 (25:13):
So I think you've got opportunity to finish with a
drop shot, you know, and to challenge your opponent in
those different ways. So those are a couple of ingredients
that if I'm in the camp, I'm leaning into at
least exploring and being curious as to whether it's growth
and upside there.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
Well, well, I'm a big one for utilizing your strengths, right,
and maybe he has been based on the numbers that
you've said. That was trify by the way, So I
really enjoyed that he's always so good.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
Yeah, no, it was really good.

Speaker 6 (25:37):
But like everything you've said makes sense because what he's
looking to do is use, you know, as you said,
the backhand wing to bring the ball more to his strengths,
and his.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
Physicality has got to be top ten in the world.

Speaker 6 (25:50):
The way that he moves, So if you talk about
adding some net coverage there like he can do that
in spades, but how do you get there.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
You've got to get there with purpose? So I love it.
I love it.

Speaker 6 (26:01):
So it'd be exciting if he keeps going the route
of what can I continue to add that's going to
bring the ball to my strengths. Sometimes with tournaments too,
the draw just opens up and I feel like that
section of the draw, and you know, I don't want
to take anything away from Alex Stemna because he's one
of my favorite players. Is you know, Alex wasn't really

(26:21):
pushed through the court draw, right, so they both had
a good draw if you think about it, in the
quarter finals, so you know the fact that Felix was
able to take advantage of it playing against Alex. So
sometimes too, you know, numbers, you know certainly speaks to
an outcome, but also just something opening up is all
that you need. And you get that one win to

(26:44):
in a row, which he probably hadn't previously add and
then all of a sudden, okay, I'm on a roll.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
I'm moving here. So a little bit draw confidence as well.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
And that's the between the years part, right, which is
the intangible. But I think he in terms of Felix.
He owned a spot, didn't He knocked dos Verev on
the way through. He knocked off on the ways and
then had to play demon.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
So after that just debunked my They brought good names.

Speaker 7 (27:07):
I think that's still right until he wins that Zeverev
match up. Maybe he's asking that same question and he
finds a way through there and he's got a new
lease on life. He's in the fourth ront of the
US Open with a head of steam up and then
it's tough to stop the momentum.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
So Felix one to watch, but no one say anything
on the back of that. We'll talk about twenty twenty
six in a minute. Just what caught my I was
doing some star spotting at the good old US Open.
Celebrities and tennis they go quiet hand in hand.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
They're always popping up, you know, especially during the Majors
and during the Grand Slam season, and this year there
were quite a few, to say the least.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Now, the biggest one and probably the most I catching,
was good old Donnie J.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Trump, President of the US Survey.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Now you know he was there and there was a
big name, and you know, broadcasters were told what they
probably should or shouldn't put to air as far as
audio goes. But because of his presence, yes, he's Donald Trump,
but he's also the president. Yeah, caused quite the security
stir and they delayed the match by half an hour.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
The men's final I've heard of, right, some only ever
happened once in history.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Madness, and I think it had to do.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
But then there were still people snaking out the gate.
So that got me thinking not about politics, but about
celebrities in general.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
So I've set myself a little challenge.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
I was doing some research about all the celebrities who
attended this year's twenty five USBT do this week. No, no, no,
it might have done the coll aating and ranked them
in order. Chat GPT considered to be the most famous
to the least famous. So my challenge to myself, for
no real reason, is, in sixty seconds, I'm going to
list every single celebrity who was in attendance at the

(28:40):
US Open.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Have you practiced?

Speaker 1 (28:42):
No? I have not.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
I really am flying seat of the pants, but I
believe that John Ap producer has a countdown club. Okay, ready,
Donald Trump, Angelina, Jolie Briggs, Bruce Springsteen and a win
tour Sting, Doctor, Dre pink Asha, Hugh Jackman, Alec Borwan,
Naomi Osaka. She's a player. Venus Williams also a player
on Ham, Jessica, Albert Blake, Lively, l Fanning, Dakota Fanning,
Katie Holmes, Simon, Simone, Barles, Maurice Sharrapover, Halle Berry, Hailey Bieber,

(29:06):
Pamela Anderson, Spike, Lee, Simone, Ashley, Sidney Sweeney, Connie Britton, Julianna,
Marga Leese, Sierra, Stanley Tucci, Patricia Clarks and Sam Rockwell,
Leslie Bibb, Walton Goggins, Lindsay Lohan, Isa Ray, Next page,
Chelsea Handler, Raine Wilson, Shonda Rhimes, Maud Appatoo, Sarah Pigeon,
Emily Rush, Judge, Jack Can't say Her, Laurie Harvey, Mary

(29:28):
kay Olson, Ashley Olson, Ben Steller, Jeff Goblin, Jerreff, Jeremy Allen, White,
John Mulaney, Olivia Munn, Victor Cruz, Noah Schnapp, Candas Parker, Bridge,
At Moynihan, Britney Snow, Paul Wesley, Tina Knowles, Tony Lewis, Something, Chase,
Sue Wonders, Page, Disawber, Arabella Cushner, Jared Kushner, Tommy Hill Figure,
d Hill Figure, and Sergio Peretz. Yes, skip, no, no, no,

(29:50):
just their middle names.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Oh that was dramatic. There you go. So there.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
According to the Internet, sixty five celebrities rolled into the
US Open this year.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
I would argue you with no up the most ever.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Say Queen Latifa because she was there, said.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Queen someone, But I mean Camilla. Who knows. Look, let's
just say it's not an exhaustive list, but look I
got it if you have Queen Lata peoples.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
But yeah, I mean there's tennis players on this list,
So who knows? What the hell's going on?

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Which leads me to the question favorite celebrity moment at a
Grand Slam.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Brie, hit me, what's your favorite?

Speaker 11 (30:28):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (30:28):
God, there Hugh Grant asleep at.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Wimbled Yep, that's a goodie. Yep cool.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
I love when he does that.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Praddy, what pops into your moment?

Speaker 5 (30:36):
Coming?

Speaker 3 (30:37):
You get? First silence?

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Jackie Chan at the io, Yes, that was good, came
good at the eleventh.

Speaker 6 (30:46):
My favorite celebrity watching is actually the Royals at Wimbledon.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Yeah, tell you what, you pulled that one right out
of your bum at the very end.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Now, plenty more tennis to come after the break, including
the twenty twenty six Crystal Ball predictions and Ace of
the Week.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
We'll see in a second.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Cool welcome back.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
We are going to get into a little bit of
an update from Guadalajara, Oh Mexicole, and we.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
Really want to talk about Storm Hunter, who.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Friend of the pod.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
Yes, yes, defeated sin sinea Kova and she's up next
against Orango and then if she wins that she's in
next with Ostapenko.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
So she is doing well. We know Storm was injured.
She's been back playing this year. She started with doubles,
but she is making some impression and singles. Right now,
before we get your thoughts on her, because I feel
like you might know her pretty We've just got a
little clip from Storm Hunter.

Speaker 11 (31:45):
Hey guys from guad Lahara.

Speaker 10 (31:47):
Just checking in after my first round singles win last night.

Speaker 11 (31:51):
Obviously it was my first singles win since rupturing.

Speaker 10 (31:53):
My achilles, so super excited to get the w and
especially here in guad Lahara.

Speaker 11 (31:58):
The conditions are tough.

Speaker 10 (32:00):
It's high altitude, so the balls are flying, but I
love playing here.

Speaker 11 (32:04):
The crowds are be awesome.

Speaker 10 (32:06):
The fans just love it. And yeah, I'm just super
excited to get the win and excited for my second
round tomorrow. Pratty's been coaching me from Afar. She gave
me a really good pep talk last night before for
my match. So yeah, super pumped and miss you guys
and hopefully see you soon. Enjoy the show.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Super excited.

Speaker 6 (32:24):
Like I did speak to she mentioned the pep talk,
so she'd lost her doubles the day before, so she
was a bit.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Down in the dumps and it was terrible.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
And I'm low and confident, so I said, hang on
a minute, hang on, you're playing singles?

Speaker 3 (32:37):
How good?

Speaker 6 (32:38):
Like this is why you did twelve months of rehab
to come back to have these type of opportunities. Go
out there, you know who you're plan against and.

Speaker 8 (32:46):
Go for it.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
So a true pep talk.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Yeah, yeah, I'll tell you. I wasn't feeling super confident.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
Now.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
The truth.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
To tell the drink you got to get them in
the right spot, well the best spot you think you
can get them, help them to get there. Yeah, but
I was giving actually a lesson out on court. Came
off court and someone said to me, Storm got up
and I was like what and yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
So unreal.

Speaker 6 (33:12):
Yeah, I spoke to her yesterday and very very cool. Good,
good opportunity in the second round against Orango. So yeah,
just hopefully she can keep you know, getting a few
more wins under the belt. And yeah, I keep tapping
that wood, stay healthy, healthy, because it's not about a
tennis like a level of tennis is so good, it's

(33:33):
just you know, the body that keeps kind of asking
the question of her. So no, I'm super pumped for her.
It's been you know, I committed to the year. I
committed to the year with her and Kim and particularly
Storm getting her back and playing and establishing herself back
onto her. So that's a pretty cool moment.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Actually.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Yeah, so good sending oh I love and success for
the next rounds. Just that please, Yeah she did do
a tequila trresol. Okay, Next up, we're going to talk
a little bit about Davis Cup, which we have coming
up over the weekend. First tie here in Australia's for
three years, please, So that's exciting. However, there has been

(34:15):
some news overnight about Australia's captain Landon Hewitt, so a
bit of a tricky time for him, but we're going
to focus on really what's coming up over the weekend
for our Australian team.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
So we're gonna throw to vik.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
Rudnikov and Reesa Deduke who are on the ground in
Sydney with the Australian team.

Speaker 13 (34:35):
So we're here and ken rosewell arena because this weekend
Australia will be playing Belgium in the Davis Cup tie.

Speaker 11 (34:41):
It's going to be super exciting.

Speaker 13 (34:43):
We've actually got some of the Australian team practicing behind
us right now and the arena does look.

Speaker 11 (34:49):
A bit quiet, but expected to be packed out this weekend.

Speaker 13 (34:52):
It is the first time we have at home since
twenty twenty two, so it's going to be really, really
fun and super exciting.

Speaker 8 (34:58):
It's going to be absolutely part being here. Vic Like
Ossie fans love Davis Cup and it's been so long
since they've had a home tie, so expect the roof
to be blown off, but lucky we've got this roof.
We've had so much rain here in Sydney this week
but it'll be a great day out on the weekend
for Ossie fans to get around the boys and make
this place nice and loud. The Aussie team. They took

(35:19):
down Sweden to get to this stage and Belgium took
down Chile. They're all fighting for those last seven spots
in Bologna, for Italy to take on Italy in the
final eight. Everything's on the line.

Speaker 11 (35:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (35:32):
And speaking of Belgium, they're coming into this time pretty
good form right for sure.

Speaker 12 (35:36):
Ah.

Speaker 8 (35:37):
You got Raphael Klonyon and zizu Bergs who both made
the third round of the US Open.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
They're hungry.

Speaker 8 (35:43):
We heard Alex Dimonoy yesterday say we can't take anyone lightly.
The Belgians will be absolutely hungry. And those two boys
are in absolute form in the singles and experience doubles
pair as well. Anything could happen in Davis Cup and
they are in some great forms. So it should be
a very interesting tie from the Belgian perspective. They've been
a good vibe in the camp, haven't they been.

Speaker 11 (36:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (36:02):
So we actually got to go to the aquarium with
him over the weekend, which was super exciting because you
don't really get to spend.

Speaker 11 (36:08):
Much time with players off the court, and they were.

Speaker 13 (36:11):
Really fine, friendly and making a lot of jokes with us,
which doesn't hype in often.

Speaker 11 (36:15):
So was a really good time overall.

Speaker 8 (36:17):
Yeah, that's so great and I'm from an Aussie perspective.
The Australians they love Davis Cup. As I said before,
twenty eight titles in total. And we've got one of
the best players in the world in Alex Dimnor suiting up.
He's looking great on court. Another quarterfinal at the US Open.
He loves Davis Cup. He circles it every year, he
would never miss it. Expect that home court advantage to
come into play as well. It's going to be a

(36:39):
fascinating tie, I think. But yeah, the Australians, they're coming
in hot and it's.

Speaker 11 (36:43):
Important to note that we are okay, not we oh
we me.

Speaker 13 (36:50):
And it's important to note that Australia is the second
ranked Davis Cup team behind Italy and they're finished in
the top four for the past three years, so pretty
impressive stuff going into this tie.

Speaker 8 (37:01):
They've been super consistent over the past three years, two
finals in a semi final. They love Davis Cup. All
these boys prioritize it and it's a great culture that
they've built in the team. We'll find out what that
team is tomorrow at the all important draw. It should
be a great event out in Sydney and we'll see
what happens from there and.

Speaker 13 (37:17):
Make sure you watch the Davis Cup tie against Belgium
on nine and be in spots Well.

Speaker 6 (37:23):
If Alex Demana is playing, right, I feel very confident
there's going to be two singles wins there. I mean
Alex specially playing in ken Rosewell his arena. It's his,
it's his And it was actually cool I saw on
Instagram where Ken Rosewell came out and having a chat.
So yeah, I think Australia is the favorites for sure.

(37:46):
We obviously do incredibly well in the doubles. Yeah, so
picking up that extra rubber. But Bergs has had some
really good forms, so he'll be probably the key player
for Belgium.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
So that's who they're they're going to line up against.
Davin shall Be Yeah, correct, Yeah, so I think Pratty's
read on the spot on.

Speaker 7 (38:04):
I think, yeah, we line up with demon Or and
Popper and and the team and Jordan Thompson maybe, if
not to play a role in singles, then a true doubles,
a real doubles exponent hill team with Matt Evden there.
You'd have to think prior to the draw coming out,
and Bergs has had a really good twenty twenty five
campaign on the Belgian side of the equation. But I
think Australia are firm favorites going in.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
Yeah, amazing.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
Well, we do have an episode coming up sometimes soon,
I would say, Zave on the sit down with these Yes,
the Belgium team have been amazing to talk to and
do lots of stuff with there in Sydney as well,
So we wish both sides luck.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
We have to stay impartial, but go Australia. But moving
on from Davis Cup.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
Zave, you've been cooking something up that well, co like
you're trying to replace my top five no, No, No
four being.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
Gone one week.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Well, I was thinking you were looking ahead to the
Davis Cup. I want to look further ahead today twenty
twenty six.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
We're going all the way to next year, folks, and
I thought we'd have a little bit of crystal ball predictions.
With twenty twenty five Grand Slam season all behind us,
it's time for us to make some bold predictions about
Australia open twenty twenty six and beyond. Now we've got
four questions here to put around the table. Feel free
to add your own predictions at home in the YouTube
comments or let us know. It's social. But we're thinking

(39:20):
that far ahead. Which player around the table will break
through for their first Grand Slam title in twenty twenty six. Pratty,
I can see you champing at the bit.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
You can go first.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
Well, it's an easy one for me and a smo
ba ah good one.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Sorry, I mean no, that's fair easy as long as
it's all backhands, bring it on.

Speaker 6 (39:39):
Yeah, yeah, although if other players will coaches listened to
our podcast, they're going to know a bit of strategy
on the smoben.

Speaker 7 (39:46):
Now alright, Razor, I think I probably had two on
the woman's side, but I'll try to keep it to
one in the spirit of the test. I think mir
and Rover is only going to continue to get better.
You reckon twenty twenty six could be, I think, particularly
on Clay and Garrison, I could see her.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
That's who with a red hot chance.

Speaker 7 (40:03):
You know.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
It's sad. Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
The first Yeah, he did, and he had some you know,
some intelligent thought behind it.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Eventually, who is cool?

Speaker 4 (40:16):
Who else is called that I could put there that
I think could win? I've got a controversial you got well.
I think Taylor fritz Hm.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Thought that was all that controversial. I just don't think he's.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
Ever I'll got two on the men's side. If you
want to move, I use one before I take it.
Ben Shelton, that was one of the in my mind,
and I was like, yes, him just struck back.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
One more, Okay, one more, here we go.

Speaker 6 (40:50):
Although he's just pulled out of the rest of the year,
but that could be a positive. Jack dre Park Yeah, yeah,
you didn't say Draper. I'm surprised I forgot about him.
Who forgets about Jack cape Good?

Speaker 1 (41:03):
Yeah, I've decided these are my questions, so I'm not
going to give one.

Speaker 10 (41:06):
He just did.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Through the magic of editing, we're going to cut out
the fact that I had nothing.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
I thought that was really good our response to it,
all right.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Next question through the crystal Ball, which player will be
the biggest rankings move or mover in twenty twenty six?

Speaker 1 (41:22):
Up or down?

Speaker 3 (41:24):
Okay, that makes things interesting.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Prady's got another.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
One cooking down because he's not going to play as much.
I want to say, Tristan school Kate, You're allowed to
say whatever you like, because that's what I would like
for him after seeing how he played it.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
What do you always say, manifest.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
Yeah, I want to manifest it for him.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Okay, no good raising. I feel like he just took raisors.

Speaker 3 (41:50):
No, I don't think I did. Okay, bit of a
dark horse though that suggestion.

Speaker 7 (41:54):
I think there's a watch on Medvedev. I think he's
been a strider and well, I think you could go
one of two ways. If I was to hazard a guess,
I think he might slide further in. Yeah, he's just
just split with split with Jill Savara after a long, long,
long term partnership. Yeah, I think I think memberdev could

(42:14):
continue to go south from a rankings perspective.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
Now, well, yeah, US Open wasn't great for him, was it?

Speaker 1 (42:21):
The first? Folks? All right? Which player will be the
breakout social media star of twenty twenty six this week?
You breathe.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
So there's a couple of things that I've got to
talk about here. They're both men, Sorry, but I have
got some thoughts around the women as well.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
Talk about it.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
But I think von Seka in terms of like growth,
if he keeps playing well, if he gets more into
the zeitgeist. Brazil is also very very engaged social media users,
so him. Then the other one is he's already got
a great following, but I think it could get bigger.
News just dropped this morning on E News Entertainment, one

(43:01):
of my the home of tennis news, My biggest sources
of education, literature, our choraz is dating Brooks Nada now
Brooks Nader is a media personality, has her own reality
show with her sisters called Keeping Up with the Natives.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
I'm not keeping up with the Natives. That's the.

Speaker 4 (43:21):
Love that Nata. It's what it's called. Okay, that's clever, Yeah,
very clever. And she's been on Dancing with the Stars
all that kind of stuff. Big us, very pretty gal
and apparently occurs and her dating.

Speaker 1 (43:33):
So if we all took was for him to win
the US Open.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
Yeah, and if we start seeing that come together apparently
was happening before, I think he'll get more like cred
and into different spaces that aren't so sport as well.

Speaker 7 (43:47):
Fonseca perhaps could have been my rankings riser on the ment.
He is going to out of tennis, so no a struggle.
But I'm here for the stuff that doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (43:59):
We're both there for that. That's why we have experts
on the other side of the day. Yeah, So thanks
to Brief for her promptly right last one. This is
the real hitting, real hard hitting issue. Where in this
world of ours will Alex and Alex Demenoll and Katie
Bult get married a Melfy coast Italy?

Speaker 3 (44:16):
Really, I'm pretty sure they've already said that, haven't they.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
I hadn't heard that.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
Oh no, I feel like they've said.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
I had it would be in Spain.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
When I read that question, I thought they had already
announced it was in like Italy or France, one of them.

Speaker 6 (44:30):
The mix.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Oh, they're basically.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
Intel.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Pretty I did not know that.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
Well, it's neutral, it's the Swiss Alps, like it's neutral.

Speaker 6 (44:40):
It's I thought Switzerland would actually be good, but it's
actually very expensive in Switzerland.

Speaker 3 (44:48):
Afford it in Switzerland.

Speaker 6 (44:51):
But since Katie's from the UK, Alex Australia, Spain, they're
going neutral in Europe.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
And there was a rumor somewhere in Italy. So yeah,
you may not be that. I think you did pretty good.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
Actually, to Simon was definitely invited. Had no idea you're
in the data party, you Reckon would not have thought, Okay, pratty.
That'll get your brithes bad's dressing out.

Speaker 3 (45:19):
Can you see me in slaves?

Speaker 1 (45:21):
Absolutely? I will say this.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
Before I saw you take your jumper off without your
cap coming off your head. I have never been more
impressed by any magic.

Speaker 1 (45:30):
It was amazing.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
It was instead of a rabbit out of a hat,
it was a pretty out of a cat. It was
just a thing of beauty. So yes, could definitely see
you in puffy sleeves with your amazing wt a black
baseball cap.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (45:42):
All right, well that's enough Shenanigan's. Let's do one more
bit of fun before we get the heck out of here.

Speaker 2 (45:46):
Ace of the Week this is where we ask all
of our guests on the show to tell us something
that's either coming up, or has happened, or is happening
right now this week that's brought you some joy the
ace of your week, and it doesn't have to be
In fact, I implore you to to make it tens related.

Speaker 6 (46:02):
Well, I'm a tennis tragic, but we spoke about the
fact that I haven't been home for I don't know
how long.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
So lovely to be home and probably just taken my
two twin girls out to the sport.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
That's right.

Speaker 6 (46:15):
And to have the time to do that where I
don't normally have that time, and it's home and you know,
you jump in.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
The car and you're at the courts in five minutes.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
It was just lovely accreditation.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
No, no, no, that's so good. It was lovely.

Speaker 1 (46:30):
Well, we're thrilled to have you home. Thank you about yourself.
I was probably struggling initially. I'm going to use my daughter.

Speaker 7 (46:37):
My daughter is a real introvert, really very quiet, very
close to her mum, and we're a Geelong Bays family.
And she came home buzzing from Kinder the other day
because the cats had made a visit to Kinder.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
Oh, she was in there and Bailey Smith.

Speaker 8 (46:51):
Was in.

Speaker 3 (46:54):
I need to enroll in Kindom.

Speaker 7 (46:56):
I think Edie, my daughter had had a clear you've
gotten a huge buzz out of it. Yeah, for her
to come home and had a couple of photos with
her and clearly it made her day.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
That's very good.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
So nice that they do think. I know they have to,
but it's so good.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
I think Tom should has a youngster in that same
kinder colo.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
And that's why for those kids they're probably like, oh.

Speaker 7 (47:20):
My dream for those kids. Yeah, I support the pipes,
but the rest of the family suffice to.

Speaker 4 (47:24):
Say, well, Mason Cox to come talk to you during
the AO, Yeah, we'll talk about Cox.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
He will be in touch you.

Speaker 2 (47:31):
Razy just got like an inch toallery seats, like like
he was very happy talking about his family. But you
see Mason Cox really well, all right, bra, what about yourself?

Speaker 4 (47:41):
Mineus tennis? And I don't care what you say because
there's a very personal spin on it. Not really, I
am going to David's Cup on the weekend. I am
not going to work. I've bought my own tickets, I
have bought my own flight in accommodation. I am going
to watch tennis.

Speaker 1 (47:57):
Wow, we did not take advantage of your position. Sorry,
that's a good thing. Good thing.

Speaker 8 (48:02):
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (48:03):
I'm not here to take the company for a ride.

Speaker 1 (48:06):
But what's the last three years if anyway? Sorry?

Speaker 4 (48:10):
No, but I'm really excited my team is. They're working,
so I am there to support them should they need me.
They don't need me. I'm actually just going to watch
Davis Cup as a fan. As a kid, I have
such vivid memories of laying on the floor of an
afternoon with my dad with the TVs that were.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
Like built into like wood and with knobs watching the.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
Davis Cup and I loved it as a kid, and
you know, the wood is playing, and so I just
have a real nostalgic connection to BJK or what it
was called in the past and Davis Cup.

Speaker 3 (48:44):
And I'm going to go scratch that, dich.

Speaker 1 (48:47):
That's great, awesome, But.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
I will say this, if you get looped into doing
work there far those receipts, but like when on my
own dime, but soon as you got there, ta is like, oh, Bree,
well here, could you just mind doing a few press
conference coverage for us?

Speaker 1 (48:59):
That's where you go and refund Baby of the Week
for you, Dave. Thanks Brey.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
It's it's been a long time coming and we've been
planning and trying to make it work. We are finally
putting in a pool. Oh we know that that means
I need to hide my address.

Speaker 3 (49:17):
I didn't rich.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
Even my laugh just them was quite but my kids. Yeah,
and we had a good time when we went to
Fiji and the kids like, we want to pull so.

Speaker 3 (49:34):
A fence around it, right, you have to just look ugly,
but you need.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
It Yeah, we've found a way I wake up the details.
It's gonna be real nice, just in time for summer.

Speaker 3 (49:43):
Yeah, so that's my week hot on the mountain.

Speaker 8 (49:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
Well, we've also got the biggest heat pump you can
get for a domestic pool, ordered because so you can
swim in the winter, you can. We had a fire
like an open fire on Christmas the other year, so
it's a bit crazy up on the mountain.

Speaker 6 (49:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:59):
I don't know how much you'll need a pull to
be honest.

Speaker 1 (50:02):
Look, you skate, you don't know. Well, okay, that's enough
for me. That's enough from you.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
But it's always a pleasure to have both of you
back on the show. Nicole Pratt, Simon Razor Ray, thank
you very much.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
Together on the show. So we actually do work well together.

Speaker 1 (50:18):
I want them to hug.

Speaker 3 (50:19):
Oh god, anyway, all right, do you want me to
wrap it up.

Speaker 11 (50:23):
Out of here?

Speaker 1 (50:24):
Thank you very much for watching listening being a part
of the show. Stick around.

Speaker 2 (50:28):

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
