the evening between Myers Park and JM. Robinson. A one
hundred yard kickoff return for Chaz portis the wide receiver
for the Myers Park Mustangs. He takes the opening kickback
one hundred yards and Myers Park is on the board
to begin this game. Anthony Pegnada alongside Josh Marlow here
and so now we're gonna be catching up the rest

of the way on what's going on here tonight from
American Legion Memorial Stadium. A great scene here, two great
teams matching up here tonight. It should be a very
fun one. Josh Marlow.

Yeah, if that kickoff was any indication what we're gonna
be in store for, We're gonna have a lot of
action here for the next six hours.

This kickoff from Myers Park goes through the back of
the end zone, left side of the end zone, and
it'll be a touchback. They'll come out to the twenty
yard line for JM. Robinson. A team that over the
last four years has gone forty four and six, including
twelve to one in each of the last two seasons.
They were hoping that this season will once again bring

some success and potentially a state title, which they have lacked.
This is the third year under head coach Jason Sidel,
who has done a tremendous job for the Bulldogs, and
he's hoping that he can continue that year. In the
first game of the season tonight, Ri Grayfield or Ari Greenfield,
excuse me? His quarterback back in the shotgun and with

one back alongside of him. Three wide receivers to his right,
one to his left from the twenty yard line. As
we begin here, and we've got a flag right off
the start, let's see what this is. Looks like false
start on the offensive line for JM. Robinson, So that'll
move it back five yards and it'll be first down

and fifteen for the Bulldogs. Greenfield, still on the shotgun,
moves his running back LJ. Watson, who will play both
sides of the ball tonight is Greenfield keeps it to
the right and gets about five yards on the carry

and back to the original line of scrimmage at the
twenty yard line. Did a good job.

They're getting back the penalty yardage visiting.

That's gonna want to run the football, so you can
see a lot of that tonight with the quarterback run.
A lot of motion expected as well. Send them down

Green Field last year five hundred yards passing seven touchdowns.
That was as a backup quarterback. Now getting the reins
fully this season with one of the state's best running
games this series.

Watson. He takes the carry off to the right side
and we'll carry that one up right near the thirty
yard line. They're gonna give them right at the thirty,
So a gain of ten and a first down for JM. Robinson.

A little bit of a generous spot, but a great
job setting up the block, attacking the hole, and then
getting to the second level of the defense, so we
know the seam wants to run the ball to carries
fifteen yards. Off to a good start for the running game.

Senior LJ. Watson last year one thy one hundred rushing yards,
eighteen touchdowns. Also in the backfield you'll see Ennis styles
at some point eight hundred yards, six touchdowns. Last year's
greenfield hands to Watson up the middle this time on
the right hash and he'll gain about three yards there
will bring up second down and seven for JM. Robinson.

So a lot of carries on the ground early here.

Seems like this is gonna be the rhythm that they're
going to try to establish, and it makes a lot
of sense. With the playmakers that Myers Park has, you
would believe they are going to be looking for the
explosive plays. JM. Robinson maybe just trying to wear down
this Meyers Park team this evening.

Not a bad game play, considering that Myers Park Part
seven on the board for they even touched the football,
all right, and you.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
See the false count. They're from the quarterback Greenfield and
gets meyers Park to jump offside. Looks like number eleven
to mad Lewis, who is a newbie for Meyers Park
but one of the best defensive linemen in the state.
Is currently down to five schools as a senior, considering

NC State, Texas, Texas A, and m USC and Washington.
On the other side of him, Rodney Dunham, who is
a four star recruiters Greenfield keeps it up the middle
and got absolutely walloped and it'll be third down and

about one coming up here for J. M. Robinson.

Yeah, Greenfield kept the ball because his running that was
gonna get tackled for a three four yard loss. He
may have taken the ball four, but he also took
a big lick as well.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah, smart play though to keep the ball in his
hands there. And now it brings up third down and
one can this Myers Park defense find a way to
get off the field? Two backs too in the barfield
and list let's see here, Josh says, it's going to
be a false start. Definitely saw Myers Park jump there,
so we'll see the referees are gonn huddle together, make

sure they get this one right. False start. You got
it right there, JM. Robinson, and that's gonna back them up.
So third and one now turns into third and six.
Certainly not what Jason Sidel was looking for there from
his guys.

Feels like they'll have to put the ball in the
air for the first time this drive, and so it'll
be third down and six.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Greenfield in the shotgun LJ. Porter to his right, two
wide receivers to his right and one to the left.
As Greenfield, we'll keep it here and tries to scramble
forward but can't find much room there, and so it's
gonna be fourked down and about three yards remaining from

their own thirty seven yard line. And it looks like
the punting units coming out here.

Great pursuit by maud Lewis, who switched side of the formation,
came across from the left side, made it all. Did
not make the initial play, but force of the ball
to be tackled, so great effort by him. And that's
why you mentioned its being recruited by a major Division
one programs at the college level looks.

Like Reese zosbo Reese Zabo, excuse me? Is back to
punt this one, and we've got another flag. And this
is a lot like what we saw last night early
in the Key Pounding Classic as another false start. That

is the third false start penalty or pre snap penalty
at least here in the first drive for JM. Robinson. Still,
you know, a decently productive drive, move the ball a
little bit with your running game. But now they're having
to punt back to Myers Park. Is Zabo just does
get this off. It's a short punt, but it'll take

a JM. Robins and bounced to about the thirty two
yard line of Meyers Park, and that's where the Mustangs
will take over. We'll get our first look at this
Mustang offensive team that last year went four and six
and three and four in conference under head coach Chris James.

They are looking for much better results this year with
some really good talent across the board here for this group.
So it'll be first down and ten. The quarterback Ramir
Watson coming out for Myers Park. I'll have one back

to his right, three wide receivers to the right side,
and here's Watson on a keeper. He's got some room
and makes a man miss. Now in the open field,
Watson takes it inside the fifteen yard line, and let's
see what a huge play there to start out for

Myers Park. Have to do the math here real quick
in my head, but a massive, massive play. And then
we talked about it the explosives for Myers Park. They
get one right there.

Yeah, I think it was a fifty yard rush there,
as you mentioned, two plays or one offensive play fifty yard.
Of course the kickoff return for the touchdown to start
the game. A great start for the Mustangs.

And so at the eighteen yard line of JM. Robinson,
Snap almost drops it and then Watson keeps it. He's
got a guy that he throws to in the end zone.
Brody Keith, Oh, let's see if he caught it. There
is a flag on the field. They're calling it a touchdown.
Brody Keith tapped it to himself, pulls it in. The

Duke commit with a touchdown at least for the moment.
But a flag is on the field back towards the
initial line of scrimmage. See what they call here, and
this one is definitely a flag on the opening kickoff.
We thought there was a flag, but that turned out
to just be a shoe.

What a great individual play by Ramir Watson to take
care of a fumblesnap and turn something into nothing.

Yeah, Brody Keith with an outstanding grab.

He had an outstanding grab in last year's game two
here or excuse me, that was in the key pounding class.
He had one that didn't count and this one will
not count either, unfortunately for Brody keif as it looks
like it's gonna be a five yard penalty, so not
sure what that is.

Maybe an illegal formation. There were two penalties.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
I think one was a legal formation that was declined
illegal man down field.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
There you go, okause it was the accepted penalty.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
So this offensive line for Myers Park, a stacked offensive line,
one of the better ones in the Charlotte area, unfortunately,
gets a little too far down field. A five yard
penalty backs him up to the twenty three hand off
up the middle for Josh foul Zarno and it'll be

(11:09):
a gain of about one up to the twenty two
yard line. It'll be second down and about fourteen to
go here for Myers Park.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
The first real positive play defensively for Robinson, whether it's
been on special teams or in their actual defensive units.
So just they got to settle down, take a deep breath.
Long way to go, but mars Park's able to come
out swinging a couple of explosive plays. The difference here
early on is Watson takes the snap, now looks, throws

(11:40):
wide open receiver and over overthrew them. There a wide
open receiver right in the middle of the field, right
underneath the goalpost, Miles Young and unfortunately Watson unable to
hit him.

You know, the.

Robinson pass rush. They are just able to make him
not be to step into that throw. It should have
been a touchdown. Now make sets up third and long.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
So third down and fourteen, they're gonna empty the backfield
here for meyers Park. Four wide receivers to the right
side of the quarterback Brody Keith lined up down on
the left side by himself.

As Watson throws a love ball for.

Keith, Keith can't come down with it incomplete. Great coverage
on the play on the outside by number thirty four
for JM. Robinson.

Yeah, Watson was looking that way the entire way. Great
job by the Robinson corner. He was in press coverage
and not loose side of the Duke commit. And now
what was looking like to be a sure touchdown drive
now sets up a long field goal.

That was Demonte Barr who was playing on the outside
there against Brody Keith. Good job by him. And now
here comes James Remsen trying to make this a two
score ball game. Here early on Remsen kick is up
and that is good from about thirty nine yards for

sailed through the end zone from James Rems and I
think we're going to see a lot of that tonight.
Impressive leg on the young man from Myers Park. And
so it'll be first down and ten from the twenty

yard line their own twenty yard line. An interesting four
field back out my bad interesting formation here at the.

To the left or the right hand side of the quarterback.
You've got three wide receivers, one stack behind one another.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Yeah, and they go attempt to hand off their green
Field fumbled. It shakes off a couple of defenders and
gets back near the initial line of scrimmage. Actually is
going to be back at the initial line of scrimmage,
and so a crazy play there, but it'll bring up
second down and ten. Seems like a miscommunication there between
the quarterback and it's running back.

I feel like jam Robinson, they just need to kind
of settle things down. They've tried to do some motions
that's led to pre snap piltis nikemouth, an exotic formation
that has nothing to do with the miscommunication on the backfield.

But just line up, snap the ball and run it.

Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Definitely seem a little nervous here out of the gate.
Down ten to nothing. As the snap to Greenfield, they'll
roll to his right. Greenfield throws that one complete for
right about five yards. They're gonna give him six on
the play right there, complete two, number five for Antonio
Howie the wide receiver, and so it'll bring up third

down and now they're marking it back third down in
about five. No, it'll be third down and four where
they're spotting the ball first wraps a little off.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
First completed pass for the Bulldogs gets them though in
third and manageable here. So they could they could throw it,
but with their ability to want to run the football,
it's gonna be a rundown as well.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Two running backs in the backfield with the quarterback Ari Greenfield,
they're split, one to his left, one to his right.
Now you got Antonio Howie in motion. Greenfield will drop back,
pressure coming in his face, gets it off to the
running back LJ.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
Porter, and it's gonna be really close.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
They're gonna give them the first down out to the
thirty one yard line.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
It'll be a first down for JM. Robinson.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
A great job by a great job by Grienfield standing
in the pocket with Lawrence in his face to make
that throw. Sets up at first and ten.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
All right, So first down and ten from the thirty
one yard line for the Bulldogs. Split backs will stay
in the backfield, two wide receivers to his left. One
down to his right. Greenfield drops the snat, picks it
up and again scrambling and he'll.

Find a way to pick up some yards.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
So once again looks like he has trouble handling the
ball in the backfield, but he finds a way to
scramble for about two yards and it'll be second down
to eight.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Some of their most productive offensive plays have come on
broken plays. Definitely not what you want to do going
into every drive, but he's done something with nothing a
lot of times.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Hey, you gotta like the fact that he has been
able to He doesn't panic when something goes wrong. He's
able to pick the ball up calmly and make something happen.
Second down and eight, Greenfield keeps it on a speed
option and he'll just end up holding on to it
instead of pitching it to his back. LJ. Porter picks
up about up four yards and it'll be third down

and about four.

That was the first time, Anthony I've noticed that Jay
and Robinson has put a tight end on the same
side of the formation as demod Lewis a ran right
at him. That extra brocco that allows him against four yards.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
So third down and four, try to draw the defense
off side, and now Greenfield gets the audible from the
sideline and relays it to the rest of the team.

Speaker 5 (18:35):

Porter to his left tail hand off to Porter up
the middle and stopped right there. Demaud Lewis the man
that brings down LJ. Porter And it'll be fourth down
in about three yards to go here for J. M. Robinson.

Looks like they're gonna set up and go for nothing
you could do there with Demaud Lewis, who shed the
offensive lineman, just reached out with this big Paul and
brought the running back to the ground.

So fourth down, and and let's see there are flags
on the play as Greenfield tried to draw the Myers
Park defense off side, but may have caused another false
start from his offensive line. Yep, another false start on

the J. M. Robinson offensive line. Fourth in the first
two possessions. And with that, Jason Sidel says, we got
to send out the punting unit.

Have they been able to move the ball in both
of their offensive drives mainly on the ground, but it's
been these pre snap penalties that have really put them
behind the chains that have neglected what could have been
promising drives, all right.

So fourth down and seven and the punting unit is
out once again. Reese's Zabo is back to punt it away.
As Zabo will get that one off falls to the ground.
This is a short punt and it'll roll out of
bounds on the near sideline at about the forty eight

yard line, and that is where Myers Park will be

goal from James Rempston. The kicker is this run up
the middle, doze absolutely nowhere, Josh Falzaro on the carry

Robinson defenders led by Ennis Styles in there for the tackle.

Yeah, he had nowhere to go for the moment he
got the football down. So that's up a third and

Third down and about eleven yards. As Ramir Watson lines
up in the pistol with Valzarno behind him, two wide
receivers to each side, Watson drops back, throws fires wide
open receiver caught there at about the forty eight yard

line of JM. Robinson and then able to make it
out to the forty five yard line. But it'll be
about three yards short of the first down and it'll
be fourth down and three in a decision here for
Meyers Park. They're gonna waste no time with them up
by ten, and it looks like they're gonna send out
the punting.

Unit, though maybe they were gonna go for but that
had been a better throw, that would have been a
first down. There were three Robinson defenders that were tracking
Brody Keith Rayley was actually open.

A better throw and he'll be able to keep us

The first down, all right, So it'll be fourth down
and three notable Ashton Rolland who is listed as a
quarterback is the punter that is out. He'll get this
one off high sailing kick. This is fielded at about
the one yard line by jam Robinson and there were

turner dropped at the five yard line. Looked like it
was number thirty three Nahim Snipe who ended up fielding
it back there. And it was Nahem Snipe who fielded
it back there at the one yard line, gets it
out to the five yard line. But boy, that's one
that you probably wanted to roll into the end zone there.

Looks like you just kind of lost track of where
he was on the field.

Yeah, that won't be a fun film such for him
when they review the tape on Sunday or Monday. But
that's what it had to be, because I find it
hardly if he knew he was at the one year old,
he would have fielded that ball. I mean you lost
fifteen yards of field position and you've had issues in
your first year, drives been able to sustain possession.

That was a tough one because I felt like he
got hit initially at the line of scrimmage, but was
able to power through and gain a gain four. That's
one thing to notice we've seen here in this first
quarter of these bulldog running backs.

Second down and about five, here's Greenfield rolling and completing
to his receiver. Looks like CJ. Wattie on the catch.

That was a great tackles. He was out there in space.

If he misses that tackle, there's a lot of grass
in front of him. But he was able to take
that receiver down to the ground and the quick manner
now sets up not third and long, but definitely feels
like a passing down for J. M.

This is probably the most productive drive that we have
seen so far from JM. Robinson. And again sticking with
the ground game, as that is Elijah Shu actually who
was down on the ground. They're the senior offensive and
defensive lineman able to get up on his own and
jog over to the sidelines under his own power. So

that's certainly good to.

See, you know, you definitely feel good for him. But
you mentioned this drive started inside their own five. They've
made their way across midfield and every drive has been
an adventure so far for this Bulldog offense. This one
you almost had a near interception. You come back, you
pick up the first time. They can get some points
out of this drive. They have to feel really good
with where they are concerning how this game started and

on the pre snap penalties that the railed their first
few possessions.

So first down and ten from the Myers Park forty
two greenfield with the running back Porter to his right
to his left. Excuse me as Porter tries to run
to the right side and nowhere to go, absolutely shut
down by the Meyers Park defense again. Looked like Demaud

this Meyers Park team this year as they try to
avenge one of their tougher seasons in recent memory of

I've been really impressed with this Jam Robinson passing attack.
When they give Greenfield out in a mobile pocket, that
feels like when they were able to move the ball
down the field through the air.

he'll pick up the first down, gets it out to
about the twenty seven yard line, gain of about four
and another first down for JM. Robinson keeping this promising drive.

Alive the first Reid option player I think we've seen
since the second drive, and every time Greenfield's been able
to be put that defensive and conflict, he's made the
right read and that time it gives his offense another
first and ten.

So first down and ten, this time from the Myers
Park twenty seven. As Porter takes the hand off and
carries it over right tackle gets back to the line
of scrimmage, maybe picks up a gain of one there.
As demd lewis again involved on that play right there,

out for a play. That's sireh relief for JM. Robinson
with what he's been doing so far in this game.

whether's in a mobile pocket or just in a traditional
stand back in the pocket, So they've kind of got

He's had a really big disruptive first half for this

field yet for Myers Park. Seen a lot of a

we got to look back at that first half, pretty
successful one for Myers Park. They scored ten points in
the first quarter, thirteen in the second quarter, and really
just all around. Yeah, you had the big play to
begin the night on special teams from Chasportis, but after

that the offense really getting in a little bit of
a rhythm there towards the end of the half.

And you mentioned those thirteen points in the second quarter
are all coming in the last six twenty two of
the first half, after that long JM. Robinson touchdown drive

quarter and half of the second quarter.

The explosive nature of this Myers Park football team really
showed up there in the finals six minutes or so
of the first half, and it was really established by
Josh Valzarno on the running game, being able to said

we'll have this Jam Robinson at the defense on their heels.
So it was very evident the who the better team

was in the first half. Myers Park first play of
scrimmage that took the ball the way back to the
end zone for a touchdown.

That set the tone for them in that first half.

Yeah, and Falsarno, I think if we look here, I
mean there have been a lot of guys that have
been playing well on the offensive side of the ball
for Myers Park chas Ports. Maybe you like what he's
done on special teams, but I would say Falzarno after
that first half probably the player of the game so far.
He's just been that effective when he's had the football.

Gets the football, it's him getting to the second level
before he's getting a hand on it or someone's getting
a hand on him. You know, multiple runs in the
last two drives where it was nine yards where he

run through. And yeah, right now, if you had to
give up your MVP Player the Game award, he'd be
the leading candidate because he was, in my opinion, the

best player on the field in the first half. That
includes Broden Keith, who caught a touchdown right before halftime.

Yeah, I was gonna ask you, what do you think
about the Duke commits so far? I know he had
the one drop on the tunnel screen, but he's had
two pretty amazing catches, one that was unfortunately taken off
the board, but he's looked pretty good, especially when it

that likes to run the ball a lot, but you're

that there needs to be too much level of urgency
where you get out of what you are most successful
in doing, but it really feels like in the second
half we're going to see lot of Ari Greenfield dropping
back and throwing the ball.

that they want to play football on the offensive side
for them to come back and really get back into.

seen at moments that you know Greenfield is able to

nearly the dynamic wide receivers that we see on the
other side for Myers Park, but I think that certainly
has to be the folk focus for Jason Sidel and

his group right now. The good news for this JM.
Robinson team is this is probably the toughest game that
you're gonna play all year, being in the four A
five A classification. Of course, if anybody's confused, there are
now eight classifications in the state of North Carolina, so
you will have eight state champions that will be handed

out at the end of the regular set or at
the end of the season rather going back to eight champions.
And so if you're JM. Robinson, this is one of
those tests that hopefully because you're playing this game, it
can come back to help you later in the season
when you get to the postseason.

Yes, kind of what you see maybe in college football,
where you play a big game out of the gate
to really test you for once you get into your
conference season. And for this is a program that it
hasn't been the regular season that's been the bugaboos when
they've gotten to the state playoffs, not being able to
come home with the state championship, as you mentioned, forty
four and six over the last four years, twelve and

one in the last two years exclusively.

So this could be a game that'll.

Prepare them down the road when they play their conference season,
but when they get into those state playoffs with they
hope they go deeper.

Than they have in years past. Yeah, what about Meyers Park.

I mean what we've seen from them in the first half,
coming off of four and six season last year, this
was a team that it's still had so much talent
a year ago, but now they're looking to take that
next step under Chris James. It's been, you know, really
weird at Meyers Park since Scott Chadwick was there. So
many different coaches have rolled into that program. They're no
longer the program that they were under Drake May. But

(01:18:35):
I think this is a team that if you if
they have the offensive firepower that they showed in this
first half and can hit some of those explosive plays,
there's a good chance they're going to compete in this
conference this year against a team like huff.

Speaker 4 (01:18:47):
There's too much pride within that program, too much talent
in that program to be four and six back to
back years. So you know, this is a team, this
is a coaching staff that's motivated to get them back
where they were, as you mentioned when Drake May as
a quarterback and they were competing at the highest level
year in, year round, and obviously a long way to go.
As we just got the season started this weekend. But

(01:19:09):
they've got I think the offensive firepower to be a
problem every time they walk on the field every Friday night,
because they've got Division one caliber talent on an offensive
side of the ball that think were able to move
the ball, put points up, gain a lot of yards,
and then defensively, a guy like Demaud Lewis single handedly
could be a guy that could really put them in
position to compete for maybe a conference championship and maybe

(01:19:31):
go deep into the state playoffs.

So it's really cool when they're good because.

There's a passionate fan base in the Charlotte area have
been able to see that in the past couple of years.
But if Myers Park is back, that's a good thing
for football in this area.

Yeah, it certainly is. And I think with what we
saw from Huff last night, now again very stout defense
on the other side for South Point, but certainly not
the most dynamic offense that's Huff has had over the
last few years. I think they're still looking for some
playmakers to emerge outside of Tyron Evans, and so I
think that is going to be one of the better

competitions in the Mecklenburg County area for A conference championship
this year in the Greater As Charlotte Athletics seven A
and eight A Conference, of course, huff Myers Parks, South Mecklenburg, Hopewell,
westmech and Garringer Garringer, by the way, last night, how

about this, They ended a streak of forty eight consecutive losses.
They had not won since twenty nineteen, and last night
took down Winston Salem Prep in their first game under
new head coach Jupiter Wilson. What an amazing moment for
those kids when you haven't won in almost six years.

That had to feel really good.

I'm friends with coach Wilson on Facebook and I've seen
some of the post he's put up on social media

come out in your first game in that long lose
the streak. You gotta feel good for those kids that alumna,

currently strongly in the hands of Myers Park. We'll see
if JM. Robinson is able to take back some of

quarterbacks really had their moments in half. Number one through
the interception there late in the first half, But I
thought for the most part was able to command this
offense and drop them down the field when they needed
him to.

Yeah, that was really the only mistake I thought that
he made in that first half. I thought he was
really cool, calm and collected. And when they got into
their two minute offense after they got the fumble right
before the end of the first half on that touchdown
pass to Brody keiev they'd never seen that they were

He knew time down distance. That's a real big thing

single year and it's a great event that they put
on here in American Legion Memorial Stadium, and it's been

You know, even before we were at the station, watched
Diami Brown when he was a young player for wes
Mech when they used to have three games in one
day back when before the renovation of the old stadium.
So it's an amazing event. As James Remsen will kick
us off here in the second half, this one will
sail short of the end zone and has to be

caught at the five yard line, and that one short
of shocked jam Robinson there. They thought it was gonna
go deep, but a smart play by James Remsen making
them actually return the kick there. Looked like it was
Cameron Tucker number nine who got underneath that one and
brought it back out to the twenty yard line.

Kind of makes you wonder if that was done on purpose,
just so Meyers Park can can kind of see what
they got on special teams. Look at the film because
we've seen his leg here in the first f he
had no problem putting the ball from the back of
the end zone.

Well, the other thing is, you wonder if that's a
play to try to see if whether or not they
could catch him off guard. Maybe get the ball long
long version of an on side kick there from Myers Park.
And so it'll be first down and ten from the
twenty yard line for JM.

Robinson, LJ. Porter, the running back.

To the left off quarterback Ari Greenfield. He's got three
wide receivers to his left, one to his right. Greenfield
takes the snap, rolls to his left. Now Greenfield looking
like he's gonna keep it and scatter around that left
corner for about five yards. It'll be second down and five.

There not a bad start to the drive for Greenfield.

No, I've really liked what he's done in the mobile pocket.
It feels like he extends to play as long as
he can and there's nothing there to throw, just pulls
up down and runs. And it feels like every time
he's gotten three, four or five yards.

Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
So second down and five. As he takes the snap,
gets it out quickly to his receiver ant Tonio Howie Man.
He'll take that up to the twenty nine yard line,
a gain of four. It'll be third down and one
coming up here for JM. Robinson.

A good job by London McElroy there on the outside
to make the one block to get how we open
and now that's that's up third and short.

So third down and one. Greenfield takes the snap and
he'll keep it and he will be knocked down short
of the lines. Again, looks like number forty four, Hank
Thrasher the linebacker and number fifty five, but Cory se
say getting in there for meyers Park to make the stop.

A great play by Thrasher. Dare I say, thrashing through
the line of scrimmage to be able to pull down
the quarterback there to stop him.

And it feels like down twenty three to six, you
got to go forward, and that's what jam Robinson's lined
up to do.

to get the first down as Greenfield he tried to
stretch the ball forward but can't do it. And guess
who shows up yet again It is demud Lewis who
has been there the entire night for Meyers Park.

A great play by Demaud Lewis. I don't understand that
play call. I understand why you have to go for it,
but I would have much rather have seen you line
them up in the backfield, maybe go five, watch spread
that defense out and his quarterback run him that way.
Everyone knew what that play call was, and that's why
I was so easy to get stuffed out.

Yeah, and especially with a shorter quarterback there not the
most physically imposing quarterback is ari A Greenfield, so he
wasn't able to really stretch that ball out the way
if you had a taller quarterback you'd be able to do.
And so it's now first down and ten from the
twenty nine yard line of JM. Robinson for meyers Park.

A chance to start putting this game away. As Watson
takes the staff throws it and that one complete out
in the flat landing Moss the tight end, he'll pick
up eleven yards and he's got a first down as
he gets down to the eighteen yard line of Jam Robbins.

They've done a really good job in their short, quick
passing game, just getting the ball out quickly. But where
there's a lot of green grass in front of them
for their guys to just be able to get downhill,
get and pick up positive yardage.

it usually is.

That is certainly the case. So a third down and
five coming up here for Myers Park from the thirteen
yard line of Jam Robinson need to get to the
eight to pick up the first down. Looks like a

and that one will go for about two yards up

Yeah, that was a great job by that defense after
that quick change, being able to step up and make

great pursuit by the Bulldogs, and I let that happen.

all the way to the end zone. I thought maybe
the motion man in the backfield maybe got the Jay
and Bromison defense his eyes in the wrong spot. Nonetheless,

So after the players over unsportsmanlike conduct being called, that
will be assessed on the kick. I think it will
be assessed on the extra point, is what he was
saying right there, or no, excuse me, it'll be on

to crack down on on sportsmanlike conduct penalties. Where do
you stand on that having a role or a place
