Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s the willingness to move with it. In this morning’s meditation, we explore how fear can guide, protect, and ultimately grow us, and how listening inward helps us know when to leap.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Good morning, I'm Jennifer Cray, host of you One Morning Mantra.
Today's meditation explores the quote feel the fear and do
it anyway, and when this advice is helpful and when
it isn't your morning mantra, It's okay to do things scared.

(00:42):
Let's begin if it's safe to do so.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Close your eyes or lower your gaze. Relax your eyes,
relax your ears, relax your jaw, relax your shoulders.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Down and bring your attention to your breath, drawing your
breath down into your belly. There is a famous quote,

(01:23):
feel the fear and do it anyway. Sometimes this is
good advice. If we are feeling very intuitive, in touch
with our emotions and feelings, and have a deep connection

(01:44):
and knowledge of ourselves, this quote can be the motivation
we need to be brave. However, if our intuition feels
awe and we feel like we can't trust ourselves, it

(02:07):
may not be the right advice that we need in
this moment. It can be helpful to ask questions, if
I do this, will it cause harm to me, to others,

(02:30):
to the environment, Does it give value to what I'm pursuing?
Does it align with my inner essence, my inner self.
If the answers are no, then the fear we feel

(02:51):
is often a sign as something novel, unfamiliar, something that
is calling for us to grow. In these moments, we
can invite fear to sit beside us, and we can
feel the fear, accept the fear, and commit to doing

(03:16):
it anyway. Today's mantra It's okay to do things scared.
Repeat to yourself, either out loud or in your mind,
It's okay to do things scared. Bringing your awareness back

(03:40):
to your breath, breathing in and out of your heart's face.
May you be happy, may you be well, May you
be free from stress, worry, fear, and anxiety, and may.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Your whole life be truly blessed.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Bringing your awareness back to the space around you.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
And slowly opening your eyes.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
To increase self awareness and growth. I invite you to
listen to this evening's reflection. You can also deepen your
practice with me on inside Timer find the link below.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
