Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, and welcome to the tennis. That was a bit loud,
wasn't it? Panic for Yannick Sinners struck down with illness
on the eve of the US Open Mixed feelings?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Have the Hello?
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Have the US Open made mixed doubles better or worse?
And the draft is back? Our panel pick their super
teams for Flushing Meadows. All that more ahead with me
zag muelbark and join us always by my co hos
and defending Fantasy champion Bryce Stewart.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
You're very loud today. Yeahs, yeah I do. We won't
do that again. Coffee before the show, but good to
be here.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Well maybe yes, coffee, but whatever else you put in it,
maybe after that's all it was.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
And across the desk we have I'm pretty excited.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Okay, maybe I should get to his name. Everyone's already watching.
Well I can see who it is. We've got the
twenty twenty two Adelaide International Champion who also went on
to win the men's doubles at the AO.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
That very earth the Nazi Cockodacus. Thank you for having
your guys. Have you been here so good.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
To have you?
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Humble to mellow. No, actually you're the normal. Yeah, it's
super excited.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, I'm going to borrow some of your decibel, like
at the level and just kind of calm down everyone.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
I appreciate it. That's good, going pretty pumped.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
And then but of course we've got a fourth seat
over here, our first time are here in pod Labor
Arena starring in the upcoming documentary ball Kids. It's the
head Ball Kids supervisor from the Australian Open Steve youe.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Bishop lovely to beat you with you. Thank you for
the invites. Another good decibel.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Thank you, it's really showing you up.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yeah, that's right, we can fix that in posts. It'll
be fine.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
So guys, thank you so much. Dev you'll start with you.
I'd mention you're in a ball Kids doco. There's a
documentary about the Ballkid.
Speaker 4 (01:38):
There's a documentary about the Bullkis and it's a wonderful
documentary and you should all go and see it if
you haven't already. But yeah, if you're getting cut from
the tickets or I should shouldn't have those kinds of bugs,
absolutely no. I think we've got a little bit of
a teaser that will show towards the end of the program. Yes, Yeah,
and Nasi, welcome to Pod Laborina for the first time.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, thank you. It's it's Nona. It's not the video
at this table, it's Nona to have you.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
We've been he's been on the sit down. Yeah, but
that this is better.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
The producers are trying to produce. How dare they?
Speaker 3 (02:08):
How is recovery going after your injury?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, it's good, it's good.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
It's been eight months since I had the surgery or
since I hit a ball, probably the longest I've never
touched a racket for but went back on court sort
of ended last week and starting to train up again
real lightly but kind of better than I expected so
far as a pretty pretty full on surgery. So happy
to happy to get back on court. And I was
getting the HL was over in Europe and yeah, the
last few weeks I was like, I'm ready to get
(02:33):
back and get into it.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
That's awesome.
Speaker 6 (02:34):
And you probably don't know yet, but I'm going to
ask it anyway because people want to know. When do
you think you will be back in tournaments.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
It's a big question because I can there's things that
I can do sort of one hundred percent. I think
relatively soon, but I think the hard bit is going
to be serving and sort of playing those practice matches
and that's going to be the tough part. And if
that goes well, I'm hoping January, but fingers crossed, I'd
love to return in Adelais.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Bill. See how we.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Know media, you heard it here first on the tennis.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Make sure your credit the tennis. That's the goal. Yeah,
we really hope that happens for you, absolutely, and Australia
is behind you. Yeah, I mean, I love it.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Kids.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Thank you for reminding me because you did mention before
we got onto the air that when you realize who
was next to you, Steve, our bull Kids supervisor, can
you remind us what what you little tale there was.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
This is nothing against the ball kids. The bull kids
are lovely. Yeah. Almost. I got attempted to get kicked
off a court by some bulkid trials.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
Just they weren't using the whole court. It was half
a court and there was a court free. But the
coach really wanted the court that I was on for
some reason. So yeah, apparently the balls rolled differently on
certain court.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Who won that court off?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
I got there in the end because you just started
banging balls at bolkids.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
Yeah, well the net that they wanted me to go
and had a broken nets. I was like, this is
probably more important if I can just stay on this.
But the bal kids were lovely. There's nothing to it.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Might be the next docos now Sie versus yeah four hundred. Yeah,
they're small, but they're fusty.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
That's off to them because I remember they hung around
when I played that match with Andy four a m. Yes,
brutal and I can't imagine they would have had too
much caffeine at that age.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
So just running on snakes.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Kept us going, that's for sure.
Speaker 6 (04:29):
I remember being side of court for that match just
being like, how are we still going?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Made a great mistake. I didn't so much. It takes
some notes.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
I've taken notes. I'll be reporting back to the team
most importantly.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
But bkids were great. Ninety percent of the coaches are great.
One I wasn't sure.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Listening to their gang ship. That was med for next time.
We'll make it up for you and general. I promise
we'll get your red cap. The practice caught every time
that kids. Yeah, yeah. To start sort of all right.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Well we're going to kick off today's show with a
little crossover to our friends Duncan and Candy. They're on
site in New York for the US Open, for the
final Grand Slam of twenty twenty five. Here they are
reporting to us from Fanwek, Flushing Meadows.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
What are they talking about? No idea.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yeah, well, through the magic of recording, they haven't actually
recorded this year, so they could be not even there.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
But if you've heard it at home, know that everything
worked out. Well.
Speaker 7 (05:26):
Yeah, coming to you from a very cold and wet
New York City, we have just witnessed the mixed doubles Championship. Candy,
what did you think? We've got the champions Sarah Rani
and Andrea Vaffas.
Speaker 8 (05:38):
Sorry, well, they are the defending champions. They are now
the retaining champions. They were the only combination that regularly
plays doubles together and they are the winners. They are
the winners of the big prize money pot A million
US dollars is going the Italians way.
Speaker 7 (05:54):
What did you love about this format and what needs
to change next year?
Speaker 8 (05:57):
Well, I absolutely loved it. I liked it because of
all the big names playing and when you've got Yanix
Cinna obviously, unfortunately was too ill to play. You've got
Alcoraz jumping in and Jack Draper and Caspar Rude on
the singles side. Then you've got Jesse Pegoula and Egosh Fiontek,
amongst many others on the women's side. It just had
kind of all those mouth watering ingredients. Is and you
(06:19):
don't ever get to see these top singles players play
doubles anymore because they're obviously concentrating on the singles format. Now,
I was just wondering, and I don't know how you feel, Dunk,
but let's do this again forever. Two days, big prize money,
get the big stars involved. But let's then also and
maybe the second or third week of the US Open,
because it's now a three week event. Let's now then
(06:42):
also have a regular US mixed doubles competition. So then
you've got the other the double specialists who then jump
in with their players. The other thing I'd love to
see is the mixed doubles combinations coming from the same country,
So I'd love to see Pegoula playing with Fritz or Tiafo.
I'd love to see Jack Draper playing with Emeradikanu, those
(07:03):
kind of things. So that's just an idea I'd have,
but overall, I absolutely loved it fantastic.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
I want to preview the Australians because Alex Demano I
spoke to him a little bit earlier today. It's a
very relaxed and calm and casual kind of movie. What
do you make of the Aussie's him? And I've got
really like the look of my joint at the moment
as well.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
I love my joint.
Speaker 8 (07:20):
Let's talk about Alex Damanoor first. I just think he's brilliant.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I absolutely love him.
Speaker 8 (07:24):
He's a speed demon. I love to know how many
pairs of shoes he's going through a match, if his
shoe is going to last more than forty minutes or not.
We're kind of on shoe watch with Alex Daimanoor. He
just tears them apart us how fast he moves. I
think he's a maximizer. He's such a great watch. You
know that he's going to give you one hundred and
eighteen percent whatever it is. Taylor Swift number, Yeah, you
know it's an easter egg.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (07:45):
I've been watching Taylor Swift recently, as you can probably tell.
Speaker 7 (07:47):
But I just love back over.
Speaker 8 (07:49):
Yeah, Brae's a sensible woman. But he just gives you
everything all the time. I think he's obviously the best
chance for the Aussie men and Maya Joint. Actually, Chris
Marney and I are pretty close friends and he is
my Joints coach. He was at the University of Tennessee
when I was. He is married to Crystal, who I
was teammates with at the University of Tennessee on the
(08:10):
tennis team. So I've known Chris. We used to call
him mahoney, now we have to call him Marnear official.
And I met Maya Joint for the first time at Wimbledon.
I followed her career because of him, and she says
he's the best coach she's ever had. I think she
has a squash background, coming from living in the US.
I think her father was a professional squash player. She
(08:30):
just seems exquisitely good. I love the way she moves.
She sort of soares around the court effortlessly and she
has this easy power. You kind of look at her
and you think, I'm not sure if she's a tennis player,
and then you see her playing tennis and you think
she is the real deal. She I mean, her ranking
is crazy and when I saw her last year. She
(08:50):
was heading to the University of Texas. I think she
went for one term and then she decided she was
too good, which she was. She's too good. She's a
bona fide professional tennis player. I mean, I think the
rank is going to be top twenty within twelve months.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Wow, I really do.
Speaker 7 (09:04):
Yeah, yeah, Kenn you want to ask you, I'm going
to put you on the spot, your men's and women's
singles champions for the US Open twenty twenty five.
Speaker 8 (09:10):
Here, you love, You're going to find me really boring.
And I hate to be boring, but I can't look
past Sianick Sinner. If he's healthy, I hope he is.
Carla Saukraz, I mean, if we have another final, that
would be bonkers, wouldn't it. Ronan Garros is in front
of Arthur. They would love it. They would absolutely love it.
Of course they'd love a US player to get there.
(09:30):
But I can't see past either of those two. On
the women's side, I have to say the courts, I
think the balls favor sabolenka IGOs. Fiantec has obviously one
windbed and now she's won Cincinnati, so she's playing really well.
Coco GoF is brought in her by a mechanist into
Matt Daily, so one of the members of her team
is gone and somebody knew has come in, so she's
(09:51):
obviously looking good. I think those are the three candidates
really on the women's side, but I would pick Sabolenka
if I had to put money on it.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
I'm gonna put a cat amongst the pigeons here. I'm
going to pick Jack Draper Okay to win his first
Grand Namer here at the US Open. And I'm going
to pick Mirror Andreva because I said after Mira one
Indian Wells that she would with a slam this year.
Running out of a bit of time here, Candy.
Speaker 8 (10:13):
Well And I don't blame you because I actually picked
I think Mia Andrever to win Roland Garros, and then
I thought she'd get a bit closer at Wimbledon, and
she's getting there, but I don't think she's going to
win here. And I don't think Draper's going to win
here because he's been injured.
Speaker 7 (10:26):
Yeah exactly, but he said he's coming in nice and fresh.
Got to finish with that top five breeze, top five,
top five things to do here at US Open. As
a fan. But if you're coming for the very first time.
Speaker 8 (10:34):
Well, the most important is watch the tennis because it's brilliant.
We're in qualifying week, we also have the mix and
then on Sunday the main draw begins and it's just
match after match. There's so many brilliant courts out here.
And number two is going to get some autographs, go
and get some selfies. We've got to get the honey juice.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
We've got to get that.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
In number three.
Speaker 8 (10:52):
I think they made ten million US dollars from selling
honey juice.
Speaker 7 (10:55):
Did Yeah, twenty three bucks of pot my duke.
Speaker 8 (10:57):
Yeah, have you had a few today?
Speaker 7 (10:59):
Is that I've zero?
Speaker 8 (11:00):
We'll talk about that, talk about that later. Where are
we number four, Arthur Ash? I mean, it's the biggest
and arguably one of the best courts in tennis. We've
had the roof cupboard for the mixed and it's it's huge,
isn't there In twent it's not really a bad seat
in the house. I mean you can get a bit
of a nosebleed if you're right up the top.
Speaker 7 (11:19):
Like a baseball stadium at the top there.
Speaker 8 (11:20):
Yeah, yeah, it really does. And number five it's just
enjoy fan Week, which is the whole first week for
the Silence. They had a silent disco, which my daughter
has done a few times. And the line around the
Usta Billy June National Tennis Center was unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
It was so long.
Speaker 8 (11:37):
I walked past it and I kept expecting it to
end and it didn't. So I think those are five
things that you absolutely must do. But every every day
of these three weeks is going to be amazing. Let's
just hope the weather gets a little bit.
Speaker 7 (11:48):
Better type so my God, warm on, Hey, Kenny, fantastic challengy.
W'll ch out to you throughout the next three weeks.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Absolutely so thanks to Duncan and Kenny.
Speaker 6 (11:56):
That was great to hear from whatever they's on the
ground at the US Open, I believe. But let's get
into what's caught your eye. Let's start with you say, folks.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Broy So Mixed Doubles. It's a Grand Slam title that
is available at all the Grand Slams. However, the US
Open this year's kind of flipped it on its head
a little bit. It's happening before the main draw. Fans
seem to love it.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
There's some huge names who don't normally play the event
in a different format. It's a very small field. Sixteen
teams or two.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
They're playing fast four matches and they're only running about
forty minutes each the NASI. You're a Grand Slam champion
in the men's doubles. What's your take on this new look.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Of a doubles Grand Slam title mixed doubles mixed doubles.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
Look, I might cop a bit of stuff for this,
but I think there's an asterix between a mixed doubles
Grand Slam in general.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
I don't know. For me, it feels a bit weird,
like it's.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
No one trains for it, really get together and they
just kind of make it happen.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
But I think this is the man who just with
Nick was just like, hey, should we go play doubles
mixed doubles.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
Maybe that's because my record in mixed doubles is zero
and ten I don't know how to play it, so
maybe I'm bitter. That's fine, No, I think it's I
think it's good again. It feels weird to call it
a Grand Slam, but I think for the fans and everything,
it's good. Like realistically, not many people care about who
wins mixed doubles. So at least this is bringing a
lot more eyeballs getting the best players playing, which is
their whole goal. And yeah, you see the stadium, it's
(13:23):
it's packed first week. You get the best players no
other time unless it's maybe the hotm and Cup in
the past, where you'd get such good players kind of
playing and mixing singles players especially. So yeah, I think
I think what they've tried to do is great. Again,
it's weird calling it a Grand Slam because you're playing
fast forwards, Like can you really say you wont a
Grand Slam when you're playing and you've won four two,
four to two, So that to me is a bit weird.
But I think what they're trying to do for the
(13:44):
crowded and interaction.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Is really good.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Great, and the prize money would still be pretty good,
right million bucks?
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Is it nothing for everyone else? But then if you win,
you split a million, as you split five hundred or
you split a million.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
That sorry, a great.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Great questions question, Yeah, because I know I just saw
a million bucks, so I assume that was for the winner.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
If you can win four fast forwards for yeeah, five
hundred thousand US. That's like almost making fun.
Speaker 6 (14:14):
Yeah, and it's not going to be too hard on
your body, right, because it's not as long as a
normal match.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
Yeah, along, and you're not playing while you're trying to
play singles during practice it is, Yeah, been practicing in
between them.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
They're just a fun some crowd get used to the
pressures and potentially quite lucrative practice. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
But some of the other players, so Italian players, Sarah Rani,
she described the new format as disrespectful to double specialists.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
So, yeah, I was chatting about this with a friend
that's over there at the moment, and we were just
talking about there's obviously some double specialists who rely on
the income from doing the mixed doubles and the doubles,
and so taking away those spots to put in your
top ten men's and women's players, Yeah, there's a little
bit of a shame for some of those players. Potentially
they're obviously trying to They only get four chances a
(15:03):
year at Grand Slams, and to take away one a
quarter of that away is a big hit probably for
some of them. So yeah, it would be maybe a
tough pill to swallow if that became a trend for
other Grand Slams and they don't get the chance.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Throughout the year. So that's the other side of the coin.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
But yeah, I totally think, yeah, I agree with you
in so many ways that the mixed doubles becomes a
bit of an afterthoughtful a lot of fans, particularly at
the Grand Slams, it sort of gets shoved into the
back end of the schedule and not many people usually
hang around for as matches, which is a shame because
they're great fun to watch.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
Yeah, no, it is fun to watch and it is exciting,
but a lot of the times that people no one's
really heard of, and yeah, you know, there's not as
much money at staying. I think if you lose first
round of Ozie, I don't know, it's probably a couple
couple of fourers. But again, this could be a little
bit harsh, but the reality is most of the time
people that are playing doubles and only doubles tried in
singles and weren't able to kind of progress at the.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Level detail Todd would reach that often.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
He was a good singles player, so he was different.
He was a very good singles player as well, so
it's different but he's the check clear.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Did he tell you to say that he was?
Speaker 2 (16:15):
It's true.
Speaker 5 (16:16):
The facts are the facts. But it's guys that or
girls that probably either couldn't make it on the singles
circuit because it is hard and there are such limited spots,
or two were good singles players and now are getting
older and again can't play singles anymore because their bodies
won't let them. So they're like, I can still make
a good income just playing doubles and covering half a court.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
And they're just the facts. No one when they pick
up a racket when they're younger, says I want to
be the best doubles player in the world. No, that
just doesn't happen.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
That's true that they realized sort of as their career
goes on, this is not a bad way to make money.
And I don't have to train every day unbelievably well,
I don't have to focus on my diet unbelievably well.
And yeah, you can still make a good amount of money.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
That was good. Good take, scolded online, But no.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
That's but we'll make sure anything contentious you say is
definitely in the primo.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
And if people disagree, they can come at me but
they're wrong. Well it will stick with you. What caught
your eye this week out of since he since, Yeah,
a couple of things.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
Obviously that big run from Terrence at Man, talented Lefty
running through making to the to the semis and losing
to the best player in the world. It's yeah, he's
always been a very good player, very erratic and a
little bit crazy sometimes in the head. That was his thing.
He always had to try and control his emotions. But yeah,
very good game Lefty, great fourhand, moves well and plays
(17:36):
with good energy. So yeah, I think he's going to
keep going from strength to strength if he keeps his
mental aspect there. And one thing I do this is
on a little bit of different topic. They need to
change the camera angle because during the day you cannot
see the ball.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I don't know if last night with the color of
the court, Yeah, it's like your angle.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
It's like you're playing and you're throwing the ball into
the sun. So when you play, there's always one side
that's a little to see the ball. It's like you're
constantly got glare, so you can barely see the ball.
So I don't know why they just don't change your
camera to the outside, but yeah, a lot of them.
The tournament looks great. They've redone everything. It looks it
looks really good. I think it always used to be
the Masters.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Everyone's uh yeah, like it's before a slam. It's a
bit old, but now it looks really fresh. It looks
it looks a bit aish last week. But yeah, what
about Cinner.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
Yeah, it's it's interesting. I don't think this will affect
him too much. It's obviously disappointing to go out like
that in the final. Or Zverev was struggling as well
with illness as well. It's so hot there. That North
American Swing, I think is the toughest place to play.
It would it be, Well, it's it's usually around sort
of mid thirties, but it's super humid. Yeah, And for
me when I was on tour, it's always like Washington,
(18:45):
Cincy and New York the places that are the hardest
to play. I mean, Australia gets hot, but it's a
little bit drier heat unless yeah, it is, unless you
go Brisbane. Brisban's obviously human, but yeah, for me, the
North American Swing like takes takes the gas out of
you for some reason.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yeah, a lot more so.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
But yeah, I think obviously Carlos got the dream drawer
in the Semis and Final to kind of breeze through that.
But yeah, I think Sinner will recharge and he'll be
back to one hundred percent hopefully for I'd say he's
still the favorite for US Open if he's healthy.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Yeah, I mean, I'm putting my little conspiracy had on here.
Two of Carlos's opponents mysteriously go out, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
I reckon it's someone that poisoned.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Have this four day old yoga that I left. It
goes great before a match, It'll keep your rolling. Not
fair enough, I.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Need some of those yoga.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Said I might win a couple of big titles.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
So, having faced both, who do you think is better?
Who's going to win the most?
Speaker 5 (19:44):
It's it's so tough to say, because I think both
at their top, top level. I think Carlos probably has
the edge. He has a little bit more variety, a
little bit more firepower. But there's absolutely I think Carlos's
only weakness is when he gets bored on court and
he gets a bit of radic and he tries to
win point. It's in so many different ways that he
gets a little bit impatient, and he always wants to
put on a show for the crowd. I think Sinner
(20:06):
is obviously incredible player, but he's a little bit more
mentally sort of stable, and you know what you're going
to get from him sort of day in day out.
He's not going to try as many crazy shots. He's
not really playing to impress the crowd as much. He's
just playing to try and win. And there's absolutely no
weaknesses in Yannick's game.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
He moves so well on both sides.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
I've never seen someone sort of defend out of his
backhand side like he does. He slides on hard courts
like it's nothing, and yeah, I mean, incredible player. I
think it's tough because Carlos's top level is better, but
Yannick I feel like mentally is going to be a
bit more stable for and have probably less surprising shock defeats.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
Yeah that makes sense, I mean, because we constantly hear
and talk about the mental game of tennis, and it's
so vital that even if you are cal Sargraz, if
you're too fiery or to borrow fras, get bored easily.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Yeah, that can hinder, especially when you're against a mental
jugnall that is sinner. That he's just so cool, calm
collected is sort of dramatic Italian. Yeah, to create a
new term Jermanic Italian.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
I think it does.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
There's so much tennis where Carls is going to need
to be smart and peak for the bigger events.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
They both do.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
But I just think he's going to have a few
more dips in concentration than Doesick.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Looks like he doesn't get phase. You can't really tell
if he's winning.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Still the time, isn't he?
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Yeah, Steven, when you're watching events like Sincy, you're watching
the tennis, so you're checking out the ball kids and going, oh,
maybe we should recruit some of these guys.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
There's always a second eye on the ball kids. So
I'm not gonna lie, but I love watching the tennis
so fair enough. I very much get into points when
they're being played, and the bull kids went in between
points special.
Speaker 6 (21:37):
We have the world's best ball kids. I don't know
what you think, but watching them at Roland Garross, I.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Had a pretty tough running with some of them. But yeah,
these haven't haven't been trained. Bull kids are great. You
know what you were open their bond Manati. I just
keep saying, Cranmer from sign.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
I saw this one guy. I didn't think he realized
the strength that he had. He tried to throw the
ball at the other side and he threw it away
over the He had so much strength. I was like, mate,
you are waiting over he put one through the back.
Their are very good. I think everything, to be honest,
like every tournament's great. I think ours are probably the youngest,
which is good because as a as a junior and
(22:18):
young kid like you get those opportunities to watch the
best players in the world. Is such a great starting
point because you know, a lot of times I can
motivate you to want to play and yeah, and play
these events. But yeah, they go through the famous warm
ups in Roland. When you get to the earlier you
see them warming up. Yeah, Wimbledon they have I feel
like they might be a little bit older as well, slightly.
Speaker 6 (22:39):
Yeah, And it's from the private school feeder, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
From local schools in the area the area we're talking about.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yes, we're not that's fair. Let's stick with you.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Let's have a look over at the women's game. Yes,
what's going on with eager well.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
I've actually got two people, which is obviously the Sincey
final with IgA and Paulini. IgA came out on top
there with seven five six four, and I wanted to
kind of talk about them because they're very different people, right, So,
like gigas really determined, focused, power, intensitive. Palini's likede happy.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Sometimes she's not.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
She doesn't look happy. We love her, but she doesn't
look happy. She doesn't.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
It's because those giant headphones they're hurting her neck.
Speaker 6 (23:31):
So, you know, Eager before Wimbledon hadn't made the finals
for twelve months, so that was she dropped to world
number eight. She's back in world number two. But then
you see look at Paulini. She's you know, she beat
her go golf in the quarter final at Cincy. She's
kind of always consistently there, maybe not always winning, but
she's kind of she's probably looking more.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Consistent than what Eger is at the moment.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
Like IGA's like good down, good down over the past
twelve months.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
But IgA has just recently changed up her team.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
So we're going to cut to a clip which he
actually thanks them after the match, and I think that
that's probably helping her game at the moment.
Speaker 9 (24:10):
I want to thank my team. I don't know why
I want tournaments that were like the last ones in
terms of what I thought the probability is gonna be
in terms of me playing well. So thank you for
you know, forcing me to become better player and learning
how to play. You know this faster surfaces, I'm I
(24:32):
don't know, shocked, and I'm super happy and thank you
for the classtant support.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
It's not as far as that.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Did some of my name Patrick was making it and
then kind of ended that anyway.
Speaker 6 (24:54):
So she talked about being better on faster courts, and
obviously Cincinnati's quite fast, isn't it I've been hearing. Yeah yeah,
so and we know that she hasn't had good track
record on courts.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Yeah yeah, full stop.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
So it's kind of like, what's going to happen with
between the two of them. What could it look like
for them coming up to the US Openers.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Well, I mean it's just interesting, like the opposites, the
complete opposite, all Fanati, I'll put it to you. Do
you find it better to be really locked in, like
eager or kind of smiling and a bit carefree.
Speaker 5 (25:27):
Ah, I'm pretty bad with that to be honest, my
focus isn't It's probably my biggest weakness.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
I struggle.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
I think I played better when I'm a bit locked in,
but also can relax as well.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
It's hard. I would never be anyone like Ego as
far as like focus go.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
There's a lot of players. Felix is very serious on court,
Yannick as well. It's for me. I find that tough.
I like to engage a little bit with the crowd.
But that's just my personality. But I think, yeah, maybe
I'd be better if I had a bit more eager
in me.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
I actually think the perfect ingredient is a bit of both.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Yeah, be a locked in, happy, go lucky person. Yeah, easy,
just do that exactly. Carlos Carlos balance is pretty well.
But yeah, when he's not born, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
Losers though, you feel that as a spectator, like he
has that energy that you want to watch and he's
super exciting and he always looks like he's having a
good time enjoying, and I think that's the most important
thing and that's what makes people want to watch.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Yeah, but it must be a bit addictive as a
player when you're when you are locked in at the start,
but you do some amazing stuff, the crowd gets behind you.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Do you want to keep fowing them? You want to
keep going bigger and bigger, Like, how do you get
over that? Or do you not know?
Speaker 5 (26:32):
You do?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
And then you get too confident and a bit arrogant,
and then it goes backfires on you and yourself down
a centain of break. So you're like, I shouldn't have
tried that exactly. Yeah, you see someone watching in the crowd,
you want to impress him. Doesn't go so well now
looking losing not very good?
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yes, did you any ball kid action or what caught
your eyes? Something tennis related?
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Yes? So at Marn the guy, the Frenchman who's risen
through the ranking as the Nazi was talking about earlier.
It went from one hundred and thirty six to sixty nine,
so sixty seven ranking points climbed. It's a big jump
in the rankings.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
It's huge, huge, But the Nazi already spoke about how
amazing he was. But did you see that he gave
in a Pokemon card I did in the corridor the
first Yes, for his birthday. So he's a big Pokemon
fan that he's clipped the cards forever and.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
That sinner's not a Pokemon fan.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Well it look like a.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
It was so sweet that he's and.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Goes, you know, I'm sponsored by Gucci, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
He hugged him for it. So yeah, but I'd argue
maybe Pokemon is bigger than Gucci. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Wow, maybe hot take from Steve maybe just saying it
probably followers the car back in his pocket.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
He just sees it in the by the court, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
And then breaks down into you. But he did, like
so he pushed in into a tie breaker.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Yeah, he had an amazing run. He beat Fritz.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
He beat Run as well in that in that run.
But unfortunately he's come down with the foot injury. So
he's not playing US Open. But I'd say he's one
to watch probably for next year. You might see him
back at the AO in January. It should be great
because he's he's so exciting to watch. I did watch
some of this match. He's twenty three, I believe. Yeah,
(28:27):
so he's very young and you faced him.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
I have. I lost to him in qualifying.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
I was actually going through Hopefully this doesn't but I
was actually going to find my coach before that at
the time, and I was playing.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Him in another promo. I just remember while I.
Speaker 5 (28:43):
Was playing and I was just like, yeah, my coach
was saying stuff and I was like, I'm not listening.
I was on a trial period. I'd missed a servant.
He'd say something. I'm like, you're fired after So I
was not doing a great heads face. But he's a
good player, That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Did you fire that coach? He was done up? Yeah,
this is the best one. He was done.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
He was telling me stuff and I wasn't agreeing, and
i'd play a point. I'd look at him, that's not
what was happening, but yeah, we're done.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Sometimes you got to make those decisions.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
It's weird when you've made it, yeah, because you almost
don't want to win, because then.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Yeah, I need to fire you. I did win that
you were ship for a bit exactly.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
So I was just like having a coach like dating,
like it's kind of.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
Just wipe right on coach. It's a tricky one. It
is because I had a coach, Todd since my first
ever coach. I had him since I was sort of seven.
And then you you find people sort of interviews, sit
down with you and your agent and a lot of
times they can say the right things, but then when
you actually go on court with them, then don't really agree.
(29:47):
There's things so I'm like, huh, I don't think you're
right on that. And then it's tricky, like as a player,
you want to listen to the coach, but you also
going to be able to have a conversation.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
They got to hear where you're coming from because they're
saying one thing, but you have literally a different angle
and you're experiencing it.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
And I'm not saying all the best coaches were players,
but sometimes you want to kind of know that they've
been in that situation and they kind of have a
bit more behind it.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Yeah, that's going to attract my offer.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Then to coach, We're going to do like a three coach.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Yeah, I was gonna be going, do you want to
mid strength through four strength?
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Beer Court played better on it, Yeah, exactly. All right,
Well that was very good, Thank you very much, Steve.
We're gonna have a quick little break, a bit of
a breather. I'm going to go get those beers that
I promised the NASI. We'll be back in a second
with our US Open Fantasy Draft. Welcome back, everybody here
(30:41):
with the tennis. We've got Stevie King of the ball kids,
and the Nasti King of the Court.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
And Brie.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Queen of Newcastle.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
That's an official title. It's pretty exciting. So it's time
for our fantasy draft. We're heading into another Grand Slam here,
the US Open over and flashing meadows. For those who
have missed our previous Grand Slam Draft show, I'll explain
the concept again. Essentially, we've got three captains here. We've
got the Nasi, Brie and Stevie. Each captain is going
to take turns selecting a player they believe will go
deep in the singles main draw of the US Open.
(31:13):
Each team will end up with four players on it,
two women, two men. The winning team will be the
one that collectively wins the most main draw matches between
all four of their players, with some extra weight given
to finalists and champions. So think ahead, but think smart.
I am the league commissioner and I love saying that.
It gives me all the power with none of the risk.
So I won't be picking a team. Instead, I'll be
(31:33):
directing the draft of selections. And this time we've handed
the first pick two the reigning three. Yeah, she's our
reigning champion from Wimbledon.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
My first pick is I'm ready to go sinner.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Wow, I mean safe bet.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
But he said he thinks he's going to win. I
was like, well, I'm going to steal. That is about
tactics more than anything, theft and theft every.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Time he enters. I would give him the slightest edge. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Absolutely, So I've got a I've got a hot take.
I reckon, I know who you're going to pick because
you're up next to now.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Leave me the Bernie picture. Pretty sure.
Speaker 6 (32:22):
He's trending on Google. I was looking at Google trends
for tennis yesterday. Bernie Tomic is trending in Australia because.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Everyone's still alive.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Question mark, I'm backing on a run for a little bird.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
I don't know. It depends.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
So you can play a good match and then he'll
just pull out, so we'll see. I actually respect him
a lot for grinding and he's he's played so many
challenges over the last years, plenty at.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Court time's definitely he's doing well and he's played tennis.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Yeah, exactly, he's keeping him keeping him busy. All right. Sorry,
I'm commissioned. I need to keep comission that was good anymore.
Keep him coming, Stevie, who's a pick? So I'm going
to go with the demon. He's going to text her show. Yeah,
(33:14):
coming off that win in Washington, d C. Think you know,
and he's deep.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
He want him to win.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Yeah, it'd be amazing.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
And he's had a couple of weeks off because he
left he went out of since he a little early,
so he's had some.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
A little rest time, some time to recalibrate fresh. He's fresh.
I feel like he's fresh, ready to go a good draw.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
You can get through the first couple of rounds relatively
seen lessening go from there.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
All right, fingers chriss, Stevee. We're going to stay with
you for our second round. Pick perfect.
Speaker 4 (33:39):
You know who I'm going to go with is one
mister Taylor Fritz. So he had great form at Wimbledon,
and even though he dropped out of since he in
the round of sixteen, he's got the hometown behind, big show,
big American stage. I think he's ready to go deep
again as he did at Wimbledon. So most of his
fans are just there to hang out with Morgan anyway.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, I mean Bram Okay, very good.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
You know there's a whole other half of the drawer
on the women's side. Nasi, you're up next to you're
going to pick.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
I did not know that, but thank you.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
This is completely on my strategy, just letting them go.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
I'm going to go to Sallenka, this smart player? Am
I trying to win? Because that's a boring pick.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
You know what. I'm going to go out of the
blue and go Victoria and Boco Victoria Boco. That should
be double points if she makes a deep run. She's young,
every every win she has just wants to rules.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Okay, I'm just going to add it in the points
mean nothing in the prices. So what just here for
have good time? That's do we have her pick?
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Just one Toronto god? All right, well we're going to
assume she's up there. Okay, Incoco and all right bre
over to you. I'm going to Slenka is still available?
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Do you know what?
Speaker 3 (34:58):
I thought that was boring too, and I I'm going
to go with the driver.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
This is bold and stupid because every yeah, so bold
and stupid.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah will be today in half an hour.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Okay, all right, now, we're sticking with you. Who's next?
She was going to be there so early. Okay, there
we go. Yeah, anything can happen, anything can happen.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Okay, so you're good, You're good. Okay, Nasi, who's your
third round pick at all?
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Okay? Good?
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Good, A little bit fair enough, Stevie, I'm going to
go my main girl, Coco another home turf advantage. Yes, absolutely,
it was that big former champion.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
She's done great this year.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Legendary.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
One of our coaches apparently that's the secret secret mid
match mid match.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
Serve doctor.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
Sableca had them right.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Yeah, yeah, he had that guy. So, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (36:14):
It's it's weird when someone comes in and tries to
change a little bit of technique mid tournament that can
give the player of the yips a little bit. I
don't mind the idea, but to do it mid tournament,
it's going to be tricky. But we'll see, we'll see
how it goes for.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Right, Stevie, oh a, get another one? Yeah straight away.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
I am going to go slight outsider at the moment,
but has been very good early in the year. Madison Keys, Yes.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
He really just like well to America pick Americans I have,
but he's got a bit of an American twang.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
Now, you know the Americans in the he really does.
They're very confident. They're a confident bunch. They love performing
in front of their own fans. So you know what,
that's maybe why I have Leana be I think it's smart. Yeah, yeah,
lean into that, all right, final one from you, FANASI
probably not favorite at all, but I don't know.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
I feel like if it could be the Stephen.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Bradbury effect for those not understanding, Basically, Ossie speed skater,
everyone fell over, took home the gold.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Who's this and our caras lose? Somehow? If they get
sick with someone's poisoning both of them, they have a
bad Chapotle.
Speaker 5 (37:32):
Fritz, he's Chapotle's got a Spino gets poisoned by it.
It doesn't plays Verev, I think somehow.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
But I forgot he wasn't.
Speaker 5 (37:47):
I feel like he's got to go to the business
and he's too solid not to, and then we'll see
if he's back from the illness.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
I feel like he's too good to never win a Slam,
So sometime it's going to happen, and now yeah, tucking in.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
There, all right, Alexander, and that's you. You've got your
four and Boco is not pictured, but she is there.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
Our final one does need to be a man who's
left and who you're going to take Bree.
Speaker 6 (38:13):
I'm now confused because I was playing between Draper and
then I remember Djokovic as well. I think I'm going
to go Draper, even though he's in place.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
We're going to get so many emails about people saying,
why didn't you pick the goat?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
So sorry folks, Well no, but.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
There he hasn't played any well, neither.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Has Draper, but like he hasn't played since Wimbledon, but nor.
Speaker 6 (38:39):
Has Draper because of the injury. Sorry to our listeners.
I think Djokovic is great, you can have might go deep.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
But yeah, some people would have said Shelton, Yeah, I
did think about Ben.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
I don't know. I think he's his top level is
very good. But there's also a chance for someone consistent
that he could he could bow out to them.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
But yeah, all right, Well we're locked in for our
US Open Fantasy draft team Bree Sinner, Andreva Sablenca and Draper.
Team Kock we've got embocos Verev, Schwantek and Alcoraz and
team Stevie demonor Fritz Goff and the jingle jangle of
the keys going in the lock.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Yeah, let us know at home who's in yours fantasy draft.
Now we mentioned earlier Stevie you're a movie star. Basically,
that's what I was saying. You're starring in an upcoming
doco that is all about the Aoball kids. Yes, and
we've actually got a little teaser out of the trailer.
Let's have a listen.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
Yeah, we're good. Enjoy enjoy, enjoy, joy and joy, enjoy
and enjoying. And there are.
Speaker 6 (39:41):
Fourteen thousand people in the stand, ten million people watching,
and then broadcast to another two hundred countries.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Yeah, that is quite a bit of pressure.
Speaker 10 (39:52):
The Australian Open Ball Kids are the stoic, unsung here
of this Grand Slam Tennis tournament.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
For every one of you sitting here today, six kids
have missed out.
Speaker 11 (40:07):
The best ball kids can always perform their best no
matter the situation.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
They're always switched on.
Speaker 10 (40:13):
From a field of more than three thousand applicants, four
hundred and twenty are chosen.
Speaker 11 (40:18):
Nothing will Phillippropee for all the pressure.
Speaker 10 (40:21):
When the players, it turns I can't stop up here,
can go down here very quickly.
Speaker 6 (40:26):
Our program really strives to have the best quality ball
kids in the world.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
Rookies first AO experience. It's like a really friendly slap
in the face. You might not make it next year,
so like you really got to pull onto this opportunity.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
They're all giving their best to get top gun.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
Well, of course they are all top gun, but there's
only two positions.
Speaker 9 (40:49):
Though.
Speaker 6 (40:51):
You know you're getting greatered against your friend, but now
they're your competitor.
Speaker 11 (40:56):
Being on call with all the best players in the
world and the best school kids as well.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
This is what I've been dreaming of ever since I
was seven years old.
Speaker 10 (41:10):
This is the ball Kids stage. The best tennis players
in the world just happened to be on it.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
Stevie. That looks legit dramatic, Yeah, lots of There's a
lot of drama in the Ball Kids Department's thing. People
at home they just go, oh cool, they're there to
catch a ball and they just pass it back and forth.
Then they roll it, ll it so you write your right.
There's a lot of rolling, a lot of rolling. I
feel like you are a failed ball kid. Like you
try out once I didn't get.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
In mate, I couldn't know. You have to be put
up by your coach for that. My coach was like,
just stay there and try and hear try.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
Now that's Brilli. So like, was it hard working with
the film crewis and things or was it just you
were focused on the job.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
I mean, we went about our job as we usually do,
but we had, yeah, a few film crews following us around,
following kids around in some of those tiny corridors. As
we all know, a room dungeon is a bit of
a dungeon. So yeah, there was a lot of a
lot of things happening on the production side. But it
was really exciting and the kids have done an amazing
job in part in doing their interviews and being on
(42:22):
camera and still performing their role to the top of
their ability and still with all the pressure, the added
pressure not only the crowd and the players, but also
these film crews following them around everywhere.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
I think they loved it. Yeah, yeah, go ahead. Are
they allowed to breath the towers back? I am not sure.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
There was a little bit of discussion about that last
year and I think it was put on hold for
a bit, but like coming, I like when you can,
maybe we could put in a personal request just for
when you're playing together.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
I think a few.
Speaker 5 (42:55):
I think most of the players would love to have
it because it's sometimes especially on these bigger courts.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Yeah, there's a lot of point.
Speaker 5 (43:00):
If you finish the point at net they call the
next score, you want to go get your tower. And
these you're playing during the day and it's super hot,
You've got to walk all the way the way back.
Sometimes there's been times where I'm like, I need the tower,
but it's way too far. Stuff, I'll get a time violation. Yeah, yeah,
ball sweat, tennis sweat.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
Okay. Yes.
Speaker 4 (43:22):
So it's coming out in the cinemas in Victoria on
the twentieth of September, so very much looking forward to

Speaker 4 (43:52):
I think on YouTube. Maybe it'll be a rental and
watch it at the movies during the school holidays systems
school holidays. It's the best time see it on the
big screen because you get all those fantas plastic ao
shots and it just really yeah, makes you feel like
you're there and absolutely a great little taste of January
in September.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
Narrated by one of the funniest women in Austras not
the world, Celia Piccola, having been paying attention fame and
Utopia and a few other things.

you him. We don't need to hear of the cinema.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
There's a session at.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
The first nap all right, thank you very much. Well,
it's that time of the show. The Nasi's got a
court book, so he's got to get the hell out
of here. Let's do a quick whizz around on our
ace of the week. Something that doesn't have to be
tennis related. I prefer it not to be, to be honest.
That has brought you some joy the NASI. What's your
race of the week?
Speaker 2 (44:53):
Oh God Jesus, a big one getting back on court. Yeah,
I feel good. Sorry said not tennis for I think
it's a lot one dimension tennis player and I know
nothing else it is. I got back in my car,
which is fine. I haven't driven for a while. I
haven't been able to shoulder, so yeah, I like my
car and it's fun, so I don't around nice. What
(45:14):
do you drive an r V tech? Yeah, you're doing.
Give you a good pride jump on Facebook market Place.
Thank you, I'll give you. I'll give you a free
old sign a panel. Yeah, very good, right, Stevie, what's
your race of the week? New car purchase? No, but no,
I probably need to do that soon. Mine's falling to pieces,
(45:35):
so yeah, no.
Speaker 4 (45:36):
Mine is the return of Survivor and I'm a big
Survivor fan, and the Australian versus the World. It's like
my two favorite shows coming together, the US Survivor and
these trains. It's just like magic on the screen. I'm
obsessed and I've actually I've run a Fantasy Survivor competition,
so very much into the Fantasy Tennis as well. But yeah,
(45:57):
so that isaking up in the background.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
You can use the Ball Kids doco as your show
reel to apply to be on Survivors. True, I could
have every Well, look how good I am on camera.
I can control these ball Kids with the flick of arrest.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
I don't know if I want to go fifty days
without food. Yeah, now, fair enough. I like to eat,
so like doing a pool in the ocean, and we've
all been there those kinds of problems. I call it
an aquad dump. I'm equally into Survivor. It's it's good,
it's great. It's just great to fail Jonathan Napalia but
an Yeah, I haven't seen Survivord about fifteen years.
Speaker 4 (46:31):
But that's why it's so good at the moment, because
they brought back the players from fifteen years ago from
the US one, so you're straight back in again.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
They've got fresh hips, new knees, ready to go. Exactly
all right, Brianna, what's your ace of the week. I'm
very sorry for full naming you in trouble.
Speaker 3 (46:47):
I actually hate Brianna.
Speaker 6 (46:49):
I am going to play golf on Saturday, so over
the AO and one of the PGA Tours. At the
end of last year, we swopped resources some of my
team and went and worked at the PGA events, and
then some of their team came and worked over with us,
so it was like a sharing of sports people and
they loved it anyway. Josh, who heads up marketing at
(47:13):
Golf Australia, was like, hey, do you want to come
hit some balls with us and we'll give you some lessons.
Speaker 3 (47:19):
So I'm doing that on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
That's awesome. I need lessons I actually.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
Need When it Saturday at like eleven or something or twelve.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
I've got to see if my arm works. But I
actually do break the cock it's already broken.
Speaker 5 (47:35):
Everyone everyone that plays tennis transitions to golf when they're
done or about to finish.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
So I feel like, yeah, I need some technical lessons.
Yeah I do need something because I.
Speaker 1 (47:45):
Thought, like, you all play tennis pretty much golf pretty
much like Poppy when he's over.
Speaker 3 (47:49):
In golf Mini golf this year.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
Yeah, it's like the players this tennis is the way
they actually like the like Indian World's nothing tennis.
Speaker 3 (48:02):

Speaker 1 (48:16):

be elite. It's one of the oddly.
Speaker 6 (48:37):

quite my center you really bad.
Speaker 2 (48:41):

have a strong core. It's just volumes, sturdy, sturdy.
Speaker 1 (48:55):

because it snows at our house.
Speaker 2 (48:59):

be interesting. Are they doing lessons or are you doing
their lessons? Hell? No, booked in for full days.
Speaker 3 (49:08):

can do that. Yeah, there you go. And the spa.

dislocate everywhere.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
You do. Tend to fall down a lot.
Speaker 3 (49:43):
