Speaker 2 (00:15):
Good morning. I'm Jennifer Cray, host of your morning Mantra.
Stories and habits can keep us from doing hard, complicated,
and scary things. Today's meditation is an invitation to drop
the story surrounding the challenge your morning mantra. Drop the

(00:40):
story and just do the thing. Let's begin. If it's
safe to do so.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Close your eyes or lower your gaze. Relax your eyes,
relax your ears, relax your jaw, relax your shoulders down,
and bring your attention to your breath, drawing your breath

(01:19):
to the space above your belly button.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
The mind loves to spend stories about who we are,
who others are, about what we do and what we
should be doing, About what will happen if we do this,

(01:49):
or what won't happen if we don't do that. None
of this is true. Even though these stories feel real,
they are only thoughts, patterns of resistance in the past,

(02:18):
trying to keep us safe and secure. But they might
also be keeping us small, keeping us from doing the
things that feel scary, the things that will propel us

(02:38):
along an aligned journey. When we drop the stories, there
is a clarity that arises. This moment, This breath and

(03:02):
the next action can be spontaneous from the heart, moving
towards joy, unattached from the stories and habits. This is

(03:25):
the path of freedom. Today's mantra, drop the story and
just do the thing. Repeat to yourself, either out loud
or in your mind. Drop the story and just do

(03:48):
the thing, bringing your awareness back to your breath, breathing
in and out of your heart space. May you be happy,

(04:11):
May you be well, May you be free from stress, worry,
fear and anxiety, and may your whole life be truly blessed.
Bringing your awareness back to the space around you and

(04:35):
slowly opening your eyes to increase self awareness and growth.
I invite you to listen to this evening's reflection. You
can also deepen your practice with me on inside Timer
