Dr. Anthony Villani is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health. He is the president-elect of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Sarcopenia and Frailty Research (ANZSSFR) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Anthony’s research focuses on nutrition and exercise to support musculoskeletal health and physical function in older adults, particularly sarcopenia and frailty. He also investigates the Mediterranean diet’s impact on health outcomes across the lifespan.
With expertise in clinical trials, body composition assessment, dietary methodologies, and Mediterranean diet interventions, Anthony collaborates on high-quality research projects nationally and internationally, advancing knowledge in diet and healthy aging.
