Hello and welcome to the tennis. Did I scare you then.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
No, I'm just trying to get into it.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Venus and retrograde, the seven time Grand Slam champ of
Winds back the clock, carry on, Cahill Sinner's the winner
after pre final dinner and a smash or pass.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
In a shot, I don't know where you're going.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
We swipe left and right and this week's top five.
That's all ahead with me. I embraced you. It alongside
me is my stripey friend save.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
You're moll the Buck, Hi, Brianna. Hello?
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Oh god, why are you using my full name? Got
to have you across the desk.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
You've got the best content creator in tennis. Dariel Dariel Hill?
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Good? Good? How are you? I'm well?
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Thank everyone's good and making.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
His pod day boo. It's writer, presenter, podcaster. I would say,
model and huge tennis fan.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Louis handsome.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Little citizen at least.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
I'm so happy to be here. Yeah, I'm so happy
to be here. This is my first time.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
It's so excited to have your pod labor, which is
what it's called in here. Just so you know, it's great,
isn't it now you're generally doing lots of different things,
and you have your own podcast. Everybody has a Secret,
but you're since sleeping that, So what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I mean that's the age question, isn't it? What's next?
What are we doing?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
What's the next? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:35):
I mean this episode comes out at very apt timing
because yeah, I just announced that I'm parting ways with
Everybody has a Secret?
Speaker 2 (01:45):
A true fan, Yeah, Daria, I found out off that listens.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yes, I do. Even Luke listens, even here does.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Yeah, that's his little secret. Do you listen together or separately?
Speaker 4 (02:01):
I honestly just played on speaker, and then if he's there, he.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Gets really interested.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
So I just like notice him like just stopping everything,
not texting, and I'm like, okay, here's into it.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Yeah that sounds very well. It sounds like that's the
reason I watch so much Below Deck med is. My
wife has it on. I go, what are you watching
this crap for? And then I kind of sit down,
and then eight episodes later she wants to go to bend. No, no,
they're still too left.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Yes, look, and I do occasionally shout out the straight
boyfriends that listen because they're a loyal community, often in
the car, but yeah, very around the house as well.
They're a loyal bunch, the straight boyfriends. But yeah, a
few weeks Togo a bit of a farewell tour if
you will.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah, first stop the tennis, right, I know, so I
love it. So for now I'm here at Melbourn Park
here podcasting professional, which I think is what this show needs.
You do a great job, Bree, but so do you.
Thanks Brey. But we've got Louis and Dasher, one of
the greatest content creator world has ever seen.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Maybe you guys should start content creating.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I like this.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
There's something special in the in pod labor today. I'm
really happy because I'm excited to see the dynamic between
you two in person.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, yeah, I love this dynamic. We just much don't
quite understand get like what's going Like we're basically work siblings,
Like we're really good friends who work together and tease
the crap out of each other. We do, and frankly
that's how I roll.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
We do have a safe word if we've actually upset
each other because we joke so often go too far
that we've got a word that you say if you've
really upset each other. And our word is chat GBT, CHATPT,
so Dave goes chat GBT. I know that I've overstepped
the mark and I have to apologize.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
And like, but we both adhere streetly to that rule. Yeah,
and it works well.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
It does work if someone just mentions chat jip, because.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
You know if you say it, if you talk.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
About it, no, because we'll generally know we've overstepped the mark.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
And it's like it's like that team's chat equivalent of
this sound yep? And how often does one whip out
chat jeffyt sincerely?
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I think I've used it once.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
You've used it once, I think twice.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Yeah, I might go over the line more than once.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
I think it's because it's fine than rising. See that
was another compliment. No, we're going to wrap it up.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Great.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
I have you both very excited to have such a
good little pod labor today. Let's go into what's caught
your eye?
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Dasha?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Oh yeah, watching Venus. I watched it yesterday. I was
home just chilling and I couldn't believe how well she played.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
So yeah, she made her come back. She hasn't played.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
For sixteen months, sixteen months.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Sixteen months, I read that this morning.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
I felt like it's a real comeback. Like I felt
like she was so fit. She closed it out in
second set. It was super tight the second set, and
she was stronger mentally than Peyton. Peyton was a little
bit nervous. You know, the crowd was cheering for a
Venus and it must have been tough on her.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
But yeah, I was very impressed.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
And then Venus was able to back it up and
played doubles well today yesterday I actually watched it again.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
A big fan of Venus. She was my favorite tennis
player when I was young.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Well that's the thing, like you were a baby when
she was winning Grand slams.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Well, I saw him mean this morning, first one one
a match when she was fourteen and now forty five. Yep,
how impressive that is. So I think someone's chasing me
with a knife. I could have just let them take me.
I'd be like, just you know.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Reppressor as well.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
No, what you do, there are no limits for excellence.
It's all about what's in your head and how much
you're able to put into it. If you put in
the work mentally, physically, and emotionally, then.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
You can have the result.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
It doesn't matter how many times have you fall down,
doesn't matter how many times you get sick or you
get hurt or whatever it is. If you continue to
believe and put in the work, there is an opportunity.
There's space for you venus obviously satisfaction with the wind.
Is there any satisfaction improving some people wrong?
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Or do you just not think that way?
Speaker 6 (06:37):
No, because I'm not here for anyone else except for me,
and I also have nothing to prove the zip zero.
I'm here for me because I want to be here,
and proving anyone wrong or thinking about anyone has never
gotten me a win, and it has never gotten me
a loss. No one has put in the work for me.
(06:58):
I put in the work, so it doesn't matter what
anyone says. It doesn't stop the work that I put in.
It doesn't start my belief. Even if people are saying
amazing things, I still doesn't help you when so I
really just try to focus on myself.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Imagine how many like females she has inspired. And yeah,
she would have shut a few people.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Absolutely, she would have had people saying behind her back
to her face, you know, as she was going back
into you know, this rebirth of her career, let's go
that hard and her just kind of being told what
are you doing here? Like should you be going into
commentary or starting another fashion line?
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Or when Indian Wells announced her wild kind of just
like well actually now I'm like I haven't heard of this.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
That was so funny.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Okay, thanks, but no, yeah, so yeah, pretty cool?
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Did you see?
Speaker 5 (07:57):
I think it was the photos she took on court
like before she's about to play the singles match with
the umpire and Peyton, and I just thought it was
so it was such a serve. She had like hand
on the hip and she was serving for the camera
and it was just so fab like I've always since
I was like since I remember tennis, like since I
(08:19):
was a child, I've always just admired. It was like
Venus and Serena in particular that just like were so
fab and I would like literally like practice my poses
in the mirror based off like Serena pose because.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
I never actually thought about it, like I just stand
there with my racket like this.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
And yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
That hiph it's true, like everyone's standing there and Venus
was like giving it and I was like absolutely, that is.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
The energy, the charisma and the confidence that has gotten
her back up to win and take down Peyton who
wasn't even born when when Venus had won four Grand
Slam trophies. Totally, that is so it's huge, crazy. Yeah,
I just love it. Yeah, that's why the women's side
of the game is so constantly amazing surprising in the
best possible way. It has some real curly storylines that
(09:12):
always seem to come out.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
But women are pretty fab but one I did think
her on court interview was really funny too, because she
brought up how she had been looking at her like
health insurance and realized all these benefits she wasn't using.
So she's like, well, I thought I'd better get back
out training and like if I've got this health cover, why.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
An't I using it?
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Which she's almost due for a seniors card, so she's.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Like, maybe I need some injuries, you know, let's go.
She's so funny.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
She's just like she's such a performer. She's like so articulate.
Like I was just admiring her on court interview afterwards,
and the way that she just like continually like addresses
the crowd like yeah, I don't know, I just feel
like there's this like absolute sense of ease, and she's
just such a natural performer and a charmer. I don't know,
I'm obsessed with her.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
She's great, she's obsessed worthy.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Actually, do you think she's going to be good enough
to consistently challenge more players up ahead? Like do you
think this is come back? I really hope so, but
obviously tough to say after one match, after one match
technically plate three.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
So it's actually she must be really fit to enter
both doubles and singles, Like even when I was coming
back from injuries, I would never play both. And Stormy
is another example. She doesn't play both. And yeah, it's
just how much load she can take, because, as we
(10:44):
spoke about it, like training and competing is completely different.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Is that because you can control your training environment or
as opposed to a match where the other person's literally
trying to outdo you.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Yes, exactly, Yeah, you don't know.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
You can track your matches you like, and in training
you track how many balls you've hear, but then you
play a match and it's like two times more, like
the serve lot is two times more just because you
have to, Like you can't just say hey, sorry, I'm
over my fifty serves like.
Speaker 5 (11:20):
Here, like I feel like the Venus, and like social
media's reaction to Venus is like such a prime example
of how I guess, like polarizing and brutal.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Social media is obviously like the.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
Amount of doubt that has been you know, thrown, like
negativity from people being like why is she given this
wild card? But then even after her first round win
the comment section, the change up has been quite immediate,
and it's like, yes, that's how.
Speaker 8 (11:49):
Queen, Yes, that's probably the same person.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Get a wild car.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
It's such like positive or negative. It's like constant, this
contradiction of just like intense energy. So to be able
to block that out and just focus on the tennis, yeah,
and just go yeah, go for yourself.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yeah, she's definitely an expert athlete is.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
And she oh hell yeah, we might change track and
I might go into mine and.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Talk a little bit. Yeah, call, you're right, Thank you
for I really appreciate it. I was just sitting here wondering, going, Venus.
That's all well and good, but I need to know
what Corbreys are. Yeah, totally.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
What caught my eye is can't get past a nosey
Darren Cahill, coach current coach of Sinner Kingmaker. Yep, he
announced I think it was this year or end of last,
indicating that he would no longer be seeing out coaching
with Sinner after the end of twenty twenty five. Now,
(12:46):
on the eve of the finals at Wimbledon, they were
having dinner Sinner and k Hill, and K Hill said, look,
let's make a bet. If you win, you can choose
if I stay or not as your coach. If if
you lose, I'm going to.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
See you mate. Yeah, so kind of a gun to
the head sort of moment.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
But if you.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Lose, your like it's sad, Like you're even more sad.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, double sad, double sad. True, but then he was
obviously double happy.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Well, yeah, I feel like this could be much. It's
very tenous to double yeah exactly.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Yeah, you know, it reminds me of like when Luke
would come see me. He would sacrifice his schedule a
little bit, like the challenges tournaments and he would come
see me, and it's it was always double sad.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
But if I lost, because that means he would like
live to his.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
That's a bit of pressure on you though.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah, I hate it. Well, I'm sad now and you're
not even here. Disappoint me. You're like, get cool and off.
My toornament reminds me of that. Yeah, like that, because
then I couldn't turn around. Gone. I've loved working with you,
but I.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Still think it's time for you to go play golf.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Yeah, but he said no, I actually would like you
to stay around. I think what k Hill will do
will stay coaching. They do have another coach as well
in the team, but he may not travel as much
because I think that's really where Darren was at was
that he loved coaching, but he couldn't be on the road.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
As much as he he would like to be. Darren Adam,
does he actually come back and live here?
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (14:39):
He does. Yeah, it does.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
So. Yeah, that's big.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
News for Sinner and k Hill. I'm very excited by it.
Have you met Darren? What are your thoughts on him?
Dash are nice bloke, very nice.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
I've actually had a few chats and with him. I
had a chat with him about Nicole Pratt because we
were kind of in a similar situation. Pratty just had
a family, her two girls, and she wasn't able to
travel and I was like, Darren, How do I convince her?
Speaker 2 (15:12):
So, what you've got to do is win Wimbledon and
then double happy.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Yeah didn't happen, unfortunately, but really really good coach, very
respected as well.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
It seems like a really nice person.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Obviously I haven't really met him other than maybe in
the hallways or hearing him be interviewed by one of
you guys, but it seems like a good person.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Yeah, and he's pretty funny, is what. I've got a
good dry wit about South Australian. Yeah, it's probably he
does have negatives. You're right South Australian. I'm getting the
sign from the producers that most of the audience live
in Adelaide. Obviously joking, I really I really want that
South Australian Tourism coin. So I love South Australia. You
(16:00):
you make one announcement about your podcast career and sorry
you're pouring yourself out to tourism. I'm around, available to travel.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
We'll talking of you.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
I caught you're great question bro Sega. Let's go.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
Well, I guess like on a similar vein of like wines. Perhaps,
don't worry, I'll get back to this, Okay. I just
watching you draw that long bow, remember this, wines, travel, okay, rest,
this is all sound amazing. They're all great things, and
Carlos el KaAZ has embraced all of those amazing things.
(16:38):
So this week he obviously announced that he has withdrawn
from Toronto, and simultaneously he also posted this Instagram carousel
and it was just like a whole bunch of fun
times with him by the pool, bit of Paela, also
going to some parties, some DJ sets, and I just
wanted to come on the pod today and say that
(16:59):
is amazing. Yeah, goals, And I love it for a
multitude of reasons. I think it's a great example of
how important it is to set boundaries, how important it
is to prioritize rest, and to be proactive about avoiding
that burnout. Because Dash, I know that you and I
have seen on your TikTok you've actually spoken about this,
(17:22):
your experience with like tennis player burnout and the importance
of kind of you know, prioritizing.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
That rest exactly. Yeah, and it seems fun.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
And I feel like years ago, like no one polls
stuff like that and their only.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Post yeah back to work. I mean that's what I posted.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
It's just funny because I was like, on my well,
hopeful is.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Differentes and whacken ball No, but probably reading and stuff
that's more her jam her literature call back to anyone.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
Yeah, so yeah, it's funny to see that. Yea, and yeah,
I feel like he's having so much fun.
Speaker 6 (18:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
It a bit after French Open, after the win, where it.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Was like being yeah, the model service and the whole
I was also.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
Into the Byre literally made finals of like yeah, he's fine.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Yeah, it's like, let's humanize these tennis players. It's also
two yeah I'm amazing controlled. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
I think it's so fun to like normalize the experience
of being like, hey, I'm a tennis player, but like
I'm also human and like we all know, even like
as a consumer of tennis, I'm so aware of how
grueling the schedule is. And it's like, yeah, if you
want to like party like Betha for a week, like yeah, damn,
I'm jealous, Like send me an invite, but like I'm
not looking at you with judgment because I'm like, you work.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
So hard and like players are rockstars. You're a rockstar,
thank you, So do you know what?
Speaker 4 (18:58):
I went then partied in the Philippines for the wedding
that actually made me more sad.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
I was triple sad.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
It's over. I have to go back on tour, Okay, I.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Mean, but we're like, oh, we have to go back
to the office and sit in front of a computer
and join team's calls with our colleagues.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Whereas everyone felt yeah after that wedding, So I wasn't
the only one.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yeah, triple sad, triple How was this leaping back to
wine because I don't I haven't because doesn't drink.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Yeah, I'm assuming that he's letting metaphorically he's having some,
he's having some sangria.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Would I would love to know what his drink of choices?
Speaker 1 (19:40):
I would too.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
I just think it's cool because obviously he's like one
of the greatest players in the world right now, and
for him to set that example, especially for like future
generations that like you can be at the top of
your game and still party and be in Spain or like,
I don't know, just take a week off because.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yeah, we'll g d by the pool totally. It's as
good for it. Like he needs to be training and
be physically fit, but the mental game is so important,
you got to have a break man.
Speaker 5 (20:07):
Yeah, him, But he also joins a list of players
who have also skipped out on Toronto next week because
we also have Sinner, yep, we have Djokovic.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
I think we have Draper as well.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
I think it's quite interesting and perhaps a sign of
once again to a scheduling. And is this a case
of like it's too much too soon, like especially after Wimbledon.
Some of these players obviously have injuries, but like a
lot of these players as well are like they have
fatigue and they just need to rest you.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
Two week events.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
Yeah, do you think that tournament organizers are looking at,
for example, all the high players this year pulling out
of Toronto and going go and thinking, okay, something else and.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
To take the fine on the chair you're happy and
that's an expensive fine, Like.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, you have to be at the top end of
the game.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Sample how much would it be? I can't remember.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I've never had to pay that big of a fine,
but yeah, but like tens yeah more, And I think
it like goes up every time.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
You draw, Like so if you, if you.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Like any one top thirty will not afford like not
want to.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Yeah, that's basically if you take that fine, it's like, well,
can't pay my physio for the next six months.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
Yeah, well they can't even comes on the road. Yeah,
plus is really good prize money to begin with. So
you're like, well, minus the prize money, all that, all
the fine, It's like.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Is it worth yeah, risk, Yeah, I wonder if that's
what pop Rin's done, because he was going to take
a break and then he's back playing. That's what I
said to Luke with like breaks that no one actually
takes a break.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Takes the break.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
What's like, what's one week of not playing tennis gonna
do to your mental health?
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Like when you've got the stress, That's what I mean.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
Like everyone's like, oh, I'm taking a break. Yeah, you're
going on one week vacation.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
On holiday, but still hearing your email notifications going on.
I hate that exactly. Good every morning you just have
to quick check quick Yeah.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
It's just yeah, I'm like, it's just such a brutal
time of the year because obviously, well the TikTok down
to the US Open in a bit, it's like French
immediately whiplash into grass to and then it's like Wimbledon's done.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
It's like let's go over to North America. Yeah, I
just got the grass stands out. I'm my sure. So
now I'm in bloody New York. What's going on?
Speaker 1 (22:40):
You're in Australia.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
It's never yeah, it's never ending.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
What would you is there?
Speaker 5 (22:47):
I mean, obviously like it's quite a brutal schedule from
start to finish year round, but would you say there's
like one particular period of the year schedule wise it
is the most brutal.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
I think for Oz's is.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
The European summer, so like well starts in spring, like yeah,
because you can't really come back home, like you literally
have up against which I did this year because that
was cool. Yeah, but you yeah, you.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Can't, so you know, it's a long stint.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
But then many ausist still just stay in Europe or
they just travel to North America. So I feel like
for ousis it's always brutal, like we're just always traveling.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Yeah, we're thirty hours away from home. Yeah, you can't
just drop over and.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Jet like is insane. But I feel like.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Many players now, like you know, Sam used to come back.
Ash should always come back, and it's once you.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Do the flight, you're like, oh it was brutal.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
But worth it home.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Yeah, back again.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Yeah, it's fine in business.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
When you're lying flat, no what to carry? Save?
Speaker 1 (24:15):
What's got your.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Someone's vying for breeze job, don't you? Well what caught
my eye? Now we're talking about our cras in Spain
having a lovely time. There another kind of rivalry turned
bromance Roger and his fam Roger Federer, that is you
may have heard of him pop down to Spain, to
Majorca to visit his good old pal Raffa, and I
(24:39):
just thought this is brilliant. There were shots of them
at his academy at Madacor. There were shots of them
having a hit of golf, Roger's twin daughters, Miela and Charlene. Yeah,
the neighbors. Yeah Charlene, where's your dad? Oh he's in Switzerland.
He's a billionaire ten player. Oh thanks Charlene. Anyway, so
(25:03):
they were having your practice hit at the academy and
it was just good fun. And it got me thinking
what rivalries have turned into real friendships. Like I don't
think Mace and Roll and Borg are like best buds,
but they have a you know, a bit of fun
like a labor cup in the past. Who would you
like to see turn from enemies to friends tennis or.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Not Serena and Maria become.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Kind Yeah, I was pover.
Speaker 5 (25:31):
Yeah, our minds together, the synergy, it's pretty good. I
was thinking the exact same thing, didn't didn't Serena. Serena
went on stage at some awards show and.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Mentioned my oh didn't she rap some kind.
Speaker 5 (25:46):
Of like parody rap about rivalries and it was like
addressed towards Maria, all very tongue in cheek. But I
remember listening to that and just thinking, how cool that
they're at that point where now they can look back.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Added like the wrap.
Speaker 9 (25:59):
It was a something let me put this on the
record job that she could be my tennis.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
Oh this is a little unprofessional, but excuse me?
Speaker 6 (26:28):
Oh hey Maria? Oh you sorry? Oh yeah, girlma every word?
What are you doing later?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
But yeah, no, I love that. And I thought you're
going to go like full Super Bowl halftime show Serena v. Drake,
And I'm like, don't think he was a player.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
I wonder what other which other parents that you'd like
to see become absolute best.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Friends dislike each other so.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
Dash I'm not knowing that.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Handshakes, bad handshakes, mad handshakes like a banker.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
And I love I like, they're fine now, they're fine because.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
They they're backing together.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, they played at the Remember Colin was under the water.
Colins just everyone.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
I love her too. She's amazing.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Actual beef between.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Colin's to the crowd, yeah than just well Colin's and
Ossie crowd, Colin's and Aussie crowd.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
But I feel like we love her now, like as
in we always have. I think the.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Crowd was really loving how she was, like they was.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
She was like.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
I think I think it takes like extreme nerve and
like confidence and power to just like stand up in
front of people and be like I don't care literally
kiss myn was obsessed with energy.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
I love that was just so good right, And I'm
like that's like it's like very like to curious that
I always like want to.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
Do this, like when I come back, I'm gonna be
like Daniel Daniel Collins.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Yeah, bringing a bit of that like fire and entertainment. Yeah,
maybe it'll help people forget your good from behind comment.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
Oh my god, why would you bring this up?
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Have you heard it?
Speaker 2 (28:24):
I have heard it?
Speaker 5 (28:25):
Yeah, I have I'm going to be honest with you,
that's stupid.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
We're just going to move into a little bit of
a bonus. What's caught your eye because it dropped Australia
time this morning and it seems that quite shockingly, Sister
Pass and Gorian have broken up in their coaching relationships.
Siss Pass hit Instagram stories this morning and indicated working
with Goran was brief but an intense experience and a
(28:55):
truly valuable chapter in my journey. I'm thankful for the time, effort,
and energy he dedicated to me and my team. So
it was a bit more that he wrote, but.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
It was probably more thought put into that comment than
what Goran said.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
That could have been I could have been, but there's
no dashes what I could tell.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Such a I am an anyway, I thoughts and prayers
go out to sister person Gouran.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
You know it's hard when you have a breakup.
Speaker 6 (29:32):
I've heard.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Yeah, well it's really do for two here.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Double double sad.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
I will say the use of the word intense really
stood out me too.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
It was a brief but an intense experience.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
That it was like the intense on Chord sessions or
his token buds.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
I reckon there was a lot of intensity in every possible.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
I think so to some intense chats.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Yeah, just curious language.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
I think it's curious to not surprised that this is
the outcome after what Goran said to the media. But yeah,
we'll see what happens. Visis Patz's coaching team. And as
I said, thoughts and press, Okay, we're going to go
to an ad break. We'll be back with more news,
a Dash's mailbag, and a brand new segment.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
After this.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Welcome back, We're going to hit other headlines that are
big en Dennis. So, the US Open have updated their
mixed dub's entry list now contains twenty five teams that
will be narrowed down to sixteen.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
How do they do that?
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Eight eight on combined singles, Ragonking and eight world cards.
And I'm assuming the world cards will predominantly come from
traditional mixed double players.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
I would assume. I don't think so. You don't think so.
You think the world cards will still be like top
ten twenty.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Players tickets, tickets.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Tickets, Yeah, exactly, Well that upsets me.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
I'm just then would it's Aul and Aravalla even like
getting on their rankings. No, because it's it's based on
singles ranking. They could be a wild card, so there
could be a wild code, but that's not a guarantee.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Like, but is it box office? Is my theory? Like
it needs to be the whole point of this flipping
on its head that the US opener do it.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Yeah, it is to have top.
Speaker 5 (31:22):
Before the events. So they've just said that, like, here
are a whole bunch of teams. It could be these teams.
It won't be all of these teams, and we'll tell
you who those teams are later pretty much.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Yeah, I'm curious about that. It's like the teasiest tease
that's ever teased.
Speaker 5 (31:40):
Like to even advertise and theirs that will not exist.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Really all the top players list officially entered, so it's
basically those who have entered.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Do you think I'm sure they would have been austraight
and open. It's going to follow this what we have
heard and we will check this, but this could be.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
We don't have any plans on changing from how mixed
doubles have always traditionally been played.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
That's first opening. We believe it's already too big. We've
got too much on before the major starts.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Yeah, we do have too much on it to be fair,
but we we don't see any change in our doubles. Okay,
and Craig has come out and said that he's quite
happy with the how it's always been done.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
But what they've.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Added to this list from some of the bigger names
is Demono with Bolt I thought they were not originally No,
then you Ruin yes, yeap Venus and a Pelka Riley
that's probably a wild Guard yeah, probably. But being removed
(32:48):
is Bodoza and Sipa.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Oh why why aren't they playing together anyone?
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Because they broke.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Officially, they haven't officially announced it on the Sissedoza Instagram
from what I've seen, they haven't.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
I think they deleted the page though that's pretty indication.
Speaker 4 (33:08):
I'm not sure, but Gael and sid Delina deleted their
their family their family won. But then because I think
they briefly broke up and then they were engaged and
the page was back on recently.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
I'm pop it in draft for a moment, just in case.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Switching to private do something. I always think it's a
bit of a risk to.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
Go public with a joint couple's Instagram page.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
What do you think is worse like getting a tat.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Or a page question, a permanent piece of ink on
your skin, or a social media.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Pedler on his.
Speaker 4 (33:48):
Yeah he removed it made something.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Oh yeah, the ink worse. But look a joint Instagram.
It's very public, it's a very statement thing.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Moving on to other news, you've just thrown me en.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
I know these photos broke my hand.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
She's recently had surgery.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
She had arthroscopic surgery to try and resolve persistent pain
she's been experiencing on her right elbow.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
So she's going to miss the US Open.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
I think this has been an ongoing issue, so hopefully
she recovers well.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Thoughts and thoughts always always get better.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
Rest up, Yes, change, she won't be the US Open,
but hopefully we get her.
Speaker 4 (34:37):
She'll be booked for her shirts. Remember that quote she
was saying in the off season, she was too busy,
Like she didn't even really have enough season because she
was busy doing photo shoots.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
That is so iconic.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
But she wasn't like trying to be funny, She's saying actual, Well,
I was like, most blairs are resting, but I'm busy.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Star in China. She is a star when he was
open that. I would see these flocks of people running
and I was like, who's coming through the crowd and
went I was like, wells's same here, right, is that
what you're saying? Yeah, here as well here in Australia.
Too crazy love a rock star player.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
I love it. Sometimes you don't need to be off
in a bether. You can just go get some arthroscopic
surgery anyway.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
And other news on stubbur Is taking a break from tennis.
I was upset to see this, but I think.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
She's the Minister for happiness. She is and now she's minister.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
I always thought that, and it's always like the ones
that are like actually happen.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
She's like super friend and she was like struggling.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
I know, so she's you never know what people are going.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Yeah, always be kind.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
I am kind you are, and you know what, You're
a good person. Thanks.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
And she's actually taking a break.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
She didn't just announce something and then and she's like, oh, yeah,
I'm playing next week.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
I think she'll be off for quite a few months.
So she's aiming to prioritize her well being and discover
her joint life. Deep down, I haven't truly felt happy
on the court for some time now, so she's been
playing through injuries for the past two years. Yeah, and yeah,
I think it's good for her.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
But hopefully we see her back.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
She'll be back.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
She's spoken about it to us in like in the
locker realms and stuff. But yeah, she's finally taking that time, yeah,
to prioritize herself.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
It's so good.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Yeah, and she'll be better for it. I reckon. It's amazing.
Speaker 5 (36:36):
And the more like posts we see about this online,
the more players that come forward, it would just like,
do nothing but contribute to this culture of like you
need to keep prioritizing players' mental health.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
It's amazing. Yeah, break have a kickcat, It's all good
with Kaz. Are you feeling low? Do bottle service in
a Betha Announcements brought to you by the Tennis.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Are you ready to do your jingle?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Insert whistle sound. It's Dasher's mail bag goose.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
I know he's very good at that.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Isn't he making sound anything?
Speaker 3 (37:23):
But we put it out to our community on Tennis
Australia to get some questions for Dasher while here on
the pod.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
So we're going to produce admit something.
Speaker 8 (37:35):
These are all real. I was wanted, we get I've
want something bad.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
You want less wholesome, more, some scandal, perhaps.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
Some fun, Okay, I think scandalous.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Ill find how many little boo boos do you really have?
Speaker 6 (37:56):
Can?
Speaker 4 (37:57):
I My mom just got mail. I'm like, mom, like
it's a fake, but it's from my mom that.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
It will be in a different that she can't see.
Speaker 4 (38:08):
No, it's I haven't seen it. Yeah, she's going to
bring it.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Well, I might kick off with my question, even though
I feel like you've kind of ruined it, But I
will reveal who this question came from because I believe
you know them.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
So the first question is, did you then want to
be revealed? I think so.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Did you start the labuobou craze in Paris that's hit
the w t A tour? Yeah exactly. Everyone's like, was
it you following the trendsetter?
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Well? I always. Michael Lagazo wants to.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Know that's so funny, Michael my coach, Yeah crazy, did
you see everyone's getting I spent three or four hours
in the line to get my.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Stupid lined up with everyone. Yeah, that's just one of
the people.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
When I want something, I commit.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
Yeah, Pop Mark.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
Yeah, with Maddy English.
Speaker 5 (39:04):
And you line because I'm always so fascinated by like, whoa,
that's a long line and whoa what do you do?
Speaker 2 (39:12):
For four hours?
Speaker 1 (39:13):
We were like doing stuff. Well, let's face it. I
was just in.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
There, like just you should go down play it now?
Speaker 1 (39:22):
No, I was like it was bad.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
You should have made Jason stay in the line and
you and Maddie go.
Speaker 1 (39:28):
Do they actually went? They actually went shopping and I
still stood in the line. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
Yeah, I think after waiting that long, you need to
buy one, don't you? Were you happy with the one
you got because you never.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Really know what's in the box? Do I like don't
care about them?
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Yeah? Moved on news, I mean Michael, she's moved.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
On from but yes she did start the gros.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
She's finding the next thing.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
That's the question.
Speaker 5 (39:53):
Onto the next question from B Underscore E M M
E underscore be underscore, lots of underscores.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Do you have a memorable locker room moment that you
can share with us?
Speaker 9 (40:06):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (40:07):
My god, are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (40:08):
What does this have to be? That one.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Question? It was hard to choose them this week. They're
really good.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
That's like, because there can be a bit of fun
with this answer.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
We definitely discussed like who was broken up with who
in the locker rooms?
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Like obviously does it have a bit of a high
school vibe being on the tour?
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (40:33):
And one hundred Who would be your favorite person to
talk to you in the locker reteal? Oh, women, it's.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
There are just some random like chats that we have,
like waiting for a match. And I remember at the
French Open this year, just in qualies, there were a
few like younger girls, and I was just like talking
so much crap, like really young girls, like they probably
(41:05):
their first slam.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
And I was.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
Trying to explain to them that there is like an
IQ test that you have to pass with when you
try and become a WTA player, and they were like
so scared, and I was like, no, you obviously don't
have to do that because we have to we have
to do a bit of onboarding and a bit of
(41:30):
you know, I don't know, I don't even know what
they're like all the courses. And I said that part
of it is an IQ test and.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
Sorry, did they believe you?
Speaker 9 (41:41):
Were?
Speaker 2 (41:41):
They staring at you with wide eyes.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
Like yeah, they knew that I was lying.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
I think you'd be my favorite person to talk to
her look room if I was a professional tennis player.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
I keep trying and they keep kicking me out.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
No, oh my god, I forgot.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
I walked into the men's local room Australia and open
and who was in there? I can't remember, but the
security stopped me pretty pretty quickly, pretty quickly.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
But then the funny thing.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
Serena then was like, well, did you at least like
have a look who was in there? And I'm like no,
like they would turn me around. It was so funny, Like.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
I don't know how I managed to.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
I think I was like maybe following Luke or I
thought it was the gym because it's super close to
the gym, and yeah, I just walked straight into the
men's locker room and just like it was like, oh
not that one.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Turned around, looked around, looked down when this is the
wrong run.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
That's probably my favorite.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
That's so good, very good. All right. This one is
from just Vicki or just Vici. It's either or so dash.
If you could create your own tennis tournament, what would
it be? I want? Well, just Viccy wants the name
of the event. The surface where it is what sitting
and any other special elements. All right, okay, so I
(43:07):
mean my default whenever something kind of left. No, no, no,
the easy answer the cup or something.
Speaker 4 (43:15):
Yeah, I thought that, But why do you hate tofuon?
Speaker 2 (43:20):
Now we're talking about Dasher's dog, not the soy based
vegetarian product.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Yes, good sausage dog Fest.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
We're talking about the locker room. Still, it's the tournament.
Oh my bad, my bad, I'm writing it down. Sausage
sausage Fest.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
No, you say dash, not ducks, and you mess that.
You say ducks because you're.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
What I'm trying to be a banker.
Speaker 5 (43:53):
The sausage dog Okay, the sausage dog Fest.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
Okay, sausages courts.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
Have the locker room. Dush this this? I like where
this is going. Let's go. Let's continue Frankfort connotations aside,
that's a pretty good answer even without. Let's just go
with Frankfurt, shall we, because I know louis sitting there going. Okay,
there's like nine different puns and I could go last
(44:26):
the other special elements. Don't tempt us with the good time.
Instead of doubles, there's threesome. Perfect is this?
Speaker 6 (44:42):
No?
Speaker 2 (44:42):
This has legs? I see it, little ones at the
bottom of the dog. Yeah, okay, okay, so what do
we got? What do we end up with there?
Speaker 1 (44:51):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (44:51):
The name of the tournament is Sausage Dog first, the
surface is hardcore and it will be held in Frankfurt.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
As for the.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
Special elements, cheer.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
Mustard, just vichy.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
I thought that was a good answer.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
And that was dashes mailbag.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
That was really fun.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
I've got to say, our listeners or our social community
had some really good questions.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
We had trouble whittling it down. Great questions, great questions.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
But we've reached our favorite part of every episode, oh
the end.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
A top five.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
We are doing a smash or passing shot where I'm
going to show you five different things that have happened
this week, and we have to say if we'd smash it, oh,
we'd pass on it.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Okay. I love that. Yeah, that is my favorite.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
Right. So is this your decisions or we all get
a bit of input.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
Apparently our producers, our producers would like us to agree.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
Ideally, Okay, ideally, but why but I think you should
have like a super four. The final decision comes from.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
You have listened to too much crime?
Speaker 2 (46:00):
Yeah, perfect.
Speaker 5 (46:01):
If it's a draw, you have the deciding, I have
the deciding.
Speaker 3 (46:05):
Okay, cool, So we're going to kick off with one. Okay,
we're going to go with number one. We've got Leila Fernandez.
She posted a post on Instagram asking for people to
submit dating applications to date her. She was sick of
the apps, so she went out to her audience one
(46:27):
to one approach. Apparently, the twenty two year old has
never been on a date, and one condition of entries
that the winner has to meet her dad first.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
We'll play the clip.
Speaker 5 (46:37):
I'm not a big fan of beating apps, so I'm
actually going to do things my own age. I'm going
to go on one day for one hour in Montreal.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
But if you want to be my date, let me
know about yourself.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
And here there is that maybe maybe they're like I
read a lot of the comments just on the post,
not the DMS that she would have, and there a
little scary.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
The d ms would have been let's say, picture heavy.
Speaker 5 (47:04):
Yeah, I didn't see this, so this wasn't like part
of like SPONSORIP or anything.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
This is just her not coming to you.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
Maybe it's promoting. It can't be like.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Some viral campaign. Gotcha, I've actually it.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
Could be that's what it is. Honestly, well, what what
do we think? Smash your pass?
Speaker 2 (47:24):
It's creepy, you know. Louis like, well, I actually sent her.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
You know what, I'm I'm going to smash it because
and I'm going to look at the camera for this
one down the barrel.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
God, he's got a soliloquy coming up.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
It's hard out here.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
Actually, I agree.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
Dating it's hard. Dating is hard out here.
Speaker 5 (47:45):
We're out on the streets, problem on the corner.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
It's hard.
Speaker 5 (47:51):
It's hard to meet people, and you know what, you know,
it can be easy to fall into a funk of
the apps and feeling like you're not meeting people. So
Sue raise Sue Hope for putting herself out there.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
I'm going to smash it.
Speaker 3 (48:05):
So I'm going to make final calls with you break yeah,
because I've got two passes and we've got a smash hard, smash, good,
good soliloquy. But I'm going to call it as a
pass because I just think it's a bit desperate.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
Yeah, it feels like an AD. I feel like it's
going to be an ad.
Speaker 2 (48:25):
Yeah, I think it's a I hope so, but I
just think it's my biggest issue.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
She makes money out of this, but I just don't.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
Think it's going to work.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
It meets a man of a dreams.
Speaker 2 (48:34):
Yeah well yeah, but not through that. Just make your
partner through twenty two.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
My big recommendation would be, don't date till you're twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
Got plenty of time and at rhymes so you know
it's factual.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Yeah, there's a whole hippie thing behind that. Anyway, we're
going to get into number two.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
And for this one, it's eager and she is building Lego.
Answer the question around smash or passes do we do?
We build ligur go at.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
She's a long time I don't think she built it.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
I know she didn't because she's a Lego does like
to do Lego, but she didn't build that one. She's
a longtime fan of Lego and is sponsored by them,
and she was gifted strawberry by Lego.
Speaker 1 (49:16):
Would be building.
Speaker 3 (49:20):
Brand you can partner with Lego, but this was gifted.
The strawberry was gifted from wimbled, which is actually quite
so cool.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
Lego is great and that's awesome. That's really sweet. Yeah,
cooler than the trophy yeah, well it looks better than
it's got a little pine. I mean, I have a
love hate relationship with Lego. Like I really like Lego.
I think it's really fun. I think it's really I
hate when you step on it. Yes, that does suck.
But because my five year old loves Lego, so it's
(49:49):
like I really want that set, like for his birthday
or whatever. So we get in the set and who
ends up building it? This guy.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
I'm not good with instructions, and I'll do it.
Speaker 2 (49:58):
In step by step, like yeah, cool, do this bit
and then like, oh, let's let's have a little break,
and he's like, no, I want the thing that's on
the front of the box. It's like yeah, current take
hours days. I built him this race car with like
with full remote control. Did me a week? No, he's
very protective of it. He's the three year old brother. However,
he likes to anyway, won't go down.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Like the behavior of the three year old.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Yeah, he's you. Basically, I think I have an opinion.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
What is the question smash smash.
Speaker 2 (50:28):
Well, which is awkward for Lego. You know, wanted to
smash it because if you drop that thing, it's smash
it and even as like I've never I was never
a lego child. Are you okay? Building?
Speaker 5 (50:42):
And then you kind of build it and then I'll
be like, what now, however, Comma, despite that, com.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
No, today we're going commas good. However, Comma, I think
that's amazing. Build thatsh No, you really aren't meant to
do that.
Speaker 6 (50:58):
Three.
Speaker 3 (50:59):
This is my favorite Novak Djokovic singing while mowing the lawn.
Speaker 4 (51:03):
Corsimia means like cutting the grass.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (51:13):
I think it was like a Wimbledon reference.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
Whoash? I mean, he looks love a little bit of turf.
Speaker 1 (51:21):
But I wouldn't moan in that outfit. I wouldn't do we.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Really think, No, that's mowing his own lawn on the regular.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (51:28):
Yes, he probably would be because he has to be
grounding so it has to be perfect cool.
Speaker 2 (51:34):
Yeah, I think it's amazing. I think it's smash, immaculate vibes. Smash.
I'm a surprised if neighbors were that close to him.
You have a biggest state.
Speaker 1 (51:43):
Okay, we're gonna go to four.
Speaker 3 (51:47):
Venus Williams a Princess Daries inspired twelve and Wave after
a win.
Speaker 1 (51:52):
Yeah, I was wondering what that was.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (51:56):
Hi's Venus here and I'm going to show you my
signature wave at the end of my matches. It was
actually inspired by this movie, The Princess Diaries. There's this
point in the movie where she says, like, you have
to wave like this. So at the end of my matches,
I started waving like this, and then somehow I started
adding a squirrel at the end, and so you kind
of step back and then you go up and around
(52:17):
and like momentum, you can kind of get around almost twice.
Speaker 1 (52:23):
I love that it actually comes from somewhere.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
Yeah, it's not just something she just did. I had
no idea. It was inspired by the Princess di.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
I haven't I haven't seen it. It's actually quite good.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
You're probably too young, Disney.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
I'm sure you can find it. Yeah you can.
Speaker 5 (52:38):
It'd be one of the things anyway, smash smash, of course, elegant, graceful.
Speaker 4 (52:44):
Not a doubt, And I would look silly if I
did that.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
She was so graceful doing that.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
She was with a bit of practice.
Speaker 4 (52:52):
I feel likes to have like nice nail beds to
do it, and like nice.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
That rules me up too. Okay, I'm going to press
five again.
Speaker 6 (53:01):
Bye.
Speaker 3 (53:03):
It's Todd will Bridge being driven to dinner in a
car to a castle in a vintage Cadillac Smash or pass.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
Now you gave me a bit of mini because it's
a micro roaster, so it's a road legal car. I
think they're awesome.
Speaker 1 (53:19):
I think it's silly.
Speaker 3 (53:21):
I think it looks like he's stuck in it and
we're gonna have He definitely booned.
Speaker 4 (53:27):
Is that Steve. She's our friend, so whatever she does is.
Speaker 2 (53:34):
There we go.
Speaker 5 (53:34):
Okay, I think I think it's beautiful smash. I'm obsessed.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
I'm overruled, so we're going to go with just do it.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
I think the fact that it's smaller makes it better
for me. Kind of looks like Richie rich for his
like child size car.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
Looks seriously, it feels like a mini car and you're
gonna have ye micro.
Speaker 1 (53:55):
I don't know cars either. I need to get a car.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
There we go, well, I know, Todd. Oh here, okay,
realize the cameras. Yes, that's what it's all about.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
Okay, we're mil to the end of the show. Let's
hear everyone's ace of the week.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
I love this week.
Speaker 3 (54:17):
We've got a shot clock now where everyone's got thirty second.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
Who's first?
Speaker 1 (54:22):
You go first?
Speaker 2 (54:23):
Okay, what's your ace of the week? Okay? So I
was thinking pretty long and hard, and I didn't really
have like something that happened or something I did or
got it or picked up. But I was reading in
the paper today two humpback whales was spotted going under
the Westgate Bridge, like coming right up to your melbo,
and it was one of those stories where you just
kind of go, oh, that's really.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
Cool, perfect, So how is that your ace?
Speaker 2 (54:45):
Because it was an ace was like burm, he's had
a bad week. Yeah, it's been appreciate week. But yeah
the Wales.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Oh my god, we've moved to the next person. Louis whoa.
Speaker 5 (54:54):

I realized, oh my god, on Saturday, I'm going on
a winery tour. Yeah, now who winery tours?
Speaker 2 (55:09):
I have?
Speaker 5 (55:09):
Fifteen seconds are the greatest inventions. You're telling me that
I can get in a minibus with all my gorgeous,
gorgeous close friends and from winery to winery swirl some
vino in my mouth and look fancy obsessed.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
Great, well done. Three seconds he's on the clock.
Speaker 1 (55:26):
Shut and the clock meeting louis seriously like real life.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
They're hugging it.
Speaker 4 (55:36):
Only just hit me after a while that, oh my god,
I've heard his voice before.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
And yeah, your podcast.
Speaker 2 (55:44):
To meet you too.
Speaker 1 (55:46):
I'm sorry you're like not doing it anymore.
Speaker 2 (55:49):

Speaker 1 (55:52):
So there's going to be a better one.
Speaker 2 (55:54):
So yeah, secret, Yeah, your highlight is now my highlight. Footfall? No,
what do they say footfall? When there's time violation violation?
Speaker 4 (56:08):
I always I used to think that you get a
fine for a time violation, like you have to pay
a fine, but you don't.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Oh oh that's good.
Speaker 1 (56:15):
That was when I was really young. I thought that, Yeah,
do you not ask me?
Speaker 2 (56:20):
Hey, Bray, what's your rest of the week. I'm going
to quick hurry out. You're going to run out of time.

and then they're going, I'll come back, and this is
the fourth time I've used Chicago. You're double happy, double
like a group.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
I'm mostly happy for the heat.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
Yeah, fair enough, No, that sounds great.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
