קובי פינקלר מארח את רס"ר משה לבהר, ראש מערך המתנדבים הישראלי למשימות צבאיות, שמספר לנו על ארגון וניהול מערך המתנדבים: "מכניסים תחת האלונקה את כל האוכלוסיות למען הניצחון במלחמה. התחלנו מבודדים, והמשכנו לקבוצות אורגניות כמו בתי ספר, תיכונים עמותות של גמלאים, וחברות הייטק. יש לנו שיתוף פעולה עם רוב משרדי הממשלה, עם היענות גדולה - דרך משרד החינוך עד היום עשרות אלפי תלמידים התנדבו במגוון תחומים, יש את משרד התפוצות שאנחנו בשיח מולם וגם המכינות קדם צבאיות יבואו כחלק מההכשרה שלהם לבסיסי צה"ל להתנדב. מערך המתנדבים חיוני למשימות לוגיסטיות מגוונות החל מאריזות ציוד רפואי, קיפול מדים, הכנת קיטבג ללוחמים, אריזת מנות קרב ועוד. מערך המתנדבים מורכב מכל גווני האוכלוסייה שכולל גם כאלה שאינם בקשר ישיר עם צה"ל בשיגרה כמו בעלי צרכים מיוחדים, נשים חרדיות, ומטרתו להמשיך גם אחרי שהמלחמה תסתיים. בנוסף יש מערך מתנדבים קבוע למען ביטחון המידע בחיל המודיעין והתקשוב.
בנוסף יש מערך מתנדבים שמגיע בקביעות מחו"ל - נוחתים כל יום ראשון בשדה תעופה ואז משתבצים בבסיסים להתנדבות בעיקר בתחום הלוגיסטי. אנחנו משתדלים לתת להם בנוסף גם חוויה או אטרקציה נלווית במטרה לתת להם בנוסף להתנדבות גם סיפוק והרגשת שותפות בעשייה במאמץ המלחמתי.
