Speaker 1 (00:19):
Never get tired of hearing Piano Man. Whether it's Friday
at nine forty five for the Mack and Bone Show,
it used to be Fridays at the top of the
two o'clock hour for Weson Walker, we're hearing it here
at eleven am here on the Young Gun Show. One
more hour to go before we'll transition back into ESPN Radio.

(00:40):
You'll hear the Rich Eisen Show from twelve to three.
From three to six, it's Willie p N for Kyle Bailey,
and then after that we'll have Hornet's pregame covers all
right here on Sports Radio ninety two seven wfn Z.
Wuld remind you guys, we're broadcasting live from the Chandlin
Volta Studio. Cveinjurylaw dot Com, that Cvinjurylaw dot calm one call.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
That's all.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
They are the Carolina's personal injury lawyers. And even though
I had to go through Thanksgiving without any deviled eggs,
with not any pumpkin pie, we did not need an
injury lawyer because no one got, you know, taken down
at the uh at the at the Thanksgiving with the family.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
It's impressive because you have so many family members that
come over. I mean, what was it probably about thirty
over there so many people, Oh my goodness.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Yeah, if you were to stay there with your family
and watch and have watched that UNC game with someone
getting punched by Fiddy.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Punch, well, I would have been punched by my ma.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Ma.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yeah. Yeah, she's not a fan of she's not a
fan of the language.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
So I mean, I know I wouldn't have punched anybody
outside of myself because that was happening while I was
watching them play. Anyway, But man, we we we, we
made it through. There was only one little snaff fu
where my aunt showed up and was a little frustrated
that none of my cousins got to help bring all
the extra food that she wasn't supposed to bring into

(02:03):
the house. But you help, Oh yeah, yeah, that's a
bad look for the others. Thanksgiving is Fiddy's holiday, so
like it's I mean, I'm in a festive mood.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
So you were eating, So you went out to the
car and were just beginning to eat.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
As my uncle and I we were cutting the one turkey.
I mean we were eating and cutting at the same time.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah, it makes sense.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
An he went out to help bring the stuff in
just because he was looking for those deviled eggs soon.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I mean, just so disappointed there is that he or
the deviled eggs. He's got to be it, right, it's
got to be here.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
I won't repeat what I said to the family about
there not being any deviled eggs, but you know, it
was disappointing.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
They're not being any deviled eggs.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
But I'm sure the people that were in the room
were probably better off having to smell what the deviled
eggs do to me. That's a fantastic point. So it's
already bad enough.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
This is the most like awkward show ever, only awkward
if you make it awkward.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah, but I think you're the one doing it. I mean,
I'm I'm just being fitting and you either like.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Hey, you know what, that is a great That might
be the best point you've made all day, is that
you're just being yourself and people just have to adjust
to it.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Let's stalk college football one final time, shall we. Let's
do it.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Rivalry weekend take center stage really, starting today with just
games at Noone, three thirty, seven, thirty going into Tomorrow's
the final weekend of the regular season. Obviously, we're Carolina guys,
they've got a quote unquote big game tomorrow night against State.
Can I wait to watch us get our butts kicked
for a fifth straight year in that matchup? Oh, dare

(03:42):
you if you could only watch one rivalry game this weekend?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
What game would it be? Well, I mean, I gotta
go with our rivalry.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Game right now, I would say I would say Ohio
State Michigan. I think it's got everything that you need
on the line in this game. You've got the fact
that Michigan has won four straight. There's going to be
added motivation for Ohio State. And there's a good chance

(04:14):
that if Ohio State wins, there's another flag planning incident
that happens this year.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
How they retaliate. I think it's going to be interesting.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I think it's gonna be interesting to see Ryan Day's
emotions during the game because and Trump get ready for
the stab and cut. I'll toss to it here in
a second. You could convince me there's more pressure on
him tomorrow than there was when they beaten Entername for
the National championship because of how much this game means.

(04:44):
I hate the way that Fox promotes this game, which
makes sense on their end. Because they have the rights
to it as the best rivalry in sports. I'll still
argue Duke Carolina is better. Yes, I do believe that
this is the best rivalry in college football, though, And
I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Like, if I could only have three and a half hours.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
To watch college football this weekend, that's the game I'm
sitting down to watch. And for me, it's been that
way since I got into the sport. Like there are
years that the Iron Bowl is massive, and I love
when the Iron Bowl is very important. I don't love
the Iron Bowl at night. That game should be played
at three point thirty. Bad scheduling by ESPN. But even

(05:25):
when Ohio State Michigan doesn't matter nationally, there's just a
fever to that rivalry that cannot be replicated that you
cannot like. What they say about that rivalry is real
And I'm pretty excited to watch that game tomorrow. I
think Ohio State wins. Yes, I think that game is
in doubt going into.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
The fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Oh I would I would be shocked if it was.
And I think it'll be a close game. I mean,
Ohio State's not gonna blow them out. I just I
can't see that. And you could say, well, earlier in
the show, you said that you don't trust Michigan offense. Yes,
but I don't think that. I think Michigan will do
enough defensively to be able to keep themselves around when

(06:08):
those two teams play each other here recently. You throw
out the records, you throw out anything that's happened earlier
in the season. It is a knockdown, drag out type
of game, and I think that's what you're gonna see
again in this one.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
It'll be low scoring.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
It's gonna be one of those games where people are
gonna come away saying why would you pick that game?
Why wouldn't you pick a game where there could be
more offense. But I think the level of hatred, the
importance that that has on the college football Playoff is
the reason why you have to go with that game.
Because you look at the other games that are out there,

(06:43):
there's only one other two other excuse me, two other
ranked on ranked matchups, one of them on Saturday, You've
got for Vanderbilt and Tennessee, which I think will be
a really good game. I mean, I'm very intrigued to
lock in on that one.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
But I mean.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Texas, Texas A and M.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
I don't know how excited I am for that game,
because I I'm the one that thinks this is the
game where Texas A and M maybe makes a statement
to the rest of the country.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
On the road in Austin, I think, I think they
with the Longhorn team that is peaking at the right time.
But are they they're playing their best, they're playing their
best football.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
I mean, their defense is still has not been anywhere
near as good as we thought it.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Was gonna be.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Has that been a bigger disappointment or surprise to you
than the Archer Manning stuff? Because we entered the year
probably believing that that defense was and after the way
they went into you know, Ohio Stadium Week one and
was the only reason why Texas had a chance to
win the damn game. Like we all came out of
here saying it, Hey, they they play like that defensively,

(07:53):
that offense will improve. They'll be able to run the
ball with Baxter and Wysner and all those guys.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
But that hasn't been the case.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Like when they've won really outside of the Oklahoma game,
they've had to win by scoring and because their defense
hasn't stopped anybody was disappointed with the way that I
think Georgia just manhandled them a few weeks ago in Athens.
Georgia just a lot more physical at the point of attack.
But I think Texas wins this game.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
M I think the college football playoffs sake, I hope not,
because that is not a team that I think should
be competing for a chance to win a championship.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah. I don't think they're among one of the twelve
best teams in the sport. But if they win, I
think their resume does get complicated because I think the
win over an an n would probably outweigh a loss
to a Florida team who quite simply is not very good.
When you look at Clemson South Carolina. We did a
topic back earlier this summer when we filled in for

(08:54):
Hoggard about like the Carolina's being the epicenter of the
college football world and was really focused on that game
being massive or playoff implications seeding. I mean some people
thought that, you know, I thought Clemson was gonna go
and defeated win the national championship. Some people you thought

(09:18):
you thought South Carolina was going to go to the CFP,
thought they were a legitimate threat with what they did
at the end of last year bringing back Leonora Sellers,
and Shane Biemer said earlier this week shop I'm a
queue of that cut instead that he believes this game
next year will have national implications like I had here previously.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
One hundred percent convinced that this year is a little
bit of an outlier and a bump in the road,
but that next season and then every year from here
on out, this game will be played in think November
on Thanksgiving weekend with playoff implications. It didn't happen this year,
and I know both teams feel like they're extremely close
to where they want to get back to and where
we were last year at this time or this game,

(09:58):
we were going into it and we thought the winner
was going to be in the college football playoff, and
this season that's not what The implications of this game
are still really really meaningful and still really really really special,
and it didn't happen this year. But we're not going anywhere.
We're only going to continue to get better as a program.
And I know Dabo feels the same way. They're not
going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
They've recruited.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Well, I'm sure we're and got good young players in
their program, and they're not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Do you believe that? No, not for a second.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
First of all, I don't think that Dabo is going
to turn things around at Clemson. I don't think this
is all of a sudden going to be back to
a college football playoff team.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Just like that.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
You gotta started at some point. You've got to start
believing that this is what Clemson is going to be
moving forward. They're going to be a team that's probably
going to have three, four, maybe even five losses every
single season because I just look, they're bringing in talent,
but for some reason, the message is not clicking.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Look at all the talent I was on that roster
this year.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
I'll be interested to see because I think he's going
to overhaul the entire operation.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
I hope.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
So.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
I think Garrett Riley out, I think Tom Allen out.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Really after one year. Wow, look at that defense.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
I mean they're not great, but how much of the
defense has been a disaster job coaching?

Speaker 2 (11:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Man. When when you see what six six seven guys
get drafted in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft,
I mean the NFL people are going to tell you
that it's not a player issue, with's a coaching issue.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
I mean I would, look, I will tell you right
now if I for my team and some of the
guys that you're talking about pretty much that defensive line
giants aren't gonna need those guys. But you know, even
from a Panther's perspective, like I would not want t J.
Parker because I don't know who is actually to blame.

(11:58):
Is it the player that's not execut or is it
the coaching?

Speaker 2 (12:03):
To me, I mean, these players have been here for
how many years?

Speaker 3 (12:06):
Can you point out to me a guy that has
gotten better in his time there? I don't see somebody
that's gotten better, So it could be development. But also
I think some of it this year was this was
a group that was reading its press clippings and really
thought that they were gonna be great.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Well, I just think they put so much into LSU
and when it didn't get the result they looked for,
I think it just zapped all their confidence, I do,
which is a bad sign. I do think the DABO
thing is coming to an end because I look, they're

(12:46):
just sometimes where a coach runs this course, man, and
it just it feels like to me, you know, And
I've got a lot of Clemson of friends, family members
that are Clemson fans. For a lot of Clemson dudes
on social media, went school with they're all pretty much done.
Like they're thankful for the national titles. They're thankful for
all the ACC championships and the burfs and the CFP

(13:09):
and all that.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
But I bought in.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
I thought with what they did last year getting into
the playoff, pushing Texas, I thought they were primed and
ready and they fell flat on their face. And you know,
I think Dabo does a really good job trying to
sell you that he's going to rally the troops and
they're going to bounce back from this. But how much
stocks should you put in that if you're a Clemson fan,
you're talking about it's been you know, when was the

(13:34):
last time they were legitimate threat to win a national
championship in five years? Yeah, and that was after a
five year run where they were the first or second
best team in the sport.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I mean, yeah, look, they can compete, Like you could
say that it could be a college and a game
that's important to the College Football Playoff because maybe they're
a team that has a chance to win the ACC again.
But I just don't know if you're going to feel
like they're a legitimate threat South Carolina next year.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Oh, I believe that South Carolina can be a threat
next year.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Oh so you think it's going to be the boundary.
I think you're buying into what Beamer has been.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Yeah, because every time that you start doubting him, now
here's going to be the problem is that one of
these years it's going to bottom out so bad that
you can't survive it. But I think that's what that's
what we've seen. Man, every time that this team has expectations,
they don't live up to it under Beamer. Then when

(14:31):
nobody's talking about them and they're doubting them and saying, oh,
this is going to be a team that struggles this year,
they'll probably finish like six and six, they pop up
and they find a way to finish eight and four,
nine and three, something like that. I think nine and
three like they could be in the conversation next year.
But I mean, it's it's gonna be interesting do they
hold on to the Lenora sellers. You know, he's a

(14:52):
guy that I think is going to be very coveted
in the transfer portal. I think is already probably getting
calls on the side saying, if you come, you are
gonna make significant amounts of money Ala Miami, who is
going big game hunting. So I mean, that's that's gonna
be the thing that's gonna be interesting to me. But yeah,
I buy into the beam a.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Roller coaster man.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yeah, I just feel like whenever you haven't been able
to build off success, I think it's hard to establish
yourself as a program. I think this time next year
we'll be talking about this job being open because I
don't think he's I don't think he's not the right
guy for the job, but you just you just can't
be as inconsistent as he has been with the fan

(15:35):
base that is as irrational as theirs is, and with
all the money they've poured into that program. Seven O
four five seven oh ninety six Tennis to Young Guns
here on Sports Radio ninety two seven WFNZ. Even we
come back, we'll put together our victory formula for the
game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Is it possible?

Speaker 1 (15:55):
We'll talk about that next on Sports Radio ninety two
seven w FNZ. Two more segments to go on the
Young Guns. We're here with you up until the top
of the hour. Then it'll be the Rich Eisend Show

(16:17):
from noon to three and from three to six. As
you heard Smoke right there promoting, it's Willie p n
for the Kyle Bailey Show. Then we'll get you ready
for the Hornets game tonight with horn Inch pregame shortly
after six.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
O'clock Doghouse on on Sunday. Right, yes, sir, Yeah, countdown
to kick off.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
That'll be a big that'll be a KB and Mac.
Catch me out there too.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
I'll be down there at the doghouse on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Oh wow, are you doing? Are you working or are
you going to the game? Yes, sir, yes, sir. So
let me get this going with my buddy buddy to
the game.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Was you was that Kyle? Yeah, Kyle showed up at Bailey.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Now, I was doing my my impression of you doing me.
I'm going my buddy two.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
K So you're going to a game, yeah that you
believe we have absolutely no chance in winning.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
I may or may not have purchase the tickets. They
might have they may have been given to me.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Okay, I mean well that's yeah, you can I mean, look,
if your buddy t K is giving you tickets, you
gotta do what you gotta do. But I mean, of
all three of us that have been on the air today,
you've been the most negative about Carolina. Oh, it's gonna
be a murder in this this this game on Sunday afternoon.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Wow. So let's see what do we have coming up
right here? Next? Victory formula formula in the morning.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
Step one, Wake up number two, pray number three, go
play the game.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
That's about you to get a chuckle at me putting
prey on the on the victory formula. That's the third
thing I wrote down. Oh, you actually have it all there. Yeah,
that's I mean, that's really about it.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
With this defense man, with the injuries, I just the
defense has been was able to keep the Panthers in
some of these games this year. I just don't see
how you're like fourth and fifth linebacker and like your
third and fourth corners are going.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
To be able to do it. Oh, I can tell you.
I can tell you.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
It's turnovers. It's what you did against the Niners. That's
what you're hoping for defensively, And I mean we talk
about it so much. It's the NFL.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Man, Yep, the NFL is weird and it's tricky, and
you never just when you think you figured it out,
it reminds you that you don't have it figured out.
I put a whole lot in a West Coast team
coming to the East Coast. Our body clock's going to
be at the ten am start time.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
But remember, Smoke did the research and they're like fifteen
and seven or something in this time slot.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Or they've done a good job. You gotta give them
credit for that. But they're coming off, you know, a
great win on Sunday Night football.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I imagine they had a good Thanksgiving dinner.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
There was probably deviled eggs and pumpkin pie at their
table as opposed to mine. Maybe that makes them more frustrated,
like they'll get it twisted.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
If Carolina wins, I would be shocked.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Well, if it's twenty four to fourteen in the fourth
quarter and Carolina is driving, I would not be shot,
because this is what the NFL is. Man.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
Yeah, no, I feel like this is one of those games,
kind of like with Charlotte versus Georgia last week. If
if the Panthers can play cover ball with all the
injuries on defense. I think you kind of have to
come away looking like feeling pretty good from it. I
just don't think they'll be able to keep up with
this offense. I know people are bringing it up on

(19:43):
the on the text line. You know, it was supposed
to be low forties and rainy. Listen the forty The
Rams almost beat the Eagles in Philly in the snow
last year in the playoffs, So I don't really think
that weather's going to have that much of an impact
on them. I just think that, you know, this is
this would be you know, totally this year's Panthers, though,

(20:04):
to go out and loose the Saints and then lose
to the forty nine ers when they had an opportunity
putting up an absolute stinker, and then go out and
beat the Rams like that, that'd be exactly how this
season would go. None of us thought they'd beat the Packers. Well,
at least you guys might have picked a button. I mean,
no one really expected them to go in and beat
the Packers, and this might be the same scenario. I mean,

(20:26):
I really really doubt it. But this, yeah, I mean
it's the NFL. Anything can happen, but this feels like
it is the toughest game on your schedule all season long.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
You mentioned the Packers, and that needs to be the
way that Carolina approaches this game. This needs to be
a low possession I mean six seven, maybe eight possessions
at the most. Too many six to seven references. There's
no such thing as too many six sevens. I want
to six seven my ass off until it's no longer Yeah,

(21:00):
it's no longer a thing.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
But like I think you need to be you need
to be okay that they're gonna move it. They're gonna
move the ball from twenty to twenty. What do you
do in the red area? Do you have you know,
do you give up seven point plays or three point plays? Those?

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Those those are gonna be the difference.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
But I mean, can you can you can you pull
them into a phone booth and look, it's hard to
do because their physical as hell, the defensive lines really
freaking good. But can you can you block them well
enough to where you can run it and just really
shorten the game and really do to them what the
Niners did to you on Mondaynight Football, which is just

(21:38):
play keep away and and just do and just do enough. Again,
I'm not I'm not saying that I expect Carolina to win.
I do expect them to compete, though, and it just
feels like Shrop mac bone they were in the camp
on Wednesday, that we're just gonna roll over and play
dead and get their asses kicked. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
I think you look at some of the games that
Carolina has had this year, after they've lost games, that's
what gives you the feeling that they're going to respond
in some way in this game. And so I think
that's probably going to be the reason why. I look defensively,
I don't know if there's much you can do now.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
The weather certainly helps.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
That's the biggest helper to your defense is that the
weather is going to be terrible. So this means that
for a team that loves to throw the football in
the rams, they are probably going to have to be
more run based. I would think that they're going to
lean on Kyron Williams a lot more in this game
than maybe some of the other games that they've been in.

(22:38):
But I mean, if you're Carolina, that's the thing. Can
you find that success running the football again? Can he
get back? I'm not saying you got to run for
two hundred something yards on the ground, But can you
just allow that to really carry your offense? As you said,
sort of play keep away, but just have the ball,

(22:59):
just possess the football, be an efficient offense that can
move the ball down the field. If you can get
some of those moments, then I think you have a chance.
And the thing is the other reason why I give
them a chance. And some people will point back to
the Bills game, but this team at home this year
has been a different team. They have been really, really

(23:20):
good at home for the most part, and so I
believe that this is one of those games where with
the comb crowd behind them, they're able to put up
a little bit of a fight. And my thing is
is that I get it. It's gonna be rainy. His
team's coming off a loss. If you are Panther fans,
show up to this game, support your team. Because this
team is six and six, they're still worth supporting. They

(23:42):
still have a chance to win this division. But this
is one of those games. This is a game I'm
gonna tell you right now. When it comes to looking
at the playoff picture, nobody is predicting that Caroline is
gonna win this game.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Now you're just.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Hoping that they find a way to pull an upset
in this one and that it's by some miracle they
get to seven and six and then all of a sudden,
if they win this game, then you really feel like
they have a chance to make the playoffs. If not,
then what you're really hoping is that that game against
Seattle is the one that ends up going Carolina's way.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I think this is also where if you want to
give the schedule makers like the middle finger, like that's okay,
because if the bye week was this week and then
you're coming out and you're getting to play La at home,
I think we'd be a lot more open to putting
a legitimate formula together to win.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Could you could, honestly, could you make the case if
you had J. C.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Horn that you have a chance to win this game?

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
I think that's the biggest injury, you know, because Wes
Bryant les or the JAC hornor last time I checked
the elite corner and it's coming off on the West
Brian not elite corner. Yeah, one of the best games
he's played as a tire NFL career. I don't know
what was on that field on Monday night. But there
are too many guys that were having concussion like symptoms.
We might need we we might need to inspect the

(25:03):
field there at Levi Stadium. But yeah, if if you
had JC, I could be open to it.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
And because that that allows you to create maybe a
turnover too, Yeah, which I just don't know right now.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
I mean we said it earlier. Man, you're rolling with
Mike Jackson and.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Yeah, because j jc's not playing Sunday, like, oh no, no,
he was.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
He was thrown up on the sidelines. That's pretty severe.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
That's bad.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
So I find it hard to believe that he's going
to be out there, that that would be That would
be stunning to me.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Yeah, and if he, if he is, they're probably gonna
do some sort of investigation because short week two, I mean, dude,
they didn't get back here until Tuesday morning at six am.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
Well, this is just not coming in from Joe person,
from Joe person about three minutes ago out there practice.
Official injury report will be out later this week, but
out of practice, he says, not seeing j C. Horn, Claude,
Cherry List, Christian Rose Boom or Caid may So also
Chandler is Zavala is when he's not seeing as well.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
So don't think any of those guys will be playing.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
So all the guys that didn't practice yesterday not practicing today.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Well the one from yesterday that was walk through, so
that was whoever the DNP and all that, that was
more of a guestimate by the people. But yeah, I
seen them actually out there. Yeah now yeah, So once
again j C. Horn, claud and Cherlist, Christian rose Boom,
cad May's Chandler Zevala not out there practice today. Once again,

(26:31):
that's from Joe person saying he doesn't think any of
those guys will be playing this Sunday. The injury report
will be later, will be out later this afternoon.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
And you know what this height or what this highlights
to me is what my biggest takeaway was when I
watched this team in the preseason, and it's why they're
a year away, Like next year is going to be
the year.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
This roster doesn't have the depth that you need to have.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
In this league to legitimately be a factor, I think
to be be a playoff team. You're just gonna take
advantage of the fact that you're in a bad division,
and and Tampa's like, we can be honest with ourselves here,
Like Tampa's only in the position that they are in
because of injuries, Like if that roster was healthy, they

(27:14):
would not be six and five, no, no better.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
With the way that.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Baker's been playing to I would probably say, you take
away some of the injuries bugs that they've had to
kind of overcome, they give like an eight and three.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Type of vibe.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Yeah, because I don't think they were great. I mean,
you got to remember, this is a team that did
let the Jets come all the way back against them
and then had to win it with a game winning
field goal. So I don't think there was I legitimately
early in the season, because of how the NFC looked,
how some of the other teams in the NFC looked,

(27:46):
I thought there was a case to be made that
they were the best team in the NFC.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Baker was playing in October, the best quarterback of any
of any quarterback in the league in the Matthew Stafford said,
hold my beer.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Yeah, and so, and this is the this is the
other thing that really sucks. This is the thing about
this game that really sucks is out of everybody that
you could possibly draw, even just switch the games that
you between this week and last week. I think if
you had suffered all those injuries against the Rams and

(28:19):
then you had to play the Niners, I think you
would have a better chance to win the game. I
think there would be a formula that made a lot
of sense this one. I mean, yeah, against the Niners,
maybe you don't have to put in prey against the Rams,
probably need the prayers.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Yeah, So I don't think you're wrong.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
I think you know, no matter what happens on Sunday,
you get this bye week, you get a chance to
re catch, you know, just just catch your breath, get
everybody healthy, and then you're looking at you know, that
stretch run, those those four games.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
You know are going to be all very.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Winnable when you need, by the way, you need the
Cardinals to win this weekend.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
You need a little bit of help there. Yeah, I
mean it would, it wouldn't hurt.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
I think you're looking at a scenario where they lose Sunday,
they gotta go three and one down the stretch, and
that would suggest to me, obviously we expect them to
bounce back against New Orleans the better, but you're asking
them to beat Seattle at home, which could be on
a short week because that game could be flexed to Saturday,

(29:26):
and then you're splitting with the Bucks or I mean,
if the I don't see, I don't see two and
two getting it done, depending on what Baker and Tampa
look like.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Yeah, I also don't think Baker's out for an extended
period of time.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Because that's the thing. Two weeks for his injury, I.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Think because they said shout out to the Orthrow bro
they did text in the other day.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
He was totally correct. He said it was an ac joint.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
That just what it ended up being, and they said
around two weeks probably where he's looking. We also know
Baker Mayfield's tough as hell, so wouldn't be surprised if
he really just missed a week.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
I mean, if if Baker's injury was serious enough, then
you could maybe see.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Them winning both games against Tampa. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
But I I if he is out there, I believe,
I mean, you look at there, They're gonna be healthy enough,
especially at wide receiver. I think they'll probably end up
taking one game. So that's the thing. Man, can you
get late season Sam Darnold a guy that you know
last year struggled at the end of the season.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Can he have moments like that?

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Can you create, you know, a few turnovers off of
him and just get a few breaks.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
That's that's the thing that And.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
I don't think it's impossible because I you know, I
look at Seattle and I think they are somewhat gettable
out of all the teams that are in the playoff
picture in the NFC, like the teams that are in
right now, that's still one that I feel a little
unsure about because you do have, you know, a very
injury prone running back in Kenneth Walker. You've got a

(30:57):
guy who you know is as unpredictable as anybody sometimes
at quarterback, especially in big games. So yeah, maybe it
does end up breaking your way. But you know, this
this weekend. This that's why this weekend really sucks that
you feel the way that you feel about this game,
because if they could find a way to get this one,
it puts them in such an advantageous position. If they

(31:20):
win this game, you can go too and two down
the stretch, and I still think you could win this division.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah, oh, you most definitely if you were to get
this game Sunday. You now have the thing that you
don't You never want a team to have, but it's
good to have in your back pocket. Rouvrera yep. Whereas
if you lose this game, I don't think there's going
to be as much room for error. All right, we'll
make our picks coming up in the next segment. We've
spent a lot of time here talking about injuries. One
packed the game on Sunday. Now we've got to look

(31:46):
at how injuries unpacked the games this weekend. In college
football is signed for a Neogenics culturable injury report with shop.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
That's right in this Neogenics college football injury report. Well,
it's brought to you by I guess who Neogenics Neogenics.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Where all you have to lose is the pain.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Looking at some injuries we did not highlight last hour.
Looking at the pit in Miami game one that might
be of impact, Desmond reed, the running back for pit
is questionable for that game, did not play against Georgia
Tech and has been limited to only eighteen carries in
the last four games, so that one might be significant.

(32:30):
Only has sixty attempts on the year two hundred and
seventy eight yards and two touchdowns, but still if he's
not available, that one is a big one for pit
and then also for Navy as they look to continue
their tremendous season. Blake Horvath, their quarterback, undisclosed he will
be He was listed as questionable, but he will be

(32:52):
starting against Memphis this weekend, so he will get the
nod to go in the final game potentially the regular
season for them.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Very interesting because Blake Corvath played last night and Navy won.
Fucking Spendhith, No, you're good, You're good. No, no, no,
I'm not trying to look. I know where you're reading from.
Bad guy move shop, but bad guys. I just wanted
to alert the people. I appreciate that you want to
alert to shrop messing up. No, I want to say

(33:23):
that it was a nice win for Navy. They actually
stay alive for the American Conference championship, so they have
the weird scenario.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
I don't know why I thought.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
I thought that Navy Memphis was basketball for some reason, and.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Well there was a lot of college basket. How much
did you drink yesterday?

Speaker 3 (33:38):
But here's the thing that's amazing is that if Navy,
if the if Navy gets a loss from either Tulane
or North Texas, they will find a way into the
AAC championship game, which means that they would play their
championship game before their final game of the regular season. Yep,

(34:00):
it makes no sense, but it's somehow it will work
out that way.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
It's the downside of both of them being in a conference.
I understand why, but it's it's the downside where and
I love that game having its own day, yes, but
it's still just an oddity in the schedule where that's
after Army Navy or it's after a championship Saturday, that's
after the playoff field is set.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Appreciate that report Trouble we come back.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
It's the final segment of the Young Guns right here
on Sports Radio ninety two seven wfn Z.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
It's the final segment of.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
The Young Guns here on Sports Radio ninety two seven
wfn Z. We appreciate all of you that have listened
to what us all morning long. We've appreciated all the
sex we've gotten on the fan duel text line.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Now we get to the fun part of the show.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
I don't think I've ever seen you this down and
out about a pant and we've seen worst Panther teams. Yeah,
we've seen some really bad Panthers team, but you feel
like you have like there's just no there's just no
hope going into Carolina for this game. So we'll go
around the room. Shop, you've got three picks you have
to deliver. I do flounder where you go after shop,

(35:36):
and then I'll follow up with with my prediction.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Shop you said it not me?

Speaker 4 (35:42):
All right, well, let me go ahead and start with
Mama Shrop's prediction. Feeling stop that it's feeling not not
as confident as I guess all of us here, she's saying,
with the rain keeping the Rams from scoring as much
as they potentially would, the Panthers lose twenty seven to seven.

(36:02):
So not looking particularly hopeful there. And then also Colin
Hoggard and myself both with the same score prediction. A
bit odd. You know, maybe I've been doing the show
with him for too long. We're starting to think we're
starting to think the same here, because is two weeks
in a row, we've been really really close with our scores.
We are both going Rams thirty one Panthers seventeen.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Did she ask Colin if this version of the Panthers
could win more games in the ACC or the SEC.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
I will not do that. You can do that yourselves.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
You're just saying you're asking he's gonna call you later
and will continue the argument that you guys had.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
If I see our hotline light up, dude, I'm that
would be amazing. Shrub.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
You were in there for said argument slash discussion. Yes,
I thought the best point I made was that he
was delaying my sandwich eating.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
He was doing that like I was. I was.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
I could taste my sandwich, and at one point, the
fattest song that's been set on this show all day, dude,
I've got the I started getting the Buffalo Chicken at
Jersey MIC's. I used to be a club sub guy,
but now've switched. It's one of the best decisions I've
ever made. But I looked down at my phone. I'm like,
holy hell, it's twelve thirty man, Fat Boy's trying to eat.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
We can talk about Miami thirty twelve thirty, Oh my god,
Oh that's so late.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
I mean, I mean it was when your body pick
it wakes up at four. I mean, I'm ready to
eat by eleven. What you got flound you're picking them,
You're picking the Thirs.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
I want to, man, I really do, because I want
this team to make the playoffs so bad, But I
just I just can't see it in this game. Man,
I get it. It's gonna be rainy. Maybe that affects
the passing game for the Rams. I think it does
a little bit, and I think it will be a
little bit more low scoring than some people believe. Like

(37:59):
there's some I believe that the Panthers are just gonna
get blasted off of this field.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
But I think what they've.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Done with the defensive line, I think the defensive line
has been solid enough to hold up. I think Derek
Brown will probably put the you know this one would
There'll be some added motivation for him to play well
because you do have so many guys that are out.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Hopefully they get Trevin Wallace back.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
If they get Trevin Wallace back, I think that's huge
because if if not, and you're having to play Chris
Barnes and Ban Martin Scott, we're in We're in tough
straits here for us to even for the Panthers to
even keep it close. But I do believe that the
Rams end up winning. I'll go twenty eight to twelve
over the Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
How did you go from wanting to pick the Panthers
to pick it them lose a twenty eight to twelve.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Because he's because he's realistic. No, but I said, I mean,
I love too. Yeah, picked the Panthers win. I'm trying
to ree it. Yeah, I'm trying to ree it. You do.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
Yeah, I think Carolina's winning on Sunday. I picked the
Panthers on Wednesday, twenty one, seventeen, and I've had.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Would be a miracle. I've had two days to sit
on it.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
I've had a Thanksgiving meal without deviled eggs, a pumpkin
pie to eat and still think about it.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
We'll still bring it up the deviled decks.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
And I'm still I'm still convinced this team bounces back
after they play bad.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
They will, you know.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
I think I think Bryce Young will make a lot
of throws on Sunday they did not make on Monday night.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
I think they'll be able to run the football.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
I do put some of this and just maybe the
look ahead factor for LA not taking the Panthers all
that serious. So I think Carolina makes it ugly I
love the fact that it's gonna be cold, wet and rainy.
Props to U shot for going to endure the rain.
Hopefully you dress for the occasion. Yeah, seriously, but yeah,
I think I think Carolina MUCKs it up enough. They

(39:56):
pull the game into a phone booth, and I think
it's gonna be low possession. I think it's gonna be ugly,
but they get just enough done. And I think we're
talking about a team on the bye week that's gonna
be seven and six, although we wouldn't be upset if
they were six seven.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
What's your score prediction?

Speaker 1 (40:13):
Twenty one seventeen picked the Crown. I want to hear
that thing on Sunday.

Speaker 6 (40:19):
I mean, if I do what I want you to
be right, if they do that, there's no way if
you cannot question is Giro Everro the rest of the year,
nobody could question.

Speaker 3 (40:30):
That would be unbelievable with that defense, with how banged
up that defense is, to hold them to seventeen points,
So you think there's gotta be some turnovers in there
from Matthew Stafford, there's no There's no way.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
They're just outright shutting down a.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
Guy who hasn't thrown a team a guy who hasn't
thrown an interception since like mid September.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
By the way, it was like it was the Titans
game back in the week two the last time he
threw an interception. Yeah, maybe it's an interception. I mean,
maybe it's a fumble. Maybe you know, the dirty dirty
kick gets miss handled, something like that. I mean, at
some point, like if the Rams just keep playing at
this this level, I mean, we're gonna be talking about
them as and maybe they already are the proverbial favorites

(41:11):
to win the Super Bowl. I wasn't there with them
coming into the year, so I think there's got to
be some fallback to the means. So and I mean,
and I'm not disagreeing with you're saying about a varro.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
They win this game though on Sunday. That says a
lot about QB nine.

Speaker 1 (41:26):
And I think it'll just be for this week and
then until next week we'll be having and then just dude,
So it's I mean, it's the most exhausting it is
next week.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
No, No, we would have two weeks of raving about them,
all right.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
It's the most exhausting thing in radio outside of having
to work with Willy Pey, which hopefully Smoke is ready
to go man, hopefully he is fueled up and.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
Ready to get off shots. Really, I think you need
to let Willie off the match prodigo.

Speaker 4 (41:54):
All right, really quick before we get on out of here.
Wanting to get some predictions and from the text line
as well. Brian on the fan duel text line, saying
the Panthers keep it close, but the Rams pull away
in the end, Rams win thirty one twenty one. I
don't know if you're totally disappointed, if you know the
Panthers put up twenty one points. Also looking at Oh boy,

(42:15):
who else.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
In it one?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Oh salty Pirates saying Rams thirty seven, he said pancakes,
I think Panthers twenty Uh.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
I think he's a Panther hater if I remember correctly,
Oh Boy.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
Oh Boy line of boys seventy four, also saying let's
go Panthers overtime victory twenty seven twenty four.

Speaker 3 (42:35):
Yeah, that one makes a little bit more sense to me.
I mean, you're giving up some some points you go
to overtime. Lean on, Ryan Fitzgerald, you know that would
be tough though, especially.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
In the rain.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
That's that's if you're a Panther fan, I think the
thing that you're hoping for the most is that it
actually is a pretty rainy day, because that if you can,
if it can affect that offense, it's enough to where
you can keep up offensively, then I think I think
you feel pretty good.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
Dayton Hoggs getting in a last one here, Oh boy,
I thought it was going to go the other way.
It is not my prediction for the Panthers game from
Dayton Hoggs thirty eight to three, Panthers losing a blowout.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
Oh I hope not.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
That would make for a long show on Monday, when
Mack and Bone are back in full throttable. That's gonna
wrap it up here for us today, the Young Guns
filling in from eight to twelve. Coming up next right
here on Sports Radio ninety two seven wfn Z, It's
The Rich Eisen Show on esp and Radio back at

of tonight's game over at the Hives. So for Flounder

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
