(01:44):
Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
It's a story you need to hear to believe.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Then grab your popcorn because there is more idis There's
a bunch today, and I wanted to start with this,
this conversation about Trump where he's saying that he wants
to meet with Vladimir Putin. I don't know what he
thinks that meaning is going to bring, but I knowing

(02:12):
Trump as we do, it would make sense that he
wants to look a guy in the eye. So Trump
is floating this meeting, saying there's a good chance he
would meet with Putin about the war in Ukraine to
put an end to it. And some people are now
getting to the place of, well, Trump, might you know,
give up the ghost on Ukraine and be like, uh, sorry,
too bad for you, because.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Putin is being obstinate.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I don't see that as the as the case in
the slightest I don't think that that's reality.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
The question is where would this meeting take place? Now.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
I don't normally go to John Bolton, nor do I
go to CNN, but I thought he made a solid
point worthy of discussion.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I know, shocking, but true. It happens when he said.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
This, can't think of anything better from his point of
view than to host Trump at the Kremlin, more logical
place from the US perspective to do it would be
one of the traditional meeting cities, Geneva or Vienna. It's
the logistics are difficult but not impossible, and Trump obviously

(03:20):
wants the meeting, so it'll be very interesting to see
what the arrangements are. But I think Putin will see
it as an opportunity. I think he knows he's deliberately
or inadvertently pushed Trump a little too far, and he'll
have some ideas about how to bring things back in
his direction.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
What do you make.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Of what I was told today that it was actually
Putin who suggested this meeting with Trump when he was
meeting with Steve Wikoff. Sure, absolutely, Look is, Russia is
heavily sanctioned by the West as a whole. This is
legitimizing Putin in a way. He hasn't seen anything like
it since the February twenty four, twenty two invasion of Ukraine.

(04:02):
That's why Moscow for him would be the ideal place.
And he's watched how Trump dealt with Kim Jong On
in three meetings in Trump's first term meetings which produced
nothing ultimately, But he sees this as a real opportunity.
He does believe Putin does believe. I think that he
can still work his KGB training on Trump, knowing as

(04:26):
I say that, one way or another, deliberately or not,
he's pushed Trump a little bit beyond the envelope, and
he's going to try and rectify that and also play
a larger game with the sanctions against India, for purchasing
Russian oils, the China question up in the air. There
may be an opportunity here for Putin to advance his
agenda on a number of fronts.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Now, that's Bolton going I think way too far in
the conversation.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Let's take a step back.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Putin does believe that he could still work his KGB
training on Trump ten thousand percent accurate because it is
Bolton engaged in at least the proper assessment of what
it is Vladimir Putin is. And a lot of people
don't do this. Vladimir Putin is a trained KGB agent

(05:19):
who takes it personally.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
That the Soviet Union.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Fell, and his entire methodology is about the rebirth, the regrowth,
the not so much with unification, although you could argue
that's why he wants all of Ukraine, or at least
the dunbas a better mother Russia for tomorrow. This is

(05:45):
his want. Everything about him is a lie, Everything about
him is a fraud, Everything about him is a conceit.
That's what the KGB agent is, that's what the training is,
every last bit of it. He absolutely believes that's true.
I was just happy to hear somebody actually say it

(06:07):
out loud, the argument of and Trump could fall for it.
So this is where the divide is because it is insulting,
beyond insulting, and gross beyond gross to think that somehow
this KGB Svengali thing is going to work on Trump

(06:33):
as well. Trump's weak or Trump's this or Trump's that.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
No, no, no, no, no, no no no.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
That's not the case. These things worked on two types
of people. One could argue, first it worked on those
who were susceptible, who were absolutely interested in what the
communists had to offer, right, that's about being supportive. Right.
Then it worked on people who had an amb ambition

(07:00):
beyond their desire. Trump's desire is a peace deal so
he can get accolades. He isn't The first part of
this isn't playing on an American part. It's playing on
a personal part. And that's okay because the second part
we be playing on an American part. You think Trump's

(07:22):
gonna put America in danger because Viti Putin's gonna be
able to pull a fast one.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
To believe that is to have believed Russia Russia Russia
from the beginning.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
That only works if Russia has more power and if
there's more pressure at play. If there's something extracted that
Trump thinks is more valuable than his own reputation at home,
how does that work? How could that possibly work? You've
already seen that the Russian military is a joke. These

(07:55):
guys can't fight. These guys don't know how to fight.
These guys don't know how to stand in a straight line.
If it wasn't for Rushi having nuclear weapons, Russia would
not exist on a map today. No chance everybody would
take that country and they'd take the oil that comes
with it. So what training is now going to somehow

(08:22):
work on Trump? Because Trump is weak. See that's the
part that is mythology. What is factual is that absolutely
Putin believes it. People would take something like this and say,
you see Trump is susceptible to.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
X, Y and Z.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
No, it's that Putin still believes that he's playing from
a position of strength and that he can utilize these
tactics to some level of advantage. Now he utilizes the
tactics when he says, oh, sure we'll talk about this
or that Donald's and he engages in bombings in Kiev
or trone attacks there on the Romanian border, as he

(09:00):
did the other day, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Absolutely, But in getting the concession that you would be
a fool.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
A lot of that was based on the idea of
the strength of Russia, the belief that Russia was gonna
go somewhere, that this thing that the Soviet Union had value,
there's no value there. You fell apart, You collapsed in
the most humiliating way ever. You lost to Reagan, you
lost to a movie actor. Now you're gonna lose to
a TV star. Gosh, that's a lot of embarrassment Vladimir.

(09:38):
But is Vladimir going to try? That's the story. It's
that he believes he can do it. He believes in
this KGB training. That's who he is to his soul.
I think it's an important understanding of what we're dealing
with in the Russian leadership.
