God may not always give us a step-by-step roadmap, He has given us something far greater: His Word. Psalm 119:105 assures us that Scripture serves as a lamp—enough to light the next step, even if not the whole journey.

Fear of the unknown is real—especially when the future feels more like a fog than a clear horizon. Whether it’s a looming decision, unstable circumstances, or sleepless nights of “what-ifs,” many of us find ourselves desperate for clarity and wisdom.

God’s Word isn’t just ink on a page—it’s a living guide. As we seek answers, His truth anchors us. As we wonder which way to go, His voice calls us closer. And most of all, we are never alone. Christ, the Light of the World, walks beside us, lighting the path with grace, wisdom, and peace.

So tonight, if you feel uncertain about what lies ahead, grab the lamp of Scripture. You don’t need to see the whole road to take the next faithful step.

Tonight’s Scripture: Psalm 119:105

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

🙏 Your Nightly Prayer

Lord,
I need direction. The future looms threateningly over me, and I fear what lies ahead on the path of my life. Which way should I go because I am stuck between options? Lead me, O Lord, and direct my steps.
For on my own, I cannot find the place where You want me to be. I trust that Your Word will be a light on my path as I travel into the unknown future. Return my focus to You, the Light of the World, so that I may make a decision that best honors You.
Amen.

🌙 Three Things to Meditate Upon

  1. When light helped you find your way.
Think back to a moment when you used a flashlight or candle in darkness. Let that serve as a visual reminder that God’s Word helps you see, even when your path isn’t fully clear.

  2. Scripture that has guided you before.
Recall verses that helped you in previous times of confusion or choice. What truth did they offer then—and how might they speak into your life now?

  3. Trusting the unseen route.
Have you ever followed a guide during a museum tour or hike, not knowing the next stop but trusting their lead? In the same way, Hebrews 11:8 reminds us that faith means trusting God's direction, even when the destination is unknown.
