Melanie believes firmly that trauma can be resolved. Melanie’s life has had 3 parts: Stuck & Clueless, Trauma Recovery, and (finally), a Producing Artist. These days Melanie is a singer-songwriter, composer and Amazon Best-Selling author.
On this episode of Trauma Hiders Club, we talk trauma, neuroscience, and imagination-based healing. Melanie speaks about the differences between the male and female brain and shares personal experiences of perceiving things before they are proven, an ability to switch from the left to the right side of the brain and engaging in intuitive thinking as a child.
You’ll hear about the importance of trauma-informed treatments, such as drama therapy and alternative modalities mentioned in Bessel van der Kolk's book, "The Body Keeps the Score." The conversation touches on language, imagination, and the power of choosing the meaning we give to events.
