Speaker 1 (00:05):
Approche production. Good morning. I'm Jennifer Cray, host of your
morning mantra. Too often we look behind words for hidden motives,
small doubts that whisper we can't trust what we hear.
Today's meditation is about pausing that inner detective and choosing

(00:30):
instead to take people out their word, giving them the
benefit of the doubt. Your mourning mantra, I listen with
an open heart. Let's begin. If it's safe to do so,

(00:51):
close your eyes or lower your gaze. Relax your eyes,
relax your ears, relax your jaw, relax your shoulders down,
and bring your attention to your breath, drawing your breath

(01:17):
down into your heart space. When we hear what others say,
we can take them at their word literally, without interpretation,
without the backstory, or we can second guess what they say,

(01:42):
wondering what they really mean, guessing what is their inner motive.
We can acknowledge that when we take others at their word,
we give them the benefit of the doubt, allowing them
to be and allowing for peace us in our own

(02:06):
minds and hearts. Today is an invitation to rest in
this space of literal listening. Take statements at face value.
Accept intentions as genuine, and when doubt arises, gently return

(02:31):
to the simplicity of the words releasing suspicion and allowing
for trust. Today's mantra I listen with an open heart.
Repeat to yourself, either out loud or in your mind.

(02:55):
I listen with an open heart, bringing your awareness to
your breath and back to the space around you. Slowly
open your eyes to increase self awareness and growth. I

(03:18):
invite you to listen to this evening's reflection. You can
also deepen your practice with me on Inside Timer. Find
