De 15-jarige Megan uit Breda zou in augustus 2019 gewoon weer haar eerste schooldag na de zomervakantie hebben gehad. Maar op school komt ze nooit aan. Ze wordt thuis vermoord door haar 16-jarige ex-vriend. Hij brengt haar om het leven met 35 messteken, omdat hij niet kan verkroppen dat ze het heeft uitgemaakt.
Alsof Megan ineens weer vrolijk binnen kan lopen en er niks is gebeurd, zo voelt het nog vaak voor moeder Sandra en goede vriendin Nena. In de eerste aflevering van seizoen 2 van Vrouwenmoord vertellen zij wat er is gebeurd met de tiener, hoe de dreigende appjes van Megans ex blijven komen na de breuk en hoe groot de impact van de moord op hen is.
