One of the most damaging things you can do to relationships with people you love is to sweep things under the rug. It's literally like injecting poison into your relationship and this is so common with family members and those we have close relationships with. The lack of emotional awareness or intelligence in this society is causing the most extreme amounts of pain in so many lives.
