Nederlandse startups moeten ambitieuzer en strategischer worden. Dat zegt Constantijn van Oranje, special envoy van Techleap, in deze aflevering van Wereldspelers. 'We zijn te lief voor startups,' stelt hij. 'We willen iedereen in leven houden met subsidies, maar het zijn vaak te kleine potjes. De overheid moet kiezen: waar willen we echt in investeren?' Volgens hem is een gerichtere inzet van middelen nodig om veelbelovende startups sneller te laten groeien.
Constantijn benadrukt dat ondernemers groter moeten durven denken. 'Soms is Nederland gewoon niet de juiste markt,' zegt hij. Succesvol opschalen vraagt om vroegtijdig contact met investeerders en een heldere positionering richting klanten.
Naaldloos injecteren
Een voorbeeld is de innovatieve startup Flowbeams, mede opgericht door Lea Milovich. Flowbeams ontwikkelt een naaldloos injectiesysteem met behulp van lasertechnologie – gericht op de cosmetische industrie.
