Isa A (59) had ruim 13.500 stuks illegaal knalvuurwerk opgeslagen in een garagebox in Enschede. Het Openbaar Ministerie vind dat onbegrijpelijk. Zeker iemand uit Enschede zou toch moeten weten wat dit voor gevolgen kan hebben, aldus het OM.
Enschede en vuurwerk ligt bij justitie overgevoelig. Zeker in de periode waarin de Vuurwerkramp van 13 mei 2000 wordt herdacht. In de nieuwste aflevering van de Tubantia Crime Podcast vertelt Erwin Waanders hoe het OM naar verdachte Isa A. kijkt en wat de strafeis is. „Hoe haal je het als Enschedeër in je hoofd om 500 kilo explosief vuurwerk in een garagebox te bewaren?”
Misdaadverslaggever Maarten Schoon zat deze week bij een regiezitting in de zaak tegen sportschoolhouder Ronald B. uit Twente. B. wordt verdacht van het witwassen van bijna 700.000 euro. De kans is klein dat de verdachte zijn gezicht laat zien tijdens de komende zittingen. „De advocaat meldde dat B. geen vertrouwen heeft in het rechtssysteem", aldus Maarten. Maar er zijn manieren om een verdachte naar de rechtbank te laten komen. Hoe dat precies zit, vertelt Maarten in de podcast.
