I'm Noah. Did you know there's a rabbi here? No shit, yeah, where.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
He has a beard and he was definitely judging me.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Sounds like a rabbi.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
Here's your phone.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
There is not a Jewish bone in her body unless
you put one in her.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Sh you're the rabbi.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
It's hot, right. So Series two of this runaway hit

Speaker 4 (01:44):
And has this been a pretty big month for the girlies.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
We're still recovering from Taylor swift new album and now
we're getting ready for more swooning over Noah and Joanne.
So next week, when all ten episodes drop, you'll find
four shiny new podcast episodes here in the watch party feed,
where we deep dive into every single minute detail of
this show. It's exactly what you need the second you
(02:07):
finish the finale and you're missing them already. But today
on the agenda, we're going to catch you up with
where we left off at the end of season one.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
I loved this series, and I actually rewatched the first
season because I was just wanting to kind of remind
myself why I liked it, also why it had such
amazing response. Globally and from the fans, And I think
the biggest thing about it was it was such a
breath of fresh air as a rom com, Like it
(02:35):
was new and we explored into faith relationships, which I
think is something that we don't see a lot of
on television. I think the chemistry between Joan and Noah
was just so palpable, and I think that really drew
audiences in and made them feel like they were a
part of this love story.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
I agree, Casanya.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
The chemistry was just yeah, it was tangibley. You could
almost hold those those kisses.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Oh oh that damn kiss, That damn kiss beautiful.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
What about you, TV? What did you think?
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I also felt like this show was like tailor made
for me. But I do think that the reason people
loved it so much was there was this incredible like
nostalgia and just caliber of casting, Like you've finally given
Adam Brodie the chance to be a leading man in adulthood,
Like we fell in love with him as a teen,
and then he's been in all these indie projects and
like bringing him back in this kind of role was
just perfection, you know, amazing with Kristen Bell, I think
(03:28):
Justine from succession Timothy from Deep Like You just had
a really solid cast and the script was so tight
that there was never a moment where you felt like
I'm bored, I want to look at my phone, Like
it just kept bringing that drama and the charisma and
everything was really wonderful between these characters. And then I
think the thing for me that I saw so many
people talking about that I related to was that it
was just a really healthy, lovely, communicative, romantic relationship on screens,
(03:54):
especially for two people in their forties, and it just
it wasn't really like that age was a sticking point.
It was just really nice to see when we often
see rom coms that are like third act tension drama breakups,
like this was really well rounded characters. Okay, Casenya, do
you want to kick us off with the origin story
of Nobody?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I absolutely do.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
Aaron Foster, who's the writer and creator of the show,
basically this whole story was inspired by her own love
life with her now husband, Simon Tickman, who is Jewish,
and she was the gentile. Gentile is obviously a non
Jewish person, and you know, on their first day sort
(04:33):
of back in twenty eighteen, he was said, you know,
I really like you, but I have to marry someone
who is Jewish. And the biggest reason for that, and
a lot of the reason why in Judaism that is
very important is because Judaism is passed down through the mother.
So usually if the woman isn't, your kids will not
(04:55):
be Jewish. So if that's something that's really important to them,
then you know, that's kind of yeah, what they need
to do.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
We saw it in Sex and the City, right, we did.
We did to play out before.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
This has been a little bit more like.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Totally goes into the details.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
All it goes into the details. Now, Aaron Foster.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I was going to say, please pull us in on
who she is for those who are listening, and they're like,
Aaron Foster, who.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Okay, so she's actually an EPO baby herself. I don't
know if you guys knew this.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
I actually didn't know.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
She is the child of David Foster, Yes, the David Foster.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Who married Yolanda gig and Bellaheaded's mom.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
Does that make her stepsisters to them?
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yes, yes, she was for a while.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
Well because they're not biologically related, right, but then, but
her mom was a model Rebecca Dyer, so she's kind
of been in the industry for a while. Simon is
not and didn't really want this show to happen at all.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
Okay, that's interesting.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
And initially the title of the show was going to
be called Shiksa. So Shiksa is a Yiddish word which
is often used in like a slightly derogatory way, which
is another word for like gentiles.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah, TV, I feel like you've been quite over there.
I want to hear what's going on in your brain
what happened in season one? For anyone who's just tuning in,
they're like, you know what, I missed the boat, but
I want to just start where the culture's at. Can
you fill them in on what went down in season one?
If nobody wants this, absolutely I can. I mean obviously,
as Cassena said, it's like it's a beautiful rom com
(06:27):
but's spread out over a number of episodes. So it
was like, actually good quality, great chemistry, really funny rom
com from the get go to the very end. So
when we started, we met Noah, who was played by
everybody's teen crush Adam Brodie, who we all love so much.
Hands up, if you had an I heeart Seth Cohen
shirt from supre Oh my gosh, cute. I wish I
had one. Now I'm Bradie so much and like we
(06:48):
knew him as a teen, and he's obviously had quite
an indie career. He's moved up along and then now
he's back in like a rom com role, so it
was very exciting. But so he came along to us
as Noah, and the season sort of started with the
fact that he goes home one day and his girlfriend,
Rebecca has found and put on an engagement ring. He
has not proposed to her, but she's put it on
and she's like, we're engaged. Great, this is the next
(07:09):
step of our relationship, and that just makes him realize that, like, no,
I'm not ready for this and I don't want this
with you, so they break up simultaneously. We've got the
beautiful Kristen Bell playing Joanne, and her and her sister Morgan,
who's played by Justine Lupe, they've got a podcast together.
The podcast is.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
You know, I don't want to say it, so.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
It's a podcast about their lives, but it does lean
quite heavily into dating and sex. So on the one
she's there talking about her life with her sister, you know,
really like honest, open conversations about being women. But then
Noah is a rabbi and obviously part of quite a
conservative community. They are both finding themselves single, going to
dinner with a group of friends all in their forties,
and they cross paths so cute. And then there's another
(07:52):
storyline that's happening underneath Casania. Johanna walk us through what's
going on there.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
So there's that relationship between Sasha, Noah's brother, and Morgan.
So Sasha is played by Timothy Simons. You might also
know him. He's also a Noah in Veep, the Julia
Louis Dreyfus show.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
If you've ever watched that, Yes, very hilarious, very weird.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Man.
Speaker 5 (08:12):
I think he's probably my absolute favorite character in that show.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
I think he's hilarious.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
And Morgan and there's this kind of will they won't
they relationship. They start to kind of develop feelings for
each other, and we end up with a lot of
like hiding in bathrooms trying to like hide this relationship
from his wife, esther Ye played by Jackie tom So
(08:42):
that's kind of where we leave off with them. And
then at the very end of the season, we kind
of have this big bum it'zvah. That's where those fucking
sisters have to go line the caps.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Great place to say something like that too, you know,
a teen's religious celebrations.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
But at the end of it, we kind of see
that the two of them realize that culturally they're not
going to work.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
They break up.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Have we mentioned the big job that he gets yet.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah, So obviously in the middle he obviously was hoping
to become head rabbi at his synagogue. His former rabbi
steps down tells him he's got the gig, and that's
sort of where the conversation comes to a head of
if we're going to stay together, you will need to convert.
And at first Joe end's like okay, great, and she
and her friends there's a great scenes where they're in
a bar googling like how to become Jewish six week
(09:28):
course and they sort of try to figure out, you know,
how could this work for her? And at first she's
like great, cool. She shows up at the bub mintzvah,
She's like, I'm converting. I want to be with you,
and in the span of that hour's long celebration. She
realizes she's not doing it because she wants to. She's
just doing it because she wants to be with him,
and that's not really enough for her to be the
wife of the rabbi. And Rebecca sort of pulls her
aside and says, you know, this was something I really
(09:50):
really wanted, and if you don't want it and you're
not ready for it, it's not going to work out
for you. So she makes the brave sacrifice to be like, well,
I don't want to make you choose, and I would
never make you choose, so I'm leaving and she leaves
him and she says goodbye, and we're all sad. We're
so sad, and then she gets the weird bus home
and then he's waiting by her car because he does
want to be with her, and we know when that
bu zoom's passed as soon as she gets off for
(10:12):
like you better, bloody, and he is the exact guy.
But I guess the thing is it's kind of that
like classic rom com trope of third act breakup and
oh we got back together, everything's happily ever after. But
now we actually get to see season two because it's
enough to say, oh, I want to be with you,
but like, what does happen after when you go, oh,
nothing matters, We're going to stay together.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Well, they don't.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
Really talk about like what the solution is. They kind
of just like, we'll just see how it goes. And
as Rebecca says, she's like, being the wife of a rabbi.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Is really really it's no joke. Hard Like, you are
a representative of the community.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
You need to be practicing Shabbat, you need to be kosher.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
There's so many things that come along with that.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
Yeah, so that's kind of where we left off on
season one.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Okay, so coming up, we're going to look into what
this show has done for the divine Adam Brady and
delve a little deeper into him. Plus, there's a controversial
new cast member next series that Joanne is gonna hate
but we are gonna love. We'll tell you who next.
Before we dive into what we think might happen in
(11:23):
the next season, I wanted to ask you guys about
why you think this show was such a hit and
do we think it would land the same this year? Yes,
resounding yes from Cassenya.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Well, Tina, you just told me that you rewatched it
and still loved it.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
I did.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
I rewatched it, and I was like, oh, maybe it
won't be as good, but it still holds up.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
It's been like over a year, you know.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Sometimes we get sucked into binge watching stuff and like
it's one after the other and it's all exciting and
there's a big cultural moment. But when I sat back
down to watch it, I was still like laughing out
loud at the one liners from all the side characters too,
Like it's not just the leads, but everything is so
well written and you can kind of see, you know,
if you know anything about the Foster sisters, like Sarah
Foster's actual personality comes through a lot in Morgan on
(12:02):
the show, Like it really does bring out all of
these individual people as whole characters. They're not just like
thrown in on the side. So it's just this really
well and beautiful story. And I think as well, that
Adam Brodie of it all. You can't really beat it.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Like, yeah, he's so hot, he's so dreadful. Speaking yes
of Adam Bury, do go on? Should we go into
the Resurrection?
Speaker 2 (12:24):
I mean millennials have just rejoiced with him back gracing
ours Greens. We loved him in the OC, and we
get to love him all over again. Ogs also love
him as David Gowski Gilmore Girls, which he was on
for a little while, and then he you know, went
on to play a little known role Seth Cohen in
the OC. You might have heard of it.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
Ever heard of him?
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Ye, never heard the originator of Chris Maker.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Exactly so true. And I feel like that was the
first time that I ever saw like a bit of
male on TV when I and I was like, you're hot,
I have a crush on you, and there was Ryan,
and a lot of my friends were You're either a Seth.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Or Ryan personally.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Absolutely, And that's when I knew I liked cute nerds.
You're in the cute nerd pipeline.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Fel like he was nerdy but not in a super
nerdy way but.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Had ail okay, and I support it. Who was grown
up with other trinkets and such.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
It's okay, you have a lab boobo on your dad.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Like canceled, I guess sorry.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
So obviously played Seth Cohen Ye from two thousands, thir
eighty to two thousand and seven. For some reason in
my mind, Penn Badgeley and Adam Brody are like the
same person.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
I don't know why, No, I agree into one even.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
Though I like Adam Brady, I like him better. But
for some reason, I get the confused.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
I agree and have.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Like in John Tucker Musty, I was always I wanted
the other Tucker see Nerdy, Pipeline Nerdy, I am who
I am?
Speaker 4 (13:46):
What can I say?
Speaker 2 (13:46):
But obviously, like Adam Brady then had the connection to
Gossip Girl, and like both of those shows were made
by the same man. And then you know, Adam Brady
marries late and mest I see how it gets messed
up in your mind. I get it.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yeah, that's see.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
Yeah, thank you understanding me. I always And they are friends, yes,
everyone's friends. Well, Layton Mes is obviously married to Adam Brody,
and we'll get.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
To that a little bit lighter.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Yeah, but Christy Bell really wanted Adam Brady to be
her love interest because their friends.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
I find them like a little bit weird.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
Have they ever played opposite each other before? Or they
just mates?
Speaker 5 (14:19):
Since she was like, they've worked together before, But I
don't know his love interests, but I feel like, oh no,
they have played.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Love interests before.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
But isn't it quite funny if you're kind of in
charge of casting and your mates and you're in relationships
and you're like, I want you to play I want
to kiss you. It's kind of like authorized cheating.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
I wonder how Dax Shepherd feels about that, But I
do think like I like Kristen Bell for that. I
like that she just went, you know what, I have
the chance to cast someone, and I'm going to pick
the one man that I know every millennial woman will
be happy to see on screen. She made a good decision.
She made a great decision. Their chemistry is you know,
it pops off the screen. And he's had a great career.
I mean he's been in all these indie projects, but
even when he's been in horror films like the TikTok
(15:05):
Girls are just making edits of how charming they think
he is, Like he's really been. People have been waiting
for him to come back in a rom com. So
I think that this was just they made a good decision,
even if it was just to kiss a friend that
she thought was a bit cute.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
I also think it's great to see a romantic story
of people in their forties, that isn't so centered around children,
and it almost feels like these characters could be in
their twenties. And I think twenty years ago, that's probably
what these characters would have been aged as. But more
(15:38):
and more now people are falling in love later in life,
people are having children later in life, and it's nice
to see that kind of story between the two of them.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Yeah, and it wasn't really a major talking point either,
Like there was no conversation where they sat down and went, hey,
we're both in our forties, let's talk about our age.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
I kind of forgot about it, yehnest Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Which was really nice because they're I was really hot.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Yeah, so hot.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
And actually when I first watched it, I was really
hungover at my friend's house and she's in her forties
and has been through a divorce and and watching her
watch the show was so joyous and she was like, oh,
I love it, and like, yeah, now that you've brought
that up, I'm reminded of what that meant for.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
Her as well.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, and that was such like as well. Obviously they
had their obstacles, but for the most part, quite a
healthy love. There's a lot of communication. They were talking
a lot about their feelings, like every time that you
could almost have one of those like miscommunication tropes. He
came in and solved it by just being honest and
talking to.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
Her because they're in there, because the assaults in their forties.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Yeah, and we don't have to play gang.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yes, And it was actually a really nice growing up
relationship without being like, oh no, we're forty, we're panicked.
It was just really lovely.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
To say. The end of it does sort of oh yeah,
it's a little bit in their twenties panic starts. But
do you know what I really love about this? I
only found out about this recently. The casting agents really
wanted to audition a bunch of other people to play
Joanne's love interest.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Kristen wanted Adam. But Adam is.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Offer only can you imagine what a tree offer only?
Like just sitting at home and I'm married to Lene Mesta.
You havn't a great time, oh to be Adam Brodie.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
I know actors get to a certain stage and that's
that's it. But it's a big risk for studios. And
to be fair, I know Adam's done a lot of stuff,
you know, indie wise, but in terms of big roles.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
It's not Yeah, and not at the level Kristen had obviously,
like she's been on the good place for years, which
is also like a massive Netflix hit. You're right, like
Adam wasn't quite as big of a deal before Nobody wants.
This came out as he'd once beIN. So that was
a big risk and it paid off for them. But yeah,
offer only Wow. I thought he must have gone in
there and just like blown people away.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Finally Wow.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
But apparently what sold them was you know the scene
where they're opening a wine bottle. Yes, so Adam couldn't
open the wine bottle at all.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
So he's just like a little bit weak and that's
what's sealed the deal for him.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Actually, Adams wouldn't open the wine bottle.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
They were like perfect to high not Noah, So that
was that was like the whole bit.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
It's almost like it was like method acting but on accident.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
Yes, like I've had me It's just I had many
times where I can't open a white.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Okay, well let's move on and chat about what we've
heard about season two. So they finished filming in May
and as I said, it's coming out next Thursday. October
twenty third, Do you guys have any theories? So we
do know that Aaron Foster's kind of spoken about the
fact that there was that sibling subplot where there might be,
you know, a hint of romance. For me as a viewer,
I did see that as like Morgan reading into their
(18:36):
weird texting dynamic and Sasha being a bit more just
scared of his wife. So I didn't necessarily see it
as the siblings like both having feelings for each other.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
I did see it more as like maybe.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
And as she said many times, Morgan had you know,
never really been friends with the boy before, she had
had bad relationships, she was having a divorce, like, so
I think from her perspective, maybe she was a little flirty.
I don't know that he was. And now Eron Foster's
kind of addressed that they want to steer away from that.
She's admitted they leant into it, but that they don't
want to go there because it would make the rest
of the characters have these actual sad, bad storylines and
(19:08):
they want to keep it light and fun.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Well I did.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
I did see chemistry between them, and I did think
that Sasha had feelings Okay, Yes, I saw that, and
it kind of upset me because I think that Esther
and Sasha have is really happy, married and a beautiful daughter.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
I just didn't want Morgan to be breaking up a family.
Speaker 5 (19:25):
Yeah, so I was quite happy to see Aaron say
that they're not doing that.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yeah, they're steering away. I wonder what they'll do, like
how they'll approach it, because I could read into that
and see what you're talking about, Cassanya, and I was like, Okay,
this could be something like the bathroom calls. I'm like,
that's a little clandestine if you ask me, it's.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
A little under the radar.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
I think I just wanted to pretend it wasn't happening.
Not fine, Yeah, well that's the thing. You also like,
we also want to be able to go can they
just be friends? Can can that be real? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (19:56):
But the bathroom thing did make me.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Go maybe Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
I have many male friends, and I have never hid
in a bathroom pretending to talk to them so that
my partner wouldn't find out. Like that to me, is
you think are doing something wrong?
Speaker 4 (20:11):
And that irked me.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
I think they knew it would upset her, like his wife,
that she would not like it, which again is yeah,
that's a problem. You shouldn't be doing anything that you
think is going to upset your partner. But I like
that they're going to lean away from it. How I
don't know, because, as you pointed out at the butt
Mitzvah Bena says that the girls have to go, and
that's a direct result of them reading the text messages
between these two. So that's going to have to be
(20:34):
somehow neatly wrapped up. I guess.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
There are a couple of new characters that we think
maybe Morgan's love interests, so we can kind of talk
about them, yes, a little bit.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
One who stands out to me, who Whomstar Love is
Alex Karpovski I think is how you say, it's Ray
from Girls Love loved him as the perfect cynic, more
delicious in Girls. And I'm really excited to see who
this character is, and I hope that he has that
same a similar amount of like, you know, attitude.
Speaker 5 (21:13):
Yeah, so he's supposed to be another rabbi big noah,
So there might be a bit of like a.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Bit of rabbi attention, a bit of rabbi rivalry, Yeah,
do you want?
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (21:23):
And then I think the Morgan's love interests were looking
at Miles Fowler and Arian Moyad.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Yeah, Miles is really fantastic in Bottoms if you haven't
seen it, I mean he's very funny, so I think
he'll suit writing with a comedic cast. But I think
he's a bit younger than her as well, so that
could be really interesting if he's one of her potential
like love interests. I also like that he's joining as
part of the basketball team. Like, I'm really pushing this basketball.
I love the basketball team. I think it's really wholesome.
What are they called again? I forget the mots of bawlers?
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Yes, I was like, it's a fun part.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
It's a fun part.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
It's a very la thing to be.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
And pick up basketball team, yes, like Adam Sandler loves
the pickup basketball team.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
What's a pickup basketball team?
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Almost like important.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
Pickup basketball team is like the team changes around a
little bit, but it's it's a very casual games, okay play.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
It's like more matey, right, rather than a league.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Yeah. Yeah, but they're clearly feeling very leaky with their
like uniforms and their vibes. Yeah, they're the most serious pickup.
But I liked that because you know, I'd go support.
I want to see the mount of ball as well.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
What did that? Men have hobbies?
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Yeah, and we have to talk about the most important
new character.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
Lighton MEESTERA is that who you're thinking?
Speaker 2 (22:31):
That is? Who? Easy Layton Mester, who is famously married
to Adam Brodie as well joining the cast as Joanne's
middle school nemesis.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
I hear drama.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
I am obsessed with this for the Gossip Girl OC
crossover of it all, as everyone is. But if you
don't know, Kristen Bell was the voice of gossip Girl
and Layton Mester obviously played Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl,
and then if you don't actually also know, Aaron Foster
was on the OC for a little bit, and then
Adam Brody was on the OC. So it's this weird
like amalgamation of all of these beautiful teen moments. And
(23:01):
I love that now, like Gossip Girl and Blair Waldorf
feuding in another universe. That's great.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
It's kind of like fan fiction.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Yeah, It's like I sat down one day with like
my little laptop on A three and went, here's what
I have to say, happened.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
To two thousands crossover.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Yeah and beautiful. We just need like someone from One
Tree Hill, anybody would do. Who does Aaron Foster play
in the OC? She is the redheaded lady from the
public school that Marissa is sent to. She's with Bolchok
when he claes car the girl who does the gun
mimic to Marissa.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
I feel like every time people mention the gun that
I have to say that line late. Missa's going to
be playing the middle school nemesis. So she's a mummy
blogger with a blog called Abby Loves Smoothies, which I
feel like is so so good. I was talking to
a friend about this and they were like, I don't
really believe that people still have nemeses in their forties,
(23:59):
and I was like, absolutely they do.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
I'm trying to think if I have one. Do you guys?
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Have yes?
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Made my life hell for two years?
Speaker 4 (24:07):
No? So have you ran into that?
Speaker 1 (24:09):
It's I'm winning.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Yes. See, this is the energy I think we're gonna
have and nobody wants this. I need like battling it
out too gorgeous forty something women being like I hate
you still, It's like my mummy blog versus your sexy podcast. Yes,
very true, but.
Speaker 5 (24:24):
I feel like some of those things can cut really deep,
like even though we're mature adults now, we're.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
All just pointed little babies underneath it all though we
are we are.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Yeah, I also have to wonder, like who was the
one that did the wrong thing? Because in season one
the sisters joke about being mean popular girls. So I'm like, wait,
is lat me He's still the one who was bullied?
Or was Kristen Bell? We'll see, or.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
They bullied each other and maybe maybe.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
They like had the same like boyfriend at some point,
or like maybe they did the same guy classic. But
I do love that Adam Brody and Layton needs to
just keep casting each other in their shows now. For
a while, they sort of just pretended they had never
even met. If they were on a red carpet together,
they were like who's that ah? But then like Layton
and Adam were in Australia and they filmed Good Bad Cop,
and now he's in her like she's in his show.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
I'm like, you guys, thank you good for scheduling.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah, it's good for husband and wife. They can share
a room.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
So true. That will bring the costs down.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Yeah. Well, the season will premiere on Netflix on October
twenty three, and I'm so excited to watch it.
