Na een vrouwenmoord staan de schijnwerpers vol op de dader en vaak wat minder op de vrouw die vermoord wordt. Maar er zijn nog meer slachtoffers en die zijn zelfs onzichtbaar: de kinderen. Het zijn verhalen die je niet hoort, maar die nog eens extra duidelijk maken wat de impact van femicide is.
Kinderen verliezen bij vrouwenmoord niet alleen hun moeder, maar vaak ook hun vader als die de dader is en hun thuis. Alsof dat nog niet traumatisch genoeg is, zijn zij geregeld ook nog eens getuige van de moord op hun moeder. In deze derde aflevering van seizoen twee van de podcast Vrouwenmoord vertelt Danny hoe hij als 11-jarig jongetje erbij was toen zijn moeder en twee broertjes werden vermoord.
