There's nothing quite like interviewing a dementia expert — and then forgetting your next question.

Dr. Alexis Eastman, a geriatrician at the University of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute, joins to discuss dementia and ways to reduce its risk, ahead of her Badger Talk series at UW-La Crosse from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

All are welcome to attend and bring your own questions — but maybe write them down.

Eastman serves as director of clinical operations for UW geriatrics clinics and as medical director for Badger Prairie Health Care Center. She is involved in memory disorder diagnosis, comprehensive geriatrics care, and developing educational programs and public outreach initiatives.

On the show, Eastman explores ways to reduce dementia risk, the difference between dementia and Alzheimer's, the importance of early education, brain exercises, and the role of genetics.

She also addresses common concerns about memory loss, emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis, and discusses the challenges of ongoing research funding for Alzheimer's and dementia care and prevention.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
