Speaker 2 (01:02):
The popcorn Moment, Let's go, Let's go, step it's a
story you need to.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Hear to believe.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Then grab your popcorn because there is more. It's a weird,
weird thing to say.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Laura Lumer asked a very very good question at the
Pentagon Briefing, A very good question.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Indeed, Yes, Laura, thanks so much for having me here today.
Now that the President has hearted the process of designating
the Muslim Brotherhood as a horn Islamic terrist organization, will
the Department of War still proceed with selling fifteen fighter
jets to Qatar? And how will they be able to
train Katari pilots at their airbase and Idaho if Qatar
is included in the designation.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
It's an unbelievably good question because Qatar is getting treated
with kid gloves by the administration, something I disagree with
in great measure. But then it was Lumer, who, by
the way, the one who has handcuffed herselves to the
doors when it was Twitter and has shown herself to

(02:07):
be a bit of outrageously nutty multiple times.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
But Man no quit in that woman.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
She reported that there were members of Congress and influencers
who spent their Thanksgiving in Qatar.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I said, that's odd.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
One of those people she mentioned was Congressman Marlon Stutsman
of the Indiana Third He joins us right now, Congressman,
I appreciate you taking the time to be with us.
I do want to get into the redistricting conversation as
that has passed committee in Indiana.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
But you're on record.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
You're on record about concerns with guitar return in regards
to terrorism. I absolutely believe Kaitar has been a supporter
of terrorism, and I do not like this approach from
the White House in the slightest.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
So let's start with how did you end up in
guitar for Thanksgiving?

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Well, good morning, coding. Great to be with you. You know,
a couple of things because I was over in Israel
earlier this year and had a great conversation with the
Prime Minister Benjaminett and Yahoo and we're talking obviously about
the situation in Gaza and how it relates to you know,
the hostages at that.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Time still had not been returned, and.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
I asked, you know, like what you know, what's going
on with the players in the region, And there were
a lot of questions around Qatar being one of the
countries that was in direct negotiations with Hamas, you know,
and I've learned a lot as well too, Tony that
you know, I understand in the context of well, how
did Katar and Hamas get connected? And so I went

(03:41):
back and started doing some history and you know, reading
a little bit. And you know, Obama had asked Katar
to house Hamas in Qatar, so that way they knew
where they were at and could keep an eye on them.
And then there were some negotiations between Israel and Qatar
related to Hamas and in Gaza and how it connected
to the Palace authority, and so obviously, you know, we

(04:02):
know this is a very complicated region. But the opportunity came,
they asked if I would be come over and visit.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
But I also I wanted to visit troops.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Over Thanksgiving, and so that was the main objective of
the trip, was to visit the al Udeid Air Force
Base there on the in the middle of the country
where we have a very large air force base. And
so being able to visit the troops was a real treat.
So proud of our men and women in uniform. They
serve a very important role right there in Qatar. But

(04:33):
I wanted to also hear from the Qatari ministers of
Defense and the Finance and also the Prime minister. You know,
why our why why Hamas? What's going on? And this
is something that they were very instrumental in negotiating the
release of the hostages and the peace deal.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
So you know, sometimes we can also agree.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
We can also agree that Qatar has housed the Maas
leadership with their billions of dollars while the people in
Gaza suffer at Hamas's hands. Israel engaged in the attack
on Quitar, and that has led the White House, I think,
to an improper reaction on Qatar. Is it your belief
that Hamas supports, engages, endorses the Muslim brotherhood.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
That's what we're trying to find out.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
This is you know Brian Zinki, who's former Navy seal,
Abe Hammada former Army served in the army, and Laurel
Lee was along, she's a former prosecutor. And that's what
we all are trying to understand. And you know what
I mean, We're not going to endorse Qatar. I mean,
this is a country that is really playing both sides.

(05:41):
You know, they're talking to Iran, they're talking to the Taliban,
they talked to Qatar.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Or to.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
The to Hamas of course, and Hamas is in Qatar
when Israel struck Qatar with the missile.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Strike earlier this year.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
And one of the things that they told and you know,
they were very much wanting us to understand, hey, we're
the negotiators. We're the ones that try to help bring
both sides together. That's why we have Hamas here, That's
why we talked to the Taliban. We're negotiators. That's the
role we want to play. And they kept reminding us, Hey,
you got to remember, we got hit by Iran by
a missile after the Twelve Day War. We also got

(06:19):
hit by Israel. So we understand that, you know, they're
saying they understand the role that they play. But at
the end of the day, and this is what's really important,
is that they cannot be supporting terrorism. And the other
piece that we wanted to find out is are you
funding education systems in the United States that are pushing
any sort of.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Anti Semitic message?

Speaker 5 (06:37):
And that's another really important piece that we don't want
to see funding coming from outside sources that would influence
our education system in the wrong way.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Talking to you, Thomas and Marlin Stutsman of the Third
District of Indiana. We know that Qatar has been a
massive supporter of universities, and I do believe we should
be pushing legislation to end the ability of foreign nations
to support US universe these If the university can't live
without at the university shouldn't exist, Sir. We also know
that Qatar has repeatedly been engaged with the idea, and

(07:09):
they're certainly accused of their support of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
But Lumer's question certainly is a good one.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
How do we feel about the training of Kataris in
Idaho or anyplace else on US hardware?

Speaker 5 (07:23):
Yeah, well they are again. You know, this is my
first time there. From what I understand is they they
want a relationship with the United States. And this is
what something surprised me. I didn't realize, you know, kind
of forgot about the blockade that happened back in twenty
seventeen eighteen by the Saudis, by the Egyptians and the UE.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
They put a blockade, you know, the Qatar is.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
A little thumb that sticks off the Saudi Peninsula, and
basically and then was accusing Katar of terrorism. Well, they
basically were cut off from food and other supplies, and
that was really in their seike that I could tell
that they've felt almost like, hey all, we thought all
of our friends here in the neighborhood, we were.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
All on the same team. And there's a lot of
politics in that region.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
As you know that they you can't always trust them.
You've got to watch their actions more than anything. And
that's what I've said about all these guys is that
you know, actions speak louder than words. Well, they took
it upon themselves to you know, build their own dairies,
which actually we sell America's a lot of American farmers
sell them. Hey, feed, they are buying supplies from the

(08:32):
United States. That's why the air Force base is where
it's at. So I'm trying to look at it from Okay,
they're afraid of their own neighbors in the in the area,
So now they're coming to the United States and saying, look,
we want to be partners and friends. Well, if you
want to do that, then let's make sure there's no
funding going to our education system that is doing the
wrong you know, it's sending the wrong message to our

(08:55):
kids about Israel. Let's make sure that you guys aren't
funding the Muslim brotherhood. Let's deal with Hamas. Let's get
Hamas out of there or destroyed if they're going to
continue to be a problem in the region or in Gaza.
So this is a time for them to choose which
side they're.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Going to be on.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
You know, they're helping with the situation within Gaza. Let's say, okay,
we're willing and work more like Saudi rather than Iran
in the region.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
In a one word answer, sir, because I do want
to ask about redistricting. If Qatar is giving financial support
as is alleged, I have same with Turkey to the
Muslim Brotherhood. Do you believe the United States should cut
off relationship cut off their relationship with Katar.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yes, yes, yes, I mean if they're supporting terrorism in
a Muslim brotherhood, that.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Is a that's just a deal breaker.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
I mean, that's what has to be message to them,
and that's what we message to them when we were there.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Let me get to the follow up the trip itself.
Who paid for the trip?

Speaker 5 (09:51):
So it's it's a United States based organization. It's called
the US Katari Business Council. There's a lot of business.
In fact, they were actually visiting Indiana. They you know,
as I talk to different folks, they they love Indiana.
They were there at home visiting with Governor Holcombs several
years ago.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
We uh.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
They of course are buying a lot of planes from
Boeing in Qatar. The US are the Katari airways that
they have built out. It's impressive, I'll tell you that, Tony.
They have so much money there. They're building out in
International City in Doha. They're buying, you know, I'm not
sure how many, probably a couple of hundred planes from Boeing,

(10:31):
which is a massive and you know, purchase from the
United States. They are also investing. President Trump when he
visited there, got an investment close to a trillion dollars
from them. And I think that this is what is important,
is that they have to choose are they going to
be friends with the United States or somebody else?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Sorry about that, Just a little interference from from the studio.
My apologies talking to Congressman Marlin Stutsman. Let me why
I have this one, and I apologize for that.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Just really quick.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
On redistricting, whid I've got sixty seconds it passes committee.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
You've seen the map.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Do you like the map and do you favor with
a full on vote to redistrict the state of Indiana.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
I do.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
I like the map. I like the fact that this
is a you know, we're fighting the left in California,
in Illinois, in New York. Look, Tony, these guys have
been doing the Democrats have been playing politics for years,
and we've got to understand that we need equal representation
in Washington, DC. We're out here fighting socialist Democrats. I mean,

(11:37):
look at mom Donnie in New York and his campaign
that he just won. I mean, these guys are full
on socialists. And we've got to realize in Indiana that
what we do there affects the country. I mean it
not just affects Indiana. It affects the country right now
because we're in this fight to protect the freedom and
the liberty and the constitution that we have in our

(11:58):
great country. And so I would just you know, ask
every state legislator to really understand the fight that we're in.
It's this is not just about precedents, This is not
just about the you know, the maps as they are drawn,
and that they should look a certain way on a
coloring book, they These are serious fights that we're in
and President Trump took a bullet for us. We need

(12:18):
to understand what he has been through because the left
tried to stop him and literally taking his life. And
of course you know Charlie Kirk was assassinated. The left
is unhinged and the only way we win is sticking together.
This is a team effort. This is Republicans sticking together.
Republicans stick together, we win. And we always talk about
how Democrats they always stick together and that's why they win.

(12:41):
Republicans we need to do the same thing. This is
an important time for our country.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Thomas and Marlin Stutsman at the Indiana f their district.
I appreciate you taking the time
