The Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health (ALSWH), also known as Women’s Health Australia, is a comprehensive, population-based research initiative that has been examining the health and well-being of over 57,000 Australian women since 1996. Conducted by researchers at the University of Newcastle and the University of Queensland, the study encompasses four cohorts of women born between 1921 and 1995.

The study's ongoing research continues to provide valuable insights into the health needs of Australian women across different life stages.

Professor Deb Loxton is a leading figure in women's health research, serving as Director of the Centre for Women's Health Research at the University of Newcastle and the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health (ALSWH).
